Micra in ibadan is a huge menance to the beautification of ibadan as a whole.

Anyone living on ibadan presently will hear about the recent issue that happened between some police officials and a micra driver.

Following the story intently, fresh fm ( 105.9 ) brought in live the state Nurtw leader Mr Inufele. He butressed that micra is causing a great havoc on the people of ibadan city.
He said " micra are used to kidnap people here"

It was said that the micra driver abused a fellow road user, unknowing to him that the people inside the vehicle were police officers. Those drivers can abuse and curse anything, yet they are the one at fault.

All these been said, one will never argue that micra usage in ibadan is a great setback to that city.


Have you drove or been driven around Ibadan before? I dont know where they got their driving skills from..... Micra drivers will never traffficate or look into their side mirrors before entering the road 'lailai'.

The state government should just ban it and introduce a better transportation system.

Micra taxis where brought it during the Akala administration..And yes it is used for kidnapping and all taxi's too..Not only Micra. .Before Micra came taxi's where used for kidnapping but this isn't the case of only Micra..I only board Micra at public parks and not on the road..

However your reference saying the Micra driver abused the sars officer does not warrant the driver being shot at..The fault of the fracas that happened days back was the fuckinggggg fault of the useless police officers who's main job is to go around and harraas innocent Nigerians

Goovernor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has decried the maltreatment and killing of people of the Southeast Nigerian who are agitating for the state of Biafra, saying that he has forewarned that President Mohammadu Buhari’s second coming would be like the dark days of the military government in 1984 when the nation quaked under heavy militarization.

“I have said it before now that it is only God that can help the Ibo people. What I see going when you see the video clips of that occupation the behavior of the soldiers leaves much to be desired but they cannot act like that without a whistleblower, somebody is behind them telling them to go and cleanse the people. That is recklessness human rights violation in Nigeria today is second to none. And I hope the international community would not be quiet on this," Ayodele Fayose said.

It is unfortunate it is the governor who made the remarks while receiving People’s Democratic Peoples’ Elders caucus in the state led by ex-deputy governor Paul Alabi, who paid him a visit to register their endorsement of his deputy, Olusola Kolapo as preferred candidate for 2018 governorship poll, lamented the fate of those allegedly militarised recently in the Southeast, saying: “I have said it earlier that this is beyond Kanu. That region entirely is embattled and challenged. But you know politics, time will tell."

There is no doubt that Olusola has been endorsed to continue the good governance. We urge Governor Fayose to support to bring together aggrieved members so the forthcoming 2018 poll would be won by the PDP. We support and align fully with the endorsement and have written a letter of congratulations to the Olusola on this development.
