PoliticsRe: Plot To Remove Speaker Tambuwal Thickens by hillsate: 9:05pm On Sep 21, 2013
He came crying and begging for our votes. He told us a cock and bull story of how he moved around barefooted( now we know it was because he had just 3 pairs of shoes).
This same man got our votes and now wants to make us captives dancing to his dictates.
He has not fulfilled the promises he made round the country four years ago he is using the metal shoes he bought trying to constrain us for our votes again. Our first civilian dictator. We are watching.

He's not the man we used to know
He's a shadow of himself
I think we lost him long ago

PoliticsNigeria Police Invade Headquarters Of New PDP In Abuja by hillsate(op): 3:50pm On Sep 07, 2013

They know they are just lying.
If this same GEJ by any chance or mistake still remains president after 2015, Nigeria will loose all the democracy dividends of the last 14yrs.
Whoever advised GEJ to go into politics did him a great disservice. He would have contributed more educating Nigerians on fishery.

The 6 Governors forming the new PDP are seasoned politicians.
Remember they were thesame Govs meeting prominent Nigerians in the name of reconciliation.
You think they were doing reconciliation? These guys were purely scheming.
Their working out of that PDP convention was planned well ahead of time and it was for effect.

They were thesame Govs who played the Jang card and left him hanging.
Out of the 23 states controlled by OLD PDP, 7 have been lost leaving them with 16 states.
All these was done to prove to GEJ that 2015 is not uhuru for him
PoliticsRe: The Word Of Paul Is Not The Word Of God by hillsate: 8:29am On Sep 01, 2013
smemud: It is ridiculous to insist, as some Christians do, that Paul’s word is the word of God when Paul himself contradicts this.
No other person in the bible writes like Paul. Far more than everybody else, Paul talks about himself. He is always drawing attention to himself. His epistles are littered with “I,” “me,” “my” and “mine.”
In Romans, Paul refers to himself 103 times. In 1 Corinthians, he refers to himself 175 times. In 2 Corinthians, he refers to himself 103 times. In Galatians, which is one of his shorter books, he refers to himself 69 times! Clearly, Paul is just as concerned about telling us about himself as he is about telling us about God.
Jesus says: “If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.” (John 5:31). Virtually all of Paul’s credentials are his witness of himself. This is a tell-tale sign that his word is not the word of God. If God wants to talk about Paul, he would get others to do so.
All about Paul
With Paul, the gospel is not just the gospel: it is Paul’s gospel. (Romans 2:16). God is not our God: he is Paul’s God. (Philippians 4:19). We are not just God’s beloved, we are Paul’s beloved. (1 Corinthians 10:14). We are not just God’s children: we are Paul’s children. (Galatians4:19). It is not just about Christ’s sufferings: it isabout Paul’s sufferings. (Colossians 1:24). It is not just about Christ’s doctrine: it is about Paul’sdoctrine. (2 Timothy 3:10). Here is a man so totally consumed with himself that he even blatantly appropriates the things of God. The words of such a man must not be confused with the word of God.
Paul says: “Those in Asia have turned away fromme.” (2 Timothy 1:15). But the question is: havethey turned away from the Lord? Paul also says:“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” (Philippians 4:9). This can never be the word of God because Jesus, and not Paul, is God’s standard.
It is ridiculous to insist, as some Christians do, that Paul’s word is the word of God when Paul himself contradicts this. Paul says to the Corinthians: “I speak not by commandment … and herein I give my advice.” (2 Corinthians 8:8-10). Paul’s “advice” may or may not be sound, but it certainly is Paul’s and not God’s. Indeed, Paul sometimes makes a distinction between the Lord’s commands and his own commands. He says: “Unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord .., but the rest is from me, not from the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 7:10-12). Therefore, Paul’s commands are not commandments of God.
If Paul’s word is the word of God, it would not be necessary for Paul himself to flag us when he claims to be speaking the word of God. For example, Paul says: “We can tell you this from the Lord’s own teaching…” (1 Thessalonians 4:15). This is not the Lord speaking but somebody speaking about the Lord. If Paul’s word is the word of God, it would be totally ludicrous for him to say: “The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying.” (2 Corinthians 11:31). This is the statement of a man given to speaking his own words, whose words have been questioned.
Self-opinionated Paul
Who is speaking here: “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes.” (1 Timothy 2:9). Is it Paul or is it God? There really should be no argument about this because Paul himself admits it is his word. This would explain why Christian women ignore it and continue to braid their hair, and wear jewelry and expensive clothes.
Paul is very self-opinionated. For example, he says in his conceit: “Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: but I give my own opinion.” (1 Corinthians 7:25). If Paul has no commandments from the Lord on a subject, it is best for him to keep quiet. Are we now to conclude that his opinion is also the wordof God? Certainly not! As observed, even Jesus never once offered his own opinion. Neither did he ever speak his own words. (John 12:49-50).
Paul’s pride often gets the better of him, leading him to say things he himself admits he should not say. For example, Paul says: “Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too willboast.” (2 Corinthians 11:18). He then boasts about his pedigree and declares himself the bestof all Christians. Can we then still insist that even Paul’s foolish boasting is the word of God? Certainly not! Elsewhere the same Paul admonishes us: “What, then, can we boast about? Nothing!” (Romans 3:27).
Pagan plagiarism
Paul cannot be speaking the word of God when his word is littered with plagiarised quotations ofpagan writers. The man who hardly ever quotes Jesus is in the habit of quoting pagan writers; including Hippolytus, Aratus and Menander; men who extolled the idol god “Zeus.” When Paul says: “We are his offspring,” (Acts 17:28), he is not speaking the word of God. He is quoting the Greek poet Aratus’ “Phaenomena.” When Paul says: “God is not far from each one of us for in him we live and move and have our being,” (Acts 17:27-28); he is not speaking the word of God. He is plagiarising the Cretan seer, Epimenides. When Paul says: “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons,” (Titus 1:12); he is not speaking the word of God. He is here again quoting Epimenides.
When Paul says: “Bad company corrupts good manners,” (1 Corinthians 15:33); he is not speaking the word of God. He is plagiarising the Greek dramatist Menander’s “Thais.” When Paulsays: “The good that I would I do not; but the evil which I would not do, that I do” (Romans 7:19); he is not speaking the word of God. He is plagiarising Hippolytus. When Paul says: “If anywidow has children or nephews, let them learn first to show piety at home” (1 Timothy 5:4); he is not speaking the word of God. He is plagiarising the Roman playwright Terence. When Paul says: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12); he is not speaking the word of God. He is plagiarisingthe Mahaparinibbana Suta Buddhist scriptures.
Time-bound words
Jesus says: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.” (Matthew 24:35). This shows that the words of Jesus are the words of God because they are from everlasting to everlasting. But many of thewords of Paul have passed away. Christians don’t subscribe to them anymore.
Paul says: “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak.” (1 Corinthians 14:34). If this injunction is the word of God, why is it that virtually no church in the world today obeys it? Women don’t keep silent in the churches. Therefore, this word of Paul has passed away. It was never the word of God. It was, and will always be, the word of Paul.
You wrote all these without a source just to make us feel you are smart enough to think. I have seen this long time ago.

