Tell them apply for you as new entrant if you don't mind the pay cut. You can always renegotiate with HR again once you are back on the job.

If they're hesitant on reframing you as new entrant, tell them since the work experience in their trust is still going to be new anyway, you can be considered new entrant on that basis
Grace321:
Please help me out. I got this email from a job I applied for. I got my first COS before April 2024 which I believe enables me to transition. Going through gov.uk website, I qualify for the lower going rate for the job. The job salary is more than the lower going rate but in their email they said it’s not high enough (which I don’t understand) and can only sponsor via new entrant, in which I do not meet the requirements.

Please see below email
You have been verbally offered the above role and, as you are currently on a Sponsored Visa with your employer, you will need new Sponsorship with the Trust.

The role you have been offered comes under Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) Code 3111 Laboratory technicians.

This is a Medium Skilled role and, as the Trust do not require 3 years’ experience, we are only able to Sponsor this role as it is on the Temporary Shortage List.  The salary required to Sponsor means that we can also only Sponsor someone who is eligible to apply as a New Entrant, as otherwise the Band 3 Salary is not high enough to Sponsor”.

Please how can I go about this?

Thank you

As a silent observer, thank you for your contribution all the time.

I have another question as a first time driver

I have been on car search between Auto trader, Arnold's and other sites.

Conditions are; budget is 8k but I can do EV of more if it's worth it. I couldn't decide either to buy affordable new EV of 14k Dacia spring on payment plan or just buy any suggested used car under 8k. Suggestions given so far are Toyota Yaris, Hyundai i20, Peugeot 308 all 2020 version and above.

Kindly help me advice and suggestions that maybe outside of this list.

Greetings to the house,

Kindly suggest travel hot spot ideas within UK, without the need to go through immigration border.

I just need different locations of where I can go to maximise my upcoming summer holiday (6weeks).

I don't mind if you can plan it for me 🤣🤣🤣 with loads of activities

I have written this down as some form of strategy I
will implement or suggest to Nigeria government many years ago, I didn't know someone in Burkina faso is thinking the same. I have a much more robust approach though

Your brain has been tampered with Nigerian oppression
Quest7777:
Lets get this clear:

-Prophet Fufeyin manufactures soap,
-sends the soap to NAFDAC for certification,
-NAFDAC certifies the soap based on the listed ingredients, that it is OK for use by Nigerians,
-Fufeyin prays over the soap and presumably impacts healing powers into the soap,
-Fufeyin puts up the soap for sale,
-Nigerians who believe Fufeyin has impacted healing powers into the soap buy the soap.

-VDM calls out Fufeyin as a Scammer
-Fufeyin sues him to court for spoiling business for him, restraining him from further speaking against the miracle soap.

My opinion:
*Nafdac only certified the soap as ordinary soap not as miracle soap so Nafdac has nothing to answer

*Court can not convict Fufeyin as a Scammer. I have never seen any pastor jailed on account of failed religious belief or prophecy.
Also it will mean all these pastors who sell Olive Oil as Anointing Oil would have been convicted.

*VDM should be careful. He stands the risk of being convicted for Defamation, cyberbullying or some other criminal charges.

*I'm not in any way justifying Fufeyin. I'm only looking at the legal perspective.

Guys, please I need advice. My employer recently sent my 3yr CoS to me and while it's a good thing, the cost that goes along with it seems to be much at the moment as we just finished paying tuition fee. Loan companies needed us to have good credit score before we can be eligible for loans. Are there any alternatives we could try to be able to get a loan?

NASUWT has done a good job by breaking down what the teacher association wants and compare against manifesto of each party. Green party 💚 seems to be the best of them all. Labour touched on everything without saying anything in particular, no quantitative point, so they won't be held responsible if they only made a tiny contribution towards each point.
PoliticsRe: Governors Reject N60,000 Minimum Wage by headofschool: 6:55am On Jun 08, 2024
You see, when you vote for Governors that have zero industrial and entrepreneurial development sense, this is what you get. The money FG gave you was not supposed to be your only source of income as a state. Have you not thought about attracting investors

Any new governor you will vote without any iota of attracting big companies into the state should be ignored....stupid people waiting on FG money

