According to reports, Mr Agabi who was ground commander of Anglican Church in Mereje town and Ward 7PDP Chairman, -just moved into his newly completed building not up to 6 months before his gruesome murder.

He was hacked to death by unknown assailant(s) with a machete. May his soul rest in peace.

According to reports by her family members and friends, Chisom was abandoned and left unattended to deal with labour pains and other pregnancy complications at the Magodo Specialist Hospital...

She was said to have had two children at the same hospital before she went there to deliver the third which later turned out to be 'a great mistake. The level of pride that goes on in a nite club is way too much to the extent that you might get punched for something as little as stepping on someone’s toes mistakenly, even after apologizing. That amount you spent on that bottle is exactly what many work every month just to earn. Christians should stay away from such influences.

2. Worldly music concerts

Apart from the foul lyrics in the songs played and the excessive use of hard drug in such concerts, something else goes on unnoticed- People are made to worship Satan. When Jay-Z tells fans at his concert to use their hands to make a sign, most don’t know that it is a sign of Satan. Akon does something similar too. This is tantamount to pledging allegiance to the power behind the sign. Just as people did the Nazi salute to Hitler, Christians in such concerts pledge allegiance to Satan by observing those signs.

3. Political rallies

You pledge allegiance to political parties when you attend their rallies and repeat their slogans. These parties don’t care about you, that’s why they’ve been failing you for years. Their goal is to amass wealth while they impoverish you. The only time they remember you is when they give you crumbs just to attend their rallies where you might get stampeded or shot by political thugs of rival parties.

4. Protests grounds

Protests can be peaceful while some can be bloody. The bloody ones most times end with shops and stores looted and people killed by riot policemen. The reason why I wouldn’t want Christians to join the peaceful ones is that we don’t always know the intention of the organizers. Some of them usually get paid to stage such, while some get paid to call it off thereby disappointing all those who thought the protest will lead to a good solution to their problems.

5. Pagan festivals

Pagan festivals are beginning to look well packaged and fun, unlike what they were known to be- bloody rituals. This is why some Christians think it is cool to partake in Eyo masquerade festival or in Halloween. We shouldn’t allow the fact that these festivals have been reformed to look cool. Their root is what should bother us and keep us away from partaking in such.

6. Prosperity preaching churches

These churches blindfold you and prevent you from preparing for the hard times Christians are about to face. Many Christians are getting persecuted in Iraq and the whole Middle East, but all they make you concerned about is how the New Year will be your year and how you will get undeserved favor from God. That is why people go to church because of what they want from God, not what they want to give in service to God. But if a church besides their gets bombed one Sunday, I can bet you that theirs will be empty the following Sunday. Why? Because they don’t want to die before receiving their undeserved prosperity from God.

7. Social media

I can’t say you should stay away from social media, but use it wisely. Satan desires every good thing which he aims to destroy, that is why there are so many fowl spirits on social media these days influencing people wrongly. Agents are currently using it to demonize marriage and even promote divorce which they make no big deal of by appearing blissful in pictures after the break up. Don’t be fooled; it is only the wearer of the shoes that know where it hurts. Don’t let the glamour you see make you feel sad about your status. Most of them are fake. Not using social media wisely is one of the reasons why some women hated their husband for not being able to buy them the things a Nollywood Actress’ husband bought her. Well, what a relief to discover that those things were actually bought by the lady herself and not her husband. Those celebs you follow, why do you follow them?

The chairman of Capital Oil and Gas limited, Andy Ubah has described his arrest by the Department of State Services as a complete attempt to blackmail him.

The oil magnate said the claim by the DSS that he was involved in theft of petrol kept by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in his tank farm in Lagos was a wrong accusation.

The agency on Friday picked up Ubah over his connection with the missing petroleum product, which was valued at over N11bn.

The department said Ubah’s action amounted to economic sabotage, with “capacity to negatively impact on national economy”.

Reacting, however, in a statement issued on Monday and obtained by DAILY POST, Ubah said his arrest by the DSS was a breach of his fundamental right to liberty, freedom of movement and association.

The statement signed by the management of the company said all the allegations leveled against their boss, Ubah were false and unfounded.

The statement reads in full.

The incarceration of our Chairman by DSS is unlawful, a disregard for the rule of law and a breach of Dr. Ubah’s fundamental right to liberty, freedom of movement and association.

A similar invitation was extended to Dr. Ubah on the 24th of March 2017, which he honoured as a law-abiding citizen only to be detained in DSS offices in Abuja for almost a month.

During that period a Fundamental Rights Enforcement Application was brought on behalf of Dr. Ubah at the Federal High Court Lagos as Suit No. FHC/L/C/487/2017.

Although an order was made for his production in court in that action, rather than obey the order, officers DSS, using a combination of coercion and cajoling, constrained him to discontinue that action upon an understanding that he would be immediately released. He was not released until over two weeks after he had complied and completely discontinued that action.

Upon his release on the 13th of April 2017, it was now discovered that during his incarceration he had been coerced into executing various documents committing the company to make certain payments and pledge some assets to NNPC Retail Limited. He was also made to execute a document in favour of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

As soon as his doctors permitted access to him an action was brought at the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court seeking, inter alia, an order to restrain DSS and others from further inviting, arresting or threatening to arrest or detain him in regard to the NNPC/NNPC Retail Ltd matters.

The processes originating the new action filed as Suit No. FHC/L/CS/644/2017, were served on the DSS on the 28th of April 2017.

Dr. Ubah’s lawyers wrote to the DSS pointing out that any preemption of the judicial intervention during the pendency of the new action is totally irregular, a disregard of the rule of law, the constitutional guarantees of separation of powers and breach of the doctrine of Lis Pendens.

Rather than respect its constitutional and statutory limits the DSS has brazenly abducted Dr. Ubah and commenced a media blitz to justify their illegality.

THE ACCUSATIONS OF THEFT AND ECONOMIC SABOTAGE ARE COMPLETELY FALSE.

For the avoidance of doubt and to put the records straight, NNPC owes Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited over N16 billion represented as follows:

$5,540,000 (N2.2billion) – unpaid berthing fees for NNPC vessels that called at our Jetty

$2,952,555 (N1billion) – invoice for chartered vessels to carryout STS operations Lagos offshore to ferry product (PMS) to storage at the request of NNPC since 2015

N1.170billion – amount owed to Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited for throughput services from March to October 2016

N3.146billion – payment made to NNPC for 26,820million litres of PMS vide Pro-forma Invoice No. 53598 which is yet to be delivered to us

N2.0billion – Payment to NNPC in April to facilitate the release of the Managing Director and engender reconciliation which NNPC reneged on.

N6.266billion – N0.80k and N0.40 Jetty Throughput charge on over 7 billion liters dispensed for NNPC by us.

On economic sabotage, it is unimaginable that a company which has stood by NNPC and by extension the country at very critical petroleum supply crises can now be accused of engaging in activities to undermine the effective distribution of petroleum products across the country having thwarted a nationwide industrial action called by oil marketers during the epic inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

This house is in Ibadan and this tenant has refused to pay for almost two years now and has also refused to give up the keys despite several promises made by him to vacate.
