FamilyRe: Am I Cursed?i Never Get A Call Back After Impressing At Job Interviews by hasyak(m): 8:45pm On Sep 30, 2020
HUSTLER001:
Hello family,i've been an adhent follower of this platform for sometime now and i have come to realize that there are quite a large number of intelligent folks here. Therefore i bring a very important issue that have been bothering me and perharps, the recent turn out of a particular event just aggravated the devil in me.Now to my ordeal. I finished my NYSC in 2013 and since then,i have had the opportunity of attending several interviews in need of a job.In many of those interviews,i recieved a lot of praises from the interviewers and sometimes,a resounding clap but in the end,i do not get a call back. Not once nor twice but several times. The one that finally made me convinced that this isn't ordinary was a recent interview i just attended.I recieved so much appraisals and all the interviewers nodded in affirmation.Do you belief that in the end,i wasn't called but a friend i carried along(we gate crashed though) got a call up and here i am thinking about how i always "wow" the interviwers but ill luck sets in afterward.Could anything be wrong with me?pls, help because i'm getting depressed.
Nothing is absolutely wrong with you, had similar experiences. From the other side, when you attend interviews, in many cases it's not only about your performance that counts. They tend to look into your personality, which may not be in your favour. Like in my case with hindsight, i was very ambitious and many will read that this guy is only looking for a stepping stone, he will not stay for long.

My advice is that you look for something to start doing, when people see your productivity, they will invite you to join them, that's exactly what happens to moi..

PoliticsHow Soludo Wanted To Save The Naira, But They Couldn't Understand It Then? by hasyak(op): 8:36pm On Sep 12, 2020
"The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday announced plans for the revaluation and realignment of the naira to make it competitive with the United States (US.) dollar. Under the new plan, announced by the CBN governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo in Abuja, the naira is to be realigned to the Pre- Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) regime of 1986 where it was at par with the US. dollar. Consequently, the existing N1000; N500; N200; N100 will revert to N10; N5; N2 and N1 respectively while a higher note of N20 denomination is to be introduced. Also, the current N5 note is to revert to 50 kobo while coins are to be re-introduced ranging from one kobo; two kobo; five kobo ; 10 kobo to 20 kobo. The new plan which will come into full force from the of August 1 next year, is to form the basis of wages; naira assets; prices and contract regimes in Nigeria"

If this was allowed to be implemented then, we will not be having the fx wahala we are having now?

A week or so after our visit to my wife family, I went to a neighboring town for business on behalf of dad.

While I was at merchant shop negotiating, I heard a voice that I knew can only be hers asking for the merchant, then I turned to see her for the second time, the moment our eyes lock again. I didn't know how the words came out of my mouth, i said my wife how are you doing today?

She smiled and said my husband am doing great laughing, and added what happen, we didn't see you again. I told her I have been very busy but actually thinking of coming to see her by the weekend. Surprisedly, we spoke as if we have been on talking terms for long, I found it very natural to talk with her, even though we have different perceptions.

We spoke for over an hour, asking questions about each life, family, business and current affairs. When it time for her to leave I promised to check her by the weekend.

From that moment I knew I have to marry her, because I now appreciate her more because of her way of thinking and views to life from my little interaction with her.

When I got back home, I went straight to my father and I told him of my meeting with her, and also told him how I find her very interesting. My dad smiled and said but I told you...

A day to my visit, I went and met my mum and told tomorrow am going to see Asabe tomorrow, what do you think I get for her? She smiled and said son you know that family can't be impressed with material things, so I will suggest you just get her something personal, I have ring your Dad gave me when he proposed, I will give you that to give to her. But mum am just meeting her for the third time and you want me to propose? Boy since you met this girl you haven't been yourself. So why waste time, go ahead and give her if she reject it then you know where you stand.

That night I couldn't sleep, trying to figure out how I want our conversation to go, practicing how I hope to propose.

By morning I felt so strong even without good sleep, got ready, went and greet my parent and told them am going to see my wife and hopefully propose. They wished me good luck and prayed for the best for me.

I arrived their house around 11am, saw a little boy playing outside, told him to please call Asabe for me. He just stood there and shout her name that someone is here to see her. I felt awkward, why most he announce to the whole house that am around.

