There's a part of the form where you'll fill in details of what the applicant will be doing in the UK and in some cases how visiting the places will benefit the applicant can be included; no need to attach itineraries. At least all the applications I've worked on had no itineraries attached and they got their visas.
Oh ok. That's good! Thank you so much

Where in the UK are you going to? What are the things you'd be doing there? What are the places you'd be visiting? How much will you be spending on getting into those places or transporting yourself to those places? The information you gather will help you plan your itenerary and expenditure.
I'm planning to invite my mum. I know pple always advise to attach flight itinerary to the application.
I used travelstart.com.ng the last time she applied but as of today, it only has flights to London.

Good morning everyone. Please how can I get travel itinerary so as to know amount to budget for flight tickets?

Thank you in anticipation of your responses

USA is easier. Have you practiced out of Nigeria ?
Yes, UK

Bachelors degree and not just school of nursing diploma.
Because RNs in Canada are Bachelor degree holders. That's the only category they have.
I have BNSc and Masters, intend to evaluate my Masters for Express entry. Just wanted to know how easy getting registered to practise as a nurse is in Canada compared to US
TravelRe: Nigerian Nurses And Midwives With The Dream Of Working Abroad Let's Meet Here. by Heritagee: 9:31pm On Sep 19, 2019
vickyehi:
Well for starters, the process for RN registeration in Canada has to be concurrent with your Express entry(note the reverse isnt the case). This is because you need to be in the country to partake in some of their requirements. If you have a BSN then you may stand a better chance at getting the RN registeration. The process differs for people and mostly based on how well they do during the test for skill exams. That exam gives an advisory report that could advice that you get anywhere from a 3mth to a4years top up program.
There by making the process take anywhere from 1year to 4years to complete. Statistics on people who sail through arent so great but they exist.

2....yes you need to have practiced in the last 5years.

3.....in comparison to the states, their RN registeration process is much easier and certain.
Thank you for your response. How do you mean @ the bold?

@vickyehi
I am currently in UK working as a RN but I wish to migrate to Canada or US.
Please, how is the process for RN registration like in Canada?
Do I need recent hospital experience to register?
I have enough info about Express entry and US pathway but I wish to know about RN registration in Canada before taking a decision.

Thank you

Thank you so much for responding. Just to be really clear, are you saying that your family applied for a tier 2 dependent visa with your COS which expired in October and you did not include pay slips or bank account balance? I'm sorry if I keep asking but you know in this type of thing no stone can be left unturned. Thanks so much.
Yes! I only used the CoS and maintenance letter from my employer
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Heritagee: 8:15am On Apr 22, 2019
drchic:
Thank you @heritage for your response. My COS has expired in March that's why I need the funds.
The tenancy agreement I have currently states that I have one room only in a shared apartment. Was yours written this way?
The expired CoS doesn't have anything to do with your dependants' application. The CoS must be used by the candidate before that date which you've used. Mine also expired in October and my family joined me this year.

About shared apartment, my tenancy agreement also showed a room in a 5-bed shared house.

NB: You can request for a maintenance letter from your employer though if they are willing to give you. This will further give you rest of mind but if they dont, your CoS with marked "Y" for maintenance is enough financial evidence

I came in 2 months ago on a tier 2 visa. I plan to apply for my family (husband and 2 kids) after the 90 days has elapsed so the maintenance in my account is ok. Concerning accommodation what is the required accommodation for a family this size pls? My son's are aged 11yrs and 8yrs. I thought a 2 bedroom flat would be ok but someone told me that because of their age I need a three bedroom. Thanks for responding.
If your employer ticked "Y" under maintenance funds in your CoS, you don't need to keep maintenance funds in your account for 90 days.

All you need is proof of accommodation which is your tenancy agreement. I applied for my family while staying in a shared apartment. I used tenancy agreement for the shared accommodation for the application and it was approved. A friend who applied for her husband and four children was staying in a room provided by her employer when she made the application and there was no issue at all. All the ECO is looking for is a proof of accommodation

Almost everybody saw it as being heartless and irresponsible then but she needed to do it to support her husband who was studying then. The boy was left with a grandma and her niece who did excellent even more than what the mother would have done. After all, he joined his parents after 4 months.
It is not easy for any mother to leave her child/ren. I left my 4-year old boy with my mum and I still feel terrible about it, cried for days after my arrival but it's for better. Na condition dey make crayfish bend o my brother, no mother will be happy to leave her child/ren in the care of someone else
justwise:
I couldn't be nicer by saying that leaving a 2 month old baby to travel abroad is heartless and iresponsible.

If your mother will look after your own baby better than you then you need to spend more time with your kid rather than chasing career and money
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Heritagee: 5:36pm On Feb 16, 2019
I don't think you need to explain why you are not applying with the kids. I know of someone who left a 2-month old baby to join her husband. The baby joined them when he was 6 months
Shawtykel:
Please I really need to know if there are implications to this of not taking my kids @ the moment?
What possible best reasons do I have to give for not taking my kids along?
Any case like mine ever?

