Hey everyone.. This topic applies to both ladies and gentlemen,there is a compulsory need for personal hygiene,most especially when it comes with what you put on.. boxers or panties needs to be regularly changed daily to avoid unecessary infections and damages.. safety precautions and awareness should be done.

so today at HEALINIC,we will be looking at the dangers of not regularly changing your undies i.e pants and boxers. please read below ;



1. Your Skin Will Get Itchy : This is generally the first thing that happens on any part of the body that isn't lucky enough to be covered with clean clothes, but it can be particularly annoying when it happens around your lady parts. Unwashed panties
can irritate the skin, making you want to scratch like a crazy person at all hours of the day.
It happens because of the bacterial buildup in the fabric of the underwear, which transfers to your sensitive skin down there. While this particular side effect isn't something to be very worried about, if you don't do something about it, that irritation could result in something more serious than having to scratch yourself incognito.


2. Your Sexual Organ Will Start To Smell Different : This is another serious case, Yep, you've got scents coming from your sexual organ, There is really nothing weird about it but the smells that are trying to send you a message. Listen to your down part. Your nostrils may encounter something musty or otherwise different down under due to the lack of fresh air your vagina is getting from the days-old panties. That jade garden of yours needs plenty of oxygen; the longer you wear the same underwear, the less it gets, meaning the more likely it is for odd scents to accumulate.


3. Develop Sores And Rashes : First comes the itchiness, and then comes the sore or rash. Because the boxers have been out and about for so long, the not-so-clean material will chafe your skin. When ignored, it can lead to visible protrusions or redness, neither of which are pleasant to deal with. 5. You May Develop a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) : for women,If you've never had a UTI, you're a lucky woman. These infections occur when bacteria crawl their way up into the urinary tract, and that can happen in many different ways. For example, if you've had the same panties or boxers on for a while, there's a chance that particles of feces have settled into the fabric. If those germs mosey their way around to the wrong home, you'll be slammed with a UTI and have to visit your doctor.

Changing your undies often and washing them in hot water will kill those mean bacteria and prevent infections from happening to your innocent, lovely vagina. So rock all 34 pairs by changing them often you might as well.

Soft drinks etc is one of the most consumed beverages in the Nigeria, second only to water. Here in Nigeria, we consumes upto 57 gallons of soft drinks per person every year as form of refreshment after a hectic day, on the road during a frustrating traffics form of entertsinment and all that, as if it wasn’t full of sugary calories. But what’s happening inside the bodies of soda consumers with each sip?,sugary drinks increase the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic conditions. So today Healinic will be discussing more on dangers of soft drinks.. awareness as they say is far better than cure..







Here are the Reasons Why you need to Reduce Soft drinks intake.

1 High Risk of Cancer : There have been many studies that have looked at the links between various types of cancer and fizzy drink consumption,
Drinking just one fizzy drink a day could increase a man’s chance of developing prostate cancer by around 40 per cent, secondly Drinking just one-and-a-half cans a day can increase a girl's breast cancer risk by per cent and lastly Some chemicals that are used to colour soft drinks can cause cancer.

2. They Can Cause Diabetes: Sugar-laden drinks have been proven to increase cases of Type 2 diabetes. A study conducted between 1990 and 2000 estimated that the increased consumption of sugar-sweetened drinks contributed to 130,000 new cases of diabetes.

3. They Can Cause Premature Birth in Women: Pregnant women were warned against drinking diet fizzy drinks after a study taken in Denmark on 60,000 women. Those who drank artificially sweetened soft drinks, whether fizzy or still, were found to be more likely to give birth prematurely. It was thought that the chemicals in the artificial sweetner changed the wombs of the women.


4. They Can Damage the Brain: As well as affecting the body, fizzy drinks have been found to alter the protein levels in the brain, which could lead to hyperactivity.


5. They can Make One Violent: A study carried out on teenagers found a link between drinking fizzy drinks, violence and the likelihood of them carrying a weapon. The researchers found that even teenagers who drank just two cans a week were more aggressive towards their friends and those who drank five or more cans a week were also more likely to have drunk alcohol or smoked at least once in the previous month.


6. Liver Damage : A study from 2009 found that sugary drinks can cause fatty liver disease and drinking just two cans per day could lead to liver damage.

Beverage companies know the haphazard sugar cycle all too well. In the United States, they spend approximately $3.2 billion in marketing each year in an effort to tempt consumers to pick up a liter of brown bubbly sugar with their pizza, or a case of cans for their child’s next birthday party. Those little children have an 80 percent increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes if they become regular soda drinkers. Their future will be one full of kidney problems, reproductive issues, osteoporosis, asthma, and bad teeth with dissolved tooth enamel.

Hey Guys,today we will be talking about garri and its Effects,as we all know consumption of garri is as important as anything among the populace of West Africa like Togo, Nigeria, Benin Republic and others. It gains this importance not only because of its cheap and readily available source of food but also a fast food which requires sugar, coconut, groundnut, meat, fish, or processed preferred products like Kulikuli (yoruba) and water for the readiness of its consumption

As we are apparently aware of the fact that excess of the cassava
produced grain can cause lots of stuffs we don’t like. Since its one of Africa’s most versatile products in consumption, it leaves us vulnerable to many unwanted diseases. This cassava-produced-grain can be used to make eba (garri made with hot water). So also can it be cooked with cold water. Africa students has so made this garri a valuable stock to the extent that it brought out a phrase which I won’t want to say. It can be eaten with fried meat, raw cooked meat, fried fish, raw cooked fish, groundnut and many others.