Few moments later she came out and greeted me and invited me in. I suggested we sit outside but she insisted we go inside. Inside the house was big, simple and classy. We sat at corner in the parlor, where 2 seat facing each and a little stool between. For a moment we just sat looking at each other, all what I have cram faded and was tongue tied. Then she broke the ice by saying how was my trip?

Esseite:
Our politics is too expensive to get the right kind of leaders in, and the Nation has grown poorer to even enable that in the closest future..

Solution:
Enact into the constitution a point based election system, the higher a voters educational level, the higher your number of vote alongside the zoning dichotomy between the North and South still in place.

Primary school cert and below - 1 vote.
Secondary School cert - 2 votes.
Graduate - 3 votes.

Benefits:
- You encourage education 100%, which brings about innovations, ideas and problem solving..
- The chances of the right candidate increases at a very high percentage.
- You encourage birth control on quality not quantity..
- You give more voting power to the educated..
- You discourage vote buying aswell..
- The politicians would begin to seek integrity over popularity..
- the purpose of populating to win elections would be gone which adversely affects the Nation.
- 4 graduate votes would equal 12 primary school cert holder votes.

We really need to start thinking outside the box

On our way home, father asked me, so what do you think about her? I really didn't know what to say, she seems to be out of my league and the behaviour of the father wasn't encouraging. I told my father I don't think the father will agree, from the way he behaved i guess we should just forget about it.

My son don't you ever give up on what you truly believe you deserve, don't worry about the father opinion, if you like her just go ahead and talk to her, didn't you noticed the way she looked at you? And said you can if want to see her again. I said dad she only said that because she wants to be diplomatic in our presence. The way she looked at me I could feel her eyes searching for my soul, at a stage I almost told why are you looking at me like this? My father laughed out loud and said you still don't understand women, I know that girl, if she wasn't interested in you, she would have said it clearly, didn't you noticed her father reaction when she said you can come and visit her? I said I didn't because she locked my eyes throughout our brief encounter.

We finally got home, to my great surprise my mum called me and asked how was our encounter with Ladi (that's her name) and I narrated all that transpired, then she asked what do you think of her? I said I just saw her for the first time and we didn't even exchange any word so how can I make a decision about her? Mum said I know, I want to know your perception about her from your mind. I thought for a while, then said honesty, initially because of the way the father was behaving I almost lost interest, but when she spoke, her voice was something else, and the way she looked at me, no one has ever looked at me that way. She definitely not the most beautiful girl I have seen, but something is telling me she's the one.

From that moment on I can't just get her face out of my head, and i looked forward to seeing and hearing her voice again...
FamilyRe: Dis My 3 Boys No Go Kill Moi? by hasyak(op):
A little background on our families, while I am from a predominantly Muslim community who are majorly into farming and trading. My father happens to be one of richest person in town due to his trading activities beyond our communities.

On one of our journeys with him to a neighbouring community, he suggested we stop by and see one of his business associates, whom happened to be my wife father. My wife community happens to be majority Christians and my wife father is not only one of the richest person but also a community leader.

When we got their house my father shouted where is this my boy, come out and greet your oga, and her father replied I have always told you, you don't have home training and both bursted out laughing giving jibes to each other. My father then told him we are actually on our home but just stopped by to greet him and show his son the wife he told him about, yes my father has told me about a friend's daughter he will like me to marry but never told me that's where are heading to.

The father looked at me and asked is he your son? Which father answered yes, then he continued by saying but I have told you your son can't marry my daughter because we don't worship the same God. My father now said I know we worship the same God though differently that shouldn't stop our kids from marrying. Let give them the choice to chose whom they want to marry. All I asked of you is to allow my son present himself. At this point i was beginning to get agitated and angry, me that am a local champion in my community, that all I need do is just point to any girl and that's all. Her father looked at me again, am sorry I don't think my daughter will be interested in your son. My dad replied I will be ok if I hear that from her, let her say it.

