In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful butterflylion:I'll assume you are a Christian, so, lemme answer this way, in order to avoid a lengthy response. The question is a funny one. It's like asking why God didn't save Jesus from the poison according to John 19:29-30, or better still, why didn't Jesus save himself (all according to your bible). You misunderstand a great deal. This world is not a place of enjoyment. The prophet, finished/completed his mission and went back to his Lord. However way he died is not the issue. Also, regarding the poison, assuming that's what killed him, then, he had the death of a martyr. No other death is better than this. Although, there is no guarantee that the poison killed him. Lol the food spoke to mohammed and said, i have poison in me, yet muhammed ate it. Who spoke through the food?Do you know that everything on the earth (except man and jinn kinds who have free will to choose to, or not) glorifies Allah, you do not know how. Allah commands what He wills. Allah's Apostle said, ''He who eats seven Ajwa dates every morning WILL NOT BE AFFECTED BY POISON OR MAGIC on the day he eats them'' (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 7, Book 65, No. 356).How do you know that Muhammad ate dates that day. Also, assuming he did, did you not notice he lived for 3-4yrs after that? Why did Muhammad and his men still die of poison?Only one companion (Bishr) was reported to have died. Read above to get answers to the second part. Was that statement by Muhammad not inspired by Allah himself?I don't know. There are over 1500-2000 million Muslims in the world. I barely know 100, so, I don't know what you expect. Ibn Sa’d, page 265:Angel Gabriel peace be upon him can not heal anyone. He can certainly pray as he did, but it is ultimately Allah Almighty that decides what takes place and what not. And like I mentioned above, there is no guarantee that Muhammad died from the poison. And even if we were to assume for a second that the Prophet did die from the poison after 3 long years of eating it, this still would not nullify Islam nor prove it to be wrong from your Christian point of view, because Jesus himself said: "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! (From the KJV Bible, Matthew 23:37) " Jesus himself recognized that the Jews kill the Prophets. So even if we were to assume that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was killed through poisoning by the Jews, this still, like I said, would not nullify Islam, nor prove it to be a false religion. The Prophet's death three years after the poisoning incident while his companion died immediately after he ate from the poisoned lamb, clearly proves that Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him (1) Died a natural death and not a poisoned one from eating from the poisoned lamb; (2) Allah Almighty protected the Prophet's life at that time; and (3) Islam is the Divine Truth; (4) Allah Almighty did a Mighty Miracle by having Prophet Muhammad survive the poison that he ate for 3 years, while his companion died few minutes after he ate it! Also, your argument has no basis. It's like saying; If I can't trust Jesus with teaching my children how to speak to their mother respectfully (Matthew 12:47-49 & John 2:3-4) I definitely can't trust him with my salvation. Or If I can't trust Jesus with avoiding the curse of God (Galatians 3:13) I definitely can't trust him with my salvation. Or If I can't trust Jesus with unhesitantly curing a sick child (Matthew 15:22-28) I definitely can't trust him with my salvation. You need to realize that others could make "rules" as well. What really counts though is showing that they matter. You said, Muhammed knew he was going to die or he had choosen to die, why then the inceasant prayers even by a supposed Angel? Why didnt he stop them from praying?Volume 005, Book 059, Hadith Number 713. Narated By Ibn Abbas : 'Umar bin Al-Khattab used to let Ibn Abbas sit beside him, so 'AbdurRahman bin 'Auf said to 'Umar, "We have sons similar to him." 'Umar replied, "(I respect him) because of his status that you know." 'Umar then asked Ibn 'Abbas about the meaning of this Holy Verse: "When comes the help of Allah and the conquest of Mecca..." (110.1) Ibn 'Abbas replied, "That indicated the death of Allah's Apostle which Allah informed him of." 'Umar said, "I do not understand of it except what you understand." (shows he was informed). Is there anything wrong in their prayers? Lemme ask a question. For example, your mum is sick, and she tells you she won't be able to make it, that she is certain (note: she knows how she feels inside, that's why she says such), will you stop praying because she said so? If you are truthful, your answer will be no. Also, Allah sending revelations through Jibree does not necessarily mean that he (Jibreel) knows their meanings. He only knows of that which Allah has given him knowledge of, as shown in the garden, when Allah asked the Angels to name, they couldn't, but Adam did. An Angel who chanted prayers for muhammed in the presence of men, what an Angel Jibril was.Basis? Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59,Whether Muhammad prayed or not, does not nullify Islam. Also, this verse could refer to anyone. Allah says; say: I have no power... , it could refer to me or anyone. If for example, someone comes to me and is like "you are a holy person, why don't you have mansions, why aren't you wealthy", I am commanded by Allah to say the above verse. This is your hadiths, not any other scripture.Except, you twist it to your satisfaction. Stop lying here.Words. But since you used the word, I'm beginning to wonder who the actual liar is. You stand with a brazen face talking about Monothesim, have you forgotten who and what allah was before muhammed was born?Baseless arguments. Allah is what he has been, is and will still be, the creator of all that exists, and the one who deserves to and should be worshipped. NOTE: The meaning of the word Allah in arabic is the bolded. So, your claim of moon good with daughters, blah blah blah is just a baseless fallacy. Also, you know what Ramadhan is, a month in the Islamic calendar, in which fasting has been made compulsory for us, like it was for those before us. Yet, you make baseless claims, in a desperate attempt to fault Islam. Islam is perfect. "Today, I have perfected for you your religion, completed my favour upon you, and chosen for you Islam as your religion. (Qur'an 5:3) why didnt allah save muhammed from poison, but saved Jesus Christ from the Jews. The answer you gave is lame, try again. This is not a matter of "trying again". If you read my my previous and even this post, you'll find the answer, but I guess that's not what you are looking for. Lemme summarize for you. Muhammad's mission was complete, so, he went to meet his Lord. Jesus' mission is not complete yet, hence, the ascension, and future descension. A better question would be "Why is it Jesus returning, not Muhammad"? As for why Allah - the Exalted - will send Jesus (Alayhis Salaam) at the end of time and not our Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam), then Allah - the Exalted - Says: {".and your Lord Creates what He Wills and Chooses. The choice is not for them."