Balcony probably faulty.
And since it's a First World Country, they'd probably sue for negligence.

Good!
Anyone who commits a crime should face the law.

While that is happening let's all continue to pray to God to not lead us into the temptation to commit a crime - knowingly or unknowingly.

We've seen it before.
One minute you're happily married. Next, you've used aka-odo to hit your wife.
One minute things looked so cool, next minute as you're driving you hit a boy on the road and in an attempt to run, jungle justice ensues.
May God help us. [/quote]
Politics / Re: Ethnic Character At A Glance - Yoruba Vs Hausa Vs Ibo by Hausa(m): 6:02pm On Sep 27, 2023
The way this Nigeria be, it seems other tribes are just left out.
Nigeria is made up of Yorubas, Igbos...
And then OTHERS.
Na only Igbo and Yoruba matter for all Social media dey everly gain better Traction.
Shay dem swear for us ni?

That said, as someone from Anambra that has spent enough time in all places:
1. Yorubas: Nothing much that I haven't seen in other places, tbh.
I maintain sha, that Lagos provides much more exposure for everything than any other place in Nigeria.

2. Igbos: same as no 1; Except the southeast is a little too homogeneous for my liking. Well, maybe cos I was born and raised in Lagos sha.
In most schools, jobs, etc., it's mostly Igbos.
This is me judging cos I was born and raised in Lagos. When there's a mass recruitment available, due to the high rate of unemployment, the indigenes ensure that it is only them that should get the job and not other states (not even SE neighbours). This was clearly observed during the Anambra Teachers' recruitment.
I was disappointed, but I've since realised there are just no jobs and so they needed to get fixed somewhere. Tbh, it's not out of place judging it with an open mind.
I'll also take the quality of food in the east over any other place. And then ease and availability of fruits.
I maintain that the southeast has more quality Human Resources with a better capacity than all states in Nigeria. My only disappointment has always been that the Human Resources has not translated to making the SE a better place.
If I brag that Anambra has more quality Human Resources than any other state in Nigeria, what's my proof?
Big Houses, mansions, account balance?
That's BULL in my opinion. Because there's nothing much in terms of real development in the state. As a state, creativity is low, innovation is low, etc. So much blaming, pointing fingers, etc. Who has it helped? No one.

3. Hausa: Just slightly too religious, but since it didn't affect me, I never had a problem with it. My problem was the market. The quality of things I found in Lagos and Onitsha, could not be found in the states I lived in the north (Yobe, Sokoto).
I find the north much more peaceful than the east and the west.
Yet, I find the north much more backward (wey never open eye wella) than other regions.
When I say there's low creativity and innovation in Anambra, it is x5 worse in the north.

In the matter of beef, hate, animosity, etc., I have found the bad blood in all the states I've lived in.
I'm just too open-minded to worry about them - knowing that it's part of human nature.
In terms of accommodating, I've found everywhere accommodating. When people say "we're more accommodating than you", it sounds so weird to me. I've never understood how the context is defined.
It doesn't sound like an intelligent statement but a statement to spite. Like I said, open mindedness helps a lot.
I have also found Lagos to have much more genuine Christians than everywhere, with a fresher perspective to the teachings of Christ.

God bless Nigeria.
Eventually, we might need to separate. And I'll gladly say aye to the separation.

I don't want to be a judge, but there's more to this than meets the eye. Is it possible Mohbad was into something else? To think I never heard of him till his death is so strange.
Let's reason this:
How can a mother say she left the house cos she was afraid of being kidnapped? Is it that the money now became too much or a lot of people were visiting their house and the mother didn't feel comfortable?

I personally don't think this is depression. There's probably more to it.

I will make Some examples from my past experience with Igbo people.

