All I see in Bhuhari's face is desperation, too desperate for my liking, highly intoxicated to get power by all means

If the people refuse to vote for you for over a decade now, won't you go and rest

And for you Cramjones keep ur opinion to urself and stop compelling people to follow this old power freak of a man
PoliticsWhat is the Nigeria of your Dream ? by HerexG(op):
"It all started like a dream, before our very own eyes the child whom the world think wouldn't stand the test of time because of the numerous trails and travails she is facing. But now she has finally proved the world wrong, stronger and greater will she grow, she is Nigeria."

I'm a Nigerian and a proud one indeed, Nigeria is a country in west Africa, located right beneath the equator, the tropical paradise of Africa, oozing out the richness and splendor of nature.

I was sitting outside my house one day thinking and meditating on how to make Nigeria a country of my dreams. Before now creating the Nigeria of my dreams was an unsolved puzzle to me but fortunately for I found the answers at the course of my extensive and compound studies, thank you dear Mr Alasa Igbafe Momodu for creating this eye opening expository and challenge (He challenged me to come up with this).

In 1914 the northern and the southern protectorate was officially almagamated to be a great nation with great people and that nation is called NIGERIA. And from then on till date, the country Nigeria has been facing series of trials, tribulations and triumphs. I wouldn't want to bore you with the numerous trials and travails Nigeria as country is facing but permit me to briefly discuss on two incidence that happened recently, oh the incidence disturbed me as a young Nigerian. It is like a big stone worn around my neck, it gives me a great concern as a part of the future of this great country.

Just last week as I was coming back from the market one sunny afternoon, I was holding a nylon bag containing the soup ingredients I bought from the market, I abruptly looked straight and I saw people gathered murmuring and intensively staring at something I had no idea of. So I moved closer to get a glimpse of what was really happening, lo and behold

" It was a boy named Wale lying helplessly and jerking profusely on a messy mud right in the middle of the road"
Oh cried for Wale that very day, I later found out that Wale is an abandoned teenage boy suffering from cerebral seizure, unfortunately Wale later died

About four months ago 21 years old young man Tolani Ajayi was arrested by the Nigeria police force for hacking his own father, he was asked why he did such a gruesome act to his own father. The boy reportedly said that

” His father was praying and he refused to reply by saying “amen” to the father’s prayers, this aggravated the father and he went inside the kitchen to pickup a cooking utensil to hit his son maybe probably on the head, then the boy went
out of control and did the unthinkable”.

Is Tolani not supposed to be a potential leader of tomorrow of this country ? But unfortunately he will be languishing in prison for murdering his father. And not to talk of the unscrupulous characters which some of our political leaders exhibits, the Boko-Haram menace, and future leaders indulging in internet crimes (Yahoo) etc .

The world and Nigerians have successfully branded our county
"The Giant of Africa"
But come to think of it are we really living to the brand name, my great citizens of Nigeria is this the Nigeria of our dream ?

I believe Nigeria is not living up to her full potential yet even a blind man would testify to this. Poor Wale and Tolani are a part of the future of this great country, and you and I know there are thousand and one of Wale and Tolani out there still existing in this country and if a swift action is not taken our country will be existing like a time-bomb prompted to blow up someday. Now what is the way out ?
The way-out to my own perspective are these few points I will highlight bellow on creating the Nigeria of my dreams, so i crave for your indulgence as I critically and briefly analyze it

The Nigeria of My Dreams

• A Nigeria De-tribalized : I will love to see a Nigeria where all her citizens see themselves as one, embracing and loving each other no matter the tribe or background where one comes from. Seeing ourselves as a one Nigeria irrespective where we are from

• A corruption free Nigeria: I will love to see a Nigeria where each citizens earns according to his or her legitimate labor output, a Nigeria where there is a zero tolerance of corruption practices

• Free and Rejuvenated Educational system: It is the amount and quality of education one receives that determines the productivity or output and the quality of life of such an individual, if the quality and amount of education is low the productivity or output will be low and vice versa. I believe education should be free in Nigeria from the first day at school to the secondary school

• Employment opportunities for all: I want to see a Nigeria where lack of job employment opportunities would be something of the past, a Nigeria where her citizens will use their creative minds to create jobs and employ more people, not putting the whole responsibility of job creation to the government.

