Amumaigwe:Don't be an ingrate. So at this time, the money must reach your table before you think government did something. Funny Nigerians who do not know what governance is |
This shouldn't be called begging. 1. It was not for him but us Nigerians 2. Check the thread. He asked people to @ him or tesla. 3. Check also, other countries are represented there. There's nothing wrong at all. But why do we Nigerians act like this? Just to make a point. Can we just stop being a critic without direction and basis? Sincerely, it's disgusting how we just do stuffs in Nigeria. This is a media space... It's between official accounts... It's not online begging |
It is not a protest. It is a prayer walk. It's prayer for Nigeria and not protest against government. |
Very very uncooperative societies! As a matter of fact, no one feels there's strike in UNILAG. It's obvious that the strike action is baseless, useless and unnecessary. Rivalry between ASUU and other unions is unnecessary and they should come to understand that they can easily be replaced unlike ASUU members. |
...In that Society... Adedamola Odukoya 26th June, 2019 We are in that society where love is scarce and hatred is imprisoned. Love shows face unexpectedly and hatred gains freedom most times. The society where you get hailed for doing bad and doing good becomes extremely abnormal. That society where praises go forth before actions, getting deceived by same set of people, same way, same system, same time - always. In that society, where your views are subjected to review by some policy makers who were never in the shoes that brought about those views. Education is not important to some people, their ways are their ways, they will get there unfailingly. Force is allowed. In that society where some people go a long way to destroy themselves to affect the one at the top who doesn't care. In that society where some people have traded the future of the people for their own wealth and relevance. That society where public stuff is localised by some local people and yet they rule. The mediocre gets there because the knowledgeable is afraid of being battered by his own people. In that society, where you say the truth, you get misunderstood and you are washed down and being watched by your own people. ' I'm not you, oh yes, not here, from there ' that's the chant. Yet we stay in the same place,- Ironical! In that Society, One person stands up to address the people to get their mind off the current leadership and hope for where there isn't a hope and anticipate for a worse tomorrow. A beautiful society that was in fact great before turns to be a society where termites exist at the grassroots destroying the dividends of democracy - diverting into their private pockets when at last, they won't spend. People suffer at their eyes and they care not. "You die, do I know you?" That society where the common man has no hope because his last hope can not be reached, even if reached can not guarantee safety! That society whose inhabitants are afraid of their own things, prefer that of the other side to theirs and with pride, they echo ' that's authentic! '. This is the society where you get shut up if you want To speak louder for the betterment of all. That society where education is no longer relevant. Should I say schooling? You go to school and the ones who know someone are ahead. We produce first class graduates who can not make us proud the more. Competent on paper, work to be supervised by the white who never read as much as them! Shame, right? We produce Civil engineers yearly and yet these universities look forward to receiving proposals from foreign companies to build a toilet - Amazing? A group of people were mourning. A beautiful young investor, handsome good looking manager, old white woman, that gentle handsome Africa man. Wondering what happened to them? They've been duped by people from that society. News for today, 38 smugglers, drug traffickers, arrested, reports show that they are from.. From where? That society. That society where the youths are ever active - online, waiting for whom to abuse, and probably dupe. Ever gallant soldiers, ever active men. Courageously moved into the forest, defended us, fought gloriously and came back to be imprisoned. What a reward! We've got soldiers on the pitch. They prefer to shoot for the streets of the UK to scoring a goal for the team of that nation - that society. That society where you go out to meet the defender to defend you, only to find out that the defender is defenseless. The God factor is ridiculed. Headquarters of religious activities and God does not abide within. We disappoint God in our deeds, could make God destroy the earth once more. The society where stealing is not corruption. Where corruption needs to be legalized. In that society where the president has no confidence in the health system within, for a little headache requires foreign medical attention. That society where the economy is on the swing. The economy is placed on the seesaw. The economy at one end, nobody at the other end. Yet, millions of people surround the seesaw. Let's not unitedly destroy this society when we can as well unitedly build it. I support restructuring and not break up. If we break, we must restructure our divisions. When will restructuring not come to play. Let's restructure the society and not part of the society. Let no man, the rich, dictate for all of us. When it happens, they know their ways back up to settle. I hope the change comes when I can be sure of security, When we can all celebrate Independence Day with joy, when we can massively troop out to vote because we know they will count. I desire a society of peace and love. I hope for that society where God will abide and call his own. That Society, where Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress are evident. ....In That Society.... The election seems to be dominated by APC, PDP and new comers like AAC, ANN. PT that middle belt and Arewa adopted isn't trending? where is Olawepo-Hashim of People's Trust?? |
It's been very funny how Atiku would be winning polls and all of a sudden is losing. I was really hoping that Atiku will win because of nairaland but sincerely I got to see that people just heat up everything on social media and online forums. All of a sudden, like and share for Buhari started increasing compared to how Buhari trailed behind with low likes in the past few weeks. Everyone associates with a success. Why are you saying they rigged? if PDP won, they wouldn't have rigged but the people's mind was represented? You were shouting Atikulating and still shouting compromised INEC, you should just have given up! There's no election even U.S elections that is of zero malpractice but it's a situation of better gamer. APC and PDP are no saints in this matter. Atikulation has been buried!!!! |