Guy, there is no need to respond to your intention, argument.
Whether it is God's word or Paul's as long as it does not go against Who God is, we are good with it.
But remember these men spoke as God gave them inspiration.
PoliticsRe: Suntai Addresses Taraba People On Videotape by hillsate: 11:49am On Aug 29, 2013
Guys, you have to know the politics in Taraba State to understand whats going on.
The governor of Taraba State, Suntai is a christian while the deputy, Umar is a muslim.
Umar was appointed by Suntai after the former deputy gov was impeached by the house of assembly.
Umar neither campaigned nor stood alongside Suntai to be elected.

On the evening Suntai had a plane crash, he was reported dead. Even a presidential aid confirmed his death only to apologise later.
The Muslims/Fulanis in Taraba state came out on hearing of the plane crash and death of the Gov rejoicing and thanking Allah that the infidel is dead, they can now through the deputy assume governorship of the state.

While Suntai was in USA receiving treatment, Umar the acting gov sacked the SSG and chief of staff and installed his loyalists. This was seen as a means to ground his footing in the state before Suntai returns, if he returns.

Everyone can now understand why the first guys to be sacked by Suntai on return is the SSG and chief of staff, then the entire cabinet.

Everyone in support of Suntai to remain in office are mostly the Christians while those opposing his continuous stay are mostly the muslims/fulanis.

So guys, the real issue behind this Taraba imbroglio is religious and nothing political and we all the know the extent each religion is protective of what it has.

The truth is that if it were a muslim in the shoes of Suntai, he would have done the same. We even saw an example with Yaradua.

Shameful as it is, Until we let go of religious sentiments in nigeria, these are the issues we have to live with.

