2.A very strong tie with Mom: They hardly say ten words without mentioning their mom and they can hardly make a decision without consulting their Oracle “their mom”. You find them saying words like “Mom said I should stop hanging out with Kunle, Mom said she doesn’t want that dress on you and all that blabla…. Whatever mom says is 100% truth accepted by them, the dependence is more when their mom is rich.

Romance / 6 Signs To Identify A Boyman by HerexG(m): 5:59pm On Nov 08, 2016
The word Boyman needs no form of introduction for the social heads but to carry all along, a Boyman is a grown man who behaves immature. These set of men can be very annoying most times, to them age is never a factor in determining maturity, some can be as old as 40 but yet still behaves immature, they are the more reason this popular saying prevails “Age is nothing but a number “. Ladies, here are ten signs to identify to a ‘Boyman” before you enter one 'chance'.

1.Void of decision making: These folks are most dependent on their friends and close family when it comes to decision making; they are void of decisions so therefore rely on their close associates for decision making. They are the types when their Mom goes against their relationship with a particular lady, they back out immediately without making their mom see reasons to his choice. They are most times indecisive; hereby making their close associates their second brain.

5. Kidnapping of kids: This act is new to the ghetto in Lagos in time past we the then kids in the ghetto with our dirty torn pants, most times bear chested; freely walk run and play around the ghetto without fear of anything. We stay outside as late as 10pm as kids to enjoy the moonlight games when “Nepa” wouldn’t restore power at night but the reverse is the cases these days, these bad kid abductors have suddenly choose the ghetto as their haven. They find the ghetto security so porous to ply their evil trade, something I never experienced while growing up. Parents now keep a closer eye watch on their kids because of this unlikeable development. Any strange person loitering around the street aimlessly is now a suspect most especially when such person is looking weird or somewhat crazy, the youths would single handedly flog out such a person out of their community.

Like the popular Nigerian singer sang many years ago

“When you move in Ajegunle (ghetto)
Make you go there and make you shine
Your eyes well well move your left leg
move your right leg cos you might be the next victim”.

4. Annoying unnecessary noise pollution: You will find group young people mounting giant loud speakers at the middle of the street, playing very loud annoying music and makes noises in the name of birthday or street Jamz at night disturbing the adults sleeping. Most times they end the party fighting breaking bottles and stabbing each other, most times the reason for their fighting is because women, someone dancing with someone else’s girlfriend. The churches and the mosque are not left out in this noise pollution; they will mount their speakers outside the church or mosque building disturbing other people’s peace. My landlord was provoked one day to address one of their religious leaders of this social menace, to my amazement my landlord was beaten and called a witch by these religious folks.

3. Publicly Smoking of Weed: Public Weed smoking is a norm in a typical Lagos ghetto, the part that I find not funny is that they smoke these hard drugs in the presence of kids, they sometimes even go as far sending these poor kids to buy it for them. Funny enough smoke law enforcement personnel joins these ghetto dudes to smoke the weed publicly, the mistake anyone will make is trying to preach decency to the folks because they will end up descending on such a person. Though ones in a while the police come around to raid these people but trust the ghetto guys they know every escape rout in their hood.

2. Destructive Gang Battling: This act is almost unavoidable in any typical Lagos ghetto, you find rival gangs fighting, cutting and brutalizing themselves with all manners of cutting tools, breaking bottles and stabbing each other. On serious occasions they create a scary blood bath scene, shooting at each other and displaying of local charms, occasion like this majority of them cease the opportunity to lift shops, destroy and steal private properties. You don’t see the police within or around the crime scene while the operation is on, it is after the gangs must have all gone you find them blowing their sirens and start arresting innocent rough looking young people as suspects

Do you live or you are planning to visit a typical Lagos ghetto be sure you are bound to experience at least 3 of three if not all of the 5 unlikeable experiences in the Lagos ghetto, so seat back and relax as I take you on a journey ride of 5 typical Lagos unlikeable experience.