• The Youth Empowerment: If the youth of a nation is not doing well then the future of such a nation is blink, I want to see a Nigeria where the young citizens will be empowered on the area of field they have chosen, it should not be a compulsion that every youth must attend the university. Their are a lot youths talented in various

• An Effective and an Affordable Health system: Like we always would say "Health is Wealth", I want to see a Nigeria where the health is would be up to international standard. A Nigeria where all government of officials no matter the level will all use the Nigerian hospital instead of flying abroad. A child died recently of a treatable liver related condition. The child actually died because his parents couldn't afford the medical bills, there should be a government owned hospitals for Children and the Aged ones.

•I want to see a Nigeria where epileptic power supply would be a thing of the past, because a steady power supply will attract investors and company owners to come invest and boom our economy. A Nigeria where our electricity will be affordable and ever available to all. Action without power is nothing but void

•I want to see a Nigeria where practical science and technology will be taken into serious consideration, I want to look at the back of the modern day electronics and find

" Made in Nigeria "

I want to look into our stock exchange and find

" Otedola car manufacturing industry",

"Chinedu electronic manufacturing industry"

" Dangote Mega Agricultural food and processing plant"

I don't even mind erecting the Nigerian flag right on the moon someday.

• I want see a Nigeria where security will be priotized, a Nigeria where the lives of her citizen will be very essential, loved and protected. I want to walk in the streets of Nigeria someday seeing surveillance camera hanged at every junction. I want a Nigeria I can freely move without security scare, I too want to dial 911 and expect a swift response when I'm in distress
"No be only Oyinbos sabi enjoy na"

• And above all i want see a Nigeria where the Love of God will be shared abroad, a country where the trusting God will be a priority, just like the slogan the American founding fathers used in establishing The United States of America

" In God We Trust"

A Nigeria where each family will be rooted in Gods Love, looking beyond religious diversification and live as one.

Time and space wouldn't permit me to discuss more but for now these and many more not yet written are my Nigeria of my dreams, what about yours !

Happy Independence Nigeria

Does two wrongs make a right ?
HealthDepression In Our World Today by HerexG(op): 1:25pm On Sep 24, 2014
Depression a pressing down start of sadness, it
is also a state where you and your mind is at
work with other. A process whereby ones mind
is unable to adequately process a strong
pressing feelings or issue. It is said that it is
difficult to beat an enemy when the enemy is
living inside your head, depression is an
enemy living inside ones head and with time it
will sooner or later overwhelm the whole
entire being of such an individual.
The birth place of depression is loneliness or
segregation, when one cuts him or herself out
of every form of human social activity or
interaction or when one is stigmatized,
neglected or left alone, most sociable people
or men that are most times surrounded and
loved by people hardly get depressed .

Depression is now a resurfaced modern
epidemic, which affects all classes of human
beings that opens door to it, for it gladly
enters when you welcome it in. It is an
emotional trauma which can be very difficult
to diagnose at its early stage, this emotional
trauma called depression has send so many to
an early grave. Most times depressions create
an illusion of a better world out there outside
the earth, making ones life here on earth look
worthless. A depressed man pictures most
times highly demented images or images of a
higher state of mind that is out of this world,
this makes them most times take their own
lives without looking back. They feel they can
find a place of solace, peace and comfort
leaving this earth.

But unfortunately there are no known
machines yet that could read the human
mind, but the only available machine now that
can do the task of reading the human mind is
you, yes I mean you. We as humans are the
best known depression exterminator, it all
begins with you looking out for that your very
next neighbor, it could be your father, mother,
brother, sister, friend or anybody that
surrounds you. For if we fail to look out for
these people it may bounce back on the
society, most serious cases of depressed
people drives them into serial killings, and
sporadical shootings, turning their world
against ours. Looking out for them entails
having a good interaction and conversation
with that very neighbor of yours, the people
you come in contact with. Everyone wants to
be loved or feel wanted, they want to confide
in you but if you don’t get close to them it
won’t be possible.

