Oprah is a man? undecided
Generic man and not as it relates to gender( as in man{kind} and animals, as different from man and woman).

Apology if it sounds like not being gender sesitive.

Meanwhile on the polls of this thread, 'YES' and 'SOMETIMES' mean the same don't theyhuh
'Yes' means of course! very often

while 'Sometimes' means not too often but from time to time.

carmelily:
And what is NOT MARRIED YET doing on the poll?
'Not Married Yet' wasn't there originally, someone must have sneaked it in while men slept. May be the moderator(s) modified the polls.

should i say one would wish he or she were still single if they were not ccompletely contented with their spouse, if i am very satisfied with the lady i married atleast to a resonable extent, the thought of being single will be a nightmare.

or should the topic have been: Do You Sometimes Wish you were married to someone else?
It is not about regretting your marriage. It is more about seeking a little break from the routine/hassles/clingy-knots and so on.

What she probably meant was that they were 23 and 24 years older than her. That is, if she is 36, they are 59 and 60 years old.

Am I right sistawoman?

FamilyDo You Support Periodic Leave In Marriage? by HIROSHI(op): 10:41pm On Oct 05, 2008
In my previously posted thread (DO YOU SOMETIMES WISHED THAT YOU WEREN'T MARRIED?) I discovered from the poll result and comment that married couple definitely demand a break once in a while but not as a result of their not enjoying their marriages and not as a prelude to divorce, they just need a break from the usual activities.

The question now is: should there be periodic leave in marriages? Say, a month every other year; a year every five/ten years; a week every year e.t.c?

So that means that it is not a man or a woman thing, from time to time; or once in a while this encounter comes, right?

Should there now be periodic leave from marital responsibility? Or this this talk for another topic?

I still believe your marriage is young and you probably don't have kids yet.

28 is mature enough now!

But IBK, in all honesty do you think you could pass the test if you are strapped to a lie detector? Are you saying that there had never been a second or minute in your marriage that you wished you were single again?
RomanceDo You Sometimes Wished You Weren't Married? by HIROSHI(op): 10:32pm On Oct 02, 2008
A professor once said that the reason why women rejoice greatly during their weddings while the men keep a straight faces was because, the woman feels like:"oh, at last I have nailed him!" and the man laments:"Oh, what a fool I have been; trouble was on its own and I went to buy it for myself, now I'm no longer going to be free!"

The question is: Do you sometimes wish you weren't married or that your marital status could be suspended even for just a few hours? Please sincere answers will be appreciated.

O spare me!

Obama my man an anti-christ?

I thought it was Abacha?Oh, he's dead or was it Fidel Castro, oh he is too old! Okay, it was supposed to be Benito Mussouloni but he died before carrying out the function to the end.

Agreed that there would be an antichrist but it sure isn't Obama.

What difference would his living or dying make? There is a sleeping government in Nigeria which requires an infusion or life. I feel him not.

Thank God for America, that has given us choice to vote liberally, otherwise how can a sane adult in 2008 think of voting John McBushPalin? I bow my head in unbelief and shame.

If we were talking about Mike Hukabee here it could be understandable but McCain over Obama, it is like comparing a giant, old and tired pussycat(McCain) to a young but strong and agile lion cub(Obama). Which has the better promise for bringing home more meat? The latter anyday!

Barrack Obama has my vote.

Hey,

Rev Chris Okotie has remarried and he said the wedding is of double significance: Physical and Spiritual.

Physical because he has found a good companion and Spiritual because 'God has now positioned him for the leadership of Nigeria'.

What is your take on this?

PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by HIROSHI: 11:40pm On Aug 06, 2008
Too bad the Ribadus have this kind of fate.

Nuhu's grand father was a powerful minister (of defence) in the first republic but he was later killed by men from the country he served to death. Little wonder Nuhu is being humiliated by the country whose image he helped to rebuild.

May God demote all Ribadu's detractors too.

Did you hear that a person who was a president went back to be an ex-governor? there is already a 50% chance of that happening in Nigeria.
