Sports › Arsenal V Chelsea: Battle Of Wits! Dec 23. 8pm by HARDDON(op):
Arsenal and Chelsea both have the chance to give their
set of fans an early Christmas present, as either side
can top the Premier League table with a win and three
points.

This will be no easy task for the side situated in north
London, as Wenger’s men have never beaten a
Mourinho-led Chelsea, starting back in 2004, when ‘The
Special One’ was appointed at Stamford Bridge for his
first stint at the club. The Blues have won five and
drawn four against Arsenal under the Portuguese
manager.

Arsenal will have to do without Jack Wilshere in
midfield, as he begins his two-match ban after a spout
of indiscretion shown to fans in the game against
Manchester City last weekend, but they will hope to
have Laurent Koscielny fit to play, after he sustained a
nasty gash in the game at the Etihad.
Neither side come into this match in great form, as
Arsenal were the subject of a 6-3 demolition by
Manchester City in their game prior to this one. Chelsea
were also dealt a confidence-thrashing blow in
midweek as they were eliminated from the quarter-
final of the Capital One Cup in extra-time.
However, both sides have been given plenty of recovery
time in preparation for a Monday night game which is
billed to be a Christmas cracker.

KICK-OFF: Monday, 8pm.

PAST THREE MEETINGS:
Arsenal 0 Chelsea 2 (Azpilicueta, Mata), Capital One
Cup, October 2013.
Chelsea 2 (Mata, Lampard (pen)) Arsenal 1 (Walcott),
Premier League, January 2013.
Arsenal 1 (Gervinho) Chelsea 2 (Torres, Mata), Premier
League, September 2012.

HEAD TO HEAD:
Arsenal wins: 71
Draws: 52
Chelsea wins: 57

STATS:
Arsenal:
Arsenal have scored first in their last 10 home
matches.
The Gunners have conceded as many goals in their last
2 Premier League games (7) as they had in the
previous 13.
Arsenal have not gone three Premier League fixtures
without a win since January 2013; the third of those
games was against Chelsea.
Chelsea:
Chelsea have scored at least twice in each of their last
six Premier League games (16 goals in total).
Jose Mourinho has never lost against Arsene Wenger as
an opposition manager. (W5 D4 L0)
Juan Mata has scored in each of his four starts against
Arsenal in all competitions for Chelsea.

easyz: A MATHEMATICS STUDENT LETER TO HIS
GIRL FRIEND
My Dear Love, Yesterday, I was
passing by your rectangular house in
trigonometric lane.
There I saw you with your cute
circular face, conical nose and
spherical eyes, standing in your triangular garden.
Before seeing you, my heart was a
null set, but when a vector of
magnitude (likeness) from your eyes
at a deviation of theta
made a tangent to my heart, it differentiated.
My love for you is a quadratic
equation with real
roots, which only you can solve by
making good binary relation
with me.
The cosine of my love for you
extends to infinity. I promise that I
will not resolve you into partial
functions but if I do so, you can
integrate me by applying the limits
from zero to infinity.
You are as essential to me as an
element to a set. The geometry of my
life revolves around your acute
personality.
Yours ever loving,
JOHN... What can you say about the letter?

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Club World Cup: Bayern Munich 2-0 Raja Casablanca. Full time by HARDDON: 7:27pm On Dec 21, 2013
Raja Casablanca will become the first African side
to win the Club World Cup if they beat German
giants Bayern Munich in Saturday's final.
It is a tough task for the unfancied Moroccans to overcome
the reigning European champions but they will be roared on
by a partisan crowd in Marrakech.
"This is not just about Raja, or any city in particular, this is
about Morocco as a whole," said Raja midfielder Kouko
Guehi.

"All the club presidents came here to support us, all of
Morocco supports us and that is truly heart warming.
"We will need the best of us to (win),'' Raja coach Faouzi
Benzarti.
"We will fight in this final, show them that we are men,
warriors. We are going to fight on all fronts to win this
final."

Raja became only the second African club to reach the final
by pulling off a stunning 3-1 win against Brazil's Atletico
Mineiro - a team which featured two-time World Footballer
of the Year Ronaldinho.
And they will take confidence into the match despite having
a squad that sits only mid-table in the Moroccan league and
cost a mere £7.9m to assemble, compared to the £408m
splashed out by Bayern.
On paper, the game seems to be the biggest mismatch in the
history of the competition.
While Bayern are unbeaten in the Bundesliga since October
last year, Raja's results in the Moroccan league have been
so bad that they fired coach Mohamed Fakhir earlier this
month.
However, new coach Faouzi Benzarti has made an instant
impact.
"He's definitely got the best out of us and given us fresh
confidence after an unfortunate run of results," forward
Mouhssine Iajour said.
"His approach is more attack-minded than our previous
coach. He always wants us to attack, no matter what the
state of the game is."
Benzarti's own words leave no room for doubt that he will
not send his team out to sit back.
"We will need the best of us to win. We know the character
of the German teams. We should not let them attack us all
the time," he said.
Whether Raja will get the chance to attack Bayern depends
on their ability to defy the odds again and play the game of
their lives.
Only in the tournament as champions of the host nation,
Raja's run has been remarkable but few people would back
them against Bayern.
The Germans were given byes until the semi-final stage,
where they showed their quality by sweeping aside Asian
champions Guangzhou Evergrande of China 3-0.
However, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has
warned the club to be on their guard.
"Everyone expected Atletico Mineiro to make the final. No-
one, not even here in Morocco, thought Casablanca would
make it,'' he said. "It's a surprise to everyone, us included.
"There can be no complacency and arrogance just because
they're not well-known in the footballing world.
"But the Bayern team is too stable, has too much good
character, and the coach is too ambitious this year. All of
them want this trophy. It would mean we've won everything
there is to win."
The Germans have already won the Champions League,
Bundesliga, German Cup and Uefa Super Cup.
"Getting to the final was a must,'' Bayern captain Philipp
Lahm said. "It gives us the opportunity to get our hands on
another trophy.''