But it is advised to report any suspicious
serious cases of depression to the appropriate
authority for proper handling, but the cradle
stage of depression it is for us to handle, yes
you and me. I once added a meaning ones life
one day without intending to, she is young
lady who was depressed. I just chatted with
her on my mobile phone, she was highly
dejected and depressed. At first she didn’t
wanted to open up to me, but I gave her one
thing no one has ever given her, full
“attention”. I gave her an uninterrupted
attention, she poured out all her heart to me
even though I got bored with some of her
words but I have to pretend as though
whatever she was saying means the world to
me. And she said one day

” if you were not here for me I wonder what
would have happened to me”

I became her closest confidant till date, there
is nothing in the world she doesn’t tell me, she
even tell me whenever she gets intimate with
her new found boyfriend, which I personally
find unnecessary. I went offline one day that is
staying off the internet for a complete and she
left me a message saying

” HerexG where are you, how dare you leave
me, don’t you know you are now my second
brain”

And till date i haven’t meet her in person yet
but in her heart I remain that very friend she
can always fall back on. Today friendship and
relationships crosses borders and boundaries
with the invent of technology, ignite or start a
positive relationship today and eliminate
depression

FamilyHow Can A Mother Abandon Her Child ? (A Must Read) by HerexG(op):
Why is life so unfair or better still very partial, I'm writing this story of an abandoned you man with a bitter heart now.

I was coming back from the market one sunny afternoon holding the soup ingredients that I got from the market, I abruptly looked straight I saw people gathered murmuring and intensively staring at something I had no idea of and couldn't see at the position I was then . So I moved closer to get a glimpse of what was really happening, lo and behold

" It was Wale lying helplessly and jerking profusely on a messy mud right at the middle of the road"

Each vehicle and passerby gave way for Wale, some of the vehicles even splashed mud and dirty water on him.
Seeing this scene my mouth gulped opened with tears welling out of my eyes, the soup ingredients I was holding fell from my hand and fell into the drain. Nobody moved close to the poor Wale lying helplessly on the mud, I'm also guilty of the crime because I didn't move close to him too, the people around the scene announced that nobody should go close to him until he regained his self cautiousness. It kind of makes me wonder if Cerebral seizures is a communicable disease, Wale laid helplessly there on the mud for about 20mins. After he regained his cautiousness I and some other guys got some water for Wale to clean up himself, he was totally drenched with the dirty mud and had some deep cuts on his face with some bruises on this hands and body.

The next day I saw Wale barefooted sitting on a pavement at the local football pitch in my street, so I went close to him and conversed with him, here is our discussion

Me : Hello bro, how are you doing now ?

Wale : I'm not good at all

Me : Ahaaa why do you talk that way now

Wale : Right now I feel like jumping into this well ( there is a well beside us)

Me: What ! Please don't

Wale : My brother I'm tired of life

Me : Emmm I can understand but can you tell me a bit about yourself and what is really the problem

Wale : (He sighed) First my name is Wale, I come from a separated home, my father lives in Osun and my mom lives here in Lagos ( the same locality he was as the time of the conversation). I was living with my dad in Osun state before I moved down to Lagos to live with my mom, I wasn't born with this ailment, it was when I moved down to Lagos to live with my mom I developed the ailment at a very young age ( He is in his early twenties now). This ailment is destroying my life, (he removed his shirt and showed me his body, it was filled with scars and bruises). My mother took me to the hospital and the doctor prescribed a drug that I will be using, he said as long as I keep taking the drug the seizure would seize. Ever since then my mother has been buying this medicine for me to stop the seizure temporarily. If I don't take the medicine the ailment comes back

Me : But why are you not taking the medicine again ?

Wale : I can't afford to buy it myself, the medicine cost 1200 naira and I don't work, I was sacked in the place I was working before because of this seizure. My mother and family got tired of me that they started treating me like an outcast, they hardly feed me and my mom don't even my me the drugs she used to buy for me. They are see me as a liability, so one day I was provoked intensely, I had to park my bags on leave the house. I now sleep on the streets now look at where I sleep now ( pointing to a vulcanizer small open kiosk with no door or window, its just a roof covering and a long bench some distance away). And for about a month now, my mom and family refuse to look for me till now. I'm like a big burden to them, but it is not my fault that I'm sick

Me: Oh boy this is hell here on earth (tears dropped from my eyes)

Wale : At night when the Vulcanizer close, I carry my bag, cover myself with my wrapper and use my bag as pillow. Before its dawn I go to this well to bath and change my clothes.

Me : But Wale how do you feed ( wiping my tears with an handkerchief) ?

Wale : Seeing food to eat each day is only by the grace of God o, some of the men who comes here to play draft have pity on my situation they give me some change to eat sometimes, I run errand for some and I get some change from them too. The day I get nothing from them I sleep with an empty stomach, the Vulcanizer man gives me some change too sometimes to eat.

Me : ( I took a full glance at him from his head to his toe, I saw the injuries his sustained at the course of the last seizure he had, a cut on his face and bruises on his hands) But but... Wale why are you barefooted ?

