Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy, was on Wednesday, November 20, officially named in the list of nominees for the 2020 Grammy Awards.

The Afrobeats star was nominated in the category alongside Altin Gün for Gece, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for What Heat, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D’Ayiti, and Angelique Kidjo for Celia.

Several celebrities including Davido, Wizkid, Teni, Falz, AKA amongst others have since taken to their official social media pages to congratulate Burna Boy.

However, in reaction to the news, a lady took to her account to say that his girlfriend Stefflon Don is the person behind the global recognition that Burna Boy now enjoys.

She tweeted:

Actor Mofe Duncan has warned Nigerians against being rude to entertainers. He went on to state that there is a “higher grace attached to” entertainers.

He called out people who derive joy in being rude to celebrities, adding that they have no idea what it’s like to walk in their shoes.

‘All you disrespectful lil shits that have no home training that feel that you can be rude to celebrities because you have the privilege of being on Instagram, una dey mad o! The month of November saw quiet a number of Nigerian celebrities visiting the City of Gold, Dubai, and even peppering their haters with beautiful photos and videos from the city.

Various Nigerian celebs visited the city for different reasons including attending the One Africa Fest as well as the Bamteddy wedding.

Well, two stars whose visit to the city caused a lot of stir are celebrity besties, Tonto Dikeh and Bobrisky. Their fun trip took another turn after Tonto was arrested in Dubai after she had an altercation with security personnel and hurled insulting words at them.

After the arrest was made, there were speculations were made that Tonto was deported from the city. Well, her best friend, Bobrisky posted a video of the actress to dispel the rumours. In the video, Tonto made sure to show that she is still in Dubai.
More details about Tonto’s detention has emerged after a close source to the actress revealed in an interview with Kemi Ashefon that the mother of one is still in Dubai.

According to the source, Bobrisky’s post about Tonto is just damage control to make fans think everything is well.

The source said:

“First, Tonto is not the type to use that kind of video to debunk allegations of detention and deportation. She would have used a more beautiful background wearing gorgeous clothes and displaying affluence. That was a damage control video she shared through Bobrisky. Tonto was looking like a tart! She wasn’t wearing make-up and looking like a prisoner in one small room! Anyways, in the video, there was no address about or her arrest. The Tonto we knew would have tore whoever wrote that story into shreds.”

Also, Bobrisky has now shared another video on his page showing Tonto Dikeh telling her fans to follow her new Instagram page, @king_wigocharity. The actress explained that her old account is fine but she left her password in her office in Nigeria and cannot access the page.
Kemi Ashefon’s source also commented on this. The source said:

“Who is fooling who? She said she is still in Dubai but her password is still in Africa! In this IT age? The video looks so stupid! Meanwhile, before the new page, she had posted many photos from Dubai on the old page @tontolet which has over 5million followers. It was on her old page she posted her ‘fake gift’ from Timi Frank. She even bought a new phone to run the new page! As a matter of fact, she removed the nylon seal from the cover of the phone!”

Speaking further on the actress, Kemi Ashefon’s source explained that after Tonto was arrested, her hotel room was searched and hard substances were found.

The source said:

“After her arrest and her hotel room was searched, they found out that she came to Dubai with hard drug*s which she must have been taking”

‘A Good Time‘ album by Davido is just a few days away from official release. It has been 7 years since the Sony Music act dropped his debut album in 2012.

After a long waited the album is ready for release. As part of the roll out proceeding, the tracklist for ‘A Good Time’ album has been released.

The album will have 17 tracks including previously released singles like ‘Risky’, ‘Fall’, ‘If’ and ‘Blow My Mind’. Some of the artistes featured in the album are Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Gunna, Dremo, Yonda etc.

As already stated, the album will be out on November 22.

Tonto Dikeh visit to Dubai has been cut short after she was deported from the city Amebo9ja Reports

Report emanating from Dubai has it that Tonto Dikeh has been deported after she got into a brouhaha with a security guard because she was denied entry into “One Music Fest” event centre.

According to multiple sources, Tonto Dikeh arrived the event alongside Bobrisky and the security guard refused to grant her entrance.

The actress who was allegedly inebriated and intoxicated on an unknown substance attacked the guard and the brouhaha escalated.

Police intervened and she was whisked away to an unknown location.
She’s currently in a plane heading to Nigeria as at the time of publication. Her bestfriend, Bobrisky refused to follow her and she’s remaining in Dubai.
There are reports that Bobrisky has refused to follow her bestie back to Nigeria.

Nollywood actress and mother of one, Tonto Dikeh is alleged to be facing deportation from Dubai after she was involved in a heated in fight.

According to report, the actress was involved in an altercation with a security guard after she was denied entry into an event.

On Friday night (November 15th) at an event in a hotel in Dubai,Instagram drama queen Tonto got into an exchange of words with the security at the entrance and before anyone could say Jack,the brouhaha had escalated into one which involved the Police and arrests being made…
According to sources ,Tonto arrived the venue of the event and the security refused to allow her in while others walked pass her into the event ..Tonto got upset and the sources who say she appeared high on something launched a verbal attack on the security guard and her two friends Timi and Bob shifted to the side when they could not stop her or control her….

She is quoted to have called the white security guard a ”Nigga” while yelling and cursing and asking him if he knows who she is………”Do you know who i am?

When it got out of hand the Police was called in and she was taken away…….

Nigerian singer Tuface has reacted to Blackface’s continuous threat of suing him on air and via social media.

The ex-band member of defunct Plantashun Boiz who is celebrating his 20 years on stage anniversary alleged that what Blackface has done so far is to engage in a smear campaign.

Tuface told The Sun that his former bandmate has a problem but no one knows what the problem is.

He said

“Let me put it like this, you just go on air and start spinning lies. I have never said or done anything bad to Blackface, but he just goes on air and starts lying all the time because he wants to spread hate. It is a smear campaign.

“He keeps saying he is going to sue me, so I am saying sue me! You know say I no thief your song, you just want people to hate me. Stop the nonsense. Anytime he comes on air, ask him ‘wetin im do wey make me sue am? Ask am whether I no write am letter before say guy stop this thing, I did not steal your song’. What have I done to him? He just hates me. It has become an obsession and it is not healthy for him anymore and there is nothing I can say or do to help his dilemma, so I don’t know. It is not like I am giving up, but it is all up to him now. He has to free himself from that bondage.
“Everyday, he keeps digging himself into this mess and now he has kids growing up. It is unfortunate. Before, I was quiet but he is always blabbing.
