more dilution of Pz cussons shares means keep adding whenever disposable income show my way. The Lurking continues. Holding steady for tax reform bill to be sanctioned. |
Go bible study, them no go hear, if na to lie or propel propaganda they will be thumping the book they lack knowledge of . see what this one is propagating? ironically coming from the party that twisted the terminology of sheep. Jesus christ did not raise himself from the Dead. stop talking nonesense. |
MakindeHassan:big pharma in the US are pretty much inflating the heck out of this drugs. it's scammy tendency all through the pipeline from donor to recipient. IF Nigeria is serious, India Pharmaceutical companies should be brought to this issue, the differential is crazy, light/day compared to the US. The moles in our government would be the first to talk trash about the product from india sadly. |
Acekidc4:Totally agree. Depending on other nation for handout for infectious disease process management is high-key a silly way of life. Hopefully, this funding hold extends beyond 90 days. Going cap in hand begging all the time for things we should be able to do for self is ridiculous. High time the Executive arm re-evaluate subvention that should be allocated to combat infectious diseases . It's either we survive or perish, generational begging can't continue. |
Thinking out loud, still need to go through refinement of thought. Reflecting on DEI banishment from the us all in the name of "meritocracy" If i had the ears of a president of an African nation, I would suggest they seize this opportunity to bring in Those interested to work together to create something with their expertise. this may mean setting up an impromptu fora if it means flying all invited guest into your country or you heading out to meet them (i.e C-suite or SME's interested in setting up shop as a pilot project ) to see which of your local firms can have them work together. Agenda is simple, pick 2 or 3 industries to start with, few issues to address:- I. What areas can their respective firm be of value to the country, probably start at a small scale. II. Do we have local players that can work together. Sort of an exchange program. III. It's easy to raise issue of security, lack of funds, etc as challenges that wouldn't make them be interested. Where there's a will there's a way. IV. See how an endowment or legal appropriation can be done to start this idea. V. It's obvious this is not for everyone, but this can be the beginning of African Americans (Those who are interested) finally seeing a sort of respite in the motherland. This is an opportunity, I'm not sure recruiters of top firms in African nations are opening their eyes to see the opportunity this is. Maybe they can't afford to pay or entice them. Only time will tell. Random : eyes On ICE contractors going forward to see mispricing in options for possible play or not ![]() |
IF this is what the American populace want/ voted for, to that we say follow the money |
PressMyButton:Edited for beter syntax I have Questions to the point raised above Are there no VC’s or Dean of Ag and engineering faculty that have the fortitude to develop one and other vital tools to make Ag business efficient for our universe cities? Does it mean entities or interfaculty or departmental research hub that will bring bright minds in their respective departments ( undergrad students or grad students Engineering, Ag department, etc) can not be established to address this issue without always running to the government? Of what use are your annual lectures and final year or grad student project work if problems like this can not be resolved even if it means starting from the crudest of approach or collaborating with institutions that have such skills to transfer such ideas? This is a business proposition to generate revenue. you have the labour, yes funds may be meagre, but for the love of christ think outside the box for once head of universities. Bring up offers or incentives for students going on SIWES program, create interdepartmental startup project (with proof of concept and scale, no BS talk with no Workings!) and have such projects as the highest credit carrying part of the 5th year curriculum. Set up some kind of bond (Lawyers over to you to see if this is feasible) to allow participants to be beneficiary of proceeds from patent that may come out of successful innovation. This should serve as reward for sweat equity researchers and student alike have put into the project. Vice Chancellors of some of this universities are pretty much like state governors to an extent or CEO's.The argument of no fund affects everyone. You have access to private entities, it's a no brainer to work with the agricultural research centres and private Ag company in the country to be part of their out-grower schemes. It's easier said than done, but it's totally achievable over time with diligent successive head of the startup and the VC. It's high time they started delivering or be flushed out. Imagine no University of Agriculture in the nation is involved in large scale farming ~ about 5- 10,000 hectares (Livestock or annual crop) in their domain. The land they have has not even been used properly talk less of acquiring more. |
Merry Christmas everyone, wishing a prosperous New year to all and sundry! Mice Down for the year! |
toyeoye:This site is really chill, reminds one of finviz. Is there more coming in terms of features like charts, scanners and current trade placements, etc free vs premium options? I will keep an eye out. Viva Nigeria ! |
Tinapa comes to mind. hopefully, Cross river state government and Nollywood ought to synergize. |
FreeStuffsNG:That was a good move to counter such despicable act before it cause more damage to the company and the unsuspecting public. Radio/ TV sensitisation should be the best way of reaching out to the public for far and wider coverage. Until the legislature pass a death penalty Law for bad actors in the pharmaceutical industry, not much will change. Provide clear evidence of involvement of such people, arraign them without bail send for prosecution.if convicted, Execute with no clause for presidential pardon. |
Wishing our Fellow African brothers a free and fair election. May the best man/woman Win! |
shiwex:Thanks and God bless you and your descendants. |
Where someone see risk, another see opportunity. |
CBN governor should know better than talking about this rhetoric. Brain drain is a crappy lens to see growth. The best man gets the service of the provider. No amount of incentives would make those not interested in living in a place stay. Focus on those who are on ground, sleeve up wanting to do the much needed work as well as constantly create incentives and avenue for tradesmen, entrepreneurs, upscale skilled professionals here and those looking to do something. Create the environ, reward those who do the work. Nigeria never stop advertising itself. Another thing , I hope this dispensation is not sleeping on creating template for immigration policy to encourage small scaled Nomad entrepreneurs. Huge risk, Huge reward. Viva Nigeria, Viva Nigerians Home and abroad!! |
