Eg it took months for the water to dry up. The author even made mention of wind blowing over the water.

The author also attempted to make use see Noah using a clever technique to know when the water had receded.

What would have been a miracle?

1. God did not need to start stressing Noah and cramming over 20 million animals inside a wooden crate.
- a real miracle would be for God to recreate all the animals with his spoken words as he did in the beginning.

2. Chapter 8 says God remembered Noah and the animals so he sent a powerful wind to blow over the water.
It took about 3 months for the water to dry up. Noah even had to be sending birds out to check if the water was dried.
- it would have been easy to just ask the waters to disappear.

3. God was angry with humans, but he flooded the whole earth killing all living things.
Since the aim was to kill people why not just kill people
Why bother an old man to be building an ark that even 500 people cannot complete in a year ?

The authors did not bother to tell us how the animals fed in the ark - miracle!

What was happening to their waste? - miracle!

How no animal was trampled. - miracle!

How that quantity of animals fitted into the small space - miracle!

how the dove could pluck a leaf and take it back to Noah, when all noah had to do was look out side the window to see if the water had subsided - miracle!

If I believe that the earth itself was once submerged with water and God made all that stood out therefrom, I would not find it hard to believe that HE allowed same to happen at a point when judgement was due.

Genesis 7:19 clearly states that ALL the mountains under heaven were covered by water.
Genesis 7:15 clearly said that ALL creatures that had breath were represented in the ark. Every single one on earth.
Genesis 7:23 said EVERY living thing on the face of the earth died even all the fishes (lol). ONLY those in the ark were saved. (I guess trying to make the ark look special, hehehehe. The writer of this story must have taken good quality weed)

2. Scientific approach
We were told in Genesis 8:4 we were told that the ark came to rest on top of mount Ararat.

Guess what? Mount Ararat is 5,100 meters tall! any water that will cover mount Ararat will cover the whole earth and only a few taller mountains will be uncovered.

I am very sure if we could resurrect who ever fabricated this story, he would be shocked people still believe his lies despite all evidences and knowledge humanity has in this age.

There were more animals and plants 5000years ago than now. Millions of animals and plants are already extinct. If we put all those into consideration, the number of animals may be more than double.

So we may be talking about 40million plus animals on board.

We have not even considered the food the animals will eat for about 160 days they were in the ark. And all the waste the animals will produce. The amount of smell and carbon dioxide and methane.

My parents were not christians.
I gave my life to christ on an easter day 1996 along with my brother and sister.
It happened around 6pm or 7pm after we watched the story of jesus death on the cross.

I remember that day clearly. The three of us were crying and begging God to forgive us our sins. We were making promises to serve God with all our hearts. We felt really touched by God.

What if it was by God's power that the ark could fit all those animals?

To answer this I would say, if God had this plan he won't have asked Noah to single handedly build such a large ark.

It takes use about a year to build ships that are not even this big and that is even with the use of modern technology!

If God had a miracle in mind, he could have miraculously provided a ship for noah or asked him to build even a far smaller ark that noah and his family could have easily achieved!

5,000years after it is still extremely difficult to build such a vessel talkless of with wood.

it is so obvious the story was calculated to be believable. The fabricators made attempts to make it as realistic as possible. Thinking of a big ark and even using tar to cover it. It shows that there was a deliberate attempt to make the ark physically fit for the job. This was not about a miracle, there was proportion. Such an ark would have been sufficient to save all the animals in mesopotemia, but the author did not know there were millions of different animals around the world.

So let us be realistic here is it was a miracle angle thing, the authors won't lay emphasis on the size and 3 levels and use of tar. Or the windows for ventilation. They tried their best to make it physically and scientifically real.
