As an educator, the practice of limiting employment age of some jobs to say 24 years is one of the major destructive factors in our education! It must be stopped! Parents are desperate to have their children graduate at 19years so that he/she can secure these jobs. But what can a 19 year old lad know that makes him ready for the world out there? The main problem is not even the young age at graduation. The greater problem is the defective learning process the lad has been put through. When he was supposed to playing and developing foundational creative and problem solving skills, he would be compelled to cram things that are beyond him. This very precious opportunity at below 5 years is lost and may never to undone! This insane practice of limiting jobs for very young graduates must be STOPPED! |
Dangote...a childhood friend? How old is Hadiza Bala to be childhood friend to Baba Aliko Dangote? That part get as e be. |
SmartyPants:What was he looking at before she became such a loose young woman. Now he is taking out his failure on the girl. The stupid father does not consider the psychological damage the daughter would suffer as a result of the public disgrace. Such rashness is the same character the daughter has displayed. All the people who could not consider the issue profoundly, shame on you. |
The Woman was made for Man--Bible. But the natural man CANNOT understand the things of the spirit. If anyone understands the purity of those words of God, that is the best form of relationship. |
NwaAmaikpe:When you recognize and accept the sacrifice and salvation of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit leads you away from sin. Homosexuality is a deviation from God's ordinance. Holy Spirit will never lead you towards such! |
Where did Aborode's father say herdsmen killed his son? He didn't say so, at least in this interview. We should be careful of misleading headlines on Nairaland. Killing Aborode is nothing beyond the Fulani but his father didn't say so. |
“One of the swiftest ways of destroying a kingdom is to give preference of one particular tribe over another or show favor to one group of people rather than another. And to draw near those who should be kept away and keep away those who should be drawn near” From Col. Dangiwa's letter to President Buhari. I agree totally. |
When the consequences of wicked denying the death of innocent people start visiting his family, no ne will be able to save him including those he is lying for. |
It is good that NANS is talking about these issues. Seyi Makinde is known as a listening leader. I am sure something will be done. And let the guilty AMOTEKUN operatives be sanctioned and prosecuted. |
I think most of earliest comments on any topic on nairaland are the most shallow and unintelligent and immature. My observation. |
The comments here generally show people who just went to school and have very little understanding of how a modern society works. How can an educated person be defending soldiers forcefully shaving a man's head! We have departed military regime 21 yrs ago yet our people still are incredibly ignorant of civil and human rights. #ShameOnUs |
Antoeni:Nice Pained One. Don't continue in bitterness. |
Please, what can you say about this condition of my daughter. She has not been eating for 4days now. We force her to eating eat. She rejects her favourite food-bread(she can eat bread for Africa!); also rejects dodo, noodles, meat, cake, biscuits, golden morn. She has fever. But she is as playful and ever. Not one sign of sickness except loss of appetite and fever. What can you say is up with her? Thank you. |
It depends. What if you have more than 20 employees in your school. The survival fund restricts the number of staff that can be registered. So what if your account was not among those registered? Won't you want to get a share of the palliative? That's why I say it depends. If the school owner is transparent about the sharing among other staff, you don't have (good) reason not to cooperate. My 2 cents. |
Such news as this should not grace front page. Seun, don't promote insensitive posts on nairaland. |
Nigerian leaders and their penchant for inanities! Few governors showed some Leadership though, Oyo governor especially. My child's school in Ibadan is vacating today. The children play all they want. Physical distance? Yinmu. The school asked them to come with masks. But it is all for political correctness. Some government officials still go around, the school said. As you you guess the masks hang under the chin, Nigerian style. No child, nor staff, nor parent has died or hospitalized through Covid-19. Any government in Nigeria planning another shutdown is playing with fire. |
Government should be careful now. The citizens won't just lie down and trod up by unreasonable and thoughtless policies. |
In fact there is no NEED for him to present budget to NASS. Let him spend the money anyhow. According this reasoning of Malami. |
Congratulations! Fisayo Soyombo, keep the flag flying. Just so you know, we were in UI together! |
If you click the link to that news from sun news, the page cannot be found! They must have deleted the nonsense post. |
This Nnamdi Kanu may be the Igbos greatest undoing. |
I just pity Niger Delta! I almost weep for them. The environment is messed up with oil spills and acid rain. There is little infrastructure. Education and Human development is way lower than it should be. And when oil becomes almost useless, they would be left stranded. I weep for Niger Delta. |
I am disappointed in Okowa! He is not being a leader. A leader is meant to be courageous. He should use this development as a reference point for the injustice and gross hypocrisy of the Nigeria system. How can a region be bossing everyone else around, and they are looking like mumu. They control all armed forced except Navy. They control NIMASA, NNPC, Emiefele is a figure head at CBN. MOST OF THESE SOUTHERN CLOWNS CALLED LEADERS ARE ONLY COMMITTED TO FIGHTING FOR THEIR POLITICAL FUTURE. |
Welcome to Animal Farm by George Orwell. |
AoA777:Thanks so much. |
Hello all. Pls, is it compulsory I pay with cash at the Bank for APPLICATION FORM for PGD Education? I paid through my debit card yet I am asked to show teller at the study centre. |
Since the police has lost most of their moral authority due to greed, the citizens no longer respect them. Those they have robbed by extortion are taking it out on them. Do you guys know how many police stations have been burnt in the past week? The proper thing was for them to be taken to the police for investigation and prosecution BUT anarchy is looming. Some order need to be restored and hence the military action even if wrong. Guys, you don't want to imagine a society without any law and order! No police, no deterrent, no nothing! If this goes unchecked, people's businesses or your employers businesses will be looted en masse. Some of these guys borrowed money to start the business for goodness sake! Complete anarchy is a good citizen's nightmare, unless you are one of the looters. |
Kingdemu:So when you child disobeys you, you cut off her head, abi? |
mainkendo:Let's even say Revolution has a 50/50 chance of positive outcome. What has been happening in Nigeria for several years now is not normal. So something has to give! #How can Nigeria of 200m have more extremely poor people than India with 1.2 billion population? #How can the police be publicly, openly, 'rightfully' be extorting people on the highway? #How can EFFC and other anti corruption agencies be the cesspool of corruption such that the corrupt policemen bribe to be seconded there? #How can money meant for police operations be annually embezzled by the high UPS in the police? #How can soldiers be sent to fight Boko Haram with insufficient arms and ammunition? #How can a country with the highest number of poorest people have a legislature that earns most in the world? Let me just pause for now. So you see, my friend, that revolution must come. It is just a matter of time. Maybe the time has come. |
Awol1:Let by gone be by gone. |
Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, leading all others as usual. He first opened terminal classes in July when all others were uncertain and looking at where the wind will blow. He had set the date for school resumption for Sept 21 over a month ago. God has blessed Oyo State with a visionary leader. Nobody should come mention party here o. |