There has been reports flying all around that ASUU has vowed to continue the strike action. This is not only baseless but as well founded on unverifiable truth. The newspaper agency, dailypost, got their information from an unverified Twitter account without making reference to the Union's president. The Union President has not yet spoken on the matter but because of the sensitivity of the information, fake news have sprouted out. Saharareporters as well gave a report but in this report, the referendum conducted at University of Ibadan was the only result used for this assertion. It is therefore advisable that the entire public should wait for the Union's decision tomorrow. recall that the Union President, Prof. Ogunyemi only said the press will be addressed after their meeting tomorrow. However, many schools voted for the suspension of the strike. The final decision lies with the National Executive Council of the Union. hardeysolution reporting for TeamSolution |

Nairalanders, Is it a law that students should stay out of school during elections? As it is now, the federal Ministry of education has directed that schools should go on two compulsory midterm breaks. the first starts on the 13th of February to 18th while the other starts 28th of February to 4th of March. it left me wondering what could be the rationale behind such directive. what's your take on this? |

In 1Cor 9:27, Paul expressed a necessity to have his body under control and subjected lest he becomes a castaway. Does this not strike show what Christ was saying in Matt 7:21-23? Then why do these preachers of eternal security declare that what anyone does with his body doesn't matter? In Gal 5:19-21, we saw the works of the flesh and we should understand even as Paul said, that anyone who works in such wouldn't inherit the kingdom of God! Can someone who doesn't inherit the kingdom have eternal life? Jesus had come to put to death the sin in the flesh (Rom 8:2-4) and also, we should walk in grace in the Spirit of God and that is the definition of walking in victory. Can you continue in sin and call for grace? Never! The death to sin is walking in the Spirit (Rom 6:1-2). Then, does it mean one can not fall into sin as a believer? If one sins, we have Jesus who is there to always intercede for us. That is why Sanctification is a gradual process. There is need for renewal of the soul. That was why Paul could say "i die daily!" despite being dead. There is need to understand that Jesus is always with us to overcome the sinful nature in the soul which is done by the word and Spirit of God. The flesh left an imprint in the soul before one met Christ. After meeting Christ, one should not work after these imprints but to consciously by the Spirit of God remove the imprints which is always painful. This is because we are dead. (We die daily because we are dead). We do not sin, because we are dead. (Gal 2:20, Col 3:1-10). Many people have decided to manipulate the Bible to suit themselves. The Bible is clear enough and the stance of God is made known (2Tim 2:19). Every righteousness is a sin/iniquity. Many deny Jesus the way they live their lives (Titus 1:16a, 2Tim 2:12b). Everyone neee to follow Jesus Christ. Following Jesus is the process of discipleship and sanctification. In Matt 7:21-23, Jesus was referring to the Christians as against some beliefs. He was referring to the chosen that later did fall out of grace. No one can cast out demons and do good works except Christ chose him (Mk. 9:39-40). This clearly meant that the workers of iniquities are the Christians but Alas! They didn't enter into eternal rest. Does this mean they lost their salvation? In Matt 10:22b, Jesus clearly stated that He that endures to the end shall be saved? What salvation? What endurance? The endurance is the process of discipleship and sanctification where Christ sit upon us to refine us and this salvation is the glorification. Does this strike a balance? Some argued that Jesus said these things before going to the cross. Should we for this reason rule out all other words of Christ? Did we forget that He sent the Helper to remind us of all He taught? They as well argued that Jesus had died for all our sins even the future sins. Then the Apostles shouldn't have mentioned at all the essence of rightful living if Jesus died for future sins. This shouldn't be misunderstood. Jesus died for all sins but anyone who doesn't confess his sins and ask for forgiveness still is in his sins (1Jn 1:9). John wrote to Christians and not unbelievers. These clearly means anyone who doesn't seek forgiveness remains in his sins. Paul even admonished us all to take heed lest we fall (1Cor 10:12). In Matt 22:2-13, the parable clearly shows the process of our salvation. It clearly shows that one can end up in outer darkness if one doesn't wear the garment of God's Holiness and righteousnes. Anyone who wears it must accept Christ and walk as one who is heavenly to avoid stains amd wrinkles. Anyone who doesn't have the garment on will end in outer darkness Conclusion This journey is on going and one must fight it to the end. It would be surprising why Jesus was hammering on "He that overcomes" in the letters to the Churches. Therefore, we must all continue to fight it as Christ helps us, following Him to the end so that our names won't be blotted out of the book of Life (Rom 3:5). Everyone must go to the cross and die and even daily though dead (Please understand). Jesus warned us to bear of false teachers of grace that we have now. (Matt 24:24-26). I will advise that however, don't believe in your works rather the finished work of Christ i.e dont be self-righteous. Assurance of Salvation shouldn't be mistaken for Eternal security Our salvation is assured as long as we remain in Christ in all truth. _Gal 6:7-8, Rom 8:1-6, James 4:6-7, 2Pet 2:1, Heb 3:12, 1Cor 9:27, James 5:19-20_ |
