Properties / How Can We Safeguard Lives And Properties? by hollamie(m): 10:08am On Apr 20
Have you ever felt that sinking feeling in your gut? Yesterday, I did. I was at the bank, just trying to get some errands done, when a commotion erupted in the customer service line. A woman's phone was gone! Panic flooded her face, and a wave of empathy washed over me. We've all been there, right? That helpless moment when you realize your personal information, precious photos, and connection to the world are suddenly vanished.

But what really chilled me to the bone was the HOW. This was a bank! Security guards stand at the entrance, eyes scanning everyone who comes in. Cameras are everywhere. How could someone, ANYONE, get away with stealing in broad daylight?

The answer, it turned out, was a young man in white who weaved through the line with one goal: to snatch and vanish. It took all of five minutes for security to confirm our worst fears. This wasn't just a random incident, it was a stark reminder that nowhere is truly safe – not banks, not homes, not even churches.

We all have valuables, things we hold dear, and even more importantly, our own lives to protect. But how can we do that in a world where danger seems to lurk around every corner?

That's why I'm so excited to share this incredible opportunity with you! Crime / Close Call On My Commute: A Shocking Reminder About Safety! by hollamie(m): 10:07am On Apr 16
Yesterday on my commute to Ikeja, I witnessed a scene that sent shivers down my spine. Stuck in traffic, I saw two guys approach a nearby SUV. One pointed towards the driver's side, seemingly concerