PoliticsRe: NBA Declares State Of Emergency, Demands Immediate Release Of Judges by Herrmes: 12:05am On Oct 09, 2016
Pennywise:
Nigerians need to come out in the streets to demonstrate against the enemies of Nigeria.

The NBA is number one among them - a den of corruption. Fixers of Judgements.

Little boys and girls are being made SAN everyday who in turn pull off spectacular judgements using paid judges. How long do they expect this would last.

These lawyers are not speaking for the integrity of the bench they are afraid for themselves because they know they are well known to law enforcement and they will be next.

Real legal practice in Nigeria is dead. Just corrupt wheelers and dealers.

This raid is a victory of good over evil, a necessary first step that should have been done a long time since Buhari was sworn in.

The NBA after declaring their state of emergency should do the next logical thing and disband.
I really question your wisdom, the necessary first step here should be to follow the law.

Story for the gods. Let them go and defend the money they were caught with. Even though totally crude, these judges had to. Be caught red handed with their loot and disgraced. Or we will be joking when we try to sanitize the judiciary as they will keep playing games around their corrupt practices. Now let them be dismissed by the judicial council as they have been caught red handed. Obviously DSS is tailing a lot of people and they have eyes and ears where people don't realize.
DSS don't have anything, they would have followed the right procedure if they did.

i surely don't get this, it seems we have over rate the power of the NJC, Judges are not exempt from investigations, a fellow Judge would have given the dss a warrant they won't just go in just like that, and the funny part is the judges will be tried by their fellow Judges.
Do you serve warrants in raids?
PoliticsRe: NBA Declares State Of Emergency, Demands Immediate Release Of Judges by Herrmes: 11:44pm On Oct 08, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
The DSS is talking of over $500,000 of bribe money found in a house of a judge and Lawyers are talking anarchy.

When will we have lawyers fighting to curb the corruption in the Judicial system.

Even though NJC backs them.
Prove it's bribe money to a court, lock them up. You can't do things like what the Department of State Security is doing in a democracy.

TheGoodJoe:

What are people like you saying about the open support of corruption by the NJC? You guys are more bothered about the DSS arresting your Judges with bribe money in their possession, instead of fuming at the gross corruption in the Judiciary.

BAFFLING.

The SSS initially submitted parts of its findings to the regulatory body, the National Judicial Council. Officials said the SSS moved in after the council merely recommended two of the judges for retirement, and not prosecution.

The council also refused to cooperate with the SSS as the agency launched wider investigations into the cases for more evidence. The source explained that judges whose homes were raided include Adeniyi Ademola, and Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court in Abuja as well as Sylvester Ngwuta and John Okoro of the Supreme Court.

Akuko. Ghana did it and their judiciary is not even as terrible as ours. Every corrupt judge should be killed by firing squad angry
No person let alone a corrupt judge is above the law.
Do you even know what the law is?

Juxtified:
Our politics especially as youths has to go beyond Buhari vs GEJ, APC vs PDP, north vs south, etc. it is one of the shackles dragging us back as a nation.

On the issue of the IMF list, I still maintain it smells fishy. We all know the IMF a strong political tool of the US, and along with the World Bank, a major way it (the US) controls its puppet nations. Only few would fail to note the stark coincidence between the timing of this list and the refusal of the present administration to dance to their tunes just a few months ago.
As in, do you really mean to tell me that you believe Nigeria is not one of the top 5 fastest growing economies in Africa at present, not to talk of a Top 15 list?
Conspiracy theories.

Mr or Mrs wisdom unlimited calling others names cos you disagree with them is not "ignorant"... well done, felt like setting you straight though....,

Not everything is emotional driven... education enhances life & living but it still is a LUXURY when there are options locally...

Dubai furnitures last longer & are more beautiful but it becomes a luxury when you have to sweat to acquire...

Some send their kids to GHANA!! undecided Ghana in the name of foreign education when Babcock & Convenant are right there...

Fyi, I have people doing graduate studies abroad after 1st degree back here but that doesn't make it less of a Luxury, Unilag & UNN also have PG schools!!!
How many years until you get admission into the school you want to study the course you want? Maybe you are okay with settling, some people aren't, excluding your f-cked up educational system.
BusinessRe: Dollar Scarcity: Parents Of Overseas Students Weep In Banks by Herrmes: 11:40am On Feb 20, 2016
Lol, y'all MFs that are calling foreign students to come back home are stupid, with your stupid ass educational system and the number of people queuing up every year to get into schools, how can you guarantee them the admission into schools they want, studying the course they want to, I school broad and make more than enough cash to feed myself, I ain't bothered by this sh-t.

No I'm not, I don't depend on my Naira ATM, I don't even need it, and all would never be well with Nigeria, it doesn't matter who is in power, 16 years from now there would still be power outages, there would still be corruption among the ranks, it's the only way Nigeria can thrive.