The father now send for the daughter since my dad insisted, I almost told my dad to forget it that am not interested too, but due to respect I kept quiet, but quite angry inside. Immediately she came in, she greeted my dad and my dad told her this is my son your husband i have been telling you about. Initially i didn't want to look at her, but for the voice i had to look up to be sure where this beautiful voice is coming from, our eyes lock on each other's, was waiting for her to look else where but she refused and looked directly into my eyes, don't know for how long then I heard her dad asked her do you want him to come back? She looked deeply into me and kept quiet. The father then repeated the question again and added we need to know now so that we don't waste people time, still looking into my eyes, she said if he wants..
FamilyDis My 3 Boys No Go Kill Moi? by hasyak(op):
I'm a father of 3 guys all from the same from the same mother but totally different in attitude, looks, reasoning, likes and dislikes.

When I had my first son, my wife and I celebrated to the high heaven that our prayers has been answered. Because conceiving was a challenge to us. We had our son almost 30 years into marriage, which was an period of mutual respect, fights, love and understanding between my wife and I.

Being an African Muslim with a Christian wife, in the early 30s, both from a big family. The pressure was so tense that in fact wifey had to go not of our liking, but, for pressure from both families that the other partner was the problem.

The level of enlightenment then was low, and no good medical know how to diagnose the problem. But both families has been told by their Almighty God that the other was the problem, this brought out lots of mistrust, lies, supporters and haters from both families.

Now her family have given her ultimatum, to leave this useless man that cant even impregnate a damsel like you, only God's know what you see him that you're still there wasting your life.

About 28 years into our marriage, one lovely Friday evening at about 10pm while seating in the courtyard thinking about my life, I should be in my early 50s or late 40s then. Wondering what have i done to deserve this in my life?

A day before my wife would leave, I said, God I have tried my best for you, I have helped many, I have worship You to the best of my abilities, I know am not perfect, but I don't deserve this. Yes I live a comfortable life, but I have no heirs. My wive is a good woman, even if it's not for my sake, she deserve your consideration. She is going through a lot, she has served You to the best of her abilities. I can see the worries, fear, changes in her, and the pressure she is going through from both families. She is in a dilemma, she knows not where to go.

My wife came out of the house to seat by my side and said Dee (that's what she calls me), I came out here to discuss this matter for the last time, I know you know what am talking about, and I asked her gently, is it about the ultimatum from your family? She said yes, then I said if its about the ultimatum, any decision she takes, am ok with it, maybe we should try other options. Left to us, I know we can manage the situation, but families have gone too far on each other, so just do what you think is best for you.

Dee you know everything, we've discussed this matter severely, we've both received many threats, insults and you know now, they are saying your mun killed my mum because of the last threat she gave her when my mum insulted you. I think it's best I leave so that both families will have peace. I totally agreed with her, and supported her decision. Since you've finally made up your mind, I suggested we discuss on how to move on with life.

We discuss on how we should try and cope in the absence of each other, she offered she will still be sending me food and stocking my house and if I should need anything, I should just send for her, and jokely added, till they find that woman they promised you that is touch and gooo.....

On all grounds and from every perception...you were wrong!
1)You went overboard in teaching outside the syllabus (although slightly) on a topic that is both socio-culturally and constitutionally illegal in Nigeria.

2) You raped the minds of those kid by exposing them to dark knowledge that they should never have been exposed to at this stage of their lifes. kids always want to try and experiment on new things, they are easily swayed by new concepts and ideologies (its like teaching them about abortion and its benefits or teaching a primary 6 pupil the uses of a condom and how to get one) they are too young and will most likely abuse such information.

3) it's not about religion or region, any responsible parent will be concerned that their young kids are being exposed to such sensitive topics as same sex marriage at a tender and fragile age, it's only important(if necessary) for them to know these things at the senior secondary levels or within the concrete walls of a higher institution.

Lastly, Am Igbo and a Christian, born and breed in Zaria...i will not tolerate such from any teacher myself because this is what has plunged the western world into identity crisis! You find a man telling you he thinks he ought to have been a woman or how his sex organs do not define his sexuality. It all starts from an early intimacy with these dark and absurd ideologies...and in no distant time their minds become impregnated with strange foreign vices! It's awkward and against all our religious and cultural norms and values.

Well, Am running a masters degree in ABU too, zaria is not as extremist as you are painting it. Hit me up, maybe I will show you around, and wash away your zunubi' with a few holy bottles grin grin

Nigeria: Cry my beloved country!

