Good morning good people of Nairaland. Please I need your input on this.


I have a friend that recently got married to a young beautiful lady from Thailand. She came to Nigeria, they got married and after everything they both traveled to Thailand .

Now, his wife wants him to forfeit his Nigerian passport to gain Thailand passport since they don’t allow dua citizenship. I adviced him to go ahead with the Thailand passport since this could be once in a lifetime opportunity because he was really contemplating on weather it’s a good idea or not.

Pls travel gurus and experts. What’s your take on this?
Is this move a good idea? Would it affect him in the future? Please advice from travel experts and experienced folks will be deeply appreciated

✔ When they were selling crude oil at $140 per barrel and yet couldn't pay workers for upwards of 14 months, where was your revolution?

✔ When our health institutions went comatose, and doctors, nurses and other medical workers were always on strike, where was your revolution?

✔ When ASUU strikes lasted up to 9 months nonstop to over 14 months sometimes, there was no revolution from you! Why?

✔ When Nigeria Airways staff were dying due to nonpayment of their benefits for over 20 years, where was your revolution?

✔ When the 2nd Niger Bridge was commissioned on mere paper twice but which tens of billions of naira was looted and squandered in its name, where was your revolution?

✔ When our railways were left dead and rusty, and our roads across the country were abandoned such that they became huge craters and hundreds of billions of naira were being looted annually in the name of building new ones, where was your revolution?

✔ When stealing was not corruption, and was effectively legalised to the point that it was a crime to be honest in any office in Nigeria between 1999 and 2015, where was your revolution?

✔ When poverty reached an all-time high of 112 million people in 2012 and 130 million in 2013 according to World Bank data, where was your revolution? It is when the figure has reduced to 88 million people in 2018, according to the same World Bank, that you are talking of revolution?

Where was your revolution at that time?

Who the hell do you think you are to think we will let you railroad us back to the rape and plunder of our beloved country in the name of a wacky revolution?

You need to change your mindset. That they contributed to bringing him into power does not mean that they should not complain when he's doing something wrong. nobody thought buhari was going to be a catastrophe back in 2015. We all thought changing the incumbent was the problem,but over the years results have show us that despite the change in leaders, the country has been getting worse. Therefore the problem is with the current Nigerian system that produce the leaders.

The question is,how could a supposed sane Nigerian imagine a fanatic and religious and ethnic bigot like buhari was gonna make a good president!!!!!
