One day I visited a family, on getting to their door, I knocked and waited. One of the children of the house came to the door, saw me and then happily ran back inside! I was amazed because she ought to have opened the door for me to come in, but she was carried away with the excitement of seeing me that she missed opening the door for me!

So many times, we keep praying and trusting God for a breakthrough, miracle or opportunity and when they finally come, we either do not notice them at all or we are too sentimental to quickly bank on them right away!

You see, there was a reason God admonished us to 'watch and pray'! That is majorly because He wants you to see the answers when He sends them forth! Truth is, the answers to so many of our prayers are just right in front of us, but we do not see them - our eyes are closed!

Beloved, in what ways are your eyes closed? In what ways are you blinded to the opportunities that are lurking around you? In what ways have you abandoned an offer because it seemed too small? Maybe the opportunity did not come in the colour and size you had hoped for! Or just maybe it was your ego at work!

There is always light at the end of the tunnel, but you would never notice it unless your eyes are opened! Your period of waiting ought to have ended, but your eyes are still closed!

You prayed for a job but rejected the 50,000 naira monthly offer that firm gave you because it was too small!
You have asked God for a husband, but the brother that came didn't show up in a car or maybe he was just too short for your liking!
You've trusted God for a breakthrough in ministry, but only the prayer department of a local church kept inviting you to minister during their retreat!
You're trusting God for a business opportunity and selling akara balls kept popping up in your mind and heart, but how can a first class graduate sell akara sef?

Beloved, make up your mind today that you will be sensitive to all opportunities God brings your way! Tell yourself that, your ego or pride will not deprive you of your blessings! Open your eyes and see the great doors God has opened already, and step into them!

'Never again will any opportunity pass me by' - let this be your resolve henceforth!

I call you blessed beyond limits! God's grace will continually speak for you! God's mercy will intervene in that situation and grant you victory at last in Jesus name. Amen.

I was in the kitchen one evening and I saw two children (a male and female) going over the lyrics of one of Olamide Badoo's songs. These children should be around 8-12 years old. The boy was rapping and the girl was rubbing her hands around his body in a sensual way. I don't know if they are related or not; my major concern today is the content of songs, videos and movies our children listen, watch and react to!

I have come across videos online where at a children's party, some would be seen dancing sexually and erotically! Ayam not understanding o! Funny thing is, at that age we were busy singing: 'clap your hands and praise the Lord...'! Anything that suggested nudity was a taboo!

If a 10 year old child is already dancing sexually and erotically at this prime and formative age, what would become of her at 18?? We have kids of 13 years of age already having boyfriends! We've read of 15 years old girls who got pregnant and gave birth!

Brethren, colour this as much as you like, give explanations to try and convince anyone if you can, but one thing remains and that is the fact that this is grossly wrong and a total aberration!!

Even if you don't have a biological child today, you sure will have one in the nearest future! Even if you choose not to, you have a relative, friend or neighbour who has a child - therefore, indirectly they become your responsibility!

Our moral sanity as a nation is nosediving on a per second billing, faster than the units of a Prepaid Meter having a 2HP (non-energy saving) Air Conditioner connected to it and the foundation of all these maladies befalling us as a people is the home, our homes!

Don't blame the lady twerking naked on the TV! Please don't blame our sons and daughters who have chosen the path of becoming 'Baby Mamas' and 'Baby Papas'! Blame the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, uncles, aunties, friends and neighbours who saw things going wrong ab initio and either kept mute or encouraged them saying 'it is what they are seeing on TV ooo'! Let's accept this, somehow we have played a part in where we have fallen to as a people!

But we must arise and secure the future generations! We must arise and set things straight. We must stand up and apply the rod where it is suitable! Yes! You heard me - apply the rod! This is Nigeria!

The current age of that child is key to what and who the child would become in the future. Please do not waste these formative years of your child. Please.

Teach them morality!
Make them understand the beauty of covering themselves up!
Expose them to the values they should place on their bodies.
Tell them about the good but less travelled path!
Above all, lead them to Christ!
And no matter what happens, no matter what age that child has attained, never stop praying for him/her!

God help us all!

I call you blessed beyond measure! This month of September is declared a Month of Divine Remembrance for you and yours! This day, receive a delivery of all God has ever promised you in Jesus Name! Amen.

Have there been times in the past when you try to figure out how the future will play out? We try to think through where we will be in the next 2 years, who we will be with, what we will be doing et cetera. We exasperate ourselves worrying about the future that we fail to see the beauty in the present.

Funny enough, the things you worried about last year happened without any special intervention or input from you!

"Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink..." Matthew 6:25 KJV.

Worrying about tomorrow takes our mind and trust off God. In simple terms, it is a sin to worry!

