michlins:
it's not really that expensive if you factor in the current cost of materials and the value you are getting

Okay sir. Thanks sir. Sorry for the late response.
Etranshub:
depends on the type of handrail is it plasma screen of wroungt iron(imported)?

( A) If any of those two then it can cost that much. (B) if stainless, wrought iron (local), mild steel or galvanized steel pipes those are cheaper and can be between 18-25/sqm

Pic 1and 2 if for category A and Pic 3and 4 for category B

Good morning sir. Thanks for your response. Sorry for the late reply. Been away for a while. Yes, it is like this. However, I discovered that it is not a good idea that I should do it now. Instill have some more important things to do in the house. So I think I will pend it.

Wow, this is marvelous. Sorry for the late response. I never knew it is this expensive. my house needs 10 meters of this. I decided to pend it though because I still have some more important things to do in the house.

look at what I did for #40,000/meter for someone here. Right now it goes for #45,000/meter

Good morning, success-minded people.

Please I have some questions about handrails. Some gave me a quotation and said he will collect 40k per meter. The least he gave me was 30k per meter.

Is the handrail as expensive as that?

What do you suggest I do?

Please, how do they sell the handrail.

Also, I need a glass demacator in my bathroom, how much does it cost? It is just a single line that will demacate the shower from the wc.

I will appreciate your reply asap.

Thanks!

Hi Sirs and Mas,

Thank you for always helping me make the right decision. Your advice and suggestions have helped me a lot in my housing project.

I AM HERE AGAIN!

1. I need an advice of the right choice of doors. I like the interior doors I saw on Instagram sellers' pages (like Rahwood) but they are expensive for me. They sell around 70k to 100k per one. However, I don't know if I can get great doors (durable and beautiful) at the range of 30 to 50k per one. Even though I want affordable doors I still don't want to joke with aesthetic.

2. Can you recommend a great and affordable water closet product. Someone recommended sweet homes and it is 50k per one. Can I get something good and cheaper?

PLEASE I NEED A GENERAL ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS ABOUT THE INTERIOR DOORS AND TOILET ACCESSORIES.

Thanks in advance!

Goodwill has good 60*60 tiles that you can use. You can as well ask for Royal tiles.

Focusmind:
All Nigerian tiles are good. Just make proper enquiry. I was a pro Italian/Spanish tile before but the prices are on the high side and I needed to save money to do other things. I first bought a few Nigerian tiles to be used in the bathrooms and kitchen to see how it would look.

The tiler has completed the visitors toilets with the Nigerian Goodwill tiles and I am now constrained to use Nigerian made tiles 100% for the whole areas of the building. Attached is the first work did by the tiler (visitors toilet) using Nigerian tiles and it turned out good the way I wanted. I earlier wanted to use white Spanish wall tiles and brown wooden floor tiles. The Nigerian own still appeared ok.

If you are building on a budget, save yourself the stress and channel the extra fund to other things. Cement for the tiling is not smiling at the moment.

Hi guys,

Thanks for always helping out. I need your help again. My tiler gave me an estimate and suggested that I should use 60×60 Spain, Italian or CDK for the ante room, sitting room, and dining room. Then use Good wlll for other places in the house.

After making my findings I got to know that spain, Italian, and CDK are between 9k and 10k. This is expensive for me. Please, can you suggest the best Nigerian product with almost the same quality as those imported tiles that I can use and get at an affordable price?

Thanks!

Drive way can be interlocked, then other parts with the artificial
do you mean I don't need to floor other parts? I should just interlock the driveway and then spread the artificial grass on other parts without flooring it in as much as the compound is level.

Thank you for always answering my questions.

Please if I want to use artificial grass for the whole compound do I need to floor the compound. I need answers please.

Thanks

Tiling before door.

Yes, you can. You own the house and you’re at liberty to do whatever pleases you.

Both are good but they serve different purposes. If you’re like me who don’t have time to do lawn, I’d advice you stay with artificial grass.

It’s not easy maintaining a lawn. Not cheap either.
PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by henrymor: 11:56pm On Apr 05, 2021
Hi Fam,

Please, I need some information.

1. Is it tiling before doors or doors before tiling

2. I don't like flooring the whole compound. I love greenery. Can I floor the driveway alone and use artificial grass for the other places?

3. Which is better artificial or natural grass?

Thank you!

Yes sir!

The bricklayer said it use to remove if it is done after plastering l. He said if it is done before plastering, they will also use cement to hold it to the wall very well so that it won't fall off after some time.
megacontrol:
What's artwork? Window hood, belt etc.?

If yes, you should do plastering first then those right after in the same breadth. It just blends in together and comes out neater, plus i don't think the materials or cost is significantly different either ways you go.
PropertiesRe: General Topic Thread-To Discuss Anything And Everything in Building Construction by henrymor: 8:50am On Nov 24, 2020
Thanks for the response. The person that want to do it for me said it is better I do it after plastering so that it will be neat because if he do it before plastering, the bricklayers can stain it while plastering.
One4me:
Artwork first is better but if it is just the 'hanging' type, you can still do it afterwards.
You certainly dont want to mess-up your plaster work.