} And this touches upon a wisdom: that the Christians lied regarding Jesus and fabricated on his behalf - they, and the Jews. So, the Christians claim that Jesus was killed by them, and the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam) informed us that at the end of time, he (Jesus) will descend. And if he descends, we can benefit from this in two ways: Firstly: that the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam) spoke the truth, and that he is the seal of the Prophets, because he informed us of something that would happen in the future. Therefore, he is truthful in everything that he reports from his Lord. Secondly: the Christians have lied in their fabrications regarding Jesus. And from the additional wisdoms: that it will be truthfully shown that Muhammad (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam) is the Seal of the Prophets, because if it was Muhammad (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam) who descended, we would not benefit from that in any obvious way. But, if Jesus (Alayhis salaam) is the one who descends and then follows the Shari'ah of our Prophet, and ruled by it, and obligated the people to follow it, and obligated himself to follow it - and, also, prayed behind the expected Mahdi - all of this would undoubtedly show that the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam) is the seal of the Prophets, and that his Shari'ah is the seal of all the divine messages, and that nobody will benefit from claiming that he is a follower of Jesus - even if he had the original Gospel, without its alterations - because Jesus will rule by the Shari'ah of the Prophet (Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam). And from the additional wisdom in this: that the death of the Anti-Christ will be by the hands of the true Christ, as the false Christ will be killed by Jesus the son of Mary - so the Masih of Kufr will be killed by the Masih of Iman. And from the additional wisdom: that Jesus (Alayhis Salaam) is the one who gave glad tidings of the Prophet ((Sallalahu Alayhi Wassalam)) in the Qur'an, as the Exalted mentions: {".and a giver of glad tidings of a Messenger that will come after me whose name is Ahmad."} , and in the Gospel likewise. So, he will descend to see if those who ascribe themselves to him listened to him - did they listen to his glad tidings? Or did they insistently remain upon their disbelief and stubbornness? |
mine85:Doesn't really cut it you know. What I see, is that the words of these "disciples" mostly contradict those of Jesus, then, who do you follow. Jesus said the disciple can never be greater than the master. I'll rather obey the master, and not the disciple. Don't know about you though. 2. Good works are necessary but in christendom, it is not by works lest any man boast..Agreed. |
butterflylion:No pretense, I didn't see it before. It was only after reading this I went to look for it. I'll provide answers for you. Was already composing my answers, but everything got cleared, and it's late. So, I'll go to bed, and In shaa Allah, be expecting my answers tomorrow, no certain time. |

waice6571:Alhamdulillah. I will like to limit myself to the first 3questions for the sake of this discussion.Very well. My answers were not on the basis any religion. It is in the light of truth about the world we live.No problem. If we keep relating to God in the light of religion we will keep mising the mark. Did you realise that, religion was not in the mind of God when he created the heaven and the earth. This solely depends on what you mean by "religion". Allah says in the Quran: " This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Qur'an 5:3) NOTE: Islam means total submission to the will of Almighty God. So, if you look at it in this light, you will see that even when Adam was created, he naturally submitted to Allah, his creator. So, if you look at it this way, you'll see that the religion of Islam has been there, from the creation of Adam. The question about the fall that I raised can you in any way trace it to religion?Well, if you look at it in the light of what I wrote immediately before this, you'll see that despite Adam submitted to Almighty God (Islam), he disobeyed. It may or may not be related to religion, depending on how you look at it. If the 2 points above can stand independent of religion then, the solution to the problems of the fall (JESUS CHRIST) should not be in affiliation with religion. From my above replies, you'll notice I quoted Qur'an 5:3. Where Allah says He has made our religion Islam (I.e, submission to Him) Lastly, pls feed me back on God's solution to the problem of the fall of man without JESUS CHRIST.In Islam, we believe God Almighty is Supreme and Universal, no problem is too big for Him. He simply commands whatever He wills, into or out of existence. We believe Adam sinned, made a mistake by eating from the tree which Allah forbade him and Eve from eating. They repented, and Allah forgave them. Their sin is in no way connected to us. Allah says; "No bearer of burden will bear the burden of another". It will be unfair to us if God Almighty punishes us for a sin we didn't do. That would be the height of injustice. So, when you say the fall of man, if you mean the original sin, it has nothing to do with us. If you mean "man on earth", Allah has sent prophets, to different people and at different times, to call us to our Lord in worship. |
