Christianity EtcThree Kinds Of People You Find In Church. by HerexG(op): 1:24pm On Oct 08, 2013
Promoters
Passive
Detractors

You might be wondering what exactly these words got to do with what i'm about writing today, but never mind i'm taking somewhere.
Now lets take for example three classes of brethrens in the church, this technique will help us arrive easily to the point i'm trying to convey. Class A, Class B, and Class C brethrens .

Class A
Class A brethren are those kind of people that carries most church affairs to themselves without them getting paid a salary or a wage, though other people sees this act as a burden but to the people it is pleasure. You find this kind brethrens in almost every department in and out of the church building. Not that they are trying to please anybody with their efforts, it is just their nature, they choose to personalize the gospel according to 1:8 . They are sold out to the gospel, very active in the church, most time people mistaken their action as an eye service because they themselves don't imagine themselves doing something they don't get paid for with passion. Remember God is a rewarder of they that seek Him diligently, these class of people hardly struggle to gain favour, they are highly graced. These class of people are called The Promoters.

Class B
I personally call these class of people "Play it safe at all time", they don't add, multiply or minus in the church. All they do is come to sit and listen to the sermon at the church and leave immediately, they don't want or ever intend to partake in any other church activities other than the church service i.e to sit, listen and leave These kind of people are liable to struggle in life, because they are sowing into faith they profess. Remember you reap what you sow. These kind of people are called The Passive kind of brethren.

Class C
These are the class of people tend to find faults at every slightest opportunity in the church, they seldomly announce progress or positive thing but blows their horn or trumpet at the slightest fault in the church. Not that they contribute much in the church but they see themselves as very important if not the most. These class of people hardly succeed, they are The critique of they church. Remember critique will always sit back to watch real people who matters, stagnation is their other name. They neither make make progress or retrogress, in most critical case they retrogress. They console themselves with this phrase most times "I'm contented with what i have" which in the real sense have the ability to do more if only they can change their ideology. They are the exact opposite of The Promoters, they are The Detractors .
These adjectives Promoters, Passive and Detractors are attributed to the kind of people we have in the church today.
InvestmentRe: Aluko, Boateng Launch $500m African Development Fund by HerexG(m): 1:15pm On Oct 04, 2013
ZUBY77: Dont ever trust a wealthy African businessman with development projects especially if the money would come from other people. A black man's head was programmed to look for his or her interest first. This money will disappear someday without trace. This Aluko and Boateng cannot, i repeat, cannot decline being the managers of the fund. They would stick with the money until death. That is the definition of Africa. If they want us to believe them, let them hand the project over to people like Bill Clinton or Bill Gates. But until then, let them continue their various business.
You think so, bro speak for yourself and not Africa.
Christianity EtcRe: What's Wrong With Wearing A Trouser To Church?? by HerexG(m): 2:33pm On Sep 30, 2013
Annie2gud: Bebe...Biblically its wrong.a woman has no right to wear the clothing of a Man into the house of God.forget the razzmataz of these new competitive new generation churchs.i use to wear trouser to church...even witout coverin my hair..but my husband opened my eyes to those tins i mentioned.sorry abt ur xpirience.
IT IS A SIN FOR A WOMAN TO PUT ON TROUSERS TO CHURCH
This is also another prevailing issue in Africa don't know about elsewhere for now. Most of them who has this belief, sees a woman going to church putting on a trouser is an unbeliever. They use the scripture below to justify their action
" A woman shall not wear
anything that pertains to a man, no shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are abomination to the Lord your God" Deut 22:5

Now my question is, was style of the garment mentioned or was their trouser at the time when this law was proclaimed, weren't they all putting on the same style of garment ? For this reason the bible told us to study to show thyself approved. The true meaning of this word is that men shouldn't put on a garment that belongs to a woman, i.e a garment already worn by a woman should not be found on a man. The law was made because of the women monthly period, so that a man won't be defiled, because then women exercising their period are not to worship in the temple then. Moreover we don't live by the law anymore thank God for Christ.

Christianity EtcHaving The Right Knowledge Of His Word by HerexG(op): 4:25pm On Sep 23, 2013
I will start this post with this wonderful song of zion, kindly sing it if you know it.

" I have a wonderful treasure
The gift of God without measure
We shall travel together
My bible and i . "

"Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. "Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness." . (Romans 10:1-3).

Like the scripture stated that a lot of people have zeal for God but they don't know how to go about it the right way. Most times they behave this way because that was what they were thought or the principle they grew up with. But fail to sit down and study the word of God thoroughly for themselves.

I will list out some misconceptions many Christians carry out thinking they are pleasing God.

1 REMEMBER TO KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY
Infact each day should be kept holy if you would ask me. Even Christ Himself was questioned by the pharisee of then about the sabbath but i love the answer Christ gave them .

"The Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"" (Mark 2:24).
And here is the wonderful
"In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions. Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath"." (Mark 2:26-28).