It is good to set goals and plans in the short, mid and long term ranges, but let it end at this. Never start worrying about how these plans will turn out to the point of desperation and frustration!

Today is a gift. Tomorrow is a promise. Never worry so much about the promise that you end up not enjoying the gift!

Please do not loose your sleep over a situation that is totally outside your control. Truth is, I am yet to see a man who as a result of worrying became taller than he initially was!

If you can change that situation, then why worry? And if you cannot change it, why worry?? In mathematical terms, worrying plus worrying would always equal to zero!

"Put God in charge of your work, then what you have planned will take place." Proverbs 16:3 MSG.

And while you are at it, be consistent. Work hard and smart. Give it your all. Trust God totally. Be committed to obey divine instructions. Be open to new ideas. Be patient. Pay the sacrifice needed today; but do not let the price you pay for your future goals be your peace of mind today!

I call you blessed always! God's grace will speak for you now and forevermore! His divine instruction and direction will be available for you at every point of your endeavour this week and beyond! Amen!

Just recently I know of a brother who got an offer with a firm bigger than where he works currently. The pay was better, it was a middle management position and the location seems enticing as well but he had to decline this particular offer. It was good but not his!
In life you must understand that not all good things will work for you. Not all locations will make you thrive. Not all offers will benefit you on the long run. Not all connections will lead you to your desired destiny. To some of these, you must learn to say NO!


Do you realise that the tree of good and evil was placed in the garden of Eden by God? That tree was good! God knew it, the devil knew it and even Adam and his wife knew it too! But that good tree was not meant for them!

There is an understanding you must get if you must become exceedingly great in life and remain in God's purpose for you. Not all seemingly good opinion, offers and choices will work for you. To others they might just be great, but for you they will be catastrophic!

Understand who you are. Understand where you are headed. Stop living someone else's plan! What works for 'Aki' just might not work for 'Pawpaw'!

Stop taking decisions by sheer feelings and emotions. Don't go into that business venture cos everyone else is doing it. Don't get married cos all your peers are getting married. You are different. Your timing is not the same as others. Your shinning is different. Your past is not the same as your friend's, so is your present and future!

Beloved trust God for directions always. Have mentor(s) over your life that can pray with you, counsel and guide you accordingly before strategic decisions are taken. Ultimately the decision(s) is yours to take. God will not force you. Mentors won't force you either. Test all spirits. Test all decisions. Test all openings. Test all offers. It might seem good but it may definitely not for you!!

I was seeing a football match this past weekend and guess what, my favourite team lost!

OK. This is not the point I want to drive at. You see, in life I have learnt that those who aspire to become great, must at one point or another encounter a lose. There will arise a time when it all doesn't go according to plans, where the most thought out plan fails for just no reason! This is a norm in life. Infact in Engineering we were told to expect the best but plan for the worse!

Life will always definitely throw some bad moments at you. Times when you will get confused at how it can all go bad. No hope. No possible way to savage the situation. It will keep going down the drain, and you still can't fathom a way to make it stop.

Don't be discouraged at this my friend. It is a normal in life. The choice now belongs to you, you can either take that lemon life throws at you, make a lemonade out of it and eat the lemon peel knowing it is truly medicinal or just sit down on the floor crying nwwii nwwii nwiiee!

Take that negative situation, filter it, sort out the positives, and move on! Even if there are no positives in it, at least now you can come out stronger, better and even more determined.

It's totally OK to loose. Only be sure that when it is been said that you lost at any time, they will add that you gave it your all!

The only challenge I have with my players on this occasion was that they were totally confused, lacked communication on the field of play, and allowed a fairly average team to humiliate them! Don't be like my team.

Plan for the best. Give your all to it. Fight with all you have! Pour out your spirit, mind and strength into that venture. Keep fighting till the very end! And when it all doesn't work out, pick yourself up, dust off the dirt, say 'Thank You God', and move on!

I call you blessed. God's favour and mercy will shine on you and help you in this week and beyond. God will grant you ideas that will make you triumph over the challenges and difficulties of life in Jesus name. Amen.

Akpan is a young man in his 40s who has come to the point of suicide! He has wasted his life on drugs, alcohol and women! Presently, he has nothing! He cannot even afford a meal in a day at the moment. His wife has returned to her parent's house alongside his two kids. He even tried stealing, but was caught and beaten to a stupor in his first attempt!

What kind of life is this? How do I move on? Everyone of my peers are doing so well in life! Ubong turned me down the last time I went to ask him for help! I truly cannot blame him, this is the umpteenth time he will be helping me! Which way do I turn? Would it not be better if I just die? If I just end my life now and stop being a burden on everyone?

