Politics / Anniversary: BAN Is Nigeria's Biggest Movement - Yahaya Bello Ambassadors by happiness32: 2:28pm On Feb 20, 2022
One Year Anniversary: 'Bello Ambassadors Network Is Nigeria's Biggest Political Movement'

...thank Nigerians For Supporting The New Nigeria Project

In commemoration of its official inauguration on February 20th at the Merit House, Abuja, last year, one of the currently leading political groups in Nigeria, the Bello Ambassadors Network, a group formed to champion the actualization of a youthful president through the governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello come 2023, has made available information about its membership strength so far and what it has been able to achieve within one year of "rigorous" activities across the 36 States.

The leadership of the group, via a statement issued to reporters in Abuja on Sunday, disclosed that the group currently has a membership strength of over 2 million Nigerians with 70 percent youth.

Upon the inauguration of BAN last year, the group had approximately 86,984 registered Nigerians within 24 hours of unveiling its website, making it to become the fastest-growing political group in the country in recent times.

The group said it had targeted a minimum of 5m registered and devoted Ambassadors by December 2021, a fit it got close to through massive support received by concerned Nigerians.

BAN set up with the main objective of creating an exploratory/outreach plan for Nigerians and taking the programs and campaigns to the doorsteps of every Nigerian, has recently toured the South East and South South regions where the people have adopted Bello as their candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

In the statement signed by its national coordinator, Hon. Anthony Edogbo, BAN noted that it has enjoyed rapid growth so far because the man it is out to market is a "sellable product". It said people, particularly the youth, from across the 36 States are rushing to join the group because it is about Yahaya Bello, adding that the governor's towering name is the major factor boosting the membership of the group.

It said the organization is being funded by members and volunteers across the states and has received car donations as well as office spaces across the states.

BAN which has officially inaugurated its state excos in about 16 states said governor Bello is the fittest person to help the youth actualize their dreams of taking over power which has been denied for many years. It said the organization has been able to make young Nigerians realize that their time has come and that it is now and through governor Bello.

On why it chose governor Bello, BAN made it known in the statement that Bello has all the qualities of the leader needed to fix the country, stating that the governor has religious tolerance which he displayed by building the first chapel in the Kogi State government house for Christians as well as creating peaceful co-existence among the religions in the state.

It also said that Bello is the most detribalized leader in the country as the governor's cabinet is said to be made of several tribes in the country. It mentioned the giant strides of the governor in the area of security and education.

2023: South East Political Stakeholders Hold Town Hall Meeting; Issue Communique Supporting Yahaya Bello

A communique has been issued by the South East regional chapter of the Bello Ambassadors Network, BAN, following a Town Hall Meeting held on Saturday, 22nd January 2022 at the Conference Hall of Geneva Hotel, Awka Anambra State which was preceded by a breakfast meeting of critical political stakeholders in the zone on Friday 21st January 2022.

According to the communique made available to the media, the group resolved amongst other things that it has found Yahaya Bello, the executive governor of Kogi State, as its most preferred candidate for the 2023 presidential election, noting that Bello "is a completely detribalized young Governor who epitomizes what a true Nigerian should be."

It highlighted the various challenges currently bedeviling the Nation with particular emphasis on the dire security situation in many parts of the country. While noting the unwavering commitment of the military in tackling these security threats even when they are stretched thin across many theatres of operations, it thanked the APC-led federal government of President Muhammadu Buhari for the unprecedented support to the Armed Forces to respond to the Nation’s security challenges.

The meeting also discussed and agreed on the need for the young people to rally around themselves to produce a youthful president, saying that the time has come for the young people to take over leadership.

It disclosed that it was going to mobilize members to continue mounting pressure on Bello to declare interest in the 2023 presidency.

The Town Hall meeting was attended by the National Coordinator of Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN), Hon. Anthony Edogbo who is also an Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Private Sector, Creative and Digital Economy, and his team from BAN Headquarters as well as the South East Zonal Coordinator of the group, Hon. Stanley Ikenna Onwuchekwe, Zonal Secretary, Michael Chibuzo, and State Coordinators in the five South Eastern States which include Comrade Uche Igbokwe – Abia; Mazi Kenechukwu Nwafor – Anambra; Comrade Iteshi Clinton Iteshi – Ebonyi; Comrade Chiedozie Nnajiofor – Enugu; Dr. Christopher Bekee – Imo) and their delegates.