THE ISSUE OF WOMEN COVERING THERE HAIR WHILE IN CHURCH OR PRAYERS
Well this might not be an issue to debate about in the western community but where i from Africa, it is a really big issue. Permit me to share a short story with you, happened sometime ago in my church.
"A lady came to worship in the church i attend, she was well dressed with her beautiful hat covering her beautiful hair, she sat down for a while and later observed that not every women in the church is covering their hairs. She felt uncomfortable and left the church. When we saw her the next day, we asked her why she didn't wait till the end of the service. She quoted the scripture below

"And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head- it is just as though her head were shaved." (1 Corinthians 11:5).

Now first she fails to realise that the church is not the building but it is the people in Christ. Secondly if you study that scripture from the first verse to the end properly, you will discover that Paul the apostle was quoting the Jewish law from verse 1 to 12 and he finalized by saying "If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no such custom nor do the churches of God." (1 Corinthians 11:16). Also meaning we have no such practice in the church of God. The lady fail read and understand the scripture properly for herself. They fail to realise that Paul was analyzing the Jewish law and the law of the spirit. In other to serve God in spirit and in truth take out all forms of traditional and customs.

" A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, no shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are abomination to the Lord your God" Deut 22:5

SHOULD WE AS CHRISTIANS EAT FOOD MEANT FOR AN IDOL OR FOOD OFFERED BY PEOPLE FROM OTHER FAITH
The truth about this question can be found in 1 cor 8:7-13. I tell you it is not the eating of food that is the sin their, it is the aftermath of the eating that might be a sin. I will conclude by saying if eating any food at all will make a weak Christian fall, i better not eat such food than eating it and making him fall.

When studying the bible, i advise we study indepth and allow the beauty of His word illuminate your entire being. Having the wrong knowledge about the word of God will make you loose out a lot of things freely given to us.
Don't belief because somebody said so, search through your bible, our wonderful treasure.

Christianity EtcThe Effect Of Strife And Envy by HerexG(op): 10:19am On Sep 17, 2013
"For where you have envy and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." (James 3:16).

Without comparison there will not be strife, so why compare yourself with anybody. Everyone is given a measure of grace to carry on in life, we are not meant to struggle or compete with anybody as children of God. The scripture above made it clear for where you having people striving every evil works, no wonder there is evil everywhere in the world today. Father Abraham understands this principle very well that was why he called his brother Lot so they could share there possessions in order to avoid strife
"So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers." (Genesis 13:cool.
Strife and envy manifest also some unwholesome characters like arrogance, hate and selfish. Arrogance comes when you think you are better than someone else, hatred comes when you think another person is better than you, while selfishness is self seeking at the expense of other peoples satisfaction. To be selfish is natural but learn to love and to be kind.
Having the capacity to know whatever is happening now and making the right move will change all the negativity at due course.
Now having known that strife and envy worketh out evil, what is the antidote ? The antidote of strife is Love. Walking in love and walking in strife are two parallel lines that cannot meet. When you have Love welling in your spirit there will be no room for strife or envy hereby every evil manipulations will be reduced significantly.

""You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you," (Matthew 5:43-44).

Do you really know what is happening in Syria at all ? How will they flush out rebels who are fighting for their country being ruled by a dictator. It is Assad and his soldiers that needs to be flushed out.

Science/TechnologyCharging Phones From Soles Of Shoes by HerexG(op): 9:05am On Aug 26, 2013
Anthony Mutua :Kenyans can now charge phones
from the soles of their shoes through a technology
entering mass production. Kenya's 25-year-old
Anthony Mutua developed an ultra- thin chip that
generates electricity when put under pressure. The
chip charges the phone when placed 10cm from a shoe taken off after walking or running. With
funding from the National Council for Science and
Technology, Mutua is now selling the charger and his
branded shoe dubbed Am-utua, which retails at
between KSh1,800 and KSh4,200 ($20-50). "I have
sold 912 pairs of my own branded shoe and fitted about 2,200 shoes with my chips," says Mutua,
whose idea is patented in Kenya though the shoes
are made in India."Eventually I will transfer the
production of the shoes to Kenya," he says. He has
turned to GoFundMe, a fundraising website, to raise
KSh16m to establish a plant in his own country. Read the original article on Theafricareport.com :

Rap BattlesA Teenage Boy Flying In The Tyre Hole Of A Plane. by HerexG(op): 7:23am On Aug 26, 2013
THE teenage stowaway, Daniel Ihekina, who was
arrested at the Lagos Airport after flying in the tyre
hole of an Arik plane from Benin to Lagos on
Saturday morning, thought he was on a US-bound
flight. A source at the Benin Airport who disclosed this said
the boy’s parents had already departed for Lagos in
search of the stowaway. The airport source, who did not want his name in
print said, “From what we heard, the boy said he was
being maltreated and tried to escape from his
parents. He thought he was on his way to the US. “The parents have travelled to Lagos by road, to get
him back.”
Giving the accounts of its preliminary findings, FAAN
said, “Our investigations reveal that a passenger on
board the flight called the attention of the cabin crew
while the aircraft was waiting to take off at the threshold of the runway, to the effect that they had
seen a young boy walk under the aircraft and had
not seen him re-appear on the other side.” “The cabin crew in turn informed the pilots in the
cockpit about this. The pilots called the control tower
and asked them to request FAAN to do a sweep of
the area after their departure, opting to carry on with
their flight despite the report.”

