Well, that depends on you because if you have other people depending on you like siblings then you'll have to do the math well. You can't give out everything and remain stranded as a man for a whole month before another one comes in.
What do you want to give her for home maintainance?
What do you want to give out to parent or siblings?, (if you have those that are depending on you)
What do you want to save?
What do you want to keep for yourself?
E.g
My hubby gives me what he can afford every month and I shop for food stuffs and home essentials with all the money, so that it'll last us a month. So, whatever needs arises that needs little money here and there I sort that out from my salary.
It's a matter of choice and insight.