THE NATION

These are the worst of times for Nigeria. Nigerians are being arrested in Los Angeles and New Jersey, United States for advanced fees fraud, impersonation and credit card fraud and for what is now generally called “Nigerian scams”. When other people commit these crimes, they are charged for committing “Nigerian scam”. We have now gone into legal history as giving name to a particular kind of crime. Tens of our people are being beheaded in Saudi Arabia for drugs peddling. The American FBI is looking for almost a hundred Nigerians for fraud. One of our country men even appeared on an ABC television network confessing his crimes and tearfully telling Americans how to identify “Nigerian scams”. Tens of our nationals are awaiting executions in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam. Some are in Laos and Cambodia for one crime or the other deserving capital punishment. What the hell for goodness sake are Nigerians doing in Laos and Cambodia? I mean it’s a long way to Tipperary! Other Nigerians are being killed in South Africa for drugs peddling. Chinese and Russian jails are also full of them for one infraction or the other of their laws. Some years ago, they were brawling on the streets of a Chinese town until they were beaten to surrender by some burley Chinese constabulary.

It seems wherever they go, they are followed by their criminal reputation. Genuine business people cannot transact business without being suspected of fraud. When our people particularly the young people have successfully conned an unsuspecting victim, they spend the money on frivolities like huge marriage celebrations, cars, hotels and on hedonistic life styles and prostitution. They even not only spray our national currency which they march under their feet, they also spray dollars, euros and pounds sterling. And for these they are prepared to ruin themselves and ruin the image of our country and even to commit hara kiri because anybody caught with hard drugs in most parts of Asia and the Middle East is likely to be sentenced to death. Yet with wide opened eyes our people go to these places hoping they will not be caught. Our greed is what is killing our young people. There is of course unemployment at home but the fact is that many of our young people are not ready to do the work that is available. They go to universities to avoid hard work or not to work at all. Even those who have jobs want to make it big by illegal and criminal ways. Why will a bank manager for example, resign his job to emigrate abroad where there is no certainty of a job but to join criminal gangs to defraud the system of the country he or she is going to? There is no Eldorado anywhere. There is no crown without thorns! This is the truth. A man who is a bank manager resigns and goes abroad only to wash dead bodies in the mortuary! Our young people must be realistic. I once participated in an interview panel for young recruits into an industry. When a young girl was asked what her goal in life was, she retorted that she wanted to “live large”. I had never heard the expression before. She was thanked for coming and asked to go and live large. I hope she has learned a lesson and would moderate her life expectations.

Young people tend to blame us the older generation for having spoiled the country for them by our criminal indulgence in corruption, squander mania, mismanagement, lack of focus general insecurity and planlessness. I plead guilty to all these charges of generational crimes. But I must say that this country has produced in the past world class scholars, international civil servants and administrators, jurists and distinguished medical scientists. Where we have failed is getting the right kind of political leadership and right helmsman at the critical juncture of national development. We were never able to find a leader who could cut through the miasma of tribal divisions and antagonism and chart a brilliant course of national integration for all round development. Poverty knows no tribe and prosperity also knows no tribe. Americans always say their favourite colour is green that’s the colour of the dollar. If Nigeria was prosperous, who will care what tribe the man at the top of government belongs to? I feel really ashamed that I am a citizen of a country that earned almost a trillion dollars from oil and gas over the years and we have nothing to show for it. No light. No potable water. No motor-able roads. Hospitals are “mere consulting clinics “No schools and 30 percent of school aged children are roaming about the streets as almajiris and hawkers of all kinds of goods. We do not have comfortable means of transportation or communication. All the appurtenances of modern civilization are missing. Some of our leaders troop to England, Dubai and Abu Dhabi to invest stolen money .We build mansions that become useless even while we are alive and in any case our children will not be able to maintain them when we are gone and if they want to sell them there will be no buyers because they will be old fashioned by then. What we have built will become useless at the end and all we have accumulated primitively will become a manifestation of vanity.

Vanity upon vanity is all vanity, said king Solomon in his Ecclesiastical discourses.

If my generation has failed the country and our greedy youth has ruined the image of the country that the older generation built, shouldn’t we all start all over again and make hay while the sun still shines? Or are we going to throw up our hands and wait for Armageddon or the inevitable revolution?

