mctfopt: How much is it in AliExpress? Some stores have varying types: TFT, Amoled, Original. The TFT (with frame) is like $23. The Amoled and Original is in the $40+ range. Some are selling for 50+. |
Technology Market › Re: This Thread Is Only For Aliexpress Shopper by Hausa(m): 8:24pm On Aug 15, 2024 |
Olamak1: The screen is of 3 types – AMOLED , OLED and TFT. Amoled is like the follow-come, that's why it's expensive. Maybe that's the one the person is selling for 60k. Oled, on the other hand, is the next in quality but not as expensive. TFT is the normal phone screen. Those one are quite cheap.
If what you have in mind is AMOLED, then you'd do well buying it locally. The reason is that, unless you wait for promotion time when things are a bit cheaper, you'll definitely spend more ordering a good one from AliExpress at the moment due to high dollar exchange rate, Thanks, bro. You're right. Turns out many being sold in CV are copy (28k, 35k), with no front fingerprint. I went to Samsung office and was told the phone was not made for the region, so dem no get am. I eventually saw one with the fingerprint in front and went for it. It was called original, but I'm not too convinced. Got it for 60k. If I had enough time I would've gotten it at AE, as it was also going to come with a back cover and a lens. Which, because I didn't use a pouch on it, the phone isn't that fresh. |

mctfopt: First, check cost of screen with good reviews on AliExpress, then go to CV to check the cost of screen. If difference in price is too much, buy screen in AliExpress. If cheaper in CV, you know what to do. Thanks. Will head to CV tomorrow to know what's up. Someone on Jiji said 60k for screen. Sounds extremely outrageous to me. |

Osun state did not shared border with any country.Ejigbo peoples were traders that traveled to Togo,Ghana and Ivory Coast for business from time immemorial and have established communities in these countries. Oh, I always thought they had. I thought I'd heard someone saying there's a travelling route from the south west to Togo. Maybe I didn't hear well. |

Kog45: Possibly from Ejigbo in Osun State cuz we have large numbers of Ejigbo in Togo,Ghana and Ivory Coast,Emma Adebayour families are from Ejigbo but this should not be news cuz seeing Chima Fujita a Igbo boy captain Japanese Olympic football team says it all….Nigeria men dey try o Oga Chriskel. Not the same. The Jap guy has a Nigerian father and a Jap mother. I think there's a border in Osun state that people have talked about in the past, where one can travel to Togo from or something. |

Marjoribanks: Our people lack Emotional intelligence!
We needed Ofili at the World relays for the 4 by 400m but she turned the country's request down stating she doesn't want to get injured.
However, at the Olympics, she is willing to run 900m in 4 days! How?
I find it funnier when people says she will medal at 100m, when she has the same time as Candice Hill who placed last at the American Olympic trials.
Gabby, Brown etc did not run the 100m, and that did not stop them getting a medal at the 200m.
She guilty tripping the federation is a very bad behavior. Ignorantly our people are calling for her to change Nationality. I find that really funny. We take from the country, and spit back at it! Nawa o. This is sad. |

Science/Technology › Re: The Snake I Killed In My Room Around 2AM by Hausa(m): 12:04pm On Jun 11, 2024 |
Why're people of the opinion that if they kill a baby creature, the mother is not far away? Snakes for e.g. If you've stayed in environments with snakes, you'd know this doesn't apply at all. Once a snake gives birth, after some moments the babies start to scatter away. The mother is an adult and instinctively knows she's no friend to anyone. She goes on to hide in places you'll hardly ever find it. Especially in places with little to no regular human contact.
In my house in the village in those days, when we didn't come back to the house for like a decade, by the time we opened it, we saw massive pythons chilling inside it. Eventually, we put people in the house and the infestation reduced. Years later, I've seen snakes in the compound during rainy season, but never seen anyone looking like a mother. All babies.
How many of you guys have ever seen a mother snake in your compound to start with? Especially in a compound you live in. |

Politics › Re: Where Were You In 1999? by Hausa(m): 6:05pm On May 29, 2024 |
About 10 at the time. We were just settling into our new house in Owutu Ikorodu, having moved from Ire-Akari Estate, Isolo, in January. A strange place considering the roads in Isolo were all tarred and houses had gates and fences. In Ikorodu then, no roads were tarred apart from the major mile-12 road that passed through Agric - Garage and the roundabout. Many houses didn't have fence and gates. Yet, the area was peaceful and devoid of criminals.
That's when I knew I had been in the dark a little bit. The young people in the environment were very good in sports, table tennis, ludo, etc. The Sega game, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64 were the consoles then. International Super Star Soccer Deluxe II, and the MK3 Ultimate Mortal Combat was the games we played in viewing centres. It had to be viewing centres cos even though we already had Dstv and borehole (as compared to other houses) at the time in 1999 at home, my people were a bit averse to things like that.
Ikorodu then was like a free place. I go place to place with barefoot, had a lot of friends. We played, fought, etc. The concept of tribe was non-existent, as different tribes all came together playing and learning things on the streets. As time went on, my people were worried and said I was beginning to join bad gangs and peer-pressure related stuff. Me sef no small because I worry wella. And you know the Yorubas are very good in boxing fights or throwing blows in fights. It didn't take long till me sef began to learn to throw blows and challenge my colleagues with serious fisticuffs. I no fear any person. Ikorodu was such an influence.
By 2005 it became too much and I was shipped off to live in the quarters of UNN - where the environment was 100% different. Quiet and like a monastery. My aunt then was like, "see it as a privilege coming to live in this kind of environment cos you don't get to have that opportunity never. Ikorodu was done for me!
The good ol' days. |