1. The Net Boys theft: These are young people susceptibly young men who go right to your window with a candle and their mischievous tools at night while you are fast asleep to steal from people. They use the burning candle to melt and tear apart the net covering of the window so their hands can freely pass through the window with the tools in their hand to pick up whatever valuable item their long stretching tools can reach. Like a thong they will gently and quietly pick up whatever valuable item in their reach, be it Mobile phones, Laptops, Bags, Ipads etc while you are still snoring (for those that doesn’t snore sleeping), the victim would wake up devastated and wondering how they managed to steal their item without them entering inside. A friend of mine managed to break the of one of them hand while he was stretching his hands to pick his phone through the window, the thief never knew my friend intentionally kept his phone to his reach to act as a bait. As he stretched his hands to pick the phone, whoops! A big stick landed on the guys arms. The thief yelled in pains “Yeh mogbe!” and fled; my friend woke up the next day trying to find the dude with a broken arm but never did.

Business / The 3 Basic Principles For Business Creation by HerexG(m): 8:32pm On Jul 03, 2016
To remain in the business world of today there are three dynamic basic principles that all businesses operates , Discovery, Creating, and Creating (DCR) these are the dynamic factors of business creation. In course of the discussion of these factors I use Mr. Francis Nneji a successful Nigerian business man as a case study, using his brief practical life experiences to buttress today’s business talk.

1. Discovery

Discovery is the initiation of every creation

Mr Francis Nneji business sojourn. Mr. Francis started his business empire far long ago when he was in secondary school; he attended Mbaise Secondary school Aboh-Mbaise Imo state. As a senior student he was appointed the social prefect because he is a very social person and processes this leadership skill that carries everyone along. As the social prefect whenever his school sport team has an inter-school sport engagement outside the school, he took it upon himself to always secure the transportation that would convey the sport team to and fro. Back then the available means of mass transportation was the old rugged lorry called “Gbongboro” by the Igbos. Mr. Francis really has business flowing through his veins from the onset, he would make very smart business deals and bargain kids of his age back then wouldn’t of have thought of. Here is a perfect example of what I mean Mr Francis would bargain particular transport fare with the lorry driver and collect a higher transport fare from his school mate e.g. he will agree a fee of 30naira to convey the boys to and fro for the journey and go back to charge the boys 50naira, making 20naira profit per head.

2. Creating

Creation is the action of bringing to life

Mr Francis Nneji graduated from school secondary and gained admission into the University of Nigeria Nsukka. He carries on his leadership traits into the higher institution which bagged him another leadership appointment in the school student union (SUG) as the secretary for transportation affairs, a position he handled diligently. Shortly after his graduation from the university; as an entrepreneur minded young man that he is Mr. Francis approached the defunct Progress Bank for a loan. He shared his intelligent business idea with them, and after series of talks the loan was granted to him. He established Rapido industries limited with the loan granted to him, Rapido industries was the foremost sole distributor of white board markers.

3. Re-Creating
Re-Creating is a further act of creation (Innovation)

His business prowess and knowledge kept waxing stronger; he was successful with the establishment of the Rapido Company, the success story of his first company brought about the creation of ABC Transport. The good old and rugged Urvan bus were among Mr Francis Nneji first vehicle purchases for his transport business, the was the birth of innovation and the new phase in transport business in Nigeria. Mr Francis didn’t create just any other Transport company he created a transport company with class and innovation. He was the first person to introduce bus transport ticketing, he made his bus tickets look like an Air board pass. His transport company was also the first to serve passengers with food and drinks. They kick started their transport route with plying Wedra Owerri to Lagos before extending into a nationwide and now a cross-country covering neighboring African countries.

The key the creation of any business empire starts with (DCR)……Discover…..Create…..and….Re-Create…

Op, I'm glad about your write up and that's was how 70% atheist started out being atheist.

The phase were you at is "questioning phase" and believe you me, it's a point of no return, Why?

Intelligence is gathered through questioning then getting answers or no answer would leave you determining if you want to develop your intelligent mind or remain stuck, which I believe you don't, that's why you gonna eventually turn atheist. Welcome in advance.

To answer your second question.