I took my bath immediately relaxed a little and off i go to mama "Caro's spot". I got to the bus garage, the smell of concentrated urine first welcomed me, the site of the garage was an incredible one both young and old men dressed shabily yaling loudly different bus destinations. Some putting on "I was white singlet" and worn out discoloured trousers. A young man in his twenties, with shirley on his face, looking handsomely horrible, called my destination. So i was trying to board the vehicle he was directing me to, so i got closer to him and uncautiously he raised one of his hands up, God the odour coming out from his armpit was strong enough to kill a passing rodent and the hairs in his armpit was thick enough to hid a mouse. Then i endured it all and finally boarded the bus , shortly after the vehicle engine started and immediately we moved. I was sitting right beside a pretty lady, with her long Brazilian hair and a temptatious lips coated with delicious looking gloss, she dressed smartly, i assume she was going to work. As the journey started everybody in the bus was looking serious, some checking their wrist watch almost every minute. Then i felt something right by my shoulder, to my surprise it is the pretty lady resting right on my shoulder, i tried checking her face, lo and behold, "she don sleep", this made me feel like a boss . Few minutes later i felt something wet on my shoulder, and i said to myself " what could this be, could it be that this bus is leaking, but it is not raining". Well i still managed to endure until the bus galloped, jerking everybody in the bus neck upwards, this waked up the sleeping beauty. She woke up discovering that she was resting on my neck and the beautiful mess she has done on my shoulder, she released spatum on my shirt while sleeping. She got seriously embarrassed, she felt like entering burying herself inside the ground, she took out a clean handkerchief and started cleaning my shirt saying " I'm so sorry, please forgive me, sounding like a tweet from a bird . And i gave her a cute smile saying with a baritone voice "aaah no worries, i guess you did'nt get enough sleep " and she replied with a sweet smile "yes i think so". Finally we got the our destination, i and the lady exchanged phone numbers and we shoke hands and left each other exchanging pleasantry.

I got to "Mama Caro's shop right on time, there i saw hard looking men sitting down

It is "Ajinde", the phone rang twice then i picked the call. With a calm voice i said " hello Ajinde " then the caller replied " hello Mikolo, baba (Ayeni) say make you come block us for mama Caro spot around 4:00pm, we get important thing to talk " and i replied "no wahala now, i go definitely show, hail baba for me abeg" ( Ajinde) " no forget our shaaking levels oo". The call ended with me saying " I promise una say una go use head waka go house today" , the call finally ended. As i was heading back to my apartment kids playing, some rolling tires were all hailing me " Bros Mikolo, elenu daku" then of them asked me " bros se make we come watch film ?" with a smile i replied "hmmm but first una go home go baff first, look clean and as usual no noise and no touching" with super excitement the kids jump up, getting ready to go to their various houses. But i said " make una wait first, i no get new film" and one of the kid said " Bros that no be problem, Emeka get one new Van dam film and i go collect "Home Alone 2" for my friend hand" so i replied them say " oya make una go" before i could finish my statement they all off, with their dirty shorts and panties, five of them in total.

I got back to my apartment, looked around i discovered that the house is sterile clean both the bedroom and the sittingroom with everything properly arranged accordingly and i said " Sikira is really a good, see the kind stress wey she save me now ". I went to the sittingroom, switch on the fan and the tv, " thank God say dis Nepa people don bring light self". I laid down on my long chair, surfing the local tv stations , there was'nt anything interesting on tv, as i was about closing my eyes for a short nap, i heard a knock at the door. With a groan i said " oooooh na who be dat ? " and a reply " na we bros , we don bring come the film". It is the kids just within 10 to 15mins they got themselves ready to watch the movie, i opened the door and one after the other they came in . Koffi (one of the kids) handle the VHS cassettes to me and sat on the floor calmly with their eyes gazed on the tv, i checked the video tape the movie titles were "Van dam in hell and Home Alone 2". I inslotted the first the , "Van dam in hell", looking at the kids face it all read excitement and full concentration. After the first movie , i gave the kids plate to go fetch me food. "Emeka abeg make una go help me buy for iya Salewa place ewa agoin (beans) and bread , make una no play for road oo" and Emeka replied " bros we no go play, we go come back now" and off they went.

Then make her sit up right on the bed, i remembered i still have a tin milk i'm yet to consume, so i dashed straight to my cupboard, brought it out and perforated it immediately. And then gave it to her at least for strength, after drinking it i laid her on my laps rubbing and playing with her hair as i sing this "Daddy Showkey's " hit song softly to her " If you see my mama hosana , tell i'm say o hosana , i dey for ghetto hosana, i no getti problem o". I reluctantly tried to wake up with a heavy yawn "aaaaahhhh", it was "Sikira" she woke up earlierand went straight to fix me something to eat.