mine85:If that's what you believe, I have no problem with it. But, I want to ask a few questions. I'll like you to do justice to them. 1. I'll like you to tell me in Jesus' words, where he said you have to accept his blood to enter heaven. Because from what I have read, Jesus said "Unless your good works exceed that of the pharisees and scribes, you will not enter heaven". He didn't say unless you accept my blood, you'll not enter heaven. What you quoted is someone else's thoughts and words not Jesus'. I'll like to see what the master says, not the disciple. 2. My question in that post, was "Does it mean good deeds don't matter, because you said the only way to salvation is 'the blood'? Meaning once you accept it, you needn't do any good deeds? Kindly treat the above questions of mine. |
ScienceWatch:I don't get your message. Please, expatiate. |
ScienceWatch:I don't really get you though. But, just so you know, I'm a Muslim, and I can't even imagine myself following any of the above you mentioned. If you read more of my posts, you'll understand what I was driving at with this particular post you quoted. Salaam. |
@waice6571 I have provided answers, if you look back, at previous posts, you'll find answers to your last 3questions. Also, the first 3 you answered are in the light of Christianity. I have provided answers in the light of Islam. But if they are not clear, please, feel free to ask, and I'll expatiate to the best of my ability. Salaam |
EyeHateGod:To you |
JideAmuGiaka:Don't be so sure, there's a lot of them out there. Research for yourself. |
JideAmuGiaka:Actually, there are Christians who do. The media simply conceals them. In fact, there are very violent Christian groups, who have killed millions. Research for yourself. |
butterflylion:First, everything happens byAllah's will, and and according to His perfect design. Second, The biographies of Muhammad are clear that he lived for many years after consuming the poison. The Prophet displayed tremendous energy after eating the poison, showing that the poison had no effect on him. The Prophet detected the poison whereas the companions failed to detect it. The Prophet lived for four years after the poison! Once the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was given food mixed with poison to eat. He who ate it first expired, but the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) lived for four years even after taking that food. That food told the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam): There is poison in me. The Prophet showed tremendous energy before his death, the poison had no effect on him. When the Prophet conquered Mecca, he was fasting! AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman reported on the authority of a Companion of the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him): I saw the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) commanding the people while he was travelling on the occasion of the conquest of Mecca not to observe fast. He said: Be strong for your enemy. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) fasted himself. (Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 13, Number2358) Where did the Prophet acquire the strength to fast? He was truly a Prophet of God because he continued to fast during Ramadan! The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) used to count the days in Sha'ban in a manner he did not count any other month; then he fasted when he sighted the new moon of Ramadan; but if the weather was cloudy he counted thirty days and then fasted. (Narrated Aisha Ummul Mu'minin:, Sunan Abu-Dawud) The prophet also said, in an authentic hadith, that No prophet of Allah passes away, except he has been asked to choose to live, or to die. Muhammad had the opportunity to live longer on earth, but He chose to go at that time. Moreover, his message was complete. Jesus (pbuh) is coming again, as the Messiah, to liberate mankind from the heinous activities of the Dajjal, so, the ascension is all part of the divine plan of Allah. Remember, all manner of prayers were offered,I don't know what you mean by "all manner of prayers", but most definitely, the Muslims would have prayed for the recovery of the prophet, but the prophet, personally, was aware, and was happy to go to his Lord. Jinn Jibril was invoked, yet nothing. Mohammed died.First, Jibril is an Angel, not a jinn. Also, Muslims don't invoke Jibril for anything, he is only a creation of Allah. But Jesus was snatched off and taken to allahs heaven, allah hoodwinked the Jews by replacing a look-a-like to make the Jews believe they killed Jesus. All part of Allah's divine plan. The question am trying to ask is, WHAT WAS JESUS' OFFENCE?If you mean "why the Jews and hypocrites wanted to kill him", He needn't do anything wrong, to be persecuted. He was simply preaching monotheism. Likewise, Muhammad was persecuted in Makka by the pagan Arabs for preaching monotheism, till he migrated to Madina, yet, they weren't satisfied, and still followed, to further persecute him and the Muslims. |
visita:Like I said before, I believe they also worship God Almighty, in their own way. But, when you say He introduced himself as Jehovah to them, I don't know. Why? 1st, I don't know the meaning of the word "Jehovah" 2nd, The Qur'an does not mention revealing to the followers of Moses (pbuh) and Jesus (pbuh) that he is Jehovah. I think you again misunderstand me. I believe in the Qur'an, and they believe in their holy books. I don't believe in their books, they don't believe in mine. I follow the way it is laid down in the Qur'an to worship God Almighty, likewise, they follow the way it laid down in their scriptures to worship God Almighty. If God Almighty said He is Jehovah (note: I don't know the meaning), in their scriptures, it is for them. Such is not mentioned in the Qur'an, so I do not concur. NOTE: If Jehovah means something that can be attributed to God, according to the Qur'an, in another language, then, I have no problem with it. |
AccidentalGenius:I would not have answered, because your tone sounds like you are criticizing, not seeking truth. But for the benefit of others, I will. What ISIS, or whatever other radical groups are doing is not the basis of Islam. The basis of Islam is the Qur'an and Authentic Hadith. In every circle, or group, you most certainly have extremism. There will always be people who claim to be part of a system, yet, cherry pick and sugar coat the tenets of belief of that system, in order to suit their whims and desires, that doesn't mean they are doing the right thing. Open the Qur'an and read for yourself to know what it truly teaches. |
