when u pick the new date and it clears u, make a screenshot immediately and print out. Just take that to the high commission.. do not go back to log in as the past appointment will keep coming up when you re-log in. Just go with the new screenshot showing the new date
Thank you so much sir.

Good evening all,

Has anyone had an experience with rescheduling biometrics capture for Nigerian passport in London please?

I booked biometrics for 19th September and after a few weeks, it was announced as a public holiday for the Queen's burial. I've been trying to pick a new date since then but each time I reschedule, it allows me to pick future dates but then defaults to the past date again.

I have been calling the NHC numbers but haven't been able to reach anyone, no response to emails either.

I will really appreciate some advice on this.

Thank you.

Was the flight cancelled and rescheduled or
outright cancellation?
Outright cancellation. I couldn't cancel by myself via the booking portal, so I called customer service and they said my only option was a full refund via the voucher. I went for it as it was better than nothing.

This was way before the flight was then cancelled by the airline as I am hearing now.

To make matters worse BA cancelled its yesterday flight from lagos , meaning all those passengers Will now be subjected to the new process. Very stressful and upsetting

May your mum soul continue to rest in peace. Hopefully soon its will all be settled. So tired of covid and its disruptions
Can't believe they canceled that flight shocked You won't believe how much we paid for that flight and I bet other people possibly paid even more. I suspected this ban thing coming, hence my last post which you kindly provided some advice on. My person couldn't meet up anyway but we got a BA eVoucher

So sorry about your loss @justwise and I pray your travel is sorted quickly

This was quite common with BA and airlines few years ago, I remember always having to go to their booking office in Heathrow to make the payment as an alternative...but I noticed recently that this been removed and you can make payment without the need for the card at checkin

However it was put there in the first place because of fraudulent card activities from naija so maybe as they removed it, they seen an influx and put that restriction back again.

I don't know if they still have booking offices in Heathrow or nigeria. That might an option to book it there or verify it before the flight ....but I went to Heathrow last week for klm and noticed no more booking office in Heathrow for KLM
Thank you so much, this is a good option. Will try and get hold of their CS today.

Hi all, would appreciate some urgent advice please if anyone is online at the moment.

Trying to book an urgent flight for someone from Nigeria and Virgin has notified me that the person has to come with the card I'm using for the booking before check in. They mentioned that the flight would be canceled and money forfeited if this requirement is not met.

I have read some threads online and some people sorted this by sending a photo of the card to the traveler (as well as a letter to prove that they indeed booked the flight for the traveler), but have also seen comments of people who were denied check in because of this.

Does anyone have any experience with this please, especially while traveling from Nigeria? Due to timing, flight duration and some other factors, the traveler has to use Virgin.

The traveler's last name is the same with the last name on the card used for booking the flight.

I did deedpoll because I dropped my birth middle name and replaced it with my maiden name

If you are only dropping your maiden name to your married name then you dont need deed poll. Your marriage certificate is sufficient to change the name on your passport . This information is online, let me share a screen shot . Just make sure the new application form is filled with the married name
Thank you so much, I appreciate

Since you living in the UK you focus on the one the Uk government require.
Whenever you decide to move back to Nigeria permanently or as the case may be you do the Nigerian method.
Besides by the time you renew her passport for Uk, her name would have been correctly to ur name so you won’t need to worry about change of name in Nigeria.....
Hope this makes sense..
Yes, it does. Thank you so much.

Regarding your question, this is what I’ve searched out ...

Link is below
https://www.gov.uk/change-name-deed-poll

Yes, this is the deed poll method I mentioned earlier. Just wondering how this might affect our Nigerian documents and passport

Hello everyone, please has anyone been able to do a name change after marriage here in the UK?

I have done some research and via deed poll is what's mostly recommended.

My confusion is, do we need to do it the UK way or Nigerian way (publishing on newspaper etc)?

Also, how do we go about this on our Nigerian passport?

I'll really appreciate some guidance.

Thanks all.

Cc: Justwise Lexusgs430 LagosismyHome wonlasewonimi or anyone who understands the process please

If you want to park in front of your house just get a place with it’s own private drive or private parking slot. Only disabled residents can park in front of their property. Street parking in London there’s no guarantee that you will even get a space on your street, talk less of in front of your house.

Wow, thanks so much

Good afternoon everyone,

Please who understands how resident street parking works in England?

I'm about to rent a flat without a parking space, it's in a Controlled Parking Zone. I've done some research but what I find weird is that after paying for permit, there's no guarantee that I'll park in front of my flat - I'll just get a slot on the street.

No car yet, I intend getting a car early next year.

Has anyone lived in such a street please? The flat is nice, just want to know if it's worth the stress.

South East London if that helps.

Thanks.

The rate at which this is going I just hope £1,000 will not be equivalent to 1m before the end of the year

It's highly likely we'll be back to 400s after Rona is over

I don't even know what those two means.

Bank top up is normal bank transfer

Good morning awesome people. Here's my latest:

MoneyFex transfer rate is currently N546 to £1

I used them last night at 10Pm after hearing some good stuff about them. I was credited this morning. This is my first transaction with them, so I can't really tell how fast they are as they needed to complete my identity check.

I used their website https://moneyfex.com/

I'm not affiliated to any of them, I just like sharing so that others can benefit

I just finished watching 13th on Netflix. It's a documentary about the oppression of the blacks in America. It was eye opening, provocative and made me angry at the level of injustice to the blacks. If you can, watch it and you might learn a lot.
Saw it last weekend and highly recommend it too

I boil my water, cool it. Then garnish it and drink away.

Besides I'm not keen on consuming DEHA and I try to reduce the amount of plastic waste in circulation.

Your choice Las Las .
Do you still get water-satisfied after drinking it this way? Like, doesn't it feel like you've just had juice or something?

I drink tap water and have been drinking it for years. It's safe to drink. If I don't fancy tap water, I drink orange juice instead.

The tap water is safe to drink but I personally prefer to buy bottled water.
the 17p ASDA or Lidl water is good or you could go for SASKIA from Lidl which I think is £1.09 for a pack of 6.
Thanks boss. This Asda is pretty much the way forward then

Tap water is safe to drink but people have their own personal preferences.
For me, when I'm in London for work, I don't drink tap water. It doesn't have a good taste and I think it's because the water is hard. But when I'm at home in NE Scotland, tap water it is.

Okay, thanks

If you use a kettle, to boil that lovely cup of tea/coffee in the mornings.......

Ask yourself this question, does that kettle have limescale buildup? If your answer is yes.........

You might need to buy descaling tablets, to descale your inside organs........ grin
Hmm I have noticed this but never seen it as a big deal. Please what do you drink?

tap is fine as I have drank it for years before (but with a water filter jug) but I don't like the taste of just tap water so I buy the Asda 17p water for 2L (which is stil tap water just filtered and cheap ) ………….. so this is personal preference
Alright, thanks a lot.