The signs of revolution are all over the place, we can no longer move from one city to another without the fear of being kidnapped. We can’t sleep with our two eyes closed. I arrived last week from London and my luggage was instantly stolen. Foreign investors except for intrepid Chinese and Indians, who are ripping us off, have stopped coming to our country. We must do something to rescue this land of our forefathers. It seems to me that we must prepare the next generation by teaching them how to behave right from home to primary and secondary schools. Cheating at entrance examinations must be severely punished. Parents indulging in it must be publicly disgraced. We also must try and begin a campaign of moral rearmament and ethical revolution in our regular civic and religious lives. The church and the mosque must be engaged and charlatans masquerading as men of God must be forced out of their disguise. The government must mobilize the country for development. All young people roaming about the cities must be taken away to state farms and agricultural settlements to be built by all state governments. Annual budgets without any appreciable change in our lives must give way to physical changes. This country needs to be transformed like China was after 1949 and even Vietnam in recent times. Within living memory, we have seen the transformation of Malaysia and Singapore with which we shared common colonial history. There is presumably nothing wrong with us as a race. We just must get out of this rot. We cannot continue like this.

The reason why our young people have taken to crime both at home and abroad is that they think crimes pay. This is why we must approach punishment after crimes with full speed of the law. Punishment must be sure and swift whether crimes committed by herders, kidnappers, armed robbers, economic criminals and economic saboteurs damaging gas and petroleum pipelines. The spate of crimes committed at home and abroad indicates that our chickens have come home to roost and our cup is full. We must face our responsibility and take whatever measure that is necessary to stamp out all these criminal tendencies of our people. No one is born a criminal it is our degraded society that has made us criminals. We must therefore purify this evil society. Our legal system that allows criminals to exploit legal technicalities to avoid judgement and justice is not a worthy and worthwhile legal system. It must be thrown away. Recently a British court fined us $9.6 billion to be paid to so-called Irish investors who never dug the foundation of their so-called gas liquefaction complex in Calabar and then turns up to say because Nigeria failed to deliver gas to a non-existent gas factory, it lost imaginary profits for 20 years. The deal ab initio was a product of Nigerian corruption and lack of patriotism and coordination.

But what is most galling is that a Nigerian lawyer sat on the panel of arbitrators. What kind of legal system would condone this kind of fraud? We need whole sale judicial review in this country and Nigerian lawyers need to be more patriotic and less corrupt. Money is not everything. We brought nothing to this world and we shall not take anything with us when we depart it.

Our cup is indeed full and we must change the course of our journey as a nation so that we don’t hit the rocks of the inevitable cascade into an abyss of no return.

The recent situation of our much abused and despised people in South Africa, even though the involvement of many of them in drug dealing , prostitution and gang violence in which Nigerians are killing Nigerians in a foreign country, calls for close scrutiny of the kind of Nigerian migrants invading other people’s homelands. We must be frank with ourselves. I don’t like hearing we helped to end apartheid in South Africa. So what? Does that give us the right to invade another country with drugs? Our support for liberation of Southern Africa was based on enlightened self-interest of wanting to wipe out the blemish on and the humiliation of all black people on account of their colour which was what apartheid represented. Helping people in Southern Africa, in which I was personally involved, amounted to a second liberation of Nigeria from racism. There are Nigerian doctors, lawyers, professors, engineers and others making useful contributions in South Africa and they are not being molested. We must bring home our flotsam and jetsam and other deplorables ruining our image in South Africa. Must everybody be a trader? Enough is enough. Our humiliation in South Africa is part of the failure of our governments over the years that earned money and failed to industrialize the country and provide jobs for its teeming population. Enough of this voluntary second slave trade. We need introspection and soul searching to find solutions to what is wrong with Nigeria.

PoliticsDon't Argue With Them... by hasyak(op): 10:04pm On Nov 19, 2018
*Why you should not waste time discussing national issues with some certain Nigerians*

1. They are the ones that said Buhari died in Aso rock, and later in UK. Then they said the Buhari that returned to Nigeria is a clone (duplicate) and recently they said it is Buhari body double. Do you still take cognizance of what comes out of these peoples mouth?

2. They were the ones who said 8 years was not enough for OBJ, and 6 not enough for GEJ, etc. Now, they don't want 8 years of Buhari because of personal hatred

3. When you remind them of how corruption in last government has ruined the nation....they ask you to stop talking about the past

4. When you say Buhari is a man of integrity and he his fighting corruption, they say his son has a power bike

5. When Evans the kidnapper say something against Buhari, he becomes an hero. When you say their heroes and spokespersons lack integrity (IBB, OBJ, Fayose, FFK, Saraki, GEJ, etc), they will say "...look at the message not the messenger..."