You think is car accident?
You expect him to be speaking like you after the accident that involved a hit on his head?
The last time you had common headache no one could hear your words and you expect a plane crash survivor to be reading news after few months of therapy.

LATEST ON ASUU STRIKE
FG Directs ASUU To Go Back To Classroom
Despite the resolve on Thursday by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, to continue the
on-going strike until all agreements signed in 2009 are reached, thefederal government, on Friday,
ordered that lecturers should go back to classrooms after it had disbursed the sum of N30 billion for
earned academic allowances.
The directive which was given by the secretary to the government of the federation, Sen Anyim Pius
Anyim, during a meeting between the federal government and the vice-chancellors of the 61 public
universities, stated that "Government, hereby, urges every staff of the nation's universities to return to
work as all issues are being resolved."
He said with particular reference to the contentious issue of earned allowances, every staff of the
universities that is so entitled should verify his claim with the university council and accordingly get
paid as "from the foregoing, it is obvious that government has demonstrated sufficient commitment to
the implementation of the 2009 FG/ASUU agreement.
"After series of discussions, government has now provided N30 billion to support the university
councils in settling the earned allowances. The amount will be disbursed to the various university
councils which are in the position to know who is entitled to how much after verification."
He revealed that "Traditionally, universities pay this to deserving staff but because of the amount
which ASUU now claims as arrears, government has decided to assist the university councils to pay"
as government did not receive any computation of amount involved until February, 2013.
"By this computation, ASUU is claiming N92 billion as arrears for three year's payment based on
percentage rage of between 15 and 20 per cent of personnel cost."
While there was consensus that revitalising the tertiary institutions is of critical importance to the
nation, Anyim noted that "when put together, the amount of funds from the budgetary and non-
budgetary sources that goes into the sector is quite huge but without corresponding impact.
While acknowledging the contributions of the Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU, Senior Association of
Nigerian Universities, SSANU, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, and other
stakeholders, Anyim reiterated the government's resolve 'to bringing the students back to school and
appreciated the patience of parents and students as government is making every effort to revitalise
the university system."
It would be recalled that on July 2, 2013, ASUU declared what it called "total and indefinite strike"
over issues it says has remained unresolved pertaining to an agreement it reached with government
in 2009.
Source: LEADERSHIP
Thank you my sister for the update. I wonder why some uninformed characters masquerading as students spread false info around.
Moreso, the only reason the FG is ordering the lecturers back to the classroom is because the FG is insincere.
When the signed agreement is fully met by FG, the lecturers will naturally return to the classroom.

I cannot believe that what we have on this thread are students. You don't even know what this brouhaha is all about. You cannot even differentiate Government propaganda from the real thing.

Somebody earned an allowance, you signed an agreement to implement only to turn back and renege on a SIGNED AGREEMENT!

Out the earned allowance of 87billion, the FG is presenting only 30bn after 5yrs of agreement. Haba.

The FG is now adding 100billion for infrastructures ( which is their responsibility) just to make it look as if they are actually offering N130 billion.

Now this is true state of things. The FG is not even intending to give money. Its just propaganda.

We cannot afford not to be in the know of things that affects our education.

2. if as claimed tithe is 10% and an employer pays 20,000 as follows
a. 3,000 basic salary
b. 5,000 housing (exact monthly house rent)
c. transport allowance 4,000 (exact for the month)
d. health insurance 5,000 ( exact demanded by HMO)
e. internet subscription 3,000 (exact)
What is the tithe of this individual?
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Wrong With Paying Your Tithe In Church? by hillsate: 6:40pm On Aug 21, 2013
damosky12: Predestination is a different ball game. That talks more about our salvation in Christ and not finance.
There is depth of open heaven blessings you can not experience without paying your tithes and offering.
Am not a G.O, neither do I collect tithes from anybody but, obviously from the scriptures, you are expected to be "faithful" to God with your income. Tithe is God's own way of insuring your finance, job, businesses and properties.
The reason many of you lose what belongs to you is simply because you dont pay tithe. The devourer could capitalize on this. If you pay tithes, God said: " And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,.." . That means there is a devourer. I didnt write it o, God did. It isnt a Scam. IT IS REAL!!!
You have been deceived.
if you are quoting malachi 3;10 as your basis for tithe, where one is cursed for not tithing, have you read Galatians 3;13 Where Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law?

As christians we are meant to foot the gospel from our earnings, that is understood but people should not be deceived by trying to use scriptures to coarse them to part with their money.
