Very funny.

If we put facts into consideration, Salah should get into the World class list ahead of Jay-Jay Okocha.
It is facts talking, and not emotions.

Let be realistic. Investing in 9ja is a major mistake unless you are on ground to do it yourself. People warned me years back, I didn't listen.

Done that, seen it. People managing it will ruin you. RUIN as in capital. Biggest regret.

My cousin got her own share if it 3 years back despite my warning to her. No house to see when she arrived home. House being built and pics sent were fake. Adjusting for recent inflation and currency devaluation, total sum should be abo nowut 65 to 70m Naira.

Simple advice to her: Forget the money and get your ass back abroad before they kpai you. Leave as soon as Covid-19 lockdown allows you.

Investment in shares? Same story. Fake land, etc.

If you saved 10m Naira in 9ia or invested in shares in 2014, how much is it worth today?

If you built a small hotel in 9ja, how much return will you get as ROI? Well I know many who have since sold up due to family eating all the proceeds. Decades of experience here.
9ja is a sink hole for your funds.

In any case, forget about returning to 9ia for retirement. To darkness, bandits, kidnappers, poor health care and bad roads?

Diaspora people should wake up. The community spirit and loving parents you grew up with are either already gone or will soon go totally. Nothing left. You are a grown ass adult now that only your nuclear family wherever you live care about. Nobody else.
Even the houses you built, some relatives are ready to drag it with your abroad based kids and wife if God forbid anything happens to you today. With juju and any other means.

Keep your money/investment for YOUR CHILDREN. Not in 9ja.

Do charity as the spirit leads you, but expect nothing.
Damn, bro...
What exactly did people in Nigeria do to you that is making you commit this fallacy of hasty generalisation?
Haba!

Omo, dem bleed you ooo.

When I first saw this, I was surprised and worried at the same time.
Is it a good gesture? Of course, it is.
But look at the country at the moment.
Other sport sectors don't even get such financial gestures like this.
Is it because we all like football?

Or perhaps, the funds is not going to players alone but the Supporters Club and other crew people?

Be that as it may, I'm happy to see that a larger percentage of the comments are lamenting exactly what I had in mind.

I know some people would be wondering how come.

Considering, the tertiary institution some of us went to, without your school fees complete, you won't even be allowed to register a course.
Hell, if you were in 100L or final year, you won't even be able to apply for a hostel without your school fees being fully paid and confirmed.

But here we are in 2024, some schools allow people to even go as far as sit in halls for exams, and then remember it's the best time to chase students away.
MBA naaw.

It's the same thing we noticed back then in some schools, where students are allowed to get admitted with incomplete results - whereby they write undertaking that they'll produce the result before they graduate.

As much as I love Osimhen and I believe he's a good player now doubt. But I still don't get the hype TBH.

To me ,he hasn't been on par with previous Africa's best. The likes of Salah, Mane and Yaya... He maybe he's the best the continent has to offer for now (based on his Napoli form) but they should just tone down on the hype. Even his performance so far at this AFCON is pretty poor if we are being honest with ourselves.

Can't wait to see you at Chelsea next season (with a new coach )
His major problem is his finishing. It's not his strongest.

But the movement, runs, etc., is world class.
Although not all clubs will need such, but I guess it suits for the club he plays for... And Nigeria as a country. Considering the supply is not that great.

They will tell us with confidence that we don’t have players worthy of first team action in the entire Hale End!
Like I'd said before, if Oscar Bob has ability, it's easier for his game to develop better and more grounded than that of Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Nelson, and even Odegaard, in the long run.

Why?
Healthy system, strong models to learn and model from, and Players that have been there and done that. Not once or twice, but severally.

And this is exactly what our team lacks.

An easy way to identify them is that they are one touch ballers in contrast to ball carriers. Lampard, Fabregas, Muller, Nzaghi, Crespo, Trezeguet etc. These days they are hard to find among popular players
I couldn't help but mention how Inzaghi, Muller, Crespo and David Trezeguet are mentioned in the same sentence with Fabregas and Lampard.

