Thousands of Adamawa Youths Declare Support for Yahaya Bello 2023

No fewer than five thousand youths gathered in Yola, the state capital of Adamawa to declare their love for and support for the 2023 youthful presidency agenda.

The people of Adamawa State declared that Governor Yahaya Bello is a young Nigerian who have become a national bridge builder and an example to all politicians in the country, saying that his qualities on unifying Nigeria through tribal and religious tolerance is what the country needs come 2023.

The people declared this when the Bello Ambassadors Network, a non governmental organization launched it's state chapter in Adamawa to pressure the Kogi State Governor to join the 2023 presidential race.

The National Coordinator of the Organisation, Anthony Edogbo and the former lawmaker in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Suleiman Alkali, led a team of former commissioners, APC chieftains from the state down to the Local Governments and thousands of young people to the inauguration of the Adamawa State Chapter of Bello Ambassadors Network (BAN) which took place in Yola yesterday.

Speaking at the event, the former lawmaker noted that Governor Yahaya Bello is the saving grace of all Nigerians.

BAN whose mandate is to mobilize Nigerian youths for the actualization of a youthful president come 2023 by supporting Yahaya Bello has already rooted political structures across most states in Nigeria. However, the turnout at Adamawa’s inauguration was unprecedented.

BAN North East coordinator, Alkali who spoke on behalf of the youth of the state assured the group that the people of Adamawa are solidly behind the youthful governor as he is one of their own.

The ceremony which took place at Lelewal Hotel Conference Hall in the capital of the state is seen as one of the largest youth gatherings in the state in recent times.

In his remarks, the National Coordinator of the group, Comrade Anthony Edogbo who was a special guest of honor at the occasion disclosed that the group has recorded massive membership registration within the short time of the launch.

Edogbo noted that the group is not struggling as the youth are voluntarily joining the movement for their love for Governor Bello. He said people are sacrificing their resources and giving donations because Nigerians desperately need Bello.

The newly sworn-in Adamawa state Secretary of the Association, Hon Hussaini Ahmadu Har who is a renowned grassroots mobilizer said that the time for youth to take over has come and that the Adamawa BAN exco would do every legitimate thing possible to deliver the state to Governor Bello.

Ganaja Junction Flyover; Gov Yahaya Bello wants work completed in record time.

In what seems a push to deliver in quick time work on the Ganaja Junction Flyover Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello has charged contractors handling the construction of the flyover to hasten pace by ensuring that the project is qualitatively completed even before the stipulated time of delivery.

The Governor gave the charge during an unscheduled visit to the site on Saturday morning in Lokoja, the state capital.

Bello described the road as the major link between North and East of Nigeria thus drawing heavy presence of vehicular movements causing traffic congestion that inconveniences road users and residents. To reduce the burden of hardship on road users, he called on the contractors to double efforts by deploying mechanisms that will accelerate work.

"We must do all within our professional means to hasten efforts on this project, delivering the job on time will ease the burden that comes with the construction period. Do all in your means to ensure quality work and quick delivery of this all-important flyover which serves as the link between travellers from the North to the East." Bello said.

The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Abubakar Ohere assured the Governor that the work will be completed sooner than expected owing to the fact that government has fulfilled her financial obligations including payment of compensations to those whose property was within the site affected.

Food Blockade Intervention: Yahaya Bello is a Presidential Material- Bello Ambassadors

Bello Ambassadors Network (www.ban2023.org BAN), has described the executive governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as ''presidential material'' for his swift intervention into the food blockade that stopped the moving of foodstuffs from North to South. A situation that put the whole nation in a critical condition as prices of foodstuffs dropped drastically in the North and worrisomely rose in the South.

The strike embarked upon by the Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers in Nigeria was suspended after Governor Bello waded in and amicably settled the issue.

Reacting to the success of Bello's meeting with the leadership of AUFCDN and the subsequent suspension of the strike to allow food flow into the South, BAN National Coordinator, Comrade Anthony Edogbo, said Governor Yahaya Bello has proven to Nigerians that he is intellectually fit and wisdom filled to tackle the very many challenges befalling the country.

He added that peace resolution is a key skill that should be embedded in every leader and that the leadership style of Bello should be emulated by everyone occupying public offices.

