He has never won any meaningful trophy on the field
No CL, on the field no world cup no Euro
So the only consolation he had was team of something You are just a troll though. |

raumdeuter: Flop get level. Rooney didnt play up to potential, But Terry played up to his ability as a useless carry-on player who has been useless at every big stage and finally threw away the trophy Terry played well. Penalty kick is 50-50, cr7 missed too. Your opinion about Terry doesn't count. Someone FIFA and UEFA recognized personally. Only English media overrate their own and it end there. |

Its only losers that depend on such acknowledgement. Football is played on the field not on the lips of players or in the polling booth. Terry is the most useless player when it comes to winning on the field
Ronaldinho will point to 2006 CL final, SHevchenko will point to 2003 CL final, Rooney will point to 2008 CL as stages they performed in a final
When they ask Terry show us your performance in a major final he will say Ask Ronaldinho, SHevy and Rooney? what a tool Rooney was even flop in that Ucl game vs Chelsea |

dmcdad: Goals + assists stats, yes!
Any other stat, Iniesta trumps him. Besides, Iniesta has scored more vital goals than Lampard. #Fact. Dribbles, chances created, ball control, out of this world movement on and off the ball, absorption of pressure, big-game / big-stage player, individual brilliance, mesmerising and spellbounding performances, and so on...
No player has won MOTM award in Champions League finals like The Illusionista. Coupled with winning it in Euro final and World Cup final. Haba mana... Make we see true talk na. What more can you ask for? You don't win MOTM awards just like that without performing moments of magic and wizardry.
I rest my case. In football world today, there is absolutely no way Lampard would be regarded greater than The Illusionista. Never!
Meanwhile, I am not part of iniesta vs Lampard argument my problem is you guys double standard. When it comes to hazard vs Neymar goals and asssist are the only thing you guys regard. Iniesta is my man anytime any day same with Lampard. I respect both to high esteem. |

Andres Iniesta. Productive does not make you best. Jay Z has the highest Number 1 albums but I doubt most rap purists have him as the #1 rapper.
Man U fan should not be questioning Iniesta. His greatness encompasses Spain and Barca. Of course there were years he won awards he didn't deserve but if you watch Euro 08, 2012 and the CL Finals against you lot, you would understand why he is better than Lampard and why it took ninjas like Ballack without the gaudiest of stats to help Lampard smell a CL Final. Which brings me to the next ninja
Michael Ballack. How unlucky can one human being get. Its not just that he helped his teams to multiple Finals for club and country. Its the lack of talent he had to work with to get that far. Ibime seems fixated on club records so let me fixate on country where Ballack with 8 fewer caps scored 13 more goals. Bear in mind over 30% of Lampard's goals as usual came from the spot
Leading his team to CL, Euro and World Cup Finals. Is it beans?
Make I smoke some Tical bring up some more Ballack helped Lampard but xavi didn't help Iniesta huh. Double standard men. |

I don't wanna discuss Gerrard because as good as he was, he was a big flop and the architect of his downfall on many occasion.
Iniesta has proven overtime that he doesn't need Messi to succeed. He is a Don and a Lord and one who influences destiny.
Who is Lampard without Drogba? Just like who is Henry without Zidane? Your last statement sold you out. You mentioned drogba and Zidane but didn't mention xavi, Alonso. Since those two retired Spain have returned to their usual self. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by hensben(m): 10:07am On Dec 21, 2016 |
Debroslink: In a bid to spite Iniesta, you limited his time frame to just 6 years. I don't blame you because as a Barcelona hater, you decide to ignore the truth.
Iniesta has been winning trophies for Barcelona since 2005, and he's still winning in 2016, and he stands a chance to win something in 2017.
And please don't tell me Lampard is satisfied with not helping his country qualify for a semifinal in any competition not to talk of winning a trophy. Shut up football is not lawn tennis. If Barca succeeded in signing Lampard that year he would've achieved same accolades as iniesta if not more. Gerrard was a great footballer but his loyalty to Liverpool restricted him to achieve so many things in football like his mate(Lampard and iniesta). Lampard was a great Footballer just like iniesta. My problem with you guys is your double standard when it comes to stats, it can be use when comparing hazard and Neymar (even while they play different position) but can't be use when comparing iniesta and Lampard(even as they play same position). |

Nihilist: I don't think you really need pace in that area at all, just quick bursts of acceleration. Pace is only really useful out on the flanks heading towards the byline. A left footer on the right flank is going to be moving away from space into congested areas that prevent him from applying the pace anyway.
Close control and acceleration is more important than pace in those areas, see coutinho at pool, KDB on the left for city or Mahrez also at (a different) city as examples of none pacy assassins on the flanks as inverted wingers. Well, you have a strong point. |

Nihilist: 75m is too much. 20-25m would be a good deal. He's left footed and can slot in on that right wing in 343. Hes not pacey enough to play that RWF |

bykebyke: *sighs*
Where do I start from?
When did goals and assists become the only thing about football? Have the Squawkas and WhoScored of this world blinded us to the extent that football is now about just goals and assists?
Do you think we Barcelona fans do not see Iniesta's stat? Do we complain about it? No. Why? Because we know there is more to his game than scoring goals or giving assists.
Currently, for Barcelona's midfield to function properly..It needs a 33year old Iniesta to be fully fit.
The MSN you are thanking God for requires Iniesta to function properly.
Iniesta just recently came back from injury, and during his absence Barcelona played their worst football this season, with our midfield getting exposed left, right and centre, plus a stüpid coach who could not fix it.
Now he is back and Barcelona is also back, our players who were out of form,Busquets especially, are also now playing well. Because Iniesta has returned with his associative play.
I'm 100% sure you watch Iniesta at least once or twice a season, then when it's time for you to begin your hate on him,you go to WhoScored to check his goals and assists tally but ignoring the football he played. But you guys are quick to use stats when comparing Neymar to Hazard, even when hazard is deployed as LMF/winger in 4-2-3-1 formation with a RB playing as LB behind him compare to Neymar who play as LWF/Striker in 4-3-3 formation with a natural LB behind him and Messi the creator giving him two yards goals that season. Double standard men. |

Nihilist: Of coures technique isn't Lukaku's strong point. He's a battering ram of a player that plays best when he's running on to through balls and bashing opponents out of the way.
Koeman is not playing to Lukaku's strengths at all. It's like having Messi up front and still deciding to play cross and nod football. As a player if you lack technique then top club is not for you. Lukaku is where he is suppose to be as a player(mid-table club). |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by hensben(m): 8:27am On Dec 20, 2016 |
Nihilist: Koemans direct tactics are ruining Lukaku's game though. Lost count of how many times Coleman ignored the 20 yards of space in front of him instead electing to ping a 60 yard diagonal to Lukaku that is well known to be weak in the air
The guy has no supply from midfield and is always isolated upfront which is unsurprising seeing the battalion of ishon warriors koeman keeps playing.
Then they keep pinging some very fast passes to his feet as if he is Ronaldo.
Smh.
Dyabman doh good morning Bro technically, Lukaku is average. |

#CFC has been tipped to be the favorite of signing the player do you guys think he his going to make a difference in our team
will he come this January? sincerely speaking, CFC don't need James. he's not a good LWF and not a good supporting striker. The only position he's good at is no 10 and CFC have change formation. |