If there was a God, Predestination can't be altered by men for instance, If God created Adam in the garden of Eden with the knowledge he was gonna eat out of the forbidden tree? Why did he then banished Adam and Eve for offense he already know they would commit? Or if didn't know they gonna commit that sin, that would also mean he's not an all knowing God.

Either ways, you could determine that predestination is cut short by God he also made mistake for creating man because he caused his creation and sent them out the garden

So you still believe in the mythical story of Adam and Eve at this age and time?

Just recently I observed something that might interest you; it was what led me to the writing of this post. Now here is it friend of mine has this girlfriend who works in a bank, when you see this couple from afar you would think they are head over heels in love with each other. But recently I observed the lady and my friend don’t hang out as they used to anymore, so ask my friend about his babe and he dropped the bombshell to me. He broke up with the lady and I asked why.....why he would break up with such a sweet girl. And he started complaining about the lady, he said the lady wouldn’t touch anything in his house, there was a day he was prompted to ask her to cook but guess what the lady said; she said her pastor told her not to cook for any man who is not yet husband, clean the house she wouldn’t, all she does is eat the guys food, pass the night at his house and leave. The small home menial works a lady should do on her free-will without anybody telling them, is what this lady would say her pastor told her not to do until my friend comes to pay her bride prize. My friend kept bearing this until he was pushed to try out another lady, this new lady is not as beautiful and sophisticated as the former but she’s very homely, she does virtually everything a lady should do in the home without being told, this was what led to my friend breaking up with his former heartthrob. And now my friend told me how happy he is now with the new lady, he is right now planning to propose to the new lady.

Ladies please don’t fall for that old crap” My pastor said this, my pastor said that” use your intuition, be a matured woman upstairs, a woman of yourself, who makes and takes her own decisions, bearing all risk and consequences of the decisions made. For those still following their religious leader’s teachings, know that these old religious practices you hold in a high esteem might not stand the present test of time; no religious book has got a new revised standard. So don’t lose that man because of any religion, like my pops will always say “play your own part, there the true owner lies”

Business / 5 Essential Useful Tips For The Present Financial Crisis by HerexG(m): 3:17pm On Jun 24, 2016
No doubt we are presently experiencing one of the toughest times in our economy system; the situation has so gone so bad that even an unborn child in the stomach could attest to it. This has practically changed our social life and activities, in response to the present economy turmoil it is necessary we cut down our excesses just like the way the Nigerian Federal government is cutting down economical expenditures. All hopes are not lost; here are few essential tips that should help-out in the present economic situation.

1. The letter V Financial technique

I personally created and presently use this technique. Now this is how it works; just like the top of letter V is widely open, you widely open your doors of opportunities and incomes flows. And just like the bottom of the letter V is closed, you should close all excesses and try to reduce expenditures to its minimal. At this point in time your spending power should drop in accordance with the economic situation, spending the in the usual way when the economy hasn’t gone bad like the way it is now would sooner or later put you in a financial crisis. While the government makes works tirelessly financial approach to curb the present financial crisis so for now it would be advisable to embrace The V financial technique.

2. Placing your Needs over Wants
Placing more priorities on basic factors of life should be topmost in your expenditures, wants are basically things you desire by impulse they are not necessarily needed; I call it a temporal desire that would disappear with time. I’m not totally kicking against you going after your wants because wants adds spice to our lives but at this very moment of financial crisis it should rate the least is our scale of preference. Like the popular saying goes, if you continue buying things you don’t need, you will end up selling those things you need.

3. Be entrepreneur conscious
At this very hard time surviving with just one source of income is not advisable, your entrepreneurship traits should be geared up. Look around and search for the problem that your money lying fallow in the bank can solve and in return make you smile to the bank. For example you live in a community populated by idle youths, get them engaged with activities that would fetch them cash, entertain, make them look good or physically engaged and at the same time smile to the bank. So raise high your entrepreneurship tentacles to opportunities and grab them as they come.

4. Open an account with a strong Microfinance Bank
No commercial bank is ready for a deal as low as a million naira, but a microfinance bank grant you loans in hundreds of thousands and bellow as long as you a loyal customer and you meet their all their criteria’s for granting loan. So your best bet is looking out for the strong Microfinance bank with mouth watery investment packages and selects the package that best suit your business plans, ideas or careers. You have nothing to worry about the safety of your money because the CBN has sanitized the industry just like they did to commercial banks in years back.

