None of what you've typed here shows that any single person was killed by the Nigerian army at Lekki Tollgate.

And yes, the army does use rubber bullets if deemed appropriate .

Politics › Re: #ENDSARS: Is This The End Of The Protests? by heendrix(m): 12:25am On Oct 23, 2020
Hardeysolution:
I personally feel bad seeing that the momentum is dying across. Going to Twitter, I could only resent the fact that we allowed these protests to continue until many lives were lost and properties were looted.

I remember Segun Awosanya, popularly known as segalink warned so many people of continuing the protests. Even those who called for an end were abused and ignored. It got to this point and now, the lost lives live on while dead?

We were fighting a government knowing fully well that it wouldn't make sense overnight. Or did we think, the government would start having sense all of a sudden?

I am sincerely sad that many lives were lost. Many people were made homeless and sad forever, because we continued.

Should that have been a problem if we have a reasonable government? Is there a tangible excuse to kill your citizens because they are demanding for what it is rightly theirs? Oh, we do not have a reasonable Government!

Is this the end? Just like that? The protests will end, while crime is high across? The touts aren't easy to rein in. What of Justice?

I am not a coward to think strategy works when the battle is hot. It's safe to stop when it's necessary.

What do you think?
The protest is far from over

Twitter is cool now cause the street have taken it up

they can't even try it....the Lekki killing angered some youth into killing two soldiers yesterday at Yaba and they said they're waiting for whatever back up they want to call

it's just bout time soldiers get endangered to and it'll be a terrible sign if Soldiers are not feared any longer

When you are not a fool

Someone sent you to kill your own people and you did!

You will know how far!
You See those stupid recruits in N. Army ehn they're one of
the most of the most useless vagabonds all along. they order
you to go shoot aimless civilians! Fine it's normal to obey
command but why over do the killing huh why not shoot one or two folks on the leg so others can run and fire up to the sky like the shooting is continuous so people would run for their lives

See that idiot shouting Fireee on an 80clbr machine gun. I blame myself for always pitying those fools when maltreated

The so-called 'good' ones cannot claim not to be oblivious of the rot. If they truly outnumbered them, would it be so difficult to fish out the few bad eggs? Many of them too abet which to me is also transgression but of course, not as weighty as murder itself. Anyways, this is a call for an overhaul of the rotten structure of the police force.

My focus is far more on SARS though, especially those who are guilty of murder. And also the soldiers and on whose call they ordered the execution of unarmed citizens at Lekki. These special forces have to start paying dearly for their crimes. Their identities have to be clear and unmistakable; like you, I dont want another guiltless person paying for the sins of his evil subordinates.
You See those stupid recruits in N. Army ehn they're one of the most of the most useless vagabonds all along. they order you to go shoot aimless civilians! Fine it's normal to obey command but why over do the killing huh

Aswear, Nigerians fighting the wrong people who are also victims of the society they found them selves. Crazy!

The politicians who have refused to amend our constitution for our own good and kept looting and destroying our educational system, health care, roads, etc are even getting protected by the same Nigerians. While Nigerians go about destroying the lives and properties of the same poor masses.

U see illiteracy, it is a dangerous disease.
A very terrible disease....By now those burning stations should be heading to Their house of reps, sinators houses to loots and burn everything

but police are unluckily taking the fall for it

Well I don't know your neighbourhood in Ibadan, but here around Akingbade New Gbagi area, we can't do without Gbagi Police station, infact we bribe them to patrol at night, because failure for them to patrol awon eruku won't let us sleep...

Opreation burst was one of the best thing Ajimobi created, although they are very harsh, but they were effective and I hope Makinde further strengthen them

.
Imagine you have to bribe them to do their work is still tantamount to being useless

Well for my area I think they're doing well cause Operation burst come and patrol almost every night and stay a while Bfr leaving so it has been peaceful over years

This would have very bad consiquences... We can afford to have a Policeless Ibadan, Thugs would overrun Ibadan in no time
The presence of Police with their Station has always been useless. Ajimobi knew this that was why he fought for the creation of Operation burst that has now helped keeping hoodlums and thugs in check

But OP why are you standing lotta metres away huh

Nnamdi Kanu is a dangerous human being, SE will do a world of good by disassociating from him as they’ve been doing. He has turned a legitimate struggle into something else putting a target on the entire region. What might happen in the SE will make the Lekki massacre look like a child’s play cool
I've never agreed with him but he's correct this time

we can't let what happened at Lekki stop us now