6. They are not interested in any development in Nigeria, if it means ascribing any success to PMB.

7. Every good news of the nation brings them sadness, and they remain quiet until another bad news crops up

8. If you tell them Buhari is building over 300 roads all over Nigeria, they say it is because of 2019

9. Tell them Buhari is developing the rail system all over Nigeria, they say it is not his initiative, that Obasanjo and GEJ had plans to do it

10. Inform them about the agricultural revolution, how Nigeria now produces its local food and has become a foremost world exporter of food, they say it is Obasanjo that started Operation Feed the Nation in the 1970s

11. When you say Buhari is working to completing abandoned projects, over 8000 nationwide (Mambila hydro power, Ajaokuta Steel Plant etc), they say it is because he has no program of his own

12. Refute their allegations that Buhari is tribalistic with how his ministerial cabinets now (and as military head of state) had more Christians than Muslims, and how powerful ministries were being run by southerners, they hold their breath and in the next statement still repeat the same allegation

13. They say Buhari is vindictive, but no state or region has been denied their share of development projects irrespective of whether they support PMB government or not (compared with Obasanjo that withheld Lagos State allocation for many years and Jonathan that cut Osun State allocation for 4 years to punish Aregbesola for making sure Jonathan lost the 2011 election in Osun State even though he won in other Yoruba states). He has taken N13b water project to Otuoke in GEJs village Bayelsa, N22b road to Atiku's village in Adamawa, reconstruction of Lagos Abeokuta expressway to OBJ's Ogun State, the 2nd Niger Bridge, etc to the east, the massive investment and redevelopment of the Niger-Delta, etc are part of the proof of PMBs fairness to all

14. When the clampdown on corruption started, they said only southerners are being harassed, when Dasuki etc were arrested they say it is only PDP; when Saraki was taken to court they say it is because he is in opposition; when former governors and APC members were jailed (Dariye and Nyame ), they say it was PDP that started the probe. So, you see that discussing with them is a waste of time

15. When EFCC is investigating the massive investments and dollars accounts of Mrs Patience Jonathan, Alison Maduekwe, etc, they say it is political harassment and you should bring proof of corruption. But when they bring scandalously stupid allegations like Buhari has bought the national stadium, etc and you ask for proof, they say you are a fanatic

16. Tell them how the threats of IPOB, Niger Delta militants, etc were curtailed, they say it is a clampdown on Igbos and southerners; remind them of how the menace of El Zakzaki and his Shiites group of the north have been curbed, they say it is coercion

17. Remind them how the dreaded Boko Haram has been chased away from the northeast states that they used to control in the north and how normalcy is returning to those parts of the country, they will still refer to the occasional suicide bombings as proof that nothing is achieved

18. Tell them how it has been impossible for even USA etc to totally stop suicide bombings, they retort "...Are you now comparing Nigeria with USA" (Of course not, USA does not have a particular group of people that does not want to see anything good in northern Nigerians as citizens)

19. Tell them how herdsmen killings preceded PMB, and how many non-Fulani herdsmen have been arrested by the army for killings, including a personal aide to Governor Ortom, and how since such arrests, the killings have subsided, they still in the next statement refer to Buhari as promoting herdsmen killers

20. Tell them about the resuscitation of the Mambila Power Project, the Ajaokuta Steel Project, etc, they say it is a lie

21. Show them videos and pictures of ongoing development nationwide, they say its photo and video shop

22. Tell them how Buhari stopped the billion-dollar fertiliser scam and how in its place 11 local fertiliser companies were revived resulting in Nigeria producing for its local needs, they say "...how does that translate to food for the common man?..."

23. When Buhari agreed to pay N88billion compensation to Biafrans victims, granted autonomy to state judiciary, supports local government autonomy, recognised MKO and June 12, they say it is politics. (And like the daughter of our hero of democracy said, "...if Buhari does not play politics, should he play chemistry?..."