So good as it is in quashing hunger, so also does it leaves us vulnerable to many diseases such as:



– Ulcer
– Blindness
– Stomach pain
– Blurry Vision
– Anaemia
– High blood pressure
– Diabetes (since its mostly mixed with sugar)
– Scratching of the skin.
– Skin rash
Note: it is not advisable to take garri in a cold weather.


1. Eye Defects : Garri is made from cassava which contains hydrocyanic acid. Cyanide in garri, in large quantity, can lead to serious eye defects. However, proper and thorough processing of the garri should reduce the concentration of the acid to a considerate level.

2.Cyanide : is also an organic acid in nature and where in excess, it can lead to intestinal issues, and can worsen the case of an ulcer patient.


3. Weight gain : Cassava which is the root from which garri is produced is rich in carbohydrate. A cup of garri contains about 360 calories, out of which 99% is carbohydrate. Hence, Excess consumption can lead to storing of excess carbs in the body and this can lead to unnecessary weight gain.



Solutions

- All our garri producers should learn the technical know-how of well garri processing and quality control activities should be put in place.
- Verification of sources of food nutrient should be cultivated ; carbohydrates should be sought from other diverse sources which are more nutrient rich example potatoes, brown rice.
- Other complementing source of food should be sought is as to reduce its lethal effect. NOTE: Eye defects could as well be caused based on one or more of the following:
- Genetics
- Environmental factor
- Nutrient deficiency
- Nonchalant acts
- Lack of healthy practice

Talking too much is a sign of hyperventilation. It leads to reduction in the brain CO2 and Oxygen. This interferes with oxygen transport since CO2 is a powerful dilator of blood vessels and necessary for oxygen release in tissues (the Bohr Effect). Hence, excessive talkativeness or talking too much (or with wrong skills) promotes any chronic disease: like cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and other side effects like dizziness, light-headedness, loss of concentration, emotional instability, muscular tension, and abnormal posture.

People Who Talk Too Much


According to Social psychologist, they presumes that the people who are likely to talk too much are;


1. People with Asperger's-type disorders.


2. People who are anxiousand, trying to please
the person they are talking to.

3. The Narcissists, Those who think that what they have to say is very important and entertaining.

4. Also, Clinical psychologist Bob Montgomery says some people grow up with the "bad habit" of talking without listening.
This is a problem, because communication problems often underlie many other problems people have in their relationships.
"One of the most powerful communication skills you'll learn is good listening," Dr Montgomery said. "Communication is meant to promote understanding. You can't wind up understanding each other if you're not actively listening."
And if you are trying to convince somebody of something, listening is a much more powerful tool than talking.


Why Do People Talk Too Much ?

1. People who talk too much lack personal awareness: They haven't emotionally evolved to understand about rapport and being interesting. And people do all sorts of things when nervous.




How To Stop Talking Too Much

1. Stop talking about yourself and start asking open ended questions about others. This will handle the control of conversation to other person and will allow them to talk. So if you ever got a feeling that you are talking to much, ask a question starting with why, what, how, where, etc.
2. Use paraphrase to confirm your understanding. Wait till somebody finish, then repeat the essence of what the other person has said, but in your own words. That way you focus on other person, confirm understanding and build relationship.

3. You can also apply the one minute tool (inspired by Robin Ryan's excellent book, 60 Seconds & You're Hired): if you have more to say than you can say in a minute, limit yourself to one minute and use that time to give an overview of the most important points you would make if you talked longer. Then stop and ask your listener to help you decide what to prioritize and how much more detail to go into. For each point and sub-point you add, start by speaking for just one minute, asking for more feedback as you go on to clarify which issues you need to address, and taking a moment before speaking to focus what you will say.

Hey everyone! Today we will be looking at the harmful or negative effects of Cold water or too much cold water in our system. We all as individuals love cold stuffs especially after a sunny hectic day, we need some cold drinks or water to refresh and cool our body. This includes even me that’s writing this to you all lol; But we need to know this and how to minimize the rate at which we take in cold drinks regularly..


According to Natural Law, our normal body temperature is about 98.6 degrees F. If we raise that temperature a few degrees, the body starts to show signs of distress, and we say we have a fever. We try hard to return to homeostasis or normal functioning. Experts have said drinking cold water regularly could have negative impact on the heart and the digestive system. Food and healthy living expert say that cold water is at a temperature that contradicts the overall temperature within the body system.
Even though cold drinks or water has many health benefits, drinking ice water or cold water can only give temporary relief and drinking ice water regularly has its downside.

Here are some reasons why you shouldn’t drink ice or cold water:

1 Slows Down Digestion: Drinking ice water or cold water hampers the process of digesting food as it causes your blood vessels to shrink. This can slow down the process of digestion and as the food is not digested properly, the nutrients are lost or not absorbed by the body.

2 May Lead To sore throat: Drinking cold water can cause the buildup of respiratory mucosa, which is a protective layer of the respiratory tract. When this layer gets congested, the respiratory tract is exposed and becomes vulnerable to various infections and hence the chances of your throat turning sore are high.

3 Shortage Of nutrients: The body’s temperature is 37o C and when you drink something at a very low temperature, your body has to spend energy to regulate its temperature. This spent energy is otherwise used to digest food and absorb nutrients, thereby leaving your body short of nutrition.


4 Decreases your heart rate: Drinking ice water or cold water decreases your heart rate. Studies have shown that drinking ice water stimulates the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve is the 10th cranial nerve and is an important part of the body’s autonomous nervous system that controls involuntary actions of the body. The vagus nerve mediates the lowering of the heart rate and the low temperatures of ice cold water act as a stimulus to the nerve which causes the heart rate to drop.


In conclusion, take water at a normal temperature, the brain is sensitive to temperature change which is why it freezes when one drinks cold water at first, adding that such continuous seizure is not good for it, more so That is why we advise people not to take drugs with cold water.
