If it's an animal, then maybe a dog? |
James4358:I guess We're partners then. Thought I was the only one left out. |
One of the panelists screamed at me. |
thesilentman:Have you ever thought of what she's going through mentally? Is she sound emotionally? Do you know some women go into post partum depression? Is she having enough support at home regarding nursing the baby? Before you conclude that she's going haywire, think properly sir. All she may need is extra hands to support her, Someone tell her that she's doing great regardless. Nursing a baby can be overwhelming sir. Please stay calm and support your wife. There's no perfect woman or home anywhere. Work with what you have to get what you want. |
IyaTola:Yes please. I started from there. |
lavylilly:yes please |
Rekhina:What exactly are you saying? What's the correlation between my comment and politics. What hate? Check the mirror babe. You're steaming of it. |
ghettochild:Thank you so much. I am thinking in that direction too. |

Even when you have the opportunity to get to an interview, the level of disrespect is so much in teaching profession. So, 2021 December I and the kids relocated to hubby's at Abeokuta. Initially I was against it because that means leaving my stable job to an unknown. After series of arguments, I gave in. Hmm, long story short I have been jobless since then. Why? No job in Abeokuta and if you manage to get any, the pay is ridiculous. Last week I went for two interviews spending 1k each for tfare alone. The money quoted was 30k gross pay. Right now I am open to factory work self. What is the essence of years of experience and the certificate one owns if they can't fetch me money. |
So many of such children will be out there without knowing their root. |
This is unprofessional and unethical. How can a sane human being call a child something else aside human being. It is wrong to call a child names not to talk of equating the child to animals or inanimate objects. See, teaching profession is not for everyone. If you can't unlearn and relearn all these old ways of teaching and running schools I bet there won't be any left. That is why new generation schools spring forth here and there in the name of Montessori and guess what? They're making their money because CHILD PROTECTION POLICY is in place. You can handle anyone's child the way you like. TEACHERS WAKE UP!!!! BE PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!. This is verbal abuse biko. |
Be proud of how far you've come! Happy New Year....

“This is called ‘Foodscaping’ in Geneva, Switzerland. Each yard is a vegetable garden and neighbors consult and plan what each will grow so they can trade. Imagine if we do this everywhere.

In the rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), corpses are being transported to or from the morgue on motorcycles. Since many can’t afford paying a car to transport the dead person’s body back to his village for proper burial, many end up by hiring a motorcycle to do the job. The bikers must move to a distance of nearly 400 km, with a corpse on the back. Some poor families are forced to adopt this technique. The lifeless body is wrapped in a blanket, supported on both sides by tree branches attached to a motorcycle. This is how “boda boda” riders in parts of rural DR Congo transport corpse to and from the mortuary. In the rural areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), corpses are being transported to or from the morgue on motorcycles. During the filming of The Passion of the Christ, Jim Caviezel (playing Jesus) lost 45 pounds, was struck by lightning, accidentally scourged with a whip twice, leaving a 14-inch scar, had his shoulder dislocated, and suffered from pneumonia and hypothermia from hanging mostly naked on a cross for several hours outside. His body was so stressed and exhausted from playing the role that he had to have 2 open heart surgeries after the production! The crucifixion scene alone took 5 weeks of the 2-month filming time. The Passion of the Christ is the highest-grossing rated-R movie in the US, of all time, at $370.8M! Worldwide it grossed $611M. Most importantly, it reached many souls around the world. Mel Gibson paid $30M out of his own pocket for the production because no studio would take on the project, and Jim Caviezel was warned not to take the role of Jesus because it would ruin his career. Today is Jim Caviezel’s birthday, and he’s 51 years old. He proudly proclaims his faith in Christ amidst the godlessness of Hollywood. Thank God for people like him who will step out to do what might not sound “fun”, but it gets out the Word of God and the story of His salvation of mankind. Happy birthday, Jim Caviezel! #career #project #people #happybirthday #passionofchrist #christmas2021

FriendsAndFans:Am happy for you. It's not easy letting go of some things. |
Someone somewhere will say, I didn't achieve my aim this year. My wishlist is laying fallow. I can't count anything I've realized this year that is good. Am tired, am fed up. Nothing good is coming my way. Shhhhhhhhhhh! Guess what? Your greatest achievement is the life in you. Once there's life, there's hope. What you want to achieve might be delayed but you'll get there. Don't be too big to be grateful for that which you have. What are you grateful for? Say it out, say it loud.

Your mental health and sound mind is your priority. Your happiness matters the most. Cut off all dangling excesses that makes you unhappy. I remember I was bitter with my aunt for years and whenever I heard her voice or even her name my heart and pulse race and I get angry all over again. My ex fiance got another lady pregnant while I was I school thanks to my aunt. She made sure my relationship never succeeded ( story for another day). I had resentment towards for years until I got married. One day I sat down and asked myself, does it worth it? If he had not cheated on me with the help of my aunt I wouldn't have been beautifully married for ten years to my husband. I would have been stuck with a cheat and a liar. So one day, I went to her mall and told her why I was not happy with her and told her, I forgave her. So, somethings happen for a greater good. Forgive and set your mind free. Your mental health is too important.

Joke apart, discipline was a community thing. A stranger on the street will correct you for misbehaving, but now, we 21st century parents believe whoever corrects our child is their enemy. Where did we miss it? It started from, I don't want my child to experience what I experience. A lot of these kids nowadays are emotionally reckless. They don't know what values are, no emphaty, nothing, ungrateful and filled with entitlement mentality. As a teacher, I've seen too much rot to last a lifetime. |