EyeHateGod:Another astonishing claim. Lemme see what I can do for you. First, The Arabic word for god is ilah. It can be made plural ilahi (gods) or feminine ilaha (goddess). It can also be used with the creations, e.g, godmother, godfather, etc. The word "Allah" in Arabic is unique. It cannot be pluralized, feminized, or used with creation. It is unique. If you look at it, it is as though you are saying Al ilah, The God. In conclusion, Allah means the one who deserves to be worshipped, and that is non other than the Creator of the universe. Salaam |
benzics:Why don't you tell me. Flat earthWrong translation. Here's the correct one: SAHIH INTERNATIONAL "And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse" Qur'an 71:19. I guess that's self explanatory. Beat a womanSelf explanatory. That means women don't have a mind of their own but to just obey menI wonder how you managed to interpret the above verse in this manner. Lemme explain better. First, Allah says men are in charge of women because of their responsibility, I.e, men are responsible for women, hope you get me. Second, women should be obedient to their husbands. Are you telling me obedience to your parents makes you a mindless robot? Third, speaking on arrogance, these are in steps. i. admonish her: is there anything wrong in having discussions and heart to hearts with your wife, in addressing issues? Also, if she is a good wife, she will reason with her husband, and they will resolve whatever issue they have. ii. if that doesn't work, abandon her to her bed. Any responsible woman, seeing her husband avoiding her in bed, will know something is wrong, and dialog with her husband. Is it too difficult? iii. If she still continues in her attitude, ignoring the first two, you beat. Note, some scholars say that the beating referred to here is symbolic(like using a toothpick to hit), just to let her know she has gone too far, not your regular definition of "beat". Also, even though it is symbolic, you don't beat on the face, and you don't beat to cause injury. But I don't even see any reason why a loving couple would get passed stage 1. HomosI don't see anything wrong in this verse Many more...Please, feel free. Salaam. |
visita:Alhamdulillah. You seem to misunderstand me. I believe Judaism, Christianity, Islam and all other religions which believe in the worship of a supreme being, all worship The creator of the universe, Allah. However, the mode of worship, and the way God Almighty is perceived in these religions is different. E.g, Christians believe that the God head is 3-in-1, whereas in Islam, we are made to understand that God Almighty is one alone, and does not share his divinity. We also believe association of partners with Allah is shirk (polytheism) and is the greatest sin. Also, some people say "Allah", like it means some form of Arabian god, NO. Allah in simple terms means "the one who deserves to, and should be worshipped". Concerning ur question, I believe Qur'an 112 will answer that. "Say: He Allah is one. Allah, the eternal refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent." (QUR'AN 112) Also, God Almighty has unique qualities, as we understand from the Qur'an. Hope I have answered you. |
benzics:Quite some astonishing claims you have here. From the Qur'an you say? Why don't you bring proof, concerning each of your points, and In Shaa Allah, I'll answer you to the best of my ability. Though, your diction says a lot about you you know. |
visita:I have performed some study, and reflected on them, and have to come to the conclusion that Islam has always and will always be the truth. I don't know if you believe in God or not, but your very existence is because there is a creator, Allah. If we go back, according to science, you'll agree with me that at a time, there was only a pair of humans. So, before them, what?? If we agree with the theory of evolution, for example, we will go back to the amoeba. Two questions: 1. Are you saying a group of amoeba, without brains came and thought for themselves, some decided to form a monkey, some lion, some fish, etc? 2. Assuming it is correct, we go back to a time there was nothing, no life. Life cannot exist from lifelessness without some intervention of some sort. Likewise, nothing can form out of nothingness, on it's own. This fact alone is enough proof that God exists, for those who say He doesn't. |
I do not wish to prolong this discussion further, but I will answer you. peacesamuel94:Let us look at John 10:30 "I (Jesus) and the Father are One." This verse is severely misunderstood and is taken out of context, because beginning at verse John 10:23 we read (in the context of 10:30) about Jesus talking to the Jews. In verse John 10:28-30 , talking about his followers as his sheep, he states: "...Neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father who gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are One." These verses prove only that Jesus and the Father are one, in that no man can pluck the sheep out of either's hand. It does not at all state that Jesus is God's equal in everything. In fact the words of Jesus, " My Father, who gave them me is Greater than ALL...," in John 10:29 completely negates this claim, otherwise we are left with a contradiction just a sentence apart. "All" includes everyone, even Jesus. Also let us look at verse John 17:20-22 "That the ALL may be made ONE. Like thou Father art in me, I in thee, that they may be ONE in us. I in them, they in me, that they may be perfect in ONE" . In this verse, the same word ONE is used, the Greek, HEN is used, not only to describe Jesus and the Father but to describe Jesus, the Father and eleven of the twelve disciples of Jesus. So here if that implies equality, we have a unique case of 13 Gods. Of the verse in question, "I and the Father are One" in (John 10:30) , we also need to take note of the verses following the 30th verse in the text. In those verses, the Jews accuse Jesus falsely of claiming to be God by these words. He however replies, proving their accusation wrong by their own text: "The Jews answered him saying,'For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because that thou being a man, makest thyself a God '" (John 10:33) . Jesus replies to this accusation saying: "Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, "I said ye are gods. If He can call them gods, unto whom the word of God came, say ye of him whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, "Thou blasphemeth," because