You are right the Germans lack physical presence in midfield, Kroos and Gundogan are not the type of players you play against the midfield pairing of Kante and Pogba. I would drop either of Havertz or Muller and include Neuhaus to balance the midfield, and also use Sane in the left half-space to run at Pavard who is not pact.

You are forgetting kimmich is there, he is the hidden DM and also RWB for the team. Havertz is a midfielder as well same with muller so the team is balance.
