The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, shared his story as a young resident of Lagos State, describing himself as a Lagosian who knows virtually every part of the Centre of Excellence.
The 75-year-old said this during an interactive session at the Nigerian Guild of Editors in Lagos, where he was invited to discuss his plans for the country with regard to education, economy, security, and national unity, among others.
“I’ve lived in Lagos since 1969, married in Lagos. I was here when all the roads, bridges, and flyovers were built – in my presence. There is no part in Lagos I have not lived,” Atiku said.
The PDP candidate reeled off a list of Lagos neighbourhoods he resided in, including Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Aguda, and Anthony Village along Ikorodu Road.
“I saw Lagos being built, from the old Carter Bridge. I tell people that we used to trek from V.I. to 1 Brickfield Road, Ebute Metta on foot to attend classes and then go back on foot. So, I must let you understand, I’m a Lagosian.

I married very early, that Is five years ago, immediately i started working. Immediately we gave Birth to our first child, I was sacked from my place of work in a mysterious way. All our house equipment was sold, we left a comfortable apartment to a single room.
At a time, I was doing menial jobs just for us to feed. One day, in the process of seeking for solution to get my job back, I got to a church, and the pastor asked me to come with my wife, which I did, to my surprise, the pastor asked my wife, why are you afraid for your husband to have money? You are thinking if he makes money he will marry other women, he said pls pray for your husband to succeed, he is bigger than this.
And he asked my wife to come back for deliverance, but she refused.
Secondily, I went to another place, a spirituallist, and a female, she said I married wrongly, that the girl I was supposed to marry I missed it. She said I should come with my wife, and I did, she said my wife has another spirit, that she feels the marriage will not last...but till today, nothing I put hand dey work, most times we live together but never discuss together, we just live like strangers at home, and most time I regret getting married. I don't really know what to do now, I can't support my parents like before, they are not happy with me...
pls I need advice, prayers and support.
God will help you. Everybody with his own dilemma.

Meektunz: There is a man i normally go to buy bread every evening at his Provision store, who seems very nice. Whenever i go to his shop, he hugs me and ask after my wife and children. I use to think he was just so caring and i never gave it any meaning.... What shocked me today was when I went to buy bread this evening then he pleaded with me to help him i send and install WhatsApp in his phone, I was doing that when a Facebook message popped up and without hesitation i opened it. Guess what i saw; Hmmmm, i saw more than 30 messages from different men whom they've had sex and telling each other i miss you, this and that.... If you see what i saw Hmmmm. How can a normal human being be calling his fellow man baby, sweetheart, I love you...etc So the man is a gay. God i never expected that he was gay because he is an elderly man who is in his 50s. Those he mostly had sex with according to his chats with them are young guys around 27,28,29... Etc.
I know a number of friends and colleagues who goes in marriage because of societal views and family pressure yet the guy himself is a wife to another guy in the office.
I kid you not marriage eventually collapse after 18 months due to no commitments. You can't force something that is not natural.