I said I am the son of God?'" (John 10:34-36). Let us look at Acts 2:22 "O you men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you..." Peter in the Book of Acts testifies about Jesus. Jesus thus even to his disciples, as to early Christians, not poisoned by Pauline doctrine, was a man, not a God. Furthermore, Question: In John 10:30 Jesus says, "I and the Father are one [hen]." Doesn't this show that they are one in essence? Answer: This statement does not suggest either a dual or triune deity. What John's Jesus meant by the word hen (one) becomes clear from his prayer concerning the apostles: "That they may be one [hen], just as we are one [hen]" (John 17:22), which means that they should be united in agreement with one another as he (Jesus) is always united in agreement with God, as stated: "I [Jesus] always do the things that are pleasing to Him [God]" (John 8:29). There is thus no implication that Jesus and God, or the twelve apostles are to be considered as of one essence. Hope you get me. Salaam. |
waice6571:Brother, thank you very much. Truth be told, this is the true nature of Islam, this is how we've been taught to relate with others, but no one is perfect, so, I don't blame my brothers and sisters in humanity, when they speak in ways that are otherwise. Also, thank you for these questions. waice6571:Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has foretold the return of Jesus (pbuh). Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has prophesied about several events that will occur just before the advent of the day of judgment, both in the Qur'an and Authentic Hadith. The return of Jesus will occur AFTER the Anti-Christ (known in Islam as the Dajjal, meaning the Deceiver who claims to be God) appears and attempts to deceive people into worshipping him. Then, Jesus (the Messiah) will descend from Heaven, pursue and kill the Anti-Christ, and destroy the savage and unbelieving armies of Gog and Magog, and bring peace and brotherhood to the World. So, it is evident, that Jesus (pbuh)'s second coming is not to reconcile us with God Almighty, that is the message of Muhammad (pbuh). Instead, Jesus (pbuh) is coming as the Messiah, to undo all the hardship that would be caused by the reign of the dajjal. He won't bring anything new to Islam, but will come as a Muslim, following what has been revealed to Muhammad(pbuh) waice6571:This depends solely on what you mean. If you are talking of the concept of original sin, there is no such believe in Islam, we believe all are born pure. waice6571:During the time of the prophethood ofJesus (pbuh) he was the way to, God. Believing in his message (of Tauheed), and in his prophethood was the way of salvation. So, I believe you now understand what his life fulfilled. Concerning his 'death', we have been made to understand, by Muhammad, on the authority of the Holy Qur'an, that Jesus (pbuh) was not crucified, as such, he didn't die, rather, God Almighty raised him to the heavens. waice6571:Allah says in the Qur'an "We have not sent the prophets, except as a mercy to mankind" The coming of Muhammad (pbuh) is to give us the message of Tauheed (Islamic monotheism), to earn us salvation, we believe he is the greatest messenger of God, he was sent to the whole world, with the Qur'an (the last and final revelation). I personally like using this statement in regard to Muhammad, "he was the last, but not the least." So, the coming of Muhammad (pbuh) is one of the mercies of Allah to mankind, and even jinn kind. waice6571:Two months after performing the Hajj (Farewell Pilgrimage ), Prophet Muhammad fell ill. He continued to lead the congregation prayers. After one of these prayers he invoked special blessings on the martyrs of Uhud, and then addressed the Muslims: “There is a slave among the slaves of Allah (The One God) to whom God has offered the choice between this world and that which is with Him, and the slave has chosen that which is with God.” Upon hearing this Abu Bakr (ra) wept as he understood that the Prophet was talking about himself and that the choice meant his imminent death. The Prophet continued: “I warn you O Muslims to be good to the Ansar (the Helpers, i.e., those residents of Medina who helped the Emigrants from Mecca). They have performed their duty well. Muslims will increase in number but Ansar will dwindle and be as salt in a meal. “Woe to the nations before you who worshiped the tombs of their prophets. I forbid you to do that. O people, the most unselfish of men to me in his companionship is Abu Bakr, and if I were to take from mankind an inseparable friend he would be Abu Bakr - but the brotherhood of faith is ours until God unite us in His presence. O my dear daughter Fatimah and O my dear aunt Safiyah, spend your efforts in the way of the hereafter for I will not be able to help you against the Will of Allah. “I go before you and I am your witness. Your meeting with me is at the pool (a lake fed by the celestial river Kawthar where believers will quench their thirst on their entry into paradise.). I fear not for you that you will set up gods beside Allah (The One God); but I fear for you that you will rival one another in worldly gains .” Soon after this sermon, his last in the mosque, the Prophet became so weak that he could not move. He then appointed Abu Bakr (ra) to lead the prayers. The Prophet spent the rest of his illness in the apartment of his beloved wife A’ishah (ra). On the early morning of twelfth of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the prophet’s fever abated and he went to the mosque, assisted by Fadl and Thawban, when Abu Bakr was already leading the prayer. Realizing that the prophet was approaching, Abu Bakr stepped back without turning his head, but the prophet pressed his hand on his shoulder to let him know to continue. The Prophet sat on the right of Abu Bakr and completed the prayer while seated. The apparent recovery of the Prophet overjoyed the Muslims. Anas (ra) is reported to have said that I never saw the Prophet’s face more beautiful than it was at that hour. Within hours, the Prophet lost his consciousness. He opened his eyes again an hour later saying to A’ishah (ra): “No Prophet is taken by death until he has been shown his place in Paradise and then offered the choice to live or to die.” Among the last words he said were: “With the supreme communion in Paradise, with those upon whom God has showered his favor, the prophets and the saints and the martyrs and the righteous, most excellent for communion are they.” The Prophet’s last words were “O Allah, with the supreme communion. ”He died in the evening of the twelfth of Rabi’ al-Awwal (June 8, 632 A.D.) at the age of sixty-three. The news of the Prophet’s death was so hard upon close companions and Muslims that some of them refused to believe that he had passed away. (At the close of his death, he looked youthful as if in his forties and his face always shown a great radiance). Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr (ra) who was later to become the first caliph went to the mosque and delivered one of the noblest speeches: “O People! If Muhammad is the sole object of your adoration, then know that he is dead. But if it is Allah (The One God) you Worshiped, then know that He does not die.” He then recited the following verse from the Qur'an, 3:144, which was revealed after the Battle of Uhud: “Muhammad is no more than an Apostle: many were the Apostles that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will you then turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude.” The Prophet was buried the next day at the same place where he died. The place of his burial was decided by his saying as related by Abu Bakr (ra): “Allah does not cause a prophet to die but in the place where he is to be buried.” The Prophet lived a most simple, austere and modest life. He and his family used to go without cooked meal several days at a time, relying only on dates, dried bread and water. During the day he was the busiest man, as he performed his duties in many roles all at once as head of state, chief justice, commander-in-chief, arbitrator, instructor and family man. He was the most devoted man at night, He used to spend one- to two-thirds of every night in prayer and meditation (Qur'an 73:20). All of his children died before his death except Fatimah (ra) who died six months after his death. All of the Prophet’s wives (known as Ummul Momineen, i.e., mother of the faithful) passed their widowhood during the remaining period of their lives. The Prophet’s possession consisted of mats, blankets, jugs and other simple things even when he was the virtual ruler of Arabia. He left nothing to be inherited except a white mule (a gift from Muqawqis ), and a piece of land that he had made a gift during his life time. Among his last words were: “We the community of Prophets are not inherited. Whatever we leave is for charity.” The Prophet’s actions and words were remembered and later recorded (known as Hadith), so that Muslims in future generations to the end of time could try to act and speak as he did. He has served as an example for all Muslims in all periods to modern times. He will remain a model example for all of humanity. waice6571:Allah says in the Qur'an, "We make no distinction between Our Messengers" [Quran 2:285] All messengers, when they die, go to heaven. Muhammad is also a messenger of Allah, in fact, the greatest, hence he is also in heaven. waice6571:I hope I have answered you to your satisfaction. Salaam. |
peacesamuel94:Brother, I don't like to prolong discussions unnecessarily. But truth be told, my question is not answered. The claim of 'I am' by Jesus (pbuh) in john, is taken as divinity in comparison to God saying 'I am what I am' in Exodus 3:14. But you fail to realize that: 1. In Exodus, after that statement, God revealed his Might, Glory and Power, but according to John, After Jesus made the statement, he hid himself and ran away. 2. The Greek word 'ego eimi' translated as 'I am' is also used in Luke 19:22, and translated as 'I was'. The simple meaning is that Jesus(existed) before Abraham, not that he is God. There is a biased nature in the translation of the bible, by modern translators. Since most are trinitarian, they interpret to suit their belief of trinity. 3. Jesus didn't speak Greek, but rather, Aramaic, but all the bibles available are in Greek or Hebrew, meaning that there is no proof that Jesus made that statement, or spoke those words. For more information, check: http://www.trinitytruth.org/meaningofIamjohn858.html http://www.answering-christianity.com/iam.htm From all these, the statement is too ambiguous to be translated to mean that Jesus said he was God. I asked for clear words. My brother, reason it, it wouldn't be fair, that over 5.5 billion people are going to hell, if they don't believe that Jesus is God incarnate, yet, he didn't for once state it in clear terms. I'm sure you'll agree with me on that. NOTE: I only seek to reason with my brothers and sisters in Christianity. Salaam. |
Haroun13:I'm pretty sure my Atheist brothers and sisters believe in science right? So, let's take a short journey on science and Islam. 1. “God then turned towards the heaven when it was smoke” Qur’an, 41:11 “Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then I split them apart?” Qur’an, 21:30 According to modern science, the separation process resulted in the formation of multiple worlds, a concept which appears dozens of times in the Qur’an. For example, look at the first chapter of the Qur’an, al-Faatihah: ( “Praise be to God, the Lord of the Worlds.” Qur’an, 1:1 ). These Qur’anic references are in perfect agreement with modern ideas on the existence of primary nebula (galactic dust), followed by the separation of the elements which resulted in the formation of galaxies and then stars from which the planets were born. Reference is also made in the Qur’an to an intermediary creation between the heavens and the earth, as seen in chapter al-Furqaan: “God is the one who created the heavens, the earth and what is between them...” Qur’an, 25:59 It would seem that this intermediary creation corresponds to the modern discovery of bridges of matter which are present outside organized astronomical systems. 