5. Stay away from Pest
There are people out there who only want to be at the receiving side without contributing anything tangible to your life, we have them around as friends, families, neighbors, colleagues. It is advisable for us to do away with any relationships that don’t add value to our lives, it would save one a lot time and resources giving these kind of people space. I’m not trying to kick against charitable acts but we have to distinctively separate charity and playing the sucker or better still being the ‘Mugu’. There are some who won’t directly collect from you but would indirectly make you do some spending that would be of beneficial to them, the quicker we recognize these people and give them space the better for us.

Be financially prudent, embrace entrepreneurship and lets kick poverty out of Africa!

Education / Reflecting back to your Primary and Secondary school days by HerexG(m): 11:24am On Jun 06, 2016
Today I while still on my bed I was reminiscing back in my secondary school days, those school scenarios in the morning that would scare the hell out me preventing from me school that morning. Sometimes I will device some means so mom would allow me stay at home but trust my mom “she no dey gree” come rain come sunshine I must be in school. The only time I and my siblings get to miss school is when our dad has not paid our school fees yet, when they start callings the names of students owing schools I will be the first to come out because of the excitement of going home. I was disappointed one day when Auntie Jumoke our school Bursa back then didn’t call my name for people owing school fees because I have already carried my back to start going home with my siblings, Auntie Jumoke drew me back with my ears saying “Olodo ! Your dad has already come to pay your fees before resumption”. So here are some few experiences that scared the hell out of me during my Primary and Secondary school days

1. Early Morning Multiplication recitation
Every Morning back then Mr. Salome our class teacher back then would make us recite the multiplication table from 2x to 20x, during the recitation of the table there are group of students who gives the recitation a bass and soprano tone (I’m most definitely part of the soprano crew because of my small size nature back then) and those that really knows it. Thank God for Chidi this boy knows the multiplication table like a baby knows the path through the mom’s breast. He covers me up; all I have to do is dance with my mouth, add my soprano and scream aloud those simple ones like 2x 5x 10x 15x. God exposed me the day Chidi was absent from school, after the thorough “kpankere stick” flogging from my teacher I was forced to go learn it myself.

2. Writing the names of noise makers

In class I was notorious noise making back, if I’m not telling my friends the new Action Commando, Snake in the Monkey Shadow, Jetli’s The One and Twins Warrior etc movies I watched, I will be banging the table singing with Ugo (who is now a musical artist) my friend in class. In order to curb this naughty characters my teacher would order the class captain to right noise makers. George the class captain would right my almost every time he writes names of noise makers, sometimes I will beg him to remove my name but he would refuse I will then brag with confidence and then shout “If you like write my name x2 sebi na cane I go chop” but inside I’m scared of Mr Etina’s thin “kpankere” stick.

3. Literature Class

At first I fell in love with literature class because of all the interesting stories like “Merchant of Venice, Macbeth, Anthills of the Savanah, Things Fall Apart and the rest but when Mr Etina our English teacher started introducing Poet to us I began to dislike and get scared of the class. Mr Etina would make us cram many poets and recite it in front of the class one after the other, I could remember very well JP Clark “Coming and going this several seasons” chai! That poem piece gave me a nightmare. I’m really bad at cramming things as a creative person; he flogged the hell out of me because of that poem and others. Things went so bad to the extent of whenever its Literature period my heart pulse increases, i get all shaky and nervous.

4. Mathematics class and Exam

Back then this subject was my Nightmare don’t know about you, looking at my subject table every morning know that I have Math’s turns me off. I would most times intentionally come to school late and get flogged because of that class so as to miss Math’s class. I never knew I what I was running for back then I secondary school is something I would still meet at higher institution. During Math’s Exam back then I will turn into an Ostrich overnight, stretching my neck to all direction trying to spy the Mathematicians of our class then. And these students are so annoying they will all cover their books and leave me frustrated.

