For starters the Pastor is a retired RCCG Pastor? Why was he retired? Secondly, he is from Jonathan's geographical area. As a former pastor, I don't think it shows maturity to utter such kind of statements. All the same, expect a rebuttal from RCCG. |
LagosBoi2:Sounds like a plan. I'll donate N50,000 in real slaps. |
Dear Nigerians, All the attacks on Buhari as we approach February 14th is a pointer to the fact that he is giving Jonathan a good run for his money. All the issues being raised against him is not any issues at all. The religion propaganda, region propaganda, and now certificate are really not issues. All that is needed to contest for presidency is a secondary school cert which is recorded for him on INEC portal even though we are aware he has beyond that. The only angle that will really matter is if any corruption allegation can be levelled against him and proven and obviously from all the rantings against him no one has been able to do that. Buhari rather has accolades all over for his stand on corruption. Our greatest challenge in Nigeria is not religion, regional, or education, our greatest challenge is CORRUPTION. It is quite unfortunate that the present PDP govt did not show any commitment on fighting corruption. We are only getting to hear the PDP presidential candidate say what he will fight corruption when re-elected. Dear Nigerians, Let's look closely at the two prominent candidates and what should form basis for our choice should be on one that has proven record on fighting corruption and is ready to keep the fight on. If we tackle corruption, any other challenge we have will naturally fizzle out. Let's make the right choice please and let's stop baseless propaganda. |
shadowgwalker:Get a Michael West dictionary please! If not for anything it can help you construct simple english. |
shadowgwalker:How much were you paid? You are obviously only a christian by birth because you don't gat the character. Some sense wil look good on you. |
masterpower:You know Buhari will regret this election and why it will be his worst? it is because no where in history would there be a record of how mercilessly he will defeat an incumbent. |
Haba Mr President, After six years as president you are still saying how you intend to fight corruption? You said if Buhari was successful in his fight for corruption between 1983-1985 we won't be faced with corruption today. Response for you here is that if for six years you did not build on what was built years back on fighting corruption why won't you be faced with the corruption we see today. Mr president, just as you stated that we are in the state we are today because of the wrong pieces of advice from your advisers. These advisers are only opening holes for you by this speech. |
Haba FFK, First you denied ever going to see GEJ but later accepted and said it was a private visit. Second you denied returning to PDP but later accepted and said it was because APC was fielding a muslim-muslim ticket. Thirdly you denied ever trying to campaign for GEJ but today you the DIRECTOR, MEDIA PUBLICITY FOR GEJ. FFK, you regained a little credibility while you were in APC because nobody was paying you to talk. You talked without inducement. No right thinking Nigerian can (not should) take you serious. I love what OBJ said about you. I quote "Femi fani Kayode is my boy, I know him very well. Give him food and he'll sing for you." |
. . . the car exploded after it drove past the checkpoint . . . Did I just read that? You mean the car conveying the explosives passed the checkpoint and the checkpointers did not see it? Was it police or soldiers there? Hmmm our safety is only in God's hands. |
Oh, he failed his military exams? It means he has more of civilian things in him than military things. That's good for democracy. By the way, the one that passed all his exams (even though we have never seen or heard of his classmates) and even passed up till doctorate, what has that translated to for his governance in Nigeria? How can a Phd holder say mere stealing is not corruption? Dear PDP, Nigeria of today is not like yesterday where all the news you have access to is NTA, RadioNigeria. Nigerians have access to plethora of information outside the censorship of government. Propaganda can no longer work. |
noblezone:Well bad enough even the blind always know when there is light without been told because their senses communicate with the environment. The era of so called non blind telling the "blind" there is light has passed. The "blind" now sees better. |
Reno, A performing president would not need to convince the electorate to re-elect him. Six whole years is enough to silence any critic. If you have to remind us of what your boss has done to deserve reelection then maybe he does not deserve to be reelected. Just my thought. |
