Halogenabdul: Islam teaches us to seek knowledge.
For those saying otherwise, I would like to inform you that Islam also give condition and consideration where necessary.
Islam is the most transparent and complete religion. Inshort ISlam is the complete way of Life. Islam is nature. It's natural to be a Muslim and unnatural not to be a Muslim.
Alhamdulilah. Allahu Alam. you no well. Your religion that just started its existence few years ago, Hindu is the oldest religion, they are the only one's that have a say when religion is concerned. |

Eniolohunda: ALHAMDULILAH FOR BEING A MUSLIM. YOU SEE NAIRALAND CHRISTIANS ARE THE MOST INTOLERANT AND STUPID THAT I'VE EVER SEEN. WHENEVER THEY SEE A TREND ABOUT OTHER RELIGIONS, THEY MUST SURELY COME AND SHOW THEIR STUPIDITY, YET THEY CLAIM MOST PEACEFUL AND ALWAYS CRYING MARGINALIZATION. BUNCH OF ILLITERATES! but you kill Christians that preach to fellow Christians, you burn churches because it holds gatherings outside the church premises. Have you heard of such happening in the reverse before? |

The North would only vote for Atiku, unless they have something to gain from Obi. But they wouldn't vote for Tinubu because they're known for their betrayal, in other words they they trust the SW. |

mu2sa2: If you think Nigerian police is inefficient just commit a crime against a police officer. When the news of the kidnapping of the 10 officers broke I knew that the kidnappers were doomed. Ten officers and the criminals think the police will not go all out after them! Once IGP orders that they be rescued "with immediate effect ", the task is all but done. Sadly, though, police don't respond to duty with such zeal if it affects the ordinary citizens. what of the kidnappers, why wasn't any of them arrested? |

uniquetechng: Copy also has different grades with different prices, they may look the same but they are not . Nike copies from Thailand and Vietnam actually got better quality than those from China . they are not actually copies, but are manufactured to fit their country's standards. Just like television, you'll see the same television but they are different from the other. One is produced to fit the UK requirements, another to fit the US requirements, then there are others produced for general use, that's the one's shipped down to Nigeria, the quality is really poor. I bought an Adidas sneakers from Vietnam and it's registered by Adidas. The Gucci slide isn't a copy, because it's not licenced by Gucci. It's a fake that looks like it.

Career › Re: 100k Job On The Mainland Vs 150k Job On Island. Please Help!!! by harmargedon: 2:51pm On Jul 21, 2022 |
Profmetoo: Good morning guys
So I currently work with one of the top commercial banks and I was posted to one of their branches on the mainland very close to my place of residence. So I incur close to zero cost of transportation, no traffic issue, no stress. And the salary is 100k, no promotion in sight, career growth is uncertain and the role isn't really great for my CV. I'm a teller.
Last week I did an interview via zoom because of the nature of my work and I got another job, but on the island. It's a private equity firm and the pay is 150k. The cost of transportation for the month is about 20k. There's great career growth and opportunities for self development. However, I fear the stress of going to the island and back daily. Waking up as early as 4am sometimes and coming back home late.
Please advise me on which to choose. I have till Monday to decide.
Those working on the island and staying on the mainland, how do you cope?
Thank you.

Family › Re: How Can One Stop A Loved One's Drug Addiction? by harmargedon: 2:49pm On Jul 21, 2022 |
kingthreat: To break it short to you guys. My girl has been a pain on my neck lately on her elder brother's case. We all know her brother is into weed and crack, thats the one we know. Guy is in his late 20s. Last year he made a decision in front of their family to quit and live a better life and they supported him.
Now he is fully back into his destructive habit. Recently, he has not been at home as sometimes he hangs out in a friend's place. His mum got a call from him saying he was picked up for no reason by the police and is presently being detained for nothing. When the mum got there, police told her the truth.
Man was caught during a raid on a drug joint and he must be bailed. Police was even telling the mum that they are lucky the raid was not by NDLEA else it would have been more serious. Mum was in tears seeing her son looking tattered and having gone back to such bad habit.
This is someone that is a graduate, but has let his habit make him jobless and a nuisance. I do talk to him sometimes on the dangers of weed, arizona, crack, xtacy, ice, etc. I even sent him 50k to keep him going at a time. He keeps assuring me he is okay. It is abit heartbreaking for me despite him not being my blood. It gets my girl moody most of the time.
Is there anything his loved ones can do to stop him from taking this? Rehab runs into millions and his family cannot fund it. But is there something to make the nigga stop and stop being a problem on his family?
Will appreciate responses from those who were able to get their loved ones to stop drug abuse. take him to any white garment church, tell them that village spirits are after him, relax and watch the wonders of pigeon and candles . Nah joke I dey o... But on a serious note, the best way to stop an addition is self control. If he takes 200 for example a day, he should reduce to 100, after a month, he should reduce to 50, till he stops totally. It's impossible to stop at a go. |
