PoliticsRe: Probe Me Not My Aides - Obasanjo Challenged Jonathan by hillsate: 12:12am On Apr 29, 2013
Hmmm GEJ, a true leader is known by how he responds not react to criticism, constructive or otherwise.
First it was Elrufai who criticised you and you made sure he always gets embarrassed at the airport in the name of national security.

Oby Ezekwisili challenged you to a debate on how $47 billion foreign reserves was squandered, you not only dismissed it with a wave of hand, you have now sent ICPC to probe her tenure as minister of education.

Gov. Amaechi too rebuffed some of your selfish intents, you decided to humiliate him by grounding his private jet.

Nigerians too have criticised you, now you want to monitor them on the internet.

Oga GEJ, president Obasanjo has thrown to you the challenge of the millennium. Probe him. Show him how a mighty Jonathan you are. Show him that nobody messes with you. Show him you are in charge. Put him in his place. please don't forget. No need to set up a committee first. Just start by seizing his international passport.

If you leave in a glass house, don't throw stones except if your glass house is bullet proof.

Boazizzy08: The Presidency has again dismissed report that a 21-man committee has been constituted for President Goodluck Jonathan’s 2015 presidential bid.
Presidential Media Adviser, Dr Reuben Abati, noted that his principal has continued to restate his resolve to get on with the job at hand rather than engaging in subtle move towards 2015 elections.
Abati, said the media report ( not Daily Champion) painted the picture of a Jonathan Presidency that is solely preoccupied with the 2015 politics, saying it is totally untrue.
He also debunked the insinuation that President Goodluck Jonathan has endorsed a particular person as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Anambra election.
“We therefore disown the claims and allegations of Presidential endorsements or the commencement of 2015 campaigns. The general public and affected stakeholders are advised to be wary of the kind of opportunism, misrepresentation and mischief that usually arise ahead of elections in general.
“The Presidency seizes this opportunity to warn all 2015 political office seekers, and their sponsors, friends or collaborators, to desist from unconscionable exploitation of President Jonathan’s name in the service of jaded antics of self-aggrandisement, promotion and positioning”.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Traffic Tomorrow : GEJ's Visit Vs ACN Convention by hillsate: 11:47pm On Apr 17, 2013
All i can see is a crop of naive nairalanders here.
The presidency has been scared since the day merger of paries was announced.
The president knows that he stands no chance of winning elections once the merger is signed and sealed.
One of the requirement for the parties to merge, is for the separate parties to each hold a convention.
The convention is what ACN is trying to hold. Gej and hid advisers are trying to scuttle the convention because ACN is the backbone of the APC merger. Why must a mere commissioning of a company be attended by GEJ? GEJ knows that his visit to lagos will paralyse movement in lagos which will consequently affect the attendance of the convention by ACN members. GEJ's coming to lagos on the day of ACN convention is not a coincidence, but a deliberate action to scuttle ACN convention.
The responses by the presidency from the two attack dogs, Abati and Okupe clealy confrims this.

He must be a real threat to GEJ and the presidency.
If the presidency really have anything on Elrufai, I assure you they wouldn't waste time in nailing him. Obviously they do not have anything.
To all the GEJ stray bullets here, tell your boss that the work that Elrufai did cannot be matched by GEJ even if he spends 20yrs as president.

Haaa, behold the shoeless one.
PoliticsI Am Struggling To Build My Village House –goodluck Jonathan by hillsate(op): 11:21am On Mar 24, 2013
President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday said he is struggling to build his house in his Otuoke village, Bayelsa State.

He said he might give out the house before he dies if he found out that his children are not ready to live in the village.

Jonathan spoke in Lagos at a fund-raiser for St. Stephens Anglican Deanery and Youth Development Centre, Otuoke.

He said, “We are all mortal beings, we are all biological specimen so we will all die but when we die, what will we be remembered for, what will we leave behind?

“I use to tell people that even the house I am struggling to build in the village, these days in this global age, how am I sure that my children will even stay in my root. They want to go to West Indies, they want to go to Latin America.

“So, I was even joking with people that if I look at the behaviour of my children and if I don’t see any of them that will patronise the village, I will donate my house before I die.”

The President urged wealthy Nigerians to make meaningful contributions to the development of poor communities in the country in order to better the lives of the youth and empower them to make useful contributions towards national development.

He said the project for the St. Stephens Anglican Deanery and Youth Development Centre was dear to him because he wanted to make sure that the younger generation passed through a better system of education different from the one he experienced while growing up.

“I feel the only thing I can do is to make sure that from nursery school to primary and secondary school, there should be a standard educational facility and youth programme, so that it gives opportunity for the younger ones to grow. Even if we die in the next 100 years, people will remember that those before them have something for them,” he said.