Wale: I lost my slippers in the mud I had the seizure last time

( Immediately I removed my new slippers and give him to put on)

Wale: Oh no what will you now wear home, will you walk barefooted home ?

Me : Oh don't worry Wale, I will buy a bathroom slippers down the road there

Wale : Oh thanks a lot sir

Me : Have you eaten ?

Wale : No

Me : ( I brought out some money from my wallet, and got him a Shea butter for him to rub on the cut and bruises) Take Wale use this to eat and take this Orii (Shea butter) to rub on your injuries. He thank me again and left

I left Wale looking like a toothless bulldog, I could only do that little to help Wale. His life experience prompted me to write this, my brothers and sisters people are suffering, just a move from the government or someone in a better position to help will change Wale's story.

jpphilips: Is international community your God? join hands with who exactly? fvctards who are so dumb to be taking salt water syrup, OR fvctards who have been warned that what they want to take as a drug is actually a supplement that wont really provide a cure, yet they are eager to have "dog sh!te anyways!!? you want serious people to join hands with goats? what kinda joining hands do you mean?

Ebola has been in Africa since 1976, no African country bothered to look for a cure, in 2003 the United states DOD (God bless America Anyways!!) supported its research with a meager $25m and today they have Zmapp, guess what you have; Begging and ranting on the internet, shameless fvcktards!!,

Is it $25m we cant afford? or a research center that private companies own? what exactly is the problem with Africans and Nigerians?
the money stolen from NNPC in a year is enough to get these things done yet we are here whining over America this, America that.
Look at the clown you have as a health minister, he sounds so confused, looks helpless, talks like a mechanic.

He calls himself a prof of medicine but 3days after sawyer's death he said no Nigerian is with the Virus, how can you know when you have not exceeded the 21days incubation period for the virus? and coming from a prof of Medicine is more pathetic, do I blame him? of course not, instead of the President giving him a query for such unprofessional comment, the confused president was calling late Patrick sawyer names, as if he has a panel to face in resurrection.

Onyebuchi chukwu is a disgrace to Medicine, he told us that all the 8 Ebola quarantine patients are stable and responding to treatment, two days on; Justina the Nurse died, that is the goat you advocate will join hands with serious people?

2013 budget has over 400m naira for control of infectious diseases not even the outbreak of March could make the Minister to wake up, it took a Sawyer to slump in MMA for Onyebuchi Chukwu to wake up from Coma.
Before July, there was neither an Infra red thermometer nor a bio hazard suit in any entry point in this country, yet Nigerians are blaming the United states!!

How about demanding professionalism and accountability from people who pilot the affairs of this nation?
How can the Minister tell Nigerians that he has a "drug" Nano silver for our Ebola patients, you people don't know the kinda mess these guys are making till you become a victim, what stops Chukwu from getting clarification from FDA first before coming to misinform Nigerians? it took the Intervention of the FDA for Chukwu to agree to proceed with the recommendation of his committee, these are the kinda fvcktards we have in power and you expect serious countries to join hands with him?

A f00l who saw the test report of the Doctor and claim she has survived Ebola while WHO is saying she is a false positive, meaning she never had the Ebola virus, thank God for WHO quarantine guide lines, Chukwu would have infected her there, meanwhile, has already set Nigerians on a jubilation frenzy that one of theirs have survived the lethal virus, how worse can this shameless man get?

Lagos state (our Ebola red zone) is yet to receive a dime from the $11m intervention fund, yet, people are still holding America by the jugular

At what point would you realize the need to fix culpability where culpability belongs? America is not your problem, the nonentities ruling you are.
WORD ! Nice one man

bushdoc9919: Over the last fifteen years Uganda has had five Ebola outbreaks.....and they still signed an anti-gay law last year.

Look....Ebola is out of control in West Africa because we did not learn the Ugandan lesson....that helped that country go from over 200 deaths in the 2000 epidemic...to less than 5 in the 2012 epidemic.....early isolation, early supportive treatment and community involvement.

Ebola is happening because we were careless. Not because the CIA wants to force us to suddenly love the gays....but because thanks to years of neglect of our health care sector(not just in Nigeria....hospitals in Liberia and Guinea do not have common gloves, and meds)...we were left unprepared for an epidemic of one of our native contagious diseases.

In other words...it is our fault.
I know this is a wake up call for us but if we keep fussing that it is our fault the solution won't come, all we and the international community need to do now is to join hands together and fight this wrath outta this world

We have got one world, one life and one love