24. To them, the National Assembly members used to be all APC rogues, but now without doing any good thing but because they now oppose PMB, they have become their heroes, from the clown Dino, to the Michael Jackson of Osun, the stupendously corrupt and wealthy Saraki, Mark, Dogara, etc

25. Buhari has refused like previous governments to bribe legislators to do their duties, and since their dirty strategies is no longer working, they have become a stumbling block to progress. The wailers will say if it was OBJ, he would have dealt with them but if Buhari had used any other means, they will say he is undemocratic

26. When you show some of them the unparalleled efforts of this government in development compared to all the past governments, then you will hear "...Well, he has tried but I still don't like him, he is too old, he is slow, he is unintelligent, he is not outspoken etc..."

*These are the reasons why nothing tangible will be achieved if you engage them in any developmental discussion*, because of their innate hatred of anybody from northern Nigeria.

Avoid discussion of national issues with them. Instead, discuss things like Big Brother Nigeria, Russia World Cup, Dangote's daughter's wedding, and Papa Ajasco, etc with them

Aderewah:
The postulating have started. We only will vote Atiku, not because of tribal reasons or religious reasons, but because we can show the ruling political class that we have the power to change them. Buhari has shown no true commitment to practically take this country on the path it needs to be on. That's why we rejected Jonathan. It's why we reject Buhari. If Atiku doesn't did the needful, we will reject him after 4 years.

PoliticsRe: After Meeting With Buhari Tinubu Insist On Sanwo-olu by hasyak(m): 8:49am On Oct 02, 2018
ReachHard:
My personal pre-analysis on possible outcomes from the Lagos primaries, on both sides:
IF AMBODE WINS...
1. There might be high political instability within the State, going by the foreclosed wishes of the kingmakers;
2. His victory may as well go down as one of the biggest political upsets EVER witnessed in recent democratic history;
3. You can be rest assured that Tinubu (and his cohorts) will certainly not go down without a fight. The last thing on his mind, will be to dump the party he almost single-handedly constituted. So, be prepared for heavy political fireworks if Ambode's victory becomes the story.
4. Ambode will spend the remaining four years of his tenure like a 'political orphan.' Only close aides, associates, faithful followers etc will tag along with him all the way... except, of course, he goes back to "appease the gods" (which is not something really unusual these days)
5. Lastly, of course, except his challenger (Sanwoolu) gracefully accepts defeat and throws in the towel, expect huge legal fireworks thereafter. Politicians love visiting courtrooms, don't they?
IF SANWOOLU WINS...
1. Just as in Ambode's victory situation, there's also a huge possibility of a breakdown of law and order. It might interest you to know that, despite the massive endorsements Sanwoolu may have received, Ambode himself equally has a great deal of followership across the state. And these ones too will raise a lot of eyebrows and may likely cause mayhem if things don't go their way. The security agencies will definitely have their jobs well cut out!
2. Tinubu will only further cement his status as the self-proclaimed "godfather" of Lagos politics, nay, the "Jagaban" of Africa. His praise will ring even louder amongst his core loyalists, home and abroad.
And he, of course, will feel satisfied and vindicated.
3. A possibility of a massive exodus from the party is still up in the air. Except Ambode himself makes his move, that is, if he feels dissatisfied with the result. If he chooses to stay with the party, then his followers themselves will stay put, and perhaps, let the sleeping dogs lie. They will love him too much to upset the apple cart against his directives. Recall also that during the world press conference by Ambode, he declared he's ready to work with the progressives, regardless of the outcome. Even though we hardly trust politicians by their words, it is believed he spoke his mind.
4. Their party may lose more national votes for the forthcoming general elections, it will take more efforts at unification and fence-mending after all is won and lost at this event, to prevent that from happening. And this is one reason why you find the National Headquarters of the party serially postponing the d-day, they are fully aware what is at stake here, both for themselves, and their party's fortunes as a whole.
5. The party stands a 60-40 chance (if not less) of winning the gubernatorial elections, that is, if the main opposition party fully gets itself prepared for the challenge and presents a formidable opponent. Jimi Agbaje might still have that clout, any other candidate (for now) might just be a straight walk to Alausa for Sanwoolu.
Fingers crossed.

I have said it before that he is one that can defeat Buhari

The sad thing is he won't run and no will convince him to.
If we come together and say Nigerians Earnestly Ask for Dangote to come and rescue the country he will come but we need to be serious...
