Hello Guys,

Please I need advice on this forum.

I just completed my MSc program in the UK and my wife was offered a 3-year COS in her workplace. Tho she has a Canadian student visa she is meant to travel to Canada this September for her studies(Medical Biotechnology). I have been granted an open work permit too.

We are very confused as to travel to Canada or whether we should stay back in the UK.

No kids yet but she is 2 weeks pregnant.

No one can advise you. This is a decision you have to take yourself through the help of the holy spirit ( if you are a Christian). Both countries are great. Start with why you want to move to Canada? Why the need to start all over again? If your wife moves to Canada on a study permit, you move with her as a visitor and not through sowp. Changing your status from visitor to work permit isn't as easy as you think. I have friends who tried and left because they couldn't and won't settle as Refugee...( probably through the new pilot program announced recently it could be achievable but we don't have all the info yet and it hasn't begun). My point is figure out why you want to move to Canada when you already have a status in the UK. Your wife works for 5 years in the UK and she qualifies for an indefinite leave to remain. Also, a lot of people move to Canada and still do not have good jobs even after years. In addition, some have been in Canada for over 5years and still do not have PR.
Again.. No one can advise you. Allow God make the decision for you. You need to be in a place where you would prosper.

Guys, my sister in-law completed her biometrics on the 14th of June. Today she received an email from Tls to pick up her passport. This was the only email she received.

To add.. my cousins are doing well, done with school and working for the NHS. They were sponsored by nhs..

To anyone that wants japa, do not let these talkatives advise you wrongly especially when Nigeria has failed you. If UK isn't working for you, it's OK to move to another country until you find your ground.

Why should you have a problem with people travelling to the UK? Why shouldit bother you? Some people have the funds to cover their tuition. UK international students make a lot of noise on social media. Do you think it's only in the UK they deport people? Even if they deport people it's still not the end of the world.

Now it will shock you know I was deported from the UK in 2012, got a 5years ban afterwards. I still worked In Nigeria in the oil and gas industry, moved to Canada and became a PR last year. In that same UK, my 3 sisters are British citizens and prospering like crazy. I am doing very well in Canada. I have also sent my cousins over and my sister inlaw will be going next.
Speak of the positives and enough of your Negative views. Honestly I speak the mind of alot of people saying to shut up. We've had enough. This group helped me in processing my cousins application to the UK. Let's stick to what the thread/forum is for.

We all know what's happening in the news, we all know the updates. Jeez we all freaking know but they choose to travel to UK and leave them.. Keep your freaking advises to yourselves for crying out loud. The same way people get deported also people are making it.. This is group is not for discussions like this alright this is for visa questions/enquiries.. if you want to advise as I have stated here before, go create your a thread that says advises for people coming to UK.. no one needs your freaking advise.. If u av free accommodation and feeding is sorted out and u av like 70 percent of the fee already...

All that is being said is Don't bank on 20 hours work limit to pay rent and like 60/70 percent of the fee.

My sister-in-law paid for the prime time appointment for biometrics yesterday which was a 107,000naira on the Tlc Contact website. She was thinking she was going to be asked to also pay £76 for her biometrics but that didn't show up. She booked her appointment for friday and paid just the 107k.
She couldn't find any Contact Information of tlc contact online to call them for an inquiry.

Please your advise on this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Better do a thorough risk assessment and know what you are getting yourself into. Can you survive without getting a job?!

Jeez, if you don't have an answer to his question don't reply. This forum is for UK visa inquiries, go open another forum "why you shouldn't come to the UK" and pour out your frustrations there. He isn't using your money for his Japa process.
We all read the news, people have family and friends who give them updates about UK and still people japa and still make it over there. If UK doesn't favor you, we have people who relocate to other countries or return back to NIgeria. If one gets deported...so what? How is it your business? If he struggles over there, e concern you? Save your advices for your family members who are in need of it. In the meantime, allow people who have concerns about their visa issues to get comfortable posting on this thread and people who have genuine answers can answer. This is what the thread is for. You have probably gotten your visa and have traveled and I'm sure people assisted you when you had questions.

Please house good day. Please I need your advice. I lied to my school I have never been refused visa. I have been to the UK 4 times on four different visa ( visiting visa). The 5th time I applied I was refused visiting visa and now I Want to go through study route.
I got offer letter from the school already and I have paid my deposit. I have not yet received my CAS, the CAS shield is not yet opened for my batch.
My question is this, will my CAS state I have never been refused visa to the embassy?