Congratulations to myself and thank you for your kind words.
After relentless effort had been put into the job interviews, myself and wife got job eventually. We give God the glory

I have accepted and signed the offer and awaiting the full contract. The school does a have a sponsorship license but I did not inform the school that I would need a sponsorship during the interview. I made it known to the HR after signing the offer and then she responded that she will need to confirm from the trust. Days later she gave a call that the trust have exhausted their quota for the year and would only be able to know "if I will be sponsored by June"

The issue now is, schools will close all interviews adverts towards the end of term and next will be when they resume in September. There's post study visa option but quite expensive. Should I push further for the HR to give a definite answer if I will be sponsored by June or should I try other school?

Secondly, if I get an offer from other school and accept theirs at this time, it may result in a professional misconduct as I have signed and accepted an offer elsewhere before. Kindly put me through on this issue as I do not want to risk withdrawal of offer due to pressure being put on HR for sponsorship process with the Trust. Visa will expire by August

Goodday Seniors, I have been on my third interview for a teaching role in design and technology. Although I got almost 15-20 interview invite but I declined to those with sponsorship.

The locations of the schools I have done my interviews were East Finchley, Ilford and Mansfield Woodhouse.

The schools commended my subject knowledge and assessment, behaviour management but gave what I'd like to call flimsy excuses for reasons not to go ahead with hiring. One even said I did not address myself as 'Mr' to the student.

Where do you think I am getting things wrong?? I am refusing to attribute it to anything related to 'racism'.

Same thing with wifey, the hiring team for her admin role in NHS said loud and clear "sincerely, you ticked all the boxes and there is no area we can say you needed to improve but we are sorry, we are just unable to hire you" this was their response on phone call (phone on speaker, so i heard too), after she had gone for the interview.

What tips or advise can you give us, it's getting frustrating

Thanks @justwise

They do give feedback and its always on the spot for my role. What I don't understand is why such little detail will be a means for not progressing when he ticks major boxes like subject knowledge, assessment, behaviour management. Lessons can't be 100% for a new teacher.

What about those who gave feedback to wifey and said "no area in particular is needed for improvement"?
justwise:
I’m glad you did not see this racially even if it’s, don’t give up applying for more jobs, you are getting closer, getting more interviews is a good sign.

The only tip I may give is to ask for a feedback after rejection email. Ask them to tell you any area they think you need to improve on going forward.

Free advice...it seems you put alot of effort in your design however you may need to take some lessons on colour palette to know how colours blend with each other and the room and the message you are portraying. Secondly, most of the design you posted have sharp and straight edges..try blending in some curves, spirals, twist etc you may want to consider investing in some apps like a VR headset where you will upload your client's home into a VR space and make it before actual work

I did not mention January
justwise:
Where in the bible did God commands Christians to give they January salary as first fruit?
TravelRe: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by headofschool:
Whatever first fruit means to you... Bible commands that we bring first fruit of harvest...in any case either you do it annually or monthly it is still the same as tithe and God made it so.

Having been in the UK, I now understand why tithing was an issue to some Nigerians. However if you personally feel it is a rip off, just take that as your opinion.
There are pastors who take advantage of it and get dubious, but tithing was not designed to make pastor richer than members... However some Pastors who have become extremely rich are natural business men who would flourish wherever they work. I might condemn those who sell anointing oil and water but selling books , audios, videos or establishing educational institutions are very justified means of a natural business man be it a pastor or not.

People with so much anger about tithing and enriching pastor should also take bold step to sue home office to stop wasting millions of your tax🤣 to fund Bibby Stockholm's maintenance and illegal migrant expenses...take them to court and direct your anger to a proper channel since you have stopped paying Nigerian pastor's, at least UK compulsory own too should monitored and challenged
justwise:
A lot of church goers who pay tithe does it out of ignorance of the scripture, some pay because they believe that God will bless them financially but there is no such thing.

The richest man in Nigeria or Africa is not a Christian, richest man in the world is not a Christian but they all have one thing in common…they have products and services that generate wealth for them.

Nigerian pastors become rich after scamming their gullible members through all sorts of false teachings and fake miracles.