Present at the occasion were Chairman of Visafone, Jim Ovia; Chairman Capital oil, Chief Ifeanyi Uba; Chairman of A-Z Oil, Chika Okafor, Chairman Arik Air, Joseph Arumemi–Ikhide, Oba Otudeko and Tony Elumelu.

Also present were Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Tunde Lemo, ministers, senators, members of the House of Representatives and prominent indigenes of Otuoke.

PoliticsRe: The Reasons Haters Hate President Jonathan by hillsate: 10:42pm On Mar 22, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: Some persons who are new on NL would be wondering why HATERS (losers at the 2011 elections) have consistently being abusing, cursing and calling our president all sorts of derogatory names.

Well, after critical analysis of the activities of the HATERS, I arrived at the following as the reasons the HATERS hate our president:

1) The HATERS are losers. They pitched their tent with various opposition presidential candidates during the 2011 elections and lost WOEFULLY. The INJURIES sustained from that humiliating DEFEAT is causing some of the HATERS to behave BADLY. See the views of many of them in the thread below
https://www.nairaland.com/638748/why-youll-never-vote-goodluck

2) The HATERS do not want to be proved WRONG. This sounds petty but it is TRUE. Many of the HATERS are battling tooth and nail to PROVE that they made the right decision by not voting for GEJ in 2011.

3) Ethnoreliguous sentiments at play. Some of the HATERS actually feel that the position occupied by GEJ belongs, by birth, to someone from their own religuous or ethnic inclination. For such persons, no matter what GEJ does, it is abuses, cursing and more abuses.

4) Politics of 2015 elections. Some of the HATERS think they can score cheap political points through sustained campaign of abuses, insults and name calling. They hope that will give Tinubu's APC an edge in 2015.

However, irrespective of the motives of the haters, their campaign of abuses, cursing and insults is dead on arrival. The haters are losers. Once a loser, always a LOSER!!!
Guy, you do not have the capacity to comprehend the degree of retrogression your boss has put Nigeria in, neither do you have the skill to differentiate motion from movement. And hey don't feel bad, its the system that brought you up. Your train of thought therefore not surprising but definitely pathetic.

Shollypopz: I haven't seen a copy of the form and I don't know how clearly the rules were stated.

NYSC is a requirement by the Nigerian government, it's not a choice but mandatory for all graduates. If they choose to make it mandatory, then they have to make sure the rules accommodate all students. If she gets a lot of people behind her and a good lawyer, she might just be the victim Nigerian students need to revoke such rule.

If the outfit is compulsorily for safety reasons, then alternative wears or options should be provided by the government.
I'm happy you said NYSC is mandatory. I hope you know there is a huge difference between mandatory and compulsory.
She should have simply kept differing her service year until she's past 3oyrs then put in for overage.

She's just plain foolish. She knows nothing about covenant. Did she realise that by signing the cultism and dress code lines she entered into covenant with NYSC to abide by all she signed for. Why then did she decide to break with NYSC and claim covenant with God.

Guy, you know nothing about the word of God and stop quoting those text you know nothing about.
How does not wearing trouser sound like the word of God. This is cheap hypocrisy. Both the girl, her dad and her church are simply foolish for indoctrinating and brainwashing that girl to the point of opting out of the camp because she refused to abide by the camp rules. Is service by force? why did she sign the dressing code rule? Is she aware that by signing the code rule and not keeping to it is a sin against God? She could have kept deferring her service year it until she's past 30 and put in for overage.

When contacted, the Ogun State NYSC Co-ordinator, Mrs T.I Anosike maintained that the Service did not expelled anybody. According to her, Ms Ekundayo opted to go instead of abiding by the rules and regulations of the scheme.

She said wearing anything outside approved NYSC kits during the orientation programme was not allowed in the camp. This she said was the reason why every corps member was made to signed undertaking on cultism and dress code.

“Nobody asked her to leave. She was asked to comply with the NYSC directives or leave. So she decided to leave. When she said that she won’t comply, we asked her to put it in writing which she did. So we didn’t expel her, she left on her own.”[/size]

2. They are currently running a systems upgrade. Some of you that are vigilant will notice that MTN is sending out browsing setup to subscribers. If you save the new setup, na you sabi.

How can they claim to be elders and cannot talk to their childen (boko boys) to stop the havoc?
Except of course they are the ones supporting, encouraging and nudging the boko boys on.
This tell you why the actions of JTF gets to them while that of the boko boys is not their business. JTF kills their boys (boko boys) while boko boys kill other people.
