freeman67:Yes, IIRC, it took about 3-4 weeks to get the TIN when i applied through that page.Hopefully it has improved. Also check your spam folder every time for safe measure. |
Hi everyone, Reaching out to get pointers about technical schools where one can get masons/ home builders to employ. Either Government owned or Private (Government approved). The goal is to work with the Schools to have a pipeline of technical school to construction site jobs. This is pretty much at an infant stage. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. |
There's nothing wrong with looking for greener pastures anywhere in the world. GO where the opportunity is or are but remember don't trash your motherland on your way out (Doesn't mean you shouldn't speak truth to power) because she will always have a way of bringing existential issues to the front burner in due course. No matter how difficult or challenging this country is, ensure to participate wisely in it's financial hubs. Seek information and educate yourself about it. That is one way of nation building even if you are not a resident of the country. Nothing stops you from doing the same in the nation you are migrating to. Hopefully everyone in the process get what they want. And as for those staying back , hopefully we open our eyes to see the opportunities that is all around us in spite of the unending generational challenges. We will continually overcome. Viva Nigeria, viva Nigerians (Home and abroad) |
delvzy:Naso Multiverse compliance department be every time. It goes to show how unserious and no eye for detail the head of account and compliance is. This is a task an intern can be delegated to do and supervised. I Would not be surprised how the person carries himor herself in their personal life. it's Jarring. |
Uchemus:Your assumption that i am from the north is quite wrong, I am not from the Northern part of Nigeria, I have only shared my experience based on living in the north and having about 95% of my neighbours from all parts of the northern region during that phase of my life. |
YeyeGbami:Comment like that just show low effort and possibly no interaction with the northern region. It's the run of the mill typical erroneous stereotype / lores from previous generation. Sadly, the same mistake made by the past is currently happening in real time. To reconfigure the system at this pace will take a generation starting with the young ones interested in joining the civil service and other areas. |
MOJ584:I do not agree totally with you sir/ madam. Why wait for the contraption to end ? You know states in regions can collaborate in projects for interstate economic growth, but the lack of continuity agenda will truncate the project. When it comes to responsibility everyone blames the FG, when it comes to sharing judicious use of FAAC, everyone is quiet about the mismanagement of allocations and revenue generation. Nothing stops the states (north or south) to start the competition with what they have. Prior to Democracy, everyone blamed the military govt. Nothing stops state governments from judicious appropriation of infrastructural development programs (roads, rail, etc same goes for the LG), Nothing stops the government from investing in agricultural hubs or agricultural companies, oil and gas companies publicly listed in the country and abroad through state wealth fund for annual revenue generation. NO doubt, there is improvement inn certain sectors and states, but we still have a long way to go. |
ednut1:This narrative of dumb north is a stale one, whoever keeps using that is using it at his or her own peril (figuratively). if you have lived with the elite or upper middle-class of the north, You will know they are always playing 3D chess Long game. Acting dumb, but very very calculative. The civil service and the military is a funnel to the end game which is power. The mentality is that of abundance from social capital.Hence, sojourning out of comfort zone beyond seeking education is quite uncommon. a. business man -> mingle with the elite, grow your business-> stay politically relevant in the shadows to guard your business interest. b. civil service or Military -> mingle with the elite through religious activities or business interest -> retire-> join public service. musicwriter:NO be JuJu be that? |
vefexam:It's possible to get the information. Ask the brokerage firm of your choice you are trying to open an account with to provide you the information. |
THis is a D. I.C. Head writeup by the journalist . It shows the journalist knows nothin about the miling industry . Will take the Pan african growth talk seriously if there's evidence of stemming importation of wheat product and gradually replace with home grown wheat. If the minority shareholders are dumb enough to fall for this gimmick na dem sabi, I hope they can take their proceed to queue behind BUA Foods (BUA should surpass Olam and FMN in milling capacity if all things go well within 24 months). |
Update: #Notetoself for BUA Food AGM today https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BB4nj2_uQNY I.Nice AGM update by BUA Foods : more growth for the company ahead. it seem result of production ramp up ( additional wheat milling lines in Lagos and PH + cane sugar farm project upgrade in lafiaji, Kwara.) should will be felt within 12-18 months. II. Sadly, no Investor deem it fit to get more information on BUA foods strategy on wheat BIP. III. Win-Win competition ahead for Rice production and market share between Dangote and Bua.That said, stance remain DCA into both company. It's only sensible to get back to accumulate both coy BUA foods and Dang (sugar/salt) monthly or quarterly based on disposable cash. IV.Lastly, It seem Consumer protection arm of the government ought to work with BuA Food and Cement to get first hand information to investigate the price gouging complaint. This is the second time this year he has said manufacturers and distributors are culprit to the issue. Hopefully FCCPC take this seriously. Viva NIgeria!!! |
olig:You should be able to do that. |
olig:as many as your heart desire. You will follow each firm's account opening process. BE mindful to check the quality of the mutual fund to avoid duplication. It will seem counterintuitive if buying a mutual fund that has same stock as what you have in your stock portfolio and or your fixed income basket (Treasury bill , FGN savings, Bonds, etc) , except duplication is your goal. |
chimex38:You can not run away from bush fallowing if you are a large scale commercial farmer e.g growing annuals on 500 acres to about 10,000 hectares or more. Even with all the precision mapping , mechanisation and fertilizers, you can not avoid low yield acrage. it will only make economic sense to have your low yield fields fallow by rotating with cover crops then get back to production. Thats the way forward most serious agricultural research institutes are pushing for. Hence, the push for zero or low tillage and possible incorporation of buffalos or bison herd on farms to help with faster regeneration. |
