MY brother - I repeat in CHINA today, its a sin to construct any structure with CONCRETE as main material.

My broda,, Professionals?So called professionals that would only do nothing but hiking Building materials and make building a house a very very big deal...As long as you have the time,You can build your house yourself instead of a so called contractor that would just hype things for no reason..

The contractor is not the one to carry blocks he or she would employ a bricklayer to do the job,so why go through a contractor who's job is just to look,wait for a while and run to other places..A so.called contractor did my foundation and I only ended up paying so much..Still had to make some little correction when the building started..Later discovered I paid times two for the foundation..

I got a good Bricklayer. .told us the materials to buy we bought all materials and he started work..For goodness sake I am not building a storey building,just a 3bedroom ensuite so why can't I do it myself together with my Dad who already has a house of he's own.

Same way I did carpenter,Welder etc..We bought all materials ourselves and they did their job..

The only part I got a professional was when I did the Plan and survey..and when he did the foundation for me Wey he hike price for no reason..others I did myself.

Took some pictures when the paraphet building was on..Phone camera isn't too good..

Why I am pained is the way you went about the criticism, in all sincerity you may not intend to tarnish the guys reputation but your comments speaks otherwise.from inception teewhy2 was marketing this polysterenparapet specifcally for those building in swampy area and those whose roof load may have impact on the soil structure with intention do concrete parapet,in order to reduce the load he advised/opined that it's better to use polysterenparapet to reduce the Load on the building to forestall future build tilting or sinking.

Any way congrats for your new building God provide for you to complete it good time

Constructive and matured response to the criticism of your product,from the little I have read from all your post on the subject matter you are more particular about load bearing capacity , advising those building in swampy area to embrace this product as an alternative to "Situ" parapet.

Also you have been able to demonstrate the cost saving implications of using the polystyrene parapet with analysis attached to the thread,well for the guy critisizing your product may probably be an expert in installing in situ parapet and has discovered the interest some of his clients are showing towards the polystyrene parapet and might want to use this forum to discredit your product.
In summary the sky is wide for very one to fly ,presentation is a good tool to effective and efficient marketing provided you sell or market quality product with top notch quality installation it will not be that easy to discredit your product ,though since you started this thread I have not seen or heard of defects in this product either through word of mouth or pictures

Note..I am not a house builder nor contractor..I am currently building my own house so I am speaking from experience..When I wanted to do the paraphet I was advised to go for situ..Situ is built,not moulded like the other one and fixed..

The services of welders,carpenter and the bricklayer where employed..I spent roughly less than 700K even though I had some other materials on ground which made it cheaper..

You can read reviews online and you will know better between the two..I am saying with all sense of truthfulness that situ is better..Long lasting,safer,durable..The other one is just cheaper than situ but not better..

Doing parapet is already for people who wants their building to look better and can stand the test of time against rains and storms..

There is this saying that it's the rich that do paraphet..lol..Maybe it is,cos the money i used to do the paraphet is more than the money for the roofing..I mean the woodwork..Word work is about 550K. inclusive of the woods,nails carpentry charge as I was charged 110 by the carpenter...so if you want to do paraphet kuku do the one that might be a little bit expensive but it's more better..If you don't want to do it,Don't do it and proceed to roofing than doing something which to me won't stand the test of time..

Hmmmmmmmmm...I am not here to spoil anybody's work or hustle..But lets be factual with ourselves and tell ourselves that which is the truth..Polystyrene parapet is not good as against situ Parapet..Polystyrene parapet is just Fixed sort of and not built unlike situ parapet..It isnt strong and it tends to fall off in later years which is dangerous..

I did Situ Paraphet for a 3bedroom Flat ensuite..I spent nothing less than 700K..Although myself and my dad handled it..It wasnt handed over to any Building contractor..Situ is more durable,better,long lasting and safer..Although it is more expensive than Polystyrene which is just fixed..

I wont advise anyone to do polystyrene..Make una no do Paraphet better than doing Polystyrene Parapet..as doing parapet is even a choice and not needed..The Money i used for parapet is more expensive than the money for the woodwork for roofing sef..
so it is a choice
