Mathewrichard99: You have forgotten to mention the policemen eyeing the phones and wallets of the presumed dead guys. That's the nature of most Nigeria Police though to be sincere, we still have some few decent policemen among this lots.
I can't just forget the day I rescued or helped a one chance victim thrown down from a bus under Ijesha bridge, close to Lords Chosen by the criminals. I stopped to help out and not too long I stopped, another car too pulled to a stop and the driver claimed he was a policeman. That gives me moral support to even help the guy cos of the presence of the policeman. He helped me to carry the guy to my car which is bigger than his so that the victim can spread easily. He was bleeding seriously cos he was also shot, I never knew he was even shot until I got to Luth at Idi Araba when doctor quickly rushed him from my car straight to ICU.... Immediately I got to LUTH.....I just jumped down from my car amd started shouting help help he's dying, he's dying, one chance one chance.....thank God I met young doctors that day doing their whatever, it was when things were was getting so complicated that they went and call a senior doctor. No money was asked or collected from me until I was able to get the victim's brother and he came that night. The victim was able to tell us his name and also gave his brother's number at Okota palace. That police ran away with the victim's phone that night. He lied that I should be going and that he would follow me. He never did. I went to police station at Okota to collect Police report and then he was still with me went to St Raphael hospital, he was turned down but I insisted first aid to be given.....went to Isolo general hospital but wasn't accepted cos of too much blood lost and referred to Lasuth.....Lasuth disappointed me big time and referred me to Luth where I met mercy on this guy.All this while, the police man had ran, disappeared with the guys phone. Though, when I think about it sometime, it's possible he might have missed his way and couldn't follow up with me or didn't have enough fuel again cos that period, there was wide spread fuel scarcity.....this is about 2004 or 2005. I must tell you guys that whenever I remember my movement that night, from 10: 30 PM till 4:40 AM the next day. Moving from one hospital to another until finally LUTH, I keep asking myself that how about if the guy had died. These are questions I asked myself after everything, asked myself that what gave me the liver, the boldness. I could remember the guy calling me severally from the back of my car and begged that I shouldn't allow him to die. His white shirt had turned to red with a little dots of white. I cried as I was promising him that he would never die. Saying it all over again and again and crying and driving at the same time. Then, nothing like tribal hatred like now. The guy is Ibo and am Yoruba but we became friends closer than family or blood brothers at that moment. I am so glad that I could save somebody's life then..I believe up till today, that God counted that singular action of mine as a guarantee of his absolute love and forgiveness to any sin or mistake I had ever committed or would ever commit. Thanks Everyone, Am getting emotional all over again.... Omo, this is some serious stuff. While reading I was wondering who could do this in 2024, only to realise it was about 2 decades ago. OMG! Bros., as you said, God counted it for you. The thing you did, in 2024, e go hard for anyone to do for this naija. Kudos to you, man. |

jboixxx: It's that bad. I did a return last year or so. If not for the relationship with the people in charge and the State head, would have lost everything cuz IMPC kept returning the package for one flimsy excuse or the other, and this returns were after pressure from my PO for tracking number update. All these took about 4 months. Eventually, I asked them to return the package and forfeit the shipping fee of about 10k. At least, I had my package back.
The one I did after COVID got to China in 6 months but update didn't get to last mile. Lost package, though the return was due to custom duty, so, I didn't pay for return fee.
So, for me, return via NIPOST/EMS if you're not in Lagos and have connect to follow up on your shipment till it's out of the country, is a NO-NO. Also, as packages de miss for IMPC here, so also for China (my post-COVID shipment experience). For clarity, you returned the item because of defect, abi? Or the sellers said you should return so they'll send another? |

lexy2014: How does a teacher collecting 35k mean that they don't have the know-how to teach a student to pronounce "through" as "θru"?
Is teaching "θru" the only thing a child learns in school? That was just an example picked out of many stuff. But bros., at 35k, e go hard. Not only for the teacher, but also the school. This is 2024, not the 70s when teachers had grounded solid fundamentals. |

Aremwayne: The lad is sound academically tho, if not I would have looked for a public school and flinged him there. Nice one. Obviously he got it from his parents. Perhaps you're also putting some efforts yourself. Because 35k as salary? Ah, e go be like Fela saying "teacher no teach me nonsense." |

Aremwayne: I pay 137k for my ward and their teachers salary is 35k. How is your ward doing academically? Hope you're paying attention to their "θ" theta sound pronunciation? I don't see a 35k teacher having the know-how to teach a student to pronounce "through" as "θru". It will be "true" instead. How's their arithmetic? Knowing this, you'll have to do your personal best to also tutor your ward during the weekend. It'll help them brush up for muscle memory early. |

Anthony Joshua is in the highest weight class in boxing. Don't compare. Again, the boxers are both retired. The fight was in 2012. |

It's one of the things that makes the United States a great country, isn't it? That justice must be served at all cost no matter what.
It's also something we must learn as Nigerians in positions. A wrong doing must and should never be swept under the carpet or it'll lead to more wrong doing and become difficult to tackle. That's why we're going down and down and down. |