tunwumi:The 77km stretch has already been transferred to Ogun state government (may or june this year) for rehabilitation. The state government seem to think it will be completed within 18 months. It will be a moot point to have said road listed in the agenda, since it's taken care of. |
Update: FOMC 50 Basis Point just in. another cut b4 year end is possiblr .!. |
Karemarealty288:It's wild to think that NDLEA and security operatives of the armed forces can not run covert operation to get rid of this bastards. |
Hogwarthtrades:Update: small position approach is key to front running FOMC rates for now. *** Aug 28 TLT - Allowed it to expire worthless with no roll into longer dates. **** TLT sept 30 108 C - still keeping original position, but adding more to cheaper OTM (Out the money calls) viz:- III. Sept 30 104 C - Cheap, what more can i say ? ![]() IV. Oct 25 108c - Besides purchasing this contracts, The plan will be to roll some of the sept 30 contracts into this pnes as well by rnd of the month if the cost make sense. |
Ikmontana1:200k in fees and rate is nasty work, do you care to share what the banking error was before it was rectified? |
teejay5:Repatriation/ re-allocation back into equity and real estate shoul commence shortly with this trend in expectation of rate cut. |
Jacobsontwelve:what's the capacity and cost available? |
Toluway:challenging when it comes to giving suggestions to family issue, please take this one sided opinion with grain of salt as the line i have towed to avoid issues in the future. Here goes my 2 cents to chip in. From your write up the kids you mentioned seem to be doing good for themselves. Don't force them, all you can do is introduce them to the idea and be open to answer whatever questions they have. Always believe adults based on their first response and action, this will save you stress. Considering the 2 offspring you have reached out to are not interested, if you have another, reach out to see if he/she is interested. If no one is interested, It is high time to start to look into setting up a trust (you don't have to be deca/ centi millionaire to set one up ), make up your mind what you want to leave for your wife/ husband first, then the kids , dear relatives and institution you hold dear to heart can also be your beneficiary. Your conversation with the firm will guide how the assets will be structured revocable or irrevocable trust (if you are a resident of multiple nations, you will have to replicate same process based on each countries estate planning law ) . It depends on how the trust is structured, You can leave a percentage of the whole asset for yourself to still manage while the trustee oversee what you want to be in their care. As your wealth increase, you can always transfer to the trust as you deem fit yearly/ biennial, etc. Suggestion is from experience : My next of kin is in my generation, the next persons (2) in line after that are fosters (not sure they will be interested.Hence, preparing handing over the baton is smooth without issues). Hopefully everything works out for you big man/ woman. |
eku oro enu baba bukata if this is the definition of irresponsibility? I am gladly irresponsible . |
well done @Jacobsontwelve what is the maximum temp recorded on the thermostat? can this oven be used to roast and or dry produce like plantain, peanut and cashew ? |
getting an offtaker deal with julius berger cashew processing plant will be a no-brainer for the lucky buyer. |
This table shaking by this SA lady Loud ohh. I hope she and her family will be safe. The truth can be crazier than fiction. Now you know why history re-writers go after archives during war. |
KarlTom:Good news, will turn to great news when the team get serious about wheat backward integration to reduce importation dependency. Jigawa state may become a sweet spot if security measures 're seriously considered as part of business cost by this firm. Arable land in that state and adjacent ones may become one of the most important/ sort after in northern Nigeria if Wheat cultivation is seriously invested in like they are doing for rice. crownprince2017:Live and Let live is key to life. If my opinion warrants insult from someone, all i have to do is say God bless you to the person or ignore such and move on. It's not that deep. ![]() |
Princkez:The land bank strategy is ingenious, hopefully they can take security seriously and not wait on government. #notetoself Afolabi units for stake in the sand is the way to go now! hopefully the team recognise manure from swine is probably one of the highest quality next to guano ( fruit bat shit). Investing in processing the swine manure to compost (pellet or otherwise) is a no brainer to cater to commercial or small scale farmers. Clear labels will be ideal to avoid Halal based agro-producer litigation in the future. |
oluwaseyi0:Seize their passport to avoid them absconding while iinvestigation os ongoing to avoid another Alamieyeseigha stunt. |
If the FG is liable standing as a surety, This is where the AGF should step in to investigate this. I believe the damage Amosun has done to Ogun state, himself and his descendant ought to be blacklisted from the annals of the state history. I wouldn't be surprised if there is more to come to light if proper investigation is done. This POS ought to be held accountable via the following: 1. This should be an assignment for young solicitors and clerks in big law in Nigeria to investigate for opportunity to cash out. Sue him and his accomplice for all he is worth due to his negligence while in office. 2. EFCC ought to investigate this POS. 3. Whatever payment FG makes, take it out of the Ogun state FAAC allocation ASAP, If the state wants to be irresponsible, so be it, your FAAC will suffer for it. |
Random thought for the week for weekend review; Interesting to see opportunity ahead with Real Estate ( Nigeria, North America, and Asia ) via proxy using myriad of options viz: a. REITS- interest is in Health + industrial + office and retail if the number make sense. b. Agro-allied companies (commercial operations with environmentally sustainable practise in annuals, perennials +/- livestock) with large exposure to biologics and other agro-based produce (donwside to this will be finding reliable information for insurance cost in such company book if at all it gets mentioned). Preferred shares ( a safe stop for first in line bankruptcy cashout) and common stock is a way to go about them. c. Development companies: Need to update this space after findings 're completed. He who own the land, own the life of the land He own the land + waterway tributaries fulfils domination of that environ, guard and guide it with all you have. |