I was asked to make deposit of 5k which I have and I have to show bank statement.
My question is , I have 10m right now in my account to show which have stayed in my account more than a month. Will the 10m be enough to get my CAS?
I am aware I need up too 18m for everything which I am still working on.
Also not my deposit of 5,000pounds is already separated from the 10m. Please help

Firstly , make sure you declare the previous refusal on your application.
Additionally , your POF is measurable , it's not just a figure you come up with arbitarily , your tuition balance + maintenance requirement = POF
if your school is in London, your maintenance will be 12008 GBP
if your school is outside London, your maintenance is 9207 GBP

so use that to compute your POF , then adda buffer for currency fluctuations .

Then for your funds evidence , you would most likely not be asked to provide that , then you can keep the accout active with regular transactions.

Please I was refused visiting visa to th UK November last year due to extra credit apart from my salary. And now, I want to go through school. My school is estimated around 12,000pounds and i Intend paying 70% fee. Is it Okay to show a 10m pof?
Secondly, if I am showing a bank statement of one month, should the statement show active withdrawal?
Can I also declare my inlwas was the one that gifted me the 10m ( I will also attach deed of gift and affidavit of return. Please help

You comfused them with the sponsorship,
your sponsor wasn't clearly defined and this agent should have known this. All in the name of giving them documents you complicated yourself.
Your husband is your sponsor and not your sister so why submit the mentioned documents? The only thing you needed to show was that you have family in Canada and these families have a legit stay in the country simple..
You shouldn't have mentioned you were going to stay with her and the rest. I think the agent you used doesn't know anything sorry to say. I won't advise a judicial review, you made some mistakes.
Apply again and this time be clear and precised, do not confuse the visa officer. You will get it within 2 weeks if you do it right.

Hi everyone I am new to this post but came across while researching.

I received a visa denial from IRCC yesterday morning. Application was submitted May 28th and biometrics was given 8th of June and rejection received 13th of June.

The reasons cited were
i) significant family ties in canada (my sister and her husband and kids are permanent residents in canada for 2 years. However the rest of my family is here in Nigeria. I submitted her bank statements and reference letter from work as I will be staying with her. She owns her own home and has a very good income. I will also be going without my husband and 14 months old son which I believe are ties to Nigeria. Including my brothers and parents (my mum has a Canadian TRV)

ii) your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel. (This i couldn’t understand as my bank statement submitted has a closing balance of a little 29 million Naira with school fees for the first session fully paid. My course is a one year course in digital health as I am an healthcare worker. I also submitted by husbands bank statements and reference letters from work for both of us.

I used an IRCC registered agent who is also quite upset at the visa application result and is advising we request a judicial review. I will really appreciate your advice as I am quite confused. I have ordered my GCMS notes as of this morning. But would really appreciate any insights of anyone has experience this and how they overturned it. Thank you.

I disagree with you on this. My younger brother just got his study visa approved recently, do note that I am currently in Canada with my husband and I came with a study permit and now on pgwp and it was stated in my brother's application. He clearly stated this in his application "that I and my husband were his only family in Canada"

Buh the main issue is the ties you’ve in canada.
If you hv made enough research or watch u tube videos even in nairaland ,you shldnt hv even pointed out you have sister in canada,that is shooting yourself in the foot.

Thirdly many agents are just thrash, mine was directly responsible for my first denial! He just did nonsense sop and document and submitted!

Second time i used my hand and made research and did the second application without gcm note and still got!

I completed my MSc April 2023 here in Canada, and received my PGWP through flagpoling along with my husband.

My brother made up his mind to come to Canada for study and requested my husband's assistance for sponsorship.

I assisted with his application and below his timeline:

Sponsor: brother in law
Application submitted: May 13th 2023
Medical Request: May 24th 2023
Medical done: May 29th 2023
Medical passed: June 2nd 2023
Correspondence letter and Ppr dropped today June 5th.

Hello everyone, please I really need your advises on this application.

I applied for study visa 4days ago so yesterday I discovered that we are not supposed to use the online bank statement instead we should request the official bank statement with reference letter from the bank and also noticed we made mistakes in some places

So requested the application to be withdrawn yesterday which will take 28days to be processed.

Now we already got the official bank statement with stamps and reference letter from bank, so now my questions is can I submit a new application while the previous one is still processing to be withdrawn.

Send them an email (your desired medical physician iom or qlife) let them know you have been requested by ircc to do medicals.
They will schedule you for a closer date. For me i prefer IOM. They usually give a much closer date.

I made application on behalf of my sister 2 year old daughter. Decision was supposed to come last week friday but never came. I contacted UKVI on moday and they reply to me on tuesday saying ‘All actions on your application is now complete and you case is closed’. I replied and told them I am yet to receive any update about the application. They told me to wait 10 working day for VAC to contact me. Today I received an email from UKVI saying ‘ I can confirm that your application is void and your passport will be send to you immediately.
