good evening everyone, please any returning students in the house as I need clarification on an issue. I have a brother that got admitted to art department, he called today telling me he's not allowed into lecture room or submit his assignments (sculpture) because he has no materials. he said he got from people that are willing to lend him yet his lecturers didn't allowed them to use them. so he's unable to attend lectures. my question is, is this a norm there that compulsorily you must have your own materials even when you have someone that is ready to give or am I missing something here. please help an old school out |

There is a probability that the building was once used for school and later converted to residence and painting might be a waste of their money. Anything is possible in our beautiful country. |

Family / Re: Nigerians On Twitter Recount Worst Beating Parents Ever Gave Them by helen4(f): 10:45pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
The last beating I received from my dad was when I was in jss, it was Sunday morning as usual and time to go to church. Everyone was busy getting ready and I didn't bulge, mum shouted severally but for my mind nothing will move me. After so much shouting from my mum, my dad came out and asked me to go and get ready else there'll be trouble still I remained adamant. Few minutes later I saw my dad going for something like belt and I was ready to run, when he turned around and I saw what he was holding, I took to my heel and my dad was seriously chasing me down the street. I ran into the bush thinking I've escaped but he followed me and my beating tripled with bruises from thorns and belt. That was the comedy of the season in my street for a very long time. 4 Likes |
Health / Re: HC Asks Doctors To Write Legible Prescriptions by helen4(f): 9:12am On Jan 10, 2017 |
This law should be passed in Nigeria as well. You hardly see what some doctors write and when you asked they tell you to just give it to the pharmacist. I strongly believe that patients have the right to know what is being administered to them. Some will even conduct an examination on you and they will communicate with their paper rather than the patients. things really need to be set right in this country. |

Nigerians and our ways of reasoning. what has mmm got to do with Christianity. MMM OR NOT SOME WILL NOT SMELL HEAVEN. If you're not into it, don't discourage others. Let everyone experience whatever they want to experience. Experience they say, teaches the best. |