Friend, your present condition may be like that of Akpan, or even worse! You might have gotten to the point where you contemplate taking your own life. Maybe you have even bought some drugs that will make it easy for you to die. It may even seem there is no way out! No one to help! No one cares! No one notices you at all!

Dear one, God loves you! His love for you is an excessive and reckless love! He cares for you unconditionally - no strings attached!
Some how, deep down, you know this! You know God loves you. You can't explain it, but you know He wants the best for you!

Beloved, no matter how messed up your life is, God can turn that situation into a message for the whole world to listen to! No matter how deep you have fallen, God can still cause you to rise. In hopelessness, He is your Hope! He specializes in giving Help to the helpless!

God's specialty is finding the lost. To those who have no way out, He becomes the Way! To those whose lives are a lie, He is the Truth! To those who want to just die and leave this earth, He becomes the Life! You just can't escape His love!

Your condition cannot be so worse that He cannot handle. No matter how deep you have gone into sin, He sure will find and bring you out. You cannot run away from His love, no matter how hard you try!

Do not give up friend! Help is here! God is sending this post your way to let you know He cares. Your earthly parents and family members might abandon you, but He won't! He will turn the tide for your good! He will turn that situation around for your favour. He will grant you victory in all! He will restore your lost years! He loves you recklessly!

This is a must read!

I was seeing a movie earlier this week - Shaolin Soccer. It has been years back since I last saw it but at this time a scene caught my attention! You remember when they had their first match and rushed into the pitch only to find the stadium empty? The captain of the team kept being happy! The janitors on duty tried all they could to make them keep mute but they just silently hailed themselves!

Someone once said that in life no one wants you to be better than them. Maybe, aside just your parents and spouse! One desire common to all humans is to be on top; to be the best and to be the first! Hence, it is an error to expect your motivations to come from others.

Waiting for encouragement from others most of the time can lead to wasting one's time and life. He who waits on man wastes! A man who will not first be his number one fan may not go so far in life.

Why wait for people's approval before you embark on that desire of yours? Why do you keep expecting that others will cheer you up in that pursuit of yours?

Naturally, men don't celebrate or appreciate the 'process'. If you do not become successful at what you do, there is little or no chance anyone will hear about the process.

Every successful man you see today had some failure points in the past; if they had waited for cheers from friends and family most likely we won't know about them today!

Be your own cheerleader! Be your own fan! Don't allow your 'process' to be boring! Spice it up! Entertain yourself! Tell yourself that you're the best! Never allow wailers deter you from attaining that desired height!

Know where you are headed! If they associate with you now, good for them! Otherwise, they will have to pay, fill forms and/or wait in the queue to shake your hands just once!

Tell yourself today: "I am important. I will succeed. It will get better. I am the best at what I do. My past failures are only learning points and I am coming out better"!

Her Royal Sweetness was explaining a scenario in the Bible to me over the week and something struck me; it was the story of David after he returned back from where he had gone to burn down Ziklag only to discover that the Amalekites had taken the women and children they left behind including their goods and animals.

This was a traumatising experience for David as both his wives were taken alongside other captives. It got worse when his men spoke of stoning him! The same men he fought alongside with started talking about killing him.

David's actions inspite of all these brings my wandering mind to a halt!

He 'prayed' - turned to God and enquired if he should pursue the enemies that had wrecked so much havoc! After getting confirmation from God he 'pursued'.

Even when they had gone really far and some of his men couldn't continue, he left them behind and went on with the guys who still had strength! That is 'perseverance'. Pushing on inspite of. He choose not to stop. He choose not to delegate this time. He knew it is not enough to stop at praying. He pushed forward. When the going got tough, he persevered!

Beloved, what endeavor are you into now that it seems like your only option is to give up? Even when it is clear God is permitting you, the challenges you have encountered have been intense. Friends and family that should be standing by you are the ones discouraging you, passing comments and other non verbal messages to you.

They tell you that you will die trying to achieve that dream. They even tell you that you have lost so much years and now age is not on your side any longer. They say most people who have tried it before have failed and that your goal is an exercise in futility. Some even say that your mates/peers have gone far ahead of you, and there is totally no need trying.

I've got good news for you my friend.
Choose not to believe them please.
Pray about it.
Strategically plan to achieve it.
Set short, mid and long term goals.
Review your plans routinely, and make corrections where necessary.
Persevere until you smash that record and break the tables you see there!

Never allow anyone discourage you. If you have failed before, that is the most reason why you have to try again. Men don't celebrate people who failed, neither do they celebrate people who tried, they only celebrate those who succeed. So keep trying until you succeed.

You can achieve it. You will achieve it. God has given you everything you need to win. I believe in you! Do you believe in yourself?

I call you blessed forevermore. This week you will flourish on all sides. The Rock of Ages will stand by you and grant you an all-round victory. Soar. Flourish.
