frosbel2:I am not blaming the wife that it happened once,or twice.Obviously from the story this Pastor had been sleeping with the maid and the wife was not sensitive about the goings on,especially because of her numerous trips.Husbands shine your eye.Wives shine your eye.You are your spouses keeper, be very interested in their body and sexual status ,because anyone can be weak and vulnerable at anytime. Also I am not blaming the wife, but pointing out that there was a gap in their normal matrimonial togetherness. In the same scripture I quoted ,we discover that when It comes to fidelity, not everyone is very strong,so find strenght in the arms of your Husband or wife.1 Corinthians 7:1-11 Now regarding the questions you asked in your letter. Yes, it is good to abstain from sexual relations.a2But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband. 3The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. 4The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6I say this as a concession, not as a command. 7But I wish everyone were single, just as I am. Yet each person has a special gift from God, of one kind or another. 8So I say to those who aren’t married and to widows—it’s better to stay unmarried, just as I am. 9But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust. 10But for those who are married, I have a command that comes not from me, but from the Lord.b A wife must not leave her husband. 11But if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to him. And the husband must not leave his wife. |
notice that the wife of the pastor was always away on numerous journeys. The Bible clearly states that the devil will tempt such a couple:1 Corinthians 7:5 "Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control." |
Are you a nigerian at all?Pastoral Fulani people are constant rape offenders as well as troublemakers. They graze their cattle on peoples farm produce, kill the farmers, rape the women and rob highways as much as they can.And they perpetrate this evil from Niger in the north ,to cameroun in the east, benin in the west and delta to the south. It is a well known story.Let us keep prayin for our country. In fact ,inter tribal conflict with Fulanis has caused many people in nigeria to become IDPs.Let us also pray for the Fulanis that God will give them a heart of love drake2: |
that's a great one bro.Keep it up.Please can you educate us a little about the aerodynamics of your aircraft as well as the the rotor characteristics and motor technology .Gracias |
justynneke:I have started already.Let me use this opportunity to solicit your support for this cause. Are you with me? |
Its very sad that many nairalanders in this thread are busy making very insensitive comments and blaming the poor man instead of pushing for government legislation against improper animal handling. Many animal owners in Nigeria let their animal wreck havoc on lives and property without any punishment or control. Please lets struggle for government legislation to regulate issues like this |
ozoigbondu:You need to understand some things about your country's history first before you make your contribution. 1. The Sardauna of Sokoto is a Sokoto caliphate title that is a very senior royal official. As at the pre-colonial period, the sokoto caliphate was the headquarters of all the islamic emirates in the area from Niger republic to kwara state. All the islamic emirates were ruled by direct family descendants of Usmanu Ibn Fodiye or his close friends and courtiers(A contemporary example is SLS of Kano). The Sokoto caliphate is the head quarters of all muslims in the areas described above. 2.The fulani sokoto caliphate and its consequent fulani emirates are an extension of other fulani muslim empires spanning a significant portion of west africa south of the sahara desert-In effect ,Fulanis controlled a significant portion of west africa and still control a significant portion of Nigeria as our Northern Caliphs and emirs are all fulani as earlier stated. 3.The Sardauna of Sokoto was knighted by her majesty Queen Elizabeth 4.Sir Ahmadu Bello (June 12, 1910 – January 15, 1966) was a Nigerian politician, and was the first premier of the Northern Nigeria region from 1954-1966. He was the Sardauna of Sokoto and one of the prominent leaders in Northern Nigeria alongside Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, both of whom were prominent in negotiations about the region's place in an independent Nigeria. As leader of the Northern People's Congress, he dominated Nigerian politics throughout the early Nigerian Federation and the First Nigerian Republic. 5.He was born in Rabbah, Sokoto State. The son of a district head and heir to the Sokoto Caliphate, his great-grandfather was Sultan Bello, the founder of Sokoto and son of the revered Shaykh Usman Dan Fodio 6.After returning from Britain, he was nominated to represent the province of Sokoto in the regional House of Assembly. As a member of the assembly, he was a notable voice for northern interest and embraced a style of consultation and consensus with the major representatives of the northern emirates: Kano, Bornu and Sokoto. In the first elections held in Northern Nigeria in 1952, Sir Ahmadu Bello won a seat in the Northern House of Assembly, and became a member of the regional executive council as minister of works. Bello was successively minister of Works, of Local Government, and of Community Development in the Northern Region of Nigeria. 7. In conclusion,The sardauna could afford such a house without being corrupt based on his pedigree .The fact is that he was not a teacher(1931-1934) most of his life .I strongly suspect that the house in the picture was an official residence though i'm not sure whether it was based on royalty or government service. So, let us make comments after some basic research, you will find out that it brings out the beauty of this country,or reveals areas for improvement.no pun intended |
