It is based on the fact that life in this world is worth sacrificing in other for someone to attain for life after death / in the next world.

You see op, by the time you are on your death bed, you will then realize the fact living for just 100 years or so is no different from living 1000 years. The way humans were created is that they would be satisfied with only an eternal life.

Only a foolish man will spend this life and fail seek and secure eternal life. That man will have wasted (spent with no hope of gaining back) his life. No matter how well you try to enjoy your life at the end of it you will realize that it wasn't enough.

And also at the end life's journey, when people are about to die, the man who lived as a wealthy man will be no better than a man who lived poorly.

It is the passing of moment things. All the rich man's experience of wealth will now be in the past. Same goes for the poor man. The reality that will be left for them will be the same, ceasure of existence. Yes the rich man will be no better than the poor man then.