Edogbo noted that the key role played by the young governor in resolving the food blockede signifies that the youths are ready to take up the mantle of national leadership and reform Nigeria.

President Muhammad Buhari received governor Bello earlier today at the State House in Abuja over the crucial role the governor played in lifting the food blockade.

Politics / Gov Yahaya Bello Advises FG To Apply Local Solutions To National Problems by happiness32: 4:29pm On Mar 03, 2021
Bello advises FG to apply local solutions to national problems

Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello has advocated that the Federal Government should apply “local solutions’’ in tackling major national challenges, including insecurity and economic issues.

Bello gave the advice on Tuesday in Abuja when he received a delegation of Nollywood actors, who came to pledge their support to him in his plan to run for the nation’s presidency in 2023.

He said that his administration had been able to achieve success in every sector by applying “a mixture of local solutions, knowledge and human-based solutions to tackle challenges’’.

Bello said that his administration had taken cognizance of the fact what would endure was a knowledge-based economy rather than a resource-based economy.

He emphasised the need for Nigeria to develop human and knowledge-based resources, through inclusion of youths in governance.

The governor lauded Nollywood actors for their contributions in the creative industry, which he said, had increasingly contributed to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product, employment, youth empowerment and showcasing Nigeria to the world.

“Let me appreciate all of you for the wonderful contributions and for presenting Nigeria to the world, showcasing our rich culture, our unity in diversity and all the good things about Nigeria and Africa.

“I appreciate you for identifying with me on our modest achievements in Kogi State.

“Kogi State, prior to Jan. 27, 2016 when I was sworn in as the fourth Executive Governor used to be a state that was divided among herself, a long ethnic line, religious line, class line and several other types of criminality used to be the order of the day.

“But by the special grace of God, by our leadership style and the touch of quality of the young men and women I was able to assemble, the reverse is the case today in Kogi State.

“Let me appreciate you for urging me to run for the position of president in 2023.

“Kogi State will soon be an oil producing state. It would be celebrated but oil has been the greatest undoing of Nigeria.

“What will last longer than our generation is knowledge-based economy, not resource-based economy.

“There are some of you that did not read arts at tertiary levels, just raw talents and you learnt on the job.

“That is why in Kogi State, we believe in our own local solutions to our own problems. We do not import solutions.

“If we say there is problem coming, we want to see it first, evaluate it, know how it would enter our own territory then apply our own solution to solve the problem.

“That is what we should apply to our problems in Nigeria.

“In Kogi State, we apply the mix of our local solutions and that is how we have solved our problems of insecurity. We have applied our own local solutions and we are developing our infrastructure.

“We have been able to discover that we have solid minerals and we are establishing a university, which is coming up this year. The university will be second to none in Nigeria. It is where we are going to develop our knowledge.

Bello said that another strategy the state had used was women inclusion in governance, explaining that women always played critical roles in peace building.

He also advised youths to key into the opportunities offered by the present administration, pleading with them to join the All Progressives Congress.

“We applied our local knowledge when a certain ailment came in and we simply said we did not want any alien to come in. We are living healthy, we are good.

“This is our leadership style, we are proactive. Can we replicate this in Nigeria, the answer is yes, is it possible, the answer is yes.

“If you are urging me to run for president in 2023, I will simply listen to you and I will throw it back to you because me as a person, I have contributed my own quota, I am still contributing my own quota.”

The leader of the delegation, Mr Seun Oloketuyi, commended Bello for his efforts in promoting youth inclusion in governance, saying that the inclusion was what the country needed.

Oloketuyi pledged the support of Nollywood to Bello in his bid to become president.

“Nollywood is the second largest employer of labour today in Nigeria. We believe that ahead of the 2023 elections, Nollywood has a great role to play as most of the actors have huge followers, making them influential in whatever they say.

“Going into 2023, Nollywood actors have said they will not just sit down and fold their hands; they will sensitize their followers on voting for a youth as president in the person of Gov. Yahaya Bello,” Oloketuyi said.

In his remarks, Dr Segun Okeowo, Director-General of the Best of Nollywood (BON) presented a notification of interest to Bello, seeking Kogi to host the 13th edition of the BON award in November this year.