KDB's up-through ball to Oscar Bob is one of the things we lack in our team. And it's exactly what Odegaard should be doing but likes to stay close to Saka. Like I'd said before, he's our chief influcner in the game, but his influencing is not just enough.
Unfortunately again, Rice lacks those abilities.
That's why I laugh when people talk about that Everton guy.
I'm like, we're looking for players that can take us from point A to B and we're talking about him? Wtf?!

Commentator called it "HallMark of Champions."
At the end of the game, Jon Champion also said, "And the headline of this thrilling game is that Kevin DeBruyne is back."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8M1RD6MWZQ
Actually, the knocking of the ball and all, is obtainable in all teams. Ours (naija) might even be superior.
You just need to watch the training and see.
Even poor footballing countries like Samoa, Fiji, Cape Verde, etc., will do same.
When matchday comes, it falls apart.
It then turns from ball-to-ground passes, to absolute hoof-volleyball display.

And just so you know, those on clean cuts are those that keep it naturally in their respective clubs. Like Pépé, Aurier, Boly, etc.
If you watched the video till the end, you'll see that not all kept clean cuts.
And it's so everywhere.

I'll recommend you watch more football to broaden your horizon.

A striker incoming will automatically help our goals and forward rotations. Jesus doesn't need to be benched. He can play either wings and work well with the actual 9 like Laca and Auba did seasons ago.

One funny thing is Laca made that central attack region from centre circle to pk spot, his own. Since he left, dominating that exact region left with him.🤣

If we can get a goal scorer ONLY, the attacking wahala will reduce from a 88 to a 39. We will just need to change transition style and if it works, it becomes the tweak of the season. Infact a fit Partey and a 9 will be enough goal threat combo from long balls. I really hope we beat this ffp limit. I hate the timing. But Kai arrival was part.

As for Rams, he's still himself. I like that so much. Nelson no just get sense that night.
Without a strong Odegaard backup, we'll be in 55.

He's the key to everything. But he doesn't have the grit to do the job when the heat comes.

Yes. The Americans generally pave the sides of roads with cement for the same reason of neatness and reducing sand buildup from the sides. Something Nigeria in shortcut mode does not. Soludo is doing well with selecting areas of the town to pave such as major roads and the Executive Business District.

They should also adopt another American town planning concept called ZONING. Move things to where they are supposed to be. Remove all inter and intra state buses from Unizik junction and Zik Avenue into an Awka Central Bus Station. Create a Central Bus Station in Onitsha and Ekwulobia. Separate traditional informal markets from the center of the town to the edge like Eke Awka and Ochanja and Relief. Let the downtown evolve modern retail undisturbed by primitive trading.
Bull's eye!
This paving of the sides is what I think many road constructors don't take into consideration.
They just do the roads and that's it.

I first noticed it in the roads Ngige did in towns, which helped prevent dust a great deal.
We see a lot of it in Lagos too.

Aje!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been hesitant in engaging your mentions and it is intentional because I am careful of who I engage but everything you have said here is everything I have been saying for over 2 years!

The Timber statement crowned it for me because I said the exact same thing! He should have been slowly integrated into the team with a more definitive role. He was coming from a league where the style and pace was different. Havertz should have also had a slower transition. For the life of me, I can’t understand why we went for him, worsestill, for that amount.

I said it here, Arteta contributes to the injuries that plague this team. From his training, to squad rotation to on field usage. I don’t trust him with anymore investments to be honest.
I don't trust him too.
To think I even forgot to mention Havertz is an embarrassment on my person.
I doubt there was a sit-down plan to buy Havertz.
It is as if to say he noticed Havertz was not wanted, and then rushed to get him.
Chelsea will be laughing at us now for throwing such an amount away.
The dude plays like he's tired of the sport.

I was making a personal analysis on Saka this morning and I said to myself that as compared to other better players that have played for Arsenal before them, the only Grace he has durability.
To play close to 240 matches and has never been out for as much as 3 weeks is testament to his durability. We can add Odegaard & Martinelli too.
Odegaard - 130+ matches.
Martinelli - 150+ matches.
In a long time, they're the luckiest first team Arsenal midfield/attacking players we've had.

Not even Wilshere, The Ox, Walcott, Ramsey, and RVP were this lucky.

An unfortunate case in point to that durability problem is Smith-Rowe.
I mean, as it stands, can the nigga even play 10 straight matches in a row without having one issue or another? OMG!