Nobody dumped AMAECHI. He will be the SGF. |
. . . But I do not think presidents are elected to do their best. They are elected to work. What do you think please? |
You wrote all these rubbish? The young and the modern president you have, what new ideas has he come with? oh i know, he came up with a new ideology that even a school of thought is still trying to unravel. The ideology is 'STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION! One thing is sure, with GMB winning the primaries, sleep has abandoned you guys. Write all the rubbish you like. |
If you think you are tech savvy all because you know what "LOL" means, let me test your coolness. Any idea what "IWSN" stands for in Internet slang? It's a declarative statement: I want sex now. If it makes you feel any better, I had no clue, and neither did a number of women I asked about it. Acronyms are widely popular across the Internet, especially on social media and texting apps, because, in some cases, they offer a shorthand for communication that is meant to be instant. So "LMK" -- let me know -- and "WYCM" -- will you call me? -- are innocent enough. But the issue, especially for parents, is understanding the slang that could signal some dangerous teen behavior, such as "GNOC,'" which means "get naked on camera." And it certainly helps for a parent to know that "PIR" means parent in room, which could mean the teen wants to have a conversation about things that his or her mom and dad might not approve of. Katie Greer is a national Internet safety expert who has provided Internet and technology safety training to schools, law enforcement agencies and community organizations throughout the country for more than seven years. She says research shows that a majority of teens believe that their parents are starting to keep tabs on their online and social media lives. "With that, acronyms can be used by kids to hide certain parts of their conversations from attentive parents," Greer said. "Acronyms used for this purpose could potentially raise some red flags for parents." But parents would drive themselves crazy, she said, if they tried to decode every text, email and post they see their teen sending or receiving. "I've seen some before and it's like 'The Da Vinci Code,' where only the kids hold the true meanings (and most of the time they're fairly innocuous)," she said. Still, if parents come across any acronyms they believe could be problematic, they should talk with their kids about them, said Greer. But how, on earth, is a parent to keep up with all these acronyms, especially since new ones are being introduced every day? "It's a lot to keep track of," Greer said. Parents can always do a Google search if they stumble upon a phrase they aren't familiar with, but the other option is asking their children, since these phrases can have different meanings for different people. "Asking kids not only gives you great information, but it shows that you're paying attention and sparks the conversation around their online behaviors, which is imperative." Micky Morrison, a mom of two in Islamorada, Florida, says she finds Internet acronyms "baffling, annoying and hilarious at the same time." She's none too pleased that acronyms like "LOL" and "OMG" are being adopted into conversation, and already told her 12-year-old son -- whom she jokingly calls "deprived," since he does not have a phone yet -- that acronym talk is not allowed in her presence. But the issue really came to a head when her son and his adolescent friends got together and were all "ignoring one another with noses in their phones," said Morrison, founder of BabyWeightTV. "I announced my invention of a new acronym: 'PYFPD.' Put your freaking phone down." LOL! But back to the serious issue at hand, below are 28 Internet acronyms, which I learned from Greer and other parents I talked with, as well as from sites such as NoSlang.com and NetLingo.com, and from Cool Mom Tech's 99 acronyms and phrases that every parent should know. After you read this list, you'll likely start looking at your teen's texts in a whole new way. 1. IWSN - I want sex now 2. GNOC - Get naked on camera 3. NIFOC - Naked in front of computer 4. PIR - Parent in room 5 CU46 - See you for sex 6. 53X - Sex 7. 9 - Parent watching 8. 99 - Parent gone 9. 1174 - Party meeting place 10. THOT - That hoe over there 11. CID - Acid (the drug) 12. Broken - Hungover from alcohol 13. 420 - Marijuana 14. POS - Parent over shoulder 15. SUGARPIC - Suggestive or erotic photo 16. KOTL - Kiss on the lips 17. (L)MIRL - Let's meet in real life 18. PRON - Porn 19. TDTM - Talk dirty to me 20. 8 - MouthAction 21. CD9 - Parents around/Code 9 22. IPN - I'm posting naked 23. LH6 - Let's have sex 24. WTTP - Want to trade pictures? 25. DOC - Drug of choice 26. TWD - Texting while driving 27. GYPO - Get your pants off 28. KPC- Keeping parents clueless |