2. "Did you see how Allah created seven heavens, one above the other, and made in them the moon a light and the sun a lamp?" Qur’an, 78:12-13 The moon is an inert body which reflects light, whereas the sun is a celestial body in a state of permanent combustion producing both light and heat. 3. Stars and Planets The word ‘star’ (najm) in the Qur’an ( 86:3 ) is accompanied by the adjective thaaqib which indicates that it burns and consumes itself as it pierces through the shadows of the night. It was much later discovered that stars are heavenly bodies producing their own light like the sun. In the Qur’an, a different word, kawkab, is used to refer to the planets which are celestial bodies that reflect light and do not produce their own light like the sun. “We have adorned the lowest heaven with ornaments, the planets.” Qur’an, 37:6 4. The Day and Night The Qur’anic description of the sequence of day and night would, in itself, be rather commonplace were it not for the fact that it is expressed in terms that are today highly appropriate. The Qur’an uses the verb kawwara in chapter az-Zumar to describe the way the night ‘winds’ or ‘coils’ itself around the day and the day around the night. “He coils the night upon the day and the day upon the night.” Qur’an, 39:5 The original meaning of the verb is to coil a turban around the head. This is a totally valid comparison; yet at the time the Qur’an was revealed, the astronomical data necessary to make this comparison were unknown. It is not until man landed on the moon and observed the earth spinning on its axis, that the dark half of the globe appeared to wind itself around the light and the light half appeared to wind itself around the dark. 5. The Solar Apex The notion of a settled place for the sun is vividly described in chapter Yaa Seen of the Qur’an: "The sun runs its course to a settled place That is the decree of the Almighty, the All Knowing.” Qur’an, 36:38 “Settled place” is the translation of the word mustaqarr which indicates an exact appointed place and time. Modern astronomy confirms that the solar system is indeed moving in space at a rate of 12 miles per second towards a point situated in the constellation of Hercules (alpha lyrae ) whose exact location has been precisely calculated. Astronomers have even give it a name, the solar apex. 6. Expansion of the Universe Chapter ath-Thaa riyaat of the Qur’an also seems to allude to one of the most imposing discoveries of modern science, the expansion of the Universe. “We have built the heaven with might and We it is who make it expand.” Qur’an 51:47 The expansion of the universe was first suggested by the general theory of relativity and is supported by the calculations of astrophysics. The regular movement of the galactic light towards the red section of the spectrum is explained by the distancing of one galaxy from another. Thus, the size of the universe appears to be progressively increasing. 7. Conquest of Space Among the achievements of modern science is the “conquest” of space which has resulted in mans journey to the moon. The prediction of this event surely springs to mind when we read the chapter ar-Rahmaan in the Qur’an: “O assembly of Jinns and men, if you can penetrate the regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate them! You will not penetrate them except with authority.” Qur’an 55:33 Authority to travel in space can only come from the Creator of the laws which govern movement and space. The whole of this Qur’anic chapter invites humankind to recognize God’s beneficence. 8. BIOLOGY More than anything else, I was struck by statements in the Qur’an dealing with living things, both in the animal and vegetable kingdoms, especially with regard to reproduction. We should really devote much more time to this subject, but, due to the limited scope of this presentation, I can only give a few examples. I must once again stress the fact that it is only in modern times that scientific progress has made the hidden meaning of some Qur’anic verses comprehensible to us. Numerous translations and commentaries on the Qur’an have been made by learned men who had no access to modern scientific knowledge. It is for this reason that scientists find some of their interpretations unacceptable. There are also other verses whose obvious meanings are easily understood, but which conceal scientific meanings which are startling, to say the least. This is the case of a verse in chapter al-Ambiyaa: “Do the unbelievers not realize that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then I clove them asunder and I made every living thing out of water. Will they still not believe?” Qur’an, 21:30 This is a dramatic affirmation of the modern idea that the origin of life is aquatic. 9. Botany Progress in botany at the time of Muhammad (S) was not advanced enough in any country for scientists to know that plants have both male and female parts. Nevertheless, we may read the following in the chapter Taa Haa: “(God is the One who) sent down rain from the sky and with it brought forth a variety of plants in pairs.” Qur’an, 20:53 Today we know that fruit comes from plants that have sexual characteristics even when they come from unfertilized flowers, like bananas. In the chapter ar-Ra‘d we read the following: “... and of all fruits (God) placed (on the earth) two pairs.” Qur’an, 13:3 This is to say the least, there is more. Salaam brothers and sisters. |
visita:Alhamdulillah. Thank you my brother. Truthfully speaking, I have actually thought a lot, and I have to tell you that my thinking only led to my upholding the deen even more. So, my brother, you said you were a Muslim, so, what are you now, Atheist or Christian? |
Musharraf:Ameen. Alhamdulillah. May Allah reward us all, and guide those who sincerely seek the truth to His deen, Islam. |
Haroun13:I know my Atheist brothers and sisters will be wondering why a Muslim would congratulate them on their Atheism. The reason is because it shows you've been thinking. I believe most of my Atheist brothers and sisters were Christians. Now, I believe you are familiar with Genesis. First, the story of Adam and Eve in the garden, then they ate the forbidden fruit, and they became naked. It says "Adam heard the footsteps of God, walking in the garden, in the cool of the day". I ask my self, "footsteps of God"? like King Kong? Then God goes to the place Adam was standing few secs ago, and stops. Then he asks "Adam, Adam, where are thou"? God didn't know where Adam was? or was He playing hide and seek? Adam comes out and says, here I am. Now, my question "DO U BELIEVE IN A GOD LIKE THAT " I believe you don't, and I don't.Further down Genesis, Moses (AS) wanted to see God, so, God says, "you can't see me". In the Qur'an, "Allah says you will never see me". But in the bible, he is insistent, like a spoiled child. So, God puts him between two rocks and puts His hand in the opening, Moses (AS) can't see him, He turns His back and takes off His hand, and Moses (AS) saw the back of God, he saw His backside, because if he saw God's front side, he would have died. My question, "DO U BELIEVE IN A GOD LIKE THAT " I believe you don't, and I don't.Again, do you believe in a God that is born by his creation, Mary (AS), and circumcised on the eighth day DO YOU BELIEVE IN A GOD LIKE THAT I believe you don't, and I don't.The first part of the shahada is "There is no god except Allah". It starts with "There is no god", so, my brothers and sisters, you have taken the first step in seeking truth. May Allah guide us all to the right path. NOTE: This post is not to spite my Christian brothers and sisters, I only seek to reason with everyone. Salaam. |