guys and gurls the moral of the story is that we should always tell our spouse right from the onset about our sexual history from childhood to adulthood. In the end its more advantageous |

I really feel bad about this lady because she didn't set out in life to sleep with 10000 guys, maybe she was even a virgin till those bastards raped her and altered her destiny. This type of scenario happened to someone i know and i can feel the pain such women are in.Therefore I plead to all guys please don't rape girls and women because it messes them up and the law of karma will catch up with you -it is a cycle that will happen to someone in your family so dont sow those ugly seeds |
you didn't know because unlike other countries that emphasize knowledge of national history especially in school as well as secularly,Nigeria has been lax in this regard, and that is why people from south west, south east and south south believe that if you are from the north then you must be Hausa which is a very big lie because there are hundreds of non Hausa tribes indigenous to the north. That is why I will forever support schemes like NYSC as well as encouraging Nigerians to become curious about the heritage of their country ; read, interact, mix up and travel to all the corners of this great nation, make friends from every corner and trust me you will discover a lot of useful information. And when you become a leader in this county you will discover that you will be a leader that will do justice and make a great impact. goofyone: |
Spyde:Bros can I say something honestly to you?You need to step -up your game.Gbam.Opportunity meets everyone but only the prepared take it.Use this opportunity to get every form of identification you need from international passport to national ID, to drivers license to voters card etc.Trust me ,if you are hooping to catch opprtunity , you will need all these documents. My little words of wisdom |
Bros dont you know that naira goma is in hausa language? FYI |
I want to see this use and dump issue from a biblical perspective. When God created a woman because of Adam , it was so that she could be a help for him. Then the Bible further said that Husbands must love their wives as Christ loved the Church ,for the wives , the bible said that wives should submit to their husbands. My submission is that any man in a relationship with a woman owes her love and care and nurture. The period of his relationship with her, he must pursue her development emotionally, intellectually,health-wise, financially , spiritually , socially,career-wise and any other positive way.If he does these things, then even if they are not together any longer, the guy has played his part in her life by adding value and so he is fair.It is worthy of note that sex is not the only way a man uses a woman-it could be emotionally, financially, socially, etc, but a major way that hurts women the most is in terms of the time, commitment, love and sacrifices they make for their guy.Summarily, guys pls dont commit a womans emotions when you know that you are not going all the way with her, girls don't give what will hurt you till he takes you to the altar coz all this will amount to using and dumping whether na guy or girl |
what these guys did is commendable, but the most commendable thing is the contribution of their department by funding the project to the tune of 4million.The truth is that the only difference between the west and others is the amount of money they spend in sponsoring research and projects such as these .With this new attitude, there is no doubt that Nigeria will move forward, and our youth will be encouraged to do even greater and novel works |
gadogado:@gadogado,I was tempted to let sleeping dogs lie,but I want to let you know that it is obvious that you need to have a rethink and apply caution on the manner in which you defend your opinions. And in case you are hausa by tribe better verify your roots to find out if you are not originally a slave that has been hausarized. |
1. I was not referring to only one gender in my post 2. S.e.xual assault does not have to be of a physical nature, it could be an assault on your mind(thoughts), consciousness, sub-consciousness 3.No matter how disciplined you are (Talking about men here specifically) constant exposure to the type of assault described in point No 2 above is going to weaken your discipline over time:the outcome of this weakening could be dirty thoughts and or dirty actions/activities.Only very few men are naturally exempt from this circumstantial eventuality. 4.If most men are weak, then we can start from somewhere to help them out-advocate for decency not just in dressing, but also in the media;there will be a marked improvement in discipline due to the reduction of this stimuli(eye candy) and sensual propaganda bombarding the average guy 5.If one woman decides to dress provocatively ,i may not complain , but if loads of women are dressing provocatively , then it is a war on my fragile sanity which i am trying to preserve with great effort.I find such carelessness selfish, inconsiderate, sexist and chauvinistic. 6.I believe that we can still be happy without inconveniencing others if we just make little sacrifices, which i am ready to make EfemenaXY: |