The first was a friend of mine, we did sec. School together and later met in Lagos. We decided to join heads together and stay in a one room self..I bought 6 by 6 mattress and generator. He has TV and some gadgets to make the house comfortable. Whenever I m out, he will tell the remaining tenants that he is the one squatting me. Whenever he goes out and brings goodies and I want to take inside, he will tell me he doesn't want to open it now, but he will share it with people in the compound just to impress them..I was not bothered. If me ma go my twin brother place, he go package like 20 peak milk, 20 Titus and some other mad packages do me. I bought a bag and begin locking them. It went on like that. There was one day, my chapet got finished and I took his. I didnt put it directly in my lips since I knew it was for one person. I just use my hand to scoop little out of it. Before you know he started ranting that the chapet was for one person. I let him be. One day I went to visit my brother. As I was going, he transfered 50k to my account, I thanked him and told him that our friend ma no too get cash to hand o. Na inside this one wey you give me self I go take go arrange some stuffs at home. On my way home, I never knew my brother had transfered 10k to my friend. I got home and prepared good food and also gave him some cash too..only for me to go to my brothers place the next weekend, he then told me that didnt my friend tell me he transfered money to him. I was like en yes he told me. Cos I was wondering if I had told him that he didnt tell me. How would he my brother feel. I got home and confronted my Igbo friend o. Guy my brother send you money, you no even care to tell me, I told him i was the one that gingered my brother to give you that money and besides if he gave you 10k, do you how much he go don give me. Then also his own chapet got finished. I don buy my own..he has forgotten he told me chapet was for only one users. He was about putting my own in his lips, I now reminded him that he said it was for one person..the mum u drop the chapet sharprly
Your story is long. Yet, I maintain you cannot use experience of your igbo friend to judge others.
There'll always be good and bad experiences. This is the world we live in.

Being a good Christian and proper education helps us understand that.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Men Of Gold Don't Wear Gold! by Hausa(m): 6:15pm On Aug 30, 2023
blazepascal:

Yesterday I had to visit somewhere and it was raining so I did not want to drive there since I was not too familiar with the road, so I parked my car somewhere close and used a keke (tricycle).

While I was there I got a call from a long time friend reminding me of my promise to her husband over a job, so I quickly told her my location, and asked her to tell her husband to meet me up ASAP since I will be leaving town soon, but I told her to tell her husband to meet me up where I parked my car since that place was a popular land mark .

I don’t know her husband and we have never met before. As I sent her the address, she called me back and was so excited that I was even around her area which will make it easy for him because he did not even have transport to come out, things was that bad. So I told her that he should pick a drop and I will pay.

In other not to keep him stranded I had to start rushing back to where I packed my car. God, I even entered under the rain, cold, just to meet up with him so he will not be stranded. As I was walking under the rain I saw a keke and stopped it.

The keke man asked me to beg the man inside so he will allow me join him since i was drenched, so I started begging. The man refused and said I was wet. I told him I will sit to one side, and he refused, saying except I pay for both his fare and mine.

I agreed, then he allowed me. As I entered this man kept me uncomfortable, saying if my wet clothes touch him again I will get down. I just kept my cool until I finally got to my destination. I did not even reach when I stopped at the junction and paid then used my legs to walk to my car, since it was very close.

I was inside my car warming myself, then I got a call from my friend saying her husband was around, so I described my car and he came. I saw someone knocked on my car glass, wound down and it was this same man in a keke with me. Gosh!

I was suppose to pay the keke man, and recommend him for a job? Tears rolled down my eyes, I brought out N3,000, gave him, started my car and zoomed off. My friend has been calling and sending me messages, I had to block her.

Be careful, many times men of gold don’t wear gold. Be nice! Angels do not wear ID cards.
It's an interesting story and an unfortunate one at the same time.

I thought I should ask, knowing that this man was jobless and was heading for a potential opportunity meet-up, what if he was just trying so hard not to be messed up himself by the drenched person?
If I was going for an interview for instance, I want to be as presentable as possible. Any form of blemish from anyone is going to be frowned upon. Especially if I was going in a public transport.

You're right that the man's attitude stank.
Yet, I'd like that you look at it from another perspective and make a decision.