Ha, I will collect the money and the citizenship then after 50yrs I go decamp back to Naija. |
Oga IG of police dont insult our intelligence. Your boss GEJ now sees clearly that Tambuwal is not after contesting for the presidency hence a subtle way of retreating from the fight. Did Tambuwal tell the IG that his life is threatened? |
Fight Malaria ke. Is he contesting for Lagos commissioner of health? We want a governor who sees the bigger picture and not one just singling out a health condition to campaign. |
GEJ, Why are you cutting the subsidy at June 2015? Why not by January 2015 before elections? That's clear deceit! Why are you toying with the lives of Nigerians? Be bold and do the needful. If there is a real need to cut the subsidy by half in 2015 do it by January 1st 2015 and tell us now to prepare for it. But note you have to tell us what you did with the subsidy cut you did some time ago and tell us too what happened to the guys who stole part of cut subsidy. After then we can meet at the polls. |
Guys, anybody can read a written speech. We need a presidential aspirant who can face other contestants in debate to drive home what he stands for and what he intends to achieve and not just to read. Stop expressing the old ways to us. |
saintikechi:Tire abi? Because its not your siblings involved. |
Please someone should tell Fayose that we are interested in all these pettiness he is displaying. This is governance not transport park administration. |
Aksonman:Guy, you dont seem to make a point here. what exactly are you trying to say? |
debosky:WRONG! what we really need now is integrity, that's what has been lacking in our successive leaders. progress starts with the head. If the head is corrupt, corruption is waht you see everywhere. We need a president who has proven integrity( not the type of integrity we see on all campaign posters) so that whoever will work with him is left with no choice than to exhibit integrity. |
tunde705:Rather 15 years is never late to kick out a bad habit. |
I actually don't blame Nolly Wood actors venturing into politics. They really belong there because our politics is nothing short of nollywood. |
There are so many questions that come to mind here. 1. The fact that Boko Haram had more access to military uniforms and hardware clearly shows that they must have a high ranking millitary collaborator. Who is this collaborator? 2. This insurgency gave the military more access to money than they had during Obasanjo. The military can do anything to keep the source of money money. Question is which of the military hierarchy enjoys this money? 3. Why did Ihejirika choose to attack Elrufai who only posted the Australian's exposition and not the Australian who did the exposition? 4. Insurgency can not thrive in any country without the support from the military or the country's leadership or both. Who in the military is supporting the insurgents and who in the presidency is also supporting them. 5. Nigeria's military is very powerful. They are a regional power who have been involved in peace keeping. There is no how Boko Haram can thrive in Nigeria without their efforts being sabotaged by their superiors either through non provision of appropriate infrastructure or non usage of intelligence? Who is sabotaging our military's effort. |
daviddambo: Am not sure you read the post well, this man is favoured, he doesn't talk, people solicit and fight for himGuy, Nigerians are way smarter than what was thought of them previously. Who are the people soliciting and fighting for him? Are they not his cronies, people who are directly benefiting from his govt? We know how all these work. So yes, I read the post and in between the lines which I guess you didn't. |
Why is president Jonathan afraid of everything. He was afraid of debate, scared of stamping his authority on Boko Haram and now afraid of primaries. Mr president, it takes some cojones to perform as a president o. If really you have worked and delivered to people the dividends of democracy you promised then no need to fear anything. But if you have not, its very okay to be afraid. |
Every year at the peak of rainy season power generation improves because there is enough water at the dams. What annoys me is that the government always uses that period of improved generation to spread propaganda that they are working. IT IS FOOLISH OF ANYONE TO BELIEVE WHATEVER THIS MINISTER IS SAYING OF STEADY SUPPLY OF POWER IN OCTOBER. The more bad news is that after the one week of artificially improved power supply we are back to darkness again. |