Other stakeholders at the meeting include Assoc. Prof. Fidelis Aghamelu, Igboeli Arinze Napoleon (Zonal Publicity Secretary, APC), Dr. Chigozie Damian Ezeonyejiaku, Hon. Celestine Uzodike (Coordinator Lead Africa Movement), Hon. Arinze Okafor (SA to Gov. Obiano on Political Matters), Dr. Uchenna Ezeoju, (Nigerian Maritime University, Delta State), Dr. Kingsley Nwosu (Madonna University, Okija), Mr. Obi Edochie (Ministry of Tourism), Dr. Godstime Emeho (UNIZIK), youth and student bodies, Civil Society Organizations, young political appointees, APC young stakeholders, and officials from across the South East, members of the academia and a host of other participants.

2023: 600 women groups to stage ‘One Million Women March’ for Yahaya Bello
At least 600 women groups, drawn from different parts of the country have concluded plans to converge on Abuja next week Tuesday, in a solidarity walk for Governor Yahaya Bello of the Kogi State presidential quest.
Operating under the auspices of Women United For Yahaya Bello (WUYABEL), the women groups, including Non-Governmental Organisations, civil society organisations, religious, professional bodies, women in media, politics, market women as well as top women entrepreneurs, among others, will storm Abuja to drum support for the Governor, ahead of 2023 presidential election.

According to the organisers, the women groups, having come to the obvious conclusion that the nation requires one with pedigree, youthfulness and capacity to succeed incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, have taken it upon themselves to collectively canvas support for Bello, who they said had demonstrated the ability to resolve the myriads of challenges confronting Nigeria.
The Global Coordinator of WUYABEL, Dr Hanatu Adeeko who announced this in Abuja, explained that the gathering will be the first of its kind “especially now that the political stage is almost set”.

According to the women of a substance across key sectors of the Nigerian economy, “Bello, as governor, has redefined governance in Kogi State with sterling and verifiable performance, especially in the areas of women and youth empowerment, poverty alleviation programs, massive infrastructure development, and health care delivery among others,”

Dr Adeeko, a Physician, said, “He (Governor Bello) has empowered and supported women to grow. No state in Nigeria has given more positions to women than Kogi. And sincerely, the state is getting it right in critical areas. We want to encourage other Governors to walk the talk by standing with that one Governor that has made us proud. Governor Yahaya Bello must know that once he has women on his side, he can go to sleep. We believe in his capacity and will make it happen.

“This will be the first in a long while that women on their own will come together in their numbers to speak with one voice.

“We are coming to Abuja to demand that the status quo must be changed. This is the time for us to yield power to younger people, especially those who have given a good account of themselves in other places they’ve rendered service.

“We have observed closely the people that are showing interest in the presidency and if we continue to keep quiet, the change we desire may not manifest. This is the reason different women groups are coming to Abuja to say it loud and clear that it is Yahaya Bello or nobody,” he stated.

The organisers further expressed optimism that Bello’s presidency would usher in a breath of fresh air while asking Nigerians from all walks of life to support the project as it would be “a clear departure from the old order.”

The solidarity walk is tagged, “One Million Women March for GYB”.

How Yahaya Bello Increased Kogi Students Bursaries/Scholarships By 300%

The time appears to have come when each Nigerian student would have close to half of their necessities catered for by the government, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or location. This has already been accomplished in Kogi State, forthcoming a replication at the national level.

There are many explanations for the longing of a lot of Nigerians to have Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, as the president of the next administration. One is the grand student government assistance the government has planned for all Nigerian students through basic replication of what he has done in Kogi state.

Review that Bello arose as the governor of Kogi State in 2015. Quite soon, Ninety-Eight Million Naira was supported for the state's student bursary practice covering the 2017/2018 scholastic period. An uncommon addition for the state's understudies.

The governor expanded the student's special assistance scheme (bursaries/scholarships) by 300% catering for practically the greater part of the necessities of all native students of Kogi across all institutions in the country.

Today, students of Kogi enjoy the most seamless and suitable bursary scheme across the country. The students accept their pay straightforwardly into their bank accounts at each payment period with periodical augmentations.

The student Bursary in Kogi state has kept on being on the augmentation since the 300% declared expansion as it has been redesigned.

This was not the narrative of the past. The situations of students were never felt until a youth who had only left school in a couple of years and knew about the new realities of schooling turned into the governor.

It wouldn't be inappropriate to compliment, ahead, youthful Nigerians who ought to be in higher institutions the nation over in the trusted time of President Yahaya Bello. The delicious government assistance is preferable experienced rather than imagined. Allow everybody presently to get ready to go to class. Schooling to become enjoyable again in Nigeria.