mikeapollo:opinion noted. |
emmanuelewumi:I am not privy to the tender process so i can not speak to that. Are you privy to the process to give such intimation? |
mikeapollo:Criticism is fair game but casting aspersion of corruption without evidence is not a good ground for healthy discourse. I hope you know the Dangote industries tax credit scheme oworonshoki -apapa concrete laden expressway project was done by Hitec when Jb couldn't carry out the project . That said, Julius berger is a good company but it's known for bloated budgets for project they can not try in Germany (home country). I see no reason why Hitech wouldn't be qualified for the much needed coastal highway. |
How come i am just hearing about this national treasure for the first time Hopefully, The catholic church will do his memory justice with an accurate biography. Prayer and Goal is to get to 101 with sharp acuity and health. |

End of 4th Quarter Note to Self FOMC, ’25 Geopolitics Thought Another 25 basis cut is possible in December ’24 (45% chance, this may change based on set of data that is seen prior to next Meeting in December). This seem like recessionary waves have come to stay. It should become imminent in data by end of Q1 - mid Q2 2025. It only mean one thing for me, scan through the choice of companies interested in , then allocate fund for purchase regularly. Geopolitics will be the bread and butter for Q1-Q4 2025, and I am planning accordingly for mispricing in opportunities that may be available or lack thereof. Geopolitical factors to keep an eye out for include Tarrif across euro-china and US- china + a few South east asian countries, possible chip supply crunch / hoarding by clients may resurface. This should open opportunities in other SE asian countries i.e tourism , tech and manufacturing. This region will possibly absorb offshoring by Chinese exporting hubs to reduce the effect of imminent trade debacle which will become a US -WTO whack-a-mole mess and opportunity. China, India, Malaysia, Thailand are places I will be spending majority of time looking out for opportunities short term or long term if the parameter make sense in the respective markets for opportunities in Tech, manufacturing, energy, logistics/transportation and hospitality + Aviation. Thought may be skewed based on information and how geopolitical players show their hand and cards they are dealt with. Homeland Nigeria My resolve remain the same for industry/ sector wide approach since last note to self (may and july). The no brainer act is to add more to positions currently held based on availability of funds. Keeping my eyes on the Tax reform bill proceeding. This is similar to R.Raegan reform act which led to more room for sense of stability and growth in the market. Getting this bill passed will be another hurdle and a catalyst to pave way for confidence in the market and large extent the economy. Hopefully it’s done with the sense of urgency and done properly. Timeframe for ratifying the bill to Law I am shooting for is May or October. It may come earlier than that, or later. ![]() Energy generation opportunity: This is where Chellaram board can sieze the opportunity to increase its revenue by vying for one of the energy project in lagos to add to it's current power generating capacity. It may be a tough fight though knowing other big wigs in energy generation and distribution will be competing for this. That said, it will be a game changer for Chellaram if they get involved (No brainer). Season's greeting , Merry christmas, let the Santa Plays begin!!! Viva Nigeria!!! |
WizardOfNG:can you help with a copy of the bill please? can't lay my hands on the whole thing, TIA |
RayRay06677:edited the response i gave earlier to address the question. check paragraph 2&3. |
RayRay06677:Military takeover is different from out right dissolution/segregation. For Military takeover, everything still runs except there's a decree (which will be catastrophic ) to overide or your investment in bonds goes into thin air technically because your debtor don kaput. Edited 1:02pm --> In a situation of dissolution of the union, the base currency denominated bonds becomes worthless , coupon recoup will be almost impossible. but foreign currency denominated bonds will liquidate secure-backed assets (aka collateral) to payback debtors. Other asset like shares and debentures will be subject to how dissolution affects the companies operations. Liquidation , repatration of capital to the main base (wherever that may be in the respective situation example Luciano & Lansky run casinos , and other US covert operations moving from Cuba after fidel castro took over ) or to shareholders that may be in a different country due to such effect. For companies still functional after dissolution, this may mean trade risk exposure such as tarrifs, import-export controls, currency risk etc. To get a gist of what dissolution/ separation may look like, east-west germanypost WWII is an example to read up on. All that said, Those who have not experienced disruption fantasize about it till it's at the doorstep where buyer remorse is not an option. |
Hi everyone, Interest over the years has grown to see what the vocational side of our educational system can offer. Conversation with some home builders (sole proprietor) is indicating low turn out of reliable tradesmen or women to handle task. The idea at this point is to seek out government owned or Private (Government approved) Technical /vocational schools that teach Masonry and other aspect of home building to prepare the student for employment. The next step will be to evaluate how to make reasonable offer to the graduates or senior students (No room for child labour) for seasonal independent contractor jobs on a small scale with room for expansion and renegotiation as the project expand. Reaching out to get pointers about technical schools where one can get masons/ home builders to employ. Either Government owned or Private (Government approved). The goal is to work with the Schools to have a pipeline of technical school to construction site jobs. This is pretty much at an infant stage. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to @obnoxxious2001 and @SKydivine that have offered suggestions. I look forward to hear from everyine and make this thread a source of information for those seeking this info. |
Obnoxious2001:Thanks for the information, greatly appreciated. At this rate i will open a new thread for follow-up. |
Skydivine:Thanks for your pointer. |
N3TRAL:not true. I witnessed the 8th day prayer of an 108 year old Nigerian lady a month ago. |
Fiscus105:no lie stated! |
Assets and liabilities will be shared - my thoughts.
