PoliticsInterview Of Loius Farrakhan By Mike Wallace In 2000 by henrijin(op): 6:28am On Nov 15, 2014
Wallace: Farrakhan, you go to Nigeria. Which is, if not the most corrupt nation in Africa that it is. It could be the most corrupt nation in the world. Minister Farrakhan...

Farrakhan: Oh now Mr Wallace...

Wallace: It is the most corrupt nation that I have ever covered. I've been there 25years ago and I've been there as recently as last year.

Farrakhan: Fine. So what?! 35years old. That's what that nation is. Now here's America, 226years old. You love democracy? But there in Africa, you tryna force these people into a system of government that you just have accepted 30years ago. Black folk gat the right to vote. You not in any moral position to tell anybody how corrupt they are. You should be quiet. And let those of us who know our people go there and help them get out of that condition. But America should keep her mouth shut wherever there's a corrupt regime. As much hell as America has raised on the earth. No! I will not allow America or you Mr Wallace to condemn them as the most corrupt nation on earth. When you have spilled the blood of human beings. Have Nigeria dropped an atomic bomb and killed people in, in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Have they killed off millions of native Americans? How dare you put yourself in that position as a moral judge. I think you should keep quiet. because with that much blood on America's hand, you have no right to speak. I will speak, because I don't have that blood on my hand. Yes there's corruption there. Yes there's mismanagement of resources. Yes there is abuse. There is abuse in every nation on earth, including this one. So let's not play holy, to moralise on them. let's help them...

Wallace: I'm not moralising. I'm asking a question and I got an answer...

Farrakhan: why would you put it as the most corrupt regime in the world? That doesn't make sense.

Wallace: can you think of one more corrupt?

Farrakhan: yeah. I'm living in one. I'm living in one. Yeesss!. You've done a hell of a thing on this earth so you should not be the one to talk. You should be quiet when it comes to morale condemnation.

HealthHealthy Eating For Children by henrijin(op): 6:16am On Nov 14, 2014
Noodles: Indomie, Dangote, Golden penny, Chiki-Chiki etc all in the market for the mother who wants an easy way out to feed her children, two minutes its ready to eat, even adults too. Most mothers forget children in their formative years needs natural foods that would help the child develop properly and build up cells and tissues that would support its immune system and prevent cancer in future.

Noodles are basically carbohydrates with preservatives, addictive seasoning, that is why people are so addicted to the taste. Children like noodles because of the texture and flavour, very soft and easy to chew or swallow for them and most dont know the names of food. So if you ask "will you eat Indomie?", they'll nod or say yes. So why not replace it with ofada rice or even the regular parboiled imported rice. Give children well cooked food make it very soft and add lots of cray fish or prawn that is the secret! if it's rice, beans, yam, make it very, very soft. Blend lots of crayfish, onions and a little pepper together. When food is too complicated children play with it and drop it so make it simple. Make it porridge instead. Eat with your children they are encouraged when they watch you eat especially the lazy eaters.

Avoid artificial foods the leading cause of obesity, cancer and all sorts of ailment without cure but respond to healthy diet.

SportsRe: Did Messi Deserve The World Cup Golden Ball? by henrijin: 7:34am On Jul 14, 2014
Why do y'all think it is those who score that should be the best players? What about the DM who break the opposition's play, the CBs that block goal-bound shots or that last ditch tackle, that clearance away from goal; the GKs with all the saves. We are just too biased in our assessment of who should be the MVP. I was thinking Muller or Robben will get the award. But Messi was good too. Anybody that wins it, it does not stop us from eating gala and lacasera in hold up.
Nairaland GeneralRED Alert by henrijin(op): 11:11am On Jul 08, 2014
We are on the brim of a RED alert. Nigeria's life expectancy currently stands at 48yrs for male and 52yrs for female. The cause? Our lifestyle and hustle. How can this be curbed you ask? Just 3 basic things.

1. REST - A sound mind can only be efficient in a well rested body. For those of us who have a regular 8-5 job; we wake up 4am or 4.30am to prepare to leave the house for work and caught in traffic before we get to our places of work. We are up and down during work and don't even utilise the break time. We close
5pm or later. Stuck in traffic and we are home between 10pm and 12am. Even after we get home that late, we still want to catch that late night programme (sports, Telemundo, news, movies). And the cycle continues for 5days. Saturday, a work-free day is spent attending weddings and other social events. Sunday, we spend more than half of the day at places of worship and not forgetting vigils every Friday.

2. EXERCISE - We all know how to go about this. Light aerobics and stretches will do. I'm not saying you should jog from Agege to Ketu every morning and evening. Don't overdo it.

3. DIET - In this part of the Globe, we basically eat carbohydrates and protein no matter the form. Fruits and vegetable will to a very great extent balance our diet. Now you'll ask me, "how can I eat fruits and vegetables when they are so expensive?". If you can afford to buy enough fruits, please do. Another option is to take supplements to make up for the 'unconsumed' class of food. The problem with our fruits is that they are not in their natural state again. I know how lucky I was when I was in school and during NYSC (I pick well matured fruits from the ground of its tree to eat. I usually eat close to 20mangoes/day in its season when I was in school. No exageration here. There were mango trees and oranges everywhere you go). Those in the rural areas and anybody with a tree of fruit in his compound should be grateful. So we in the urban areas are left to the mercy of supplements (consult your physician for professional advice).

It is certain that if we can curb this "RED Alert", our life expectancy will improve and we can be more efficient in producing or rendering services to generate more wealth and ultimately improve the well-being of our great Nigeria.

Stay healthy.

BusinessRe: A Gift Of N3M Or A Job Of N75,000 Per Month: Chose One! by henrijin: 8:53am On Nov 28, 2013
3,000,000/75,000 = 40mths. So you'll work for 40mths before u earn 3m. There's still transport and lunch to spend from the 75k o. Unless the job is a job with constant runs where u can do runs that can give u at least 150k/mth, take the job. Or, if there's something u can do to multiply the 3m, take the 3m. Asides, who'll give this kinda offer?