EfemenaXY:whether you like it or not,the proliferation of semi-nude dressing, sensual dressing or any dressing that emphasizes sexuality whether it is perpetrated by men or women is actually sexual assault.Science ,religion and nature has proven that increased sensual dressing in any society has led to higher sexual consciousness resulting in proliferation of various sexual activities mostly of the immoral category |
If you like this guy: 1.Try to find out if he is the shy type 2.Try to find out if he has any commitments 3.Try to find out if he has any reservations/intimidation about you or the guy(s) around you 4.You can answer no 1-3 by opening up communication with him on the platform of lectures, assignments and other relevant school stuff and then progress it through friendly platonic acquaintance. This is a process , so it may take time especially if the case is true for 1-3. 5.If you find out he has no 2, then you know whatsup 6.If he has no 3, then you need to understand whether its about you or your friend(s).If its about you , then he wont be free with you but will be free with your friend(s).If its your friend(s), he will be friendly to you but not your friend(s). 7.No 1 and 3 are remediable if you are patient , tactful and define your goals 8.There is absolutely nothing wrong in guiding a guy into a sensible friendship/relationship,you may just be the break he needs in life and you have the capacity to leave an indelible mark in his life 9.I am writing all these under the assumption that you have observed this guy to be a responsible individual. Bon adventur |
i want to believe you were invited Akexstinger. Akexstinger: Even those who knew how to use autocad Practically couldn't answer the questions that came out. It was for those who did autocad in school. In school curriculum, u are taught the theoretical aspect of it before moving unto practical aspect. The questions were purely just 2D questions. |
im Beng Mech ,wrote the test(ship design).i must say that this test is actually an accurate measure of autocad proficiency-Nice work.I must also agree with mathmatica about hanging around the right peeps for information-I think we are misunderstanding the message he is passing across.all the people i met at the test including myself knew about the application through friends or colleagues .this may not mean that he doesn't have a job(I am a practicing engineer all the way from Abuja in power)......Its a training opportunity, remember....... wishing everyone success. Please shed some light on the process -i learnt that Hyundai did something like this earlier this year |
yup, the test was quite a toughie-not your regular autocad ! i can say that it would be a good assessment of ones autocad skills and knowledge.i wrote mine in lagos. |
TZUM-TZUM: (LOSS OF A HERITAGE) I strummed your cheerful dandy strings And chanted sweet songs of rural bliss My dancing damsels willing pleased Like zephyrs in warm summer breeze Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum With you I found Agorok’s charming hills And made beautiful music in Bajju’s frills The halls of Rumaya and Jaba’s rocks And harvested delight in Chawai’s fields Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum With each new note the passion rose And fearful thoughts the passion froze Your music sweet like the crimson rose A pleasant gift from a lover close Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum It was you by the market square Where ebony maidens pure and fair Abandoned all fear and all their care And danced their hearts for your fare Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum The ancients at the watering holes Raised their gourds without a care For they knew it would be always filled For as long as you are there Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum Pluck those enchanted chords again And make those scales bring back to me The ecstasy of our mother tongue’s Sweet, refreshing melodies Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum Alas our wretched modern care Denies our souls your blissful rural cheer And like the fleeting, passings tear Your memory makes its passage here Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum A pilgrim, I sought your temple where Last I heard your sacred notes Mountains high and valleys low All is lost as you are lost from there Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum How betide a sad decline As thy silent slip from time Who was once its beloved cheery bard And companion handed down Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum And how may I mark thy loss Speak thy words or take thy cross Too suddenly taken away A sentiment so deep to us Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum And so I seek thy dying bed Where your mortal wounds had bled Untended, forgotten By the sons you bred Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum With your loss I shake my head Filling my heart now is dread For what the fathers handed down Is thrown out for a piece of bread! Tzum-Tzum Tzum-Tzum Vicdugavi Vencedor(vicdugavi@yahoo.com) 3-11-13 Note: The Tzum-Tzum is a traditional musical instrument native to the indigenous peoples of Southern Kaduna*.It is made of reeds, plucked with the thumbs and is a type of harp. It is fast disappearing from our culture because our language and culture are fast disappearing. I have been trying to secure one for the past two years but have been unsuccessful .So I decided to write this piece for it, hoping that its memory as well as that of our culture will be passed to my generations “peradventure our culture doesn’t survive (lol)”.May the music of the Tzum-Tzum and by extension, our identity, live on! |
