Sports / Re: Salah Is Not World Class – Aiyegbeni Names Six Best African Players by Hausa(m): 2:52pm On Feb 26 |
Very funny. If we put facts into consideration, Salah should get into the World class list ahead of Jay-Jay Okocha. It is facts talking, and not emotions. 1 Like |

When I first saw this, I was surprised and worried at the same time. Is it a good gesture? Of course, it is. But look at the country at the moment. Other sport sectors don't even get such financial gestures like this. Is it because we all like football? Or perhaps, the funds is not going to players alone but the Supporters Club and other crew people? Be that as it may, I'm happy to see that a larger percentage of the comments are lamenting exactly what I had in mind. |
Education / Re: Massive Protests At Michael Okpara University, Umudike by Hausa(m): 7:46pm On Feb 06 |
I know some people would be wondering how come. Considering, the tertiary institution some of us went to, without your school fees complete, you won't even be allowed to register a course. Hell, if you were in 100L or final year, you won't even be able to apply for a hostel without your school fees being fully paid and confirmed. But here we are in 2024, some schools allow people to even go as far as sit in halls for exams, and then remember it's the best time to chase students away. MBA naaw. It's the same thing we noticed back then in some schools, where students are allowed to get admitted with incomplete results - whereby they write undertaking that they'll produce the result before they graduate. Omo... Things dey happen ooo. 1 Like |

Crime / Re: Nigerian Army Filmed In Fierce Gun Battle With Kidnappers by Hausa(m): 7:09pm On Jan 31 |
Seems there's an error in tactical amongst these soldiers, or they're just plain inexperienced on confrontation matters. Even if that guy was a kidnapper, no way in hell should he be shot at. I mean, he's surrounded, and can be questioned subsequently. We hear a soldier saying "no fire am." It can as well mean the women might've been fired by the soldiers. Wahala wa ooo. |

cyrusmillz:His major problem is his finishing. It's not his strongest. But the movement, runs, etc., is world class. Although not all clubs will need such, but I guess it suits for the club he plays for... And Nigeria as a country. Considering the supply is not that great. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Hausa(m): 8:39pm On Jan 13 |
Roland17:Like I'd said before, if Oscar Bob has ability, it's easier for his game to develop better and more grounded than that of Saka, Martinelli, ESR, Nelson, and even Odegaard, in the long run. Why? Healthy system, strong models to learn and model from, and Players that have been there and done that. Not once or twice, but severally. And this is exactly what our team lacks. 1 Like |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Hausa(m): 8:33pm On Jan 13 |
KDB's up-through ball to Oscar Bob is one of the things we lack in our team. And it's exactly what Odegaard should be doing but likes to stay close to Saka. Like I'd said before, he's our chief influcner in the game, but his influencing is not just enough. Unfortunately again, Rice lacks those abilities. That's why I laugh when people talk about that Everton guy. I'm like, we're looking for players that can take us from point A to B and we're talking about him? Wtf?! Commentator called it "HallMark of Champions." At the end of the game, Jon Champion also said, "And the headline of this thrilling game is that Kevin DeBruyne is back." 4 Likes |
Sports / Re: Here Are The Last Six AFCON Winners by Hausa(m): 5:51pm On Jan 13 |
ogbonti:Actually, the knocking of the ball and all, is obtainable in all teams. Ours (naija) might even be superior. You just need to watch the training and see. Even poor footballing countries like Samoa, Fiji, Cape Verde, etc., will do same. When matchday comes, it falls apart. It then turns from ball-to-ground passes, to absolute hoof-volleyball display. And just so you know, those on clean cuts are those that keep it naturally in their respective clubs. Like Pépé, Aurier, Boly, etc. If you watched the video till the end, you'll see that not all kept clean cuts. And it's so everywhere. I'll recommend you watch more football to broaden your horizon. |

mostob:When I see this, it hurts me everytime for Saka and Martinelli. Football doesn't lie. If in two years, and there's no significant growth in their game, Otilo. I need a coach that can bring out the best in these guys before it's late. Arteta has to go. |

Roland17:I don't trust him too. To think I even forgot to mention Havertz is an embarrassment on my person. I doubt there was a sit-down plan to buy Havertz. It is as if to say he noticed Havertz was not wanted, and then rushed to get him. Chelsea will be laughing at us now for throwing such an amount away. The dude plays like he's tired of the sport. I was making a personal analysis on Saka this morning and I said to myself that as compared to other better players that have played for Arsenal before them, the only Grace he has durability. To play close to 240 matches and has never been out for as much as 3 weeks is testament to his durability. We can add Odegaard & Martinelli too. Odegaard - 130+ matches. Martinelli - 150+ matches. In a long time, they're the luckiest first team Arsenal midfield/attacking players we've had. Not even Wilshere, The Ox, Walcott, Ramsey, and RVP were this lucky. An unfortunate case in point to that durability problem is Smith-Rowe. I mean, as it stands, can the nigga even play 10 straight matches in a row without having one issue or another? OMG! |