God bless.

Ibrahim59:
Sometimes when the unexpected happen, it seems all hope is lost and the world should come to an end but wait, every individual in life has two times: The night hour & The Day Break.

The night hour is a challenging moment, how long one stay there depend on a lot factors. However, while waiting, it is paramount for one to plan and prepare for life after the long night hour.

My Story:

I am Emmanuel from Ibadan. A 34 years old Business Administration graduate from one of the state university in Nigeria.

I graduated in the year 2012 and served in 2013. Since graduation, I've been industrious, ambitious and focus. Things were working for me until 2020 when everything started nose diving.

Presently, I have lost everything I had. Things are getting difficult day by day. I can't even afford to feed myself but have I lost hope? The answer is NO.

I strongly believe this is my night hour. I am only using this medium to reach out to good people out there to get out of this situation. If anyone assist me from here, indeed they have impacted a destiny positively.

I have some digital business in mind (I have acquired some digital skills while waiting using some free resources). However, it will take some time to get started and build a sustainable businesses from those skills because I don't have any of the resources to get started.

Resources needed:

*Android phone(I am typing this note from a borrowed phone)
*Domain name
*Web hosting
*Data subscription for the next 6momth.

What Assistance Do I Need

To be honest, i need a job (it could be administrative role, hospitality, or other field) with salary from 40k upward depending on location will go a long way in assisting me to achieve my dream.

My future plan can't affect the job because my proposed business is basically on content creation and marketing which can be done passively consistently.

I am ready to work anywhere in Lagos, Ibadan, Ogun and Osun state.

If you are ready to render assistance but with terms and conditions, you can reach me on 08137097856

Thank you for your time.

Religion / Re: When God Does Not Answer Your Prayers by Hausa(m): 8:58am On Aug 17, 2023
Tescentre:
Dear friends, I feel delighted to share some thoughts with you this morning as I communed with myself.

It is not unusual to find yourself asking God for one thing or the other. It is also not unusual to mandate the integrity of God to do what He said he will do.

It even gets crazier when in the midst of your waiting, a brother/sister who isn’t close to God as you are, or even appear righteous as you think you are, walks to the front of the church to share a testimony that you think he/she isn’t qualified for.

You leave the meeting asking yourself what exactly isn’t right with the version of God you have.

How about when you join Pastor Jerry Eze every morning and yet you don’t get answers after six months?

Well, I’m sorry I don’t have a holistic answer for you. At least not in this write-up.

My focus is in your feeling, the flow of emotions at the quietness of God; your feeling at the stagnancy of life; your feeling at the numbness of events around you, when God has decided not to answer you for no just cause.

During this kairos moment, you are faced with either seeking the best alternative or continuing with God whose status you can’t even view.

But if you will turn aside, and give thanks, and give thanks again, and again and again, with those tears, that betrayal, in the midst of that chronic lack; suddenly, your negative emotions begins to evaporate, and as you give more thanks, your soul becomes lighter, and you give more thanks, your mind opens up to possibilities, a new energy is released.

The problem may not be solved immediately but the lightness of your soul will begin to ferry you beyond the bondage of that situation.

Another layer of you will spring up that will compel your answer to you.

Dear friends, today is another day to try thanksgiving.

Thank God, not just for what He has done but for what He will empower you to conquer.

God bless you.
I'm just coming across this. And even though the post was long ago, I've come to realise anything that has to do with God is always everyday new.
I appreciate this post.
In all honesty, it seems I haven't been giving thanks enough. I should do it more.

Thanks a lot.
Cheers.

I thought we were dreadful in today's game to be honest. I'm hoping it's because it was the 3rd match and we probably knew we had qualified.

In honesty, we're not as good as advertised.
It seems to me some of the players ignore the need to play as a team and focus more on playing individual football. Individual football is not bad. But you need to be good enough to ignore team play and go individual.

Anyway, we have enough time to work on any issues before the KO stages.