Omudia11:1. I said you should tell in Jesus' words, not what someone thinks. if you are conversant with the bible, you'll notice that Jesus (pbuh) had so many chances to tell people he was God incarnate, yet he didn't. 2. I believe i also said, rather, typed other things, kindly address them. 3. Concerning the verse, which you said I hate, I don't even have it memorized, I practically had to go and check for it in the bible I have. So, how can you conclude I hate it, when I don't even know it. How can I hate what I don't know. Omudia11:Thank you brother, for this question. First, do you know 113 out of 114 verses of the Qur'an start with "in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful", and the one which doesn't have it is made up for by another, which has two of it? Second, Allah has made us (Muslims) to understand how merciful he is in the Qur'an. Here are some verses; Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." Qur'an 39:53 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again. (The Noble Quran, 38:66) " "If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks God's forgiveness, he will find God Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (The Noble Quran, 4:110) " "When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way. (The Noble Quran, 2:186) " There is a lot more, I hope this is enough proof. Omudia11:What kind of God commits suicide to forgive his creation? That God cannot be supreme, or universal. NOTE: This is not to spite anyone, I'm simply reasoning with you. Well, the God I serve is Universal, and Supreme. He simply wills whatever He wills into existence. From the above verses, it is evident that He forgives among His slaves whomever He wills. |
HenryDion:Depends on what you mean, I'm not at war with anyone, I'm simply reasoning with my brothers and sisters in Christianity. |
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. JideAmuGiaka:1. But Jesus (pbuh) said that he didn't come to abolish the laws or prophets but to fulfill them. 2. Are you saying you don't believe in the old testament? JideAmuGiaka:You shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet, here's why. List of violent christian groups, whose activities the media conceals. 1. Lord’s Resistance Army Active: 1980s-Present, about 30 years Who are they? The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) is a Christian Fundamentalist terrorist group originally from Uganda, but now active in the Sudan, the Central African Republic, and other places. Uganda, you may remember , is a hotbed of Christian Fundamentalism , so it makes sense that a group who calls themselves “Christianist” would come from the country. The LRA surfaced in the popular conscious sometime ago when Joesph Kony suddenly became a meme on the internet ; up to that point, their main claim to fame is child sex slaves and children soldiers. Indeed, the LRA is known to orchestrate kidnappings, railroading young boys into fighting while forcing young girls into sexual slavery . Those who refused to fight were hacked to pieces. The young girls are forced to be “brides” for the soldiers, and thus helping to spread HIV. They’re especially brutal towards civilians, as well, wiping out entire villages and attacking refugee camps. The goal of the LRA is pretty straight froward: they want a Bible-based state that uses the Ten Commandments as guide posts. That’s something any right-wing politician or Christianist can sympathize with, right? 2. National Liberation Front of Tripura Active: 1989 to present, about 30 years Who are they? You’ve probably heard of the Lord’s Resistance Army and the KKK, but this is a group that I’m pretty sure you haven’t, unless you’re from India. It’s easy for us to forget, as Americans, just how big India is; it’s far more diverse than Europe is, culturally speaking, and it’s roughly the same size. It’s called the “world’s largest democracy” for a reason, but as the United States shows, no democracy is without it’s secessionists. And these folks are just some of the many secessionist organizations in India. According to their manifesto, the NLFT wants ” to expand the kingdom of God and Christ in Tripura,” and often does so at the point of a gun. They threatened anyone celebrating the Hindu Festival of Durga Puja with death, and are backed by a Baptist Church that’s selling them arms . They’ve orchestrated at least two massacres, and used rape as a tool of intimidation . While the Nayanbasi faction has been shut down, the Biswamohan faction has promised to fight on . So here we have a Christian terrorist group spreading their faith in India “by sword,” metaphorically, and at the point of a gun more prosaically — small wonder we haven’t heard anything about them in the West, huh? 3. Antibalaka Active: 1990s to present, about 25 years Who are they? Their name means “anti-machete” in the Sango and Mandja languages, and they first formed to defend Christians and Animists who were on the receiving end of politically motivated violence carried out by Muslims. As these things often do, the tables turned, and now the Antibalaka is doing what right-wingers only wish they could do: ethnically cleanse their country of all Muslims. This includes children, who they’ve targeted and murdered in the past. Now, the Antibalaka now stand accused of crimes far worse than anything that Séléka, the Muslim rebel group, are guilty of. Others are; 4. The Christian Identity Movement 5. The Aryan nations 6. The Orange volunteers 7. Catholic Reaction Force/Protestant Action Force. There's more. I didn't post on these groups to tell you that "ALL" Christians are violent, rather I posted them to let you know that there will always be extremist, and you don't judge a whole Nation, or people by the actions of a few. Like my Muslim brother rightly said, Islam condemns violence, and unjust killing. Salaam. |
" I believe you don't, and I don't.
