EngrSaks: Oh wow......thanks for the info
What about applying for ILR ? Will the different entry time put the others at a disadvantage? Not at all |

EngrSaks: Greetings everyone I have a question,
Please which is the best option? going now with all the family members or the main tier 2 Visa holder going first then bringing in the family later? Will this in any way affect the application of ILR later?
Also is the health charge to be paid for just one year?
Thanks If you can afford coming with the whole family, why not? But if you can't, let the main applicant come first after which others can join later. Health surcharge will be paid for the number of years of visa applied for per applicant. If it's a 3 year visa, the main applicant will pay £400*3=£1200. Each dependant will also pay the same amount |

Lexusgs430: The property has a tank, oil is bought to fill the tank and the oil powers the gas heating unit......
Find out oil suppliers and cost of supply ......
Gas heating is already piped in and you get a conventional gas bill...... Thank you for your response. I've googled and googled, I seem not to understand cost implications of each. Which one is advisable to go for as a JJC? Abeg |

Please, what's the difference between oil heating and gas heating? What are the pros and cons of each? I'm in dire need of accommodation but most of the available ones are oil-heating. Is it advisable to go for it? Thank you |

Thank you so much stefanimay: I doubt the person would be rejected based on that only. .. All the embassy needs is proof of accommodation i.e to be sure that the family in d uk lives in that apartment.. They don't care how many people live there, as long as you don't mention it in your application... My two cents.. |

A family of 4 living in a 2-bed apartment who's trying to apply for one of the parents to visit, is there a chance visa would be refused based on accommodation even if other conditions are met? It's urgent please. Thank you in anticipation of your quick responses Please I need your responses on this ☝☝☝☝☝ |

justwise: As it's there is nothing much you can, present 4months bank statement if that's what you have and explain in the form that your rent is bills inclusive which is common in the UK, but you must include yourself tenancy agreement.
Though shared accommodation will not be suitable for your mum invitation Thank you for this. I'm grateful. I'm relieved now. |

ekpotek: 1. The 6 month payslip rule is not sacrosanct. You can submit just the payslip you have.
2. You should rather be worried about your shared accommodation as it will not be acceptable by the ECO. The application to invite your mum will only fly when you have moved into a new accommodation as stated and you have all the necessary bills (Utilities, Council etc) in your name. Thank you for this. I'm grateful. I'm relieved now. |

@justwise @ekpotek and other gurus in the house, I need directions please. I've asked this questions previously but I've not got any concrete answer on how to go about it.
I'm on tier 2 visa, I came to UK in September and will be due for child delivery in March. I want my mum to come over to support me during the period. I have no issues with applying fpr my husband and son as my employer is ready to issue a letter stating that they will support my family.
My challenge now is I'm planning to start application for my mum in December but by then, I would have just worked for 4 months.I've been reading about how people said they presented 6 months payslips, 6 months utility bills etc.
I'm presently staying in a shared apartment where we pay the agent rent with bills inclusive. How am I going to present that? I'm also planning to move to a 3-bedroom apartment later in the year in preparation to receiving my family. All these have not amounted to 6 months, I'm so worried right now.
I'm completely a novice about all these application thin, mine was done by my recruiter. I only went for biometrics and visa pick-up. PLEASE COME TO MY AID NAIRALAND FAMILY. Thank you as I anticipate your responses. God bless us all |

Uglyduckling: You don’t need an immigration solicitor for the application. It’s doable yourself. All the information can be found on Nairaland UK visa thread. Any confusion will be gladly clarified. Your mum cannot be your dependant(only partner and children under 18) except under very very exceptional circumstances which you most unlikely to meet. Thank you. So how do I apply for my mum? As a visitor? |

ekpotek: If that is the case. Then your employer must have bought you a restricted and cheap economy ticket. You can always pay for additional check in luggage online, or during check in at the airport. Thank you @ekpotek |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Heritagee: 10:03pm On Aug 30, 2018 |
ekpotek: You are entitled to 2 x 23kg luggage allowance plus cabin bag (7-10kg) and laptop bag for economy ticket. Enter your ticket reservation/booking/reference number on air Marco website to confirm check in luggage allowance. You can also use checkmytrip.com before raising any alarm. I've done all that before coming here. I spent hours checking various sites. I've even asked this question on their Facebook page before coming here,no response yet. I chose this platform as the last resort because someone might have used the airline and would have firsthand information. I was surprised to see one 23kg bag allowance on my itinerary, I never came here to raise unnecessary alarm. Thank you for the response though. |

Hello all, Please has anyone travelled with Royal air maroc from Lagos to London? My employer booked RAM for me and on the itinerary, one bag weighing 23kg was the bag allowance. Has anyone travelled with them? Did you go with the same 1 23kg bag? Infact, this has totally thrown me off balance because I've thought and thought about it. How do I pack clothes and foodstuffs in one 23kg bag? Somebody please help |

fatima04: 1. I believe your recruitment agency should do that for you but confirm from them as well to be on the safe side and check your contract.
2. Yes it covers all and you are entitled to dental care too whilst pregnant.
3. You can invite your mum over once you are settled in and all. No hard or fast rule to this.
4. It is doable but tough if you are only one as a new migrant and family support is key but if your mum will be coming over, you should be fine.
All the best Thank you so much. Fears allayed |

Does NHS cover childbirth cost and postnatal care?
How feasible is if for a woman to care for 2 children all alone in the UK? I'll be going to Coleraine in Northern Ireland
Thank you in anticipation as I await your prompt responses and guidance |