Like I previously said hubby is on tier 4 visa for one year and I really need to hustle to support him while hoping he gets a switch to tier 2 before his one year elapses or I get tier 2 while in UK then come for our kids.
Thanks a lot

I'm on tier 2 visa and planning to apply for my mum as I'm expecting a child. I want her to come around for support. I've only spent 5 months in UK. I want to fully sponsor the trip.
I intend to submit these documents
*Coverletter that will explain our relationship and that I will fully sponsor the trip
*5 months bank statement (Can I print out the online statement or must it be stamped by the bank?)
*5 months payslip
*Tenancy agreement
*1 month utility bill (I've been staying in a shared apartment)
*Receipts of money sent to her since I came to UK
*Her bank statement (just stipends sent every month by children)
*My BRP and passport data page

Like how much should I have in my account as the closing balance? It's my salary account and I have less than 2k in it. Can I transfer more money into this account, will it raise an eyebrow?
What other documents will I need?

Your responses will be greatly appreciated
Response to this please

Yes I am very sure, I was speaking from experience. My partner joined me many months after my CoS had arrived and we submitted it like that. The CoS is issued for the sponsored person NOT for the dependants so it doesn't have to be valid for the dependant's application.
Hmmmm. It is well o. I'll pressurize my employer then to give me a maintenance letter as a back up. Thank you @nomad26 and @Mamatukwas

I'll answer the first part of your question: the expiry date on your CoS doesn't matter for your dependants' application. The CoS is just proof of your sponsorship.
As for the second part, I think it should be ok since it is stated on your CoS, but maybe try to verify from your colleagues who have gone through similar process.
Thank you so much for being helpful always. God bless you
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Heritagee: 6:59am On Jan 26, 2019
The expiry date on my CoS is 11 October. I came into UK in September, can I still use it for my dependants application? I have requested for maintenance letter fron my employer but they said they have not been giving maintenance letters to others who have been bringing in their dependants, that they've been using only CoS since it's already written on the CoS that they would provide maintenance.

the easiest way to pass the cbt test is to study past questions and answers that are specifically for the test this is because most of the questions were repeated . Royal marsden textbook is better used to prepare for osce not cbt.
Past questions are good for CBT but you need to check up correct answers from Royal Marsden. With the right training, you are good to go for OSCE

I've searched my PC, unfortunately I couldn't find it anymore. Let me try and summarise what I wrote. In the invitation letter for my parents' visitor visa, I wrote that I was inviting them on holiday for xx amount of days, that they will be staying with me at my address, that I will be fully sponsoring their trip. I also mentioned the trip budget and the bank account that the money was in. I mentioned my job and the company I work for and my tier 2 visa expiry date. I wrote a bit about what my parents do for a living and that they will return back to Nigeria after their vacation to continue running their businesses.

For my partner's tier 2 dependent visa, I wrote a short cover letter stating how long we had been married and that I support his application to join me in the UK. I mentioned when we started dating and that we have attached photos and whatsapp messages to prove that our relationship is genuine. I think that was all.
God bless you. Thank you so much

They can't extend Tier 2 again because the class of visa Don change to PBS dependant or so not sure about this but don't worry you will sort it out by then because rules may have even changed again

I will advise apply now for all the family members and let them come within 3months after the main applicant moves.

If you apply separately, it sort of complicates the ILR application because when main applicant is due for ILR the dependant wont be and then he or she with (the kids) if any needs to change the class of Visa by exiting the UK to apply for another category of visa.... That Is my understanding
Jeez! See my life for outside ooo. So na rubbish I pack full for head. Never knew this o, thought once the main applicant has ILR, it covers others too not knowing they will also have to complete their 5 years.
So does that mean they will extend their visa?
Does this also apply to a child born here?

For my parents application for 6-months visitor visa, budget was 3000 GBP for 2 weeks and I stated that I will fully sponsor their trip. They are both self-employed.

Timeline (Standard): TLS Abuja
3rd June: Submitted online application
12th June: Submitted documents and biometrics
3rd July: Passport ready for pickup (13 working days ex. public holidays)
Picked up passports the next day with both visas approved (valid from 29th June)

These are the documents we submitted with their application:

Mine:
1. Original Invitation Letter
2. Copy of BRP and my passport data page
3. Birth certificate
4. Tenancy agreement
5. 6-months payslip
6. 6-months bank statement savings account (2K in this account)
7. 6-months bank statement salary account (3K in this account)

Parents:
1. Cover letter, signed by both of them
2. Company CAC certificate of their registered company
3. Their office tenancy agreement
4. 6-months bank statement from both of them
5. Excel table explaining deposits into their account (I can share a format if anyone's interested)
6. Land C of O and sales agreement
7. C of O of their residential house
8. Marriage certificate

FYI, they didn't submit any tax certificate, I was a bit worried about that but thank God it didn't matter. Now to start hunting for cheap tickets! cheesy
I'm in the process of applying for my husband and son as dependants and my mum as a visitor. Can you please share a sample of the cover letters for both?
Thank you in anticipation of your kind gesture