In all my Primary and Secondary school was the most fun, I enjoyed every moment I experience, all thanks to our parents who gave us the opportunity to experience this. You may share yours bellow too if you have

Business / Some Aggressive Business Strategies To Take For The Present Tough Economy by HerexG(m): 5:59am On Jun 04, 2016
The present state of business today most especially in Nigeria has turned the survival of the fittest that is only the fittest stay in business, lots of businesses are folding up, a good numbers of employers are being laid off all because of Hard time has shown his ugly face into our economy. The truth is that at this tough times as a business man you need to employ tougher and an aggressive measures just like The Business Mafia to be able to stay in business if not the wind of change would swallow up your business just like the biblical Big fish swallowed Jonah. Here are some useful aggressive business strategies to help you match up with the big fish in the business world of today.

1. Re-strategize your mode of Business operation

One thing is certain you cannot be applying the old business strategy and still expect to your business to remain relevant at this present time, the key is re-strategizing your mode of business operation, seek for better measures to make your customers or clients life easier but at a very attractive price. I like what is presently going on in our telecommunication industry, each telecom companies keep churning out fresh innovative and very attractive ideas that appeal to their customers. The efficiency, attractive price and flexibility you bring into your business would drive in more customer base to your business, those offering the best packages win it all; I think our business should take a cue from what is happening in the Telecom industry. But note while unleashing your innovations do it on a day-to-day level; too much innovation is traumatic and might result to revolt. To be on the safe side like mothers nursing her baby with nourishment day after day nurse your consumers with your innovation, humans are habitual creatures, make your innovations look like a gentle improvement of the past.

2. Follow up your competitors closely

Be abreast with the necessary information going on in your competitor’s camp, if it is possible for you to buy one of your competitor’s staff to feed you with information on their plans and strategies do it and don’t be apologetic about it. The business world today is cruel and harsh you need to be tougher and stronger to stand the heat, through your competitors off balance with the gotten information and stay ahead. You can also work with their own ideas that is seeking for ways to better their own ideas for example “Chukwudi and sons company” released product A today, as a smart business owner derive means to better the A and come out with an A+ (This simple application was applied by the two giant brewery industry in Nigeria when both companies came up with “Orijin and Root”.

3. Employ Innovative and capable hands

Always learn to use the knowledge, ideas and legwork of other people in return for a juicy pay or salary to further your own cause. Employ only the best and capable hands, pay people to think for you, never be the Alpha and Omega of your business. There are over a thousand and one smart and intelligent chaps out there, whose brilliant ideas are lying fallow because of capital, get the ones that appeal to you, fund their ideas, get the glory and smile to the bank. One of the few business owners embracing this principle is Mr Tony Elumelu with his “TEEP” project, I therefor encourage other entrepreneurs to embrace this strategy so we can lighten up great ideas for own use.

4. Cut out all unfruitful Vine

Just like Jesus coursed the vine that yielded no fruit, lay off the unfruitful staffs with little or no results. This might sound cruel but it is the bitter truth, your business could die as a result of their unproductive output, so it is best you cut down all excess baggage. Due to the present economic situation many companies are applying this principle, so as an employer you need to be at the top of your game to remain gainfully employed and as a business owner you need be also at your very best to remain relevant in the business world today. Today’s cooperate world has gone beyond just sitting on the office chair without doing nothing, it is now a “you scratch my back and I scratch yours” affair.

5. Initiate an aggressive but creative marketing scheme

Transform your product and services from a need to a necessity through the invention of fresh, creative and aggressive marketing scheme into your business. There are so many products out there that consumers can do without but because of the clouded screen illusion the manufacturers have created around the products through aggressive marketing, consumers now pictures such products as necessities. For proper analysis compare most TV commercials of about 5 years ago and Today's TV commercials, the difference is that the old commercial portrays their product as the right choice but the present TV commercial portrays their product not as a choice but must have, or a necessity. To be relevant in today’s business world you must force your product into the hands of your consumers creatively.

I call the present economic situation ‘The Lion’s den’ just like the Lion you have to be fierce, cruel and intelligent business wise to survive. Once again I hope I have been able to add some values into our lives, thanks for reading.
