Following the announcement of the newly approved wage of 33,000 naira for corp members by the Director General of the National youth service Corp - Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, corp members are set for a wind fall in terms of arrears.

Corp members in 2019 Batch A will earn as much as 118,800 in areas covering the period between April and December of 2019. Also their colleagues in 2019 Batch B stream 1 with earn an estimated amount of 105,200 within the period of June and December while those in Batch B stream 2 will look forward to receiving the sum of 66,000.

Also corp members in 2018 Batch B streams 1 and 2, and Batch C streams 1 and 2 are expected to earn 26,400, 39,600 and 79,200, 92,400 respectively.

‘Mad Oh’ a Nigerian phrase coined by rave and controversial singer Naira Marley, has been adopted into the [url=https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Mad%20Oh]Urban Dictionary[/url].

The phrase which was adopted in December 27th, 2019, was described as “An expression of surprise, shock or astonishment often caused by something unexpected or mind blowing. It can be used as an adjective in some cases.”

It went on to explain the dynamic ways the phrase could be used.

“Mad oh is very dynamic hence, it is also a valid/sarcastic reply to any statement whatsoever.

“In cases where you are tired of a conversation, Mad Oh will do a lot of good because of its conversation terminating abilities,” the dictionary explained.

The term has been widely accepted in parts of Nigeria and since the ‘creator’ Naira Marley, has a large fan base, it has been widely in use.

Recently, Nigeria hosted American rapper and superstar, Cardi B, who also used the phrase express herself.

A 500-Level Electrical Engineering student of the University of Port Harcourt, Prince Digbani has committed suicide shortly after announcing it via his WhatsApp story.

The deceased took the action in his room on Monday, after repeatedly complaining to friends about his lack of fulfillment in life. His friends said he had earlier told them of his intention and they strongly advised him against it.

They added that he went home to his off-campus apartment and by 3:51 pm on Monday, started updating suicidal posts on his Whatsapp story.
They said they called him severally but he refused to answer as his updates became more worrisome.
His co-tenants later broke his door and found him convulsing after taking a poisonous substance. He was then rushed to the Lulu-Briggs medical centre where he was pronounced dead.

Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky has responded to the viral prophecy of a female prophet, Dr Blessing Chidimma, that he would be struck with an incurable sickness if he doesn’t desist from his evil ways.
