On Southampton, we need to, in our prayers, pray for the spirit of self-sabotage... Where we'll be doing everything right, and then use our own hands to ruin everything - by words or action.
Because Southampton would probably have played today and would probably have won. But just look at. Not even an opportunity to participate.
Their actions have brought disappointment to the fans and owners. It also meant they lost millions in money. Unfortunate. |

Reference: It is not easy buying players of equal capabilities. Agents are on alert these days for clubs that just want backup and will not agree to a trade unless signed agreements and guarantees of playing time are made.
We are in an era of statistics and auto valuation. A player on the bench sees his valuation steady fall and with valuation comes the ability to negotiate for higher wages or maintain certain wages when the time is due to extensions not to talk of bonuses and other perks that invariably extend to the agents themselves. ysjaa I am sure Christian Nordgaard is wondering why he came to Arsenal in the first place when he has to compete with a far superior player in Zubimendi and will be absolutely petrified at the sudden rediscovery of Skelly. You're throwing words around. Zubimendi is no way a far, or even a superior player to Noorgard. Stop that! If he was, Skelly won't be playing. |
Sports › Re: Football’s Injury Crisis: How ACL And Achilles Blows Are Reshaping Squads by Hausa(m): 5:51pm On May 06 |
While ACL and Achillies injuries are major injuries, ACL and Achillies are not necessarily common. For a whole season, it might not happen to a player in a club.
There are other injuries that affects teams completely - hamstring, ankle, thigh, and calf. These are the ones that causes great problems. |

No. 36 was not usually called Maximum Shishi, but Scientific Maximum Shishi (SMS). I detested that sh!!t like mad.
Looking back many years later, I just imagined how things happen socially in our environment and how everyone just goes with the flow. You could imagine the same amongst the Jews and Jesus, and among his apostles after he left the earth. We read about it many times in the Dark Days of America, etc. Whether guilty or not, everyone just wants to descend on someone as soon as they observe that others are doing the same.
Very barbaric. |

SportConn: Anyone know good football pitches for pickup games in Lagos?
I’ve been trying to find solid places to play pickup football in Lagos, but it’s not as straightforward as I thought.
I’m just looking for somewhere I can show up, join a game, and enjoy good football with decent players.
Preferably:
good turf safe environment active pickup games (not empty fields)
Anywhere around Lekki, Yaba, Surulere, or even Ikeja works for me.
If you know spots where people actually gather to play regularly, drop them here 🙏⚽
Would really appreciate it. What do you think about playing on hard concrete (coal-tar)? If you fancy, the Surulere Stadium will be your best bet. |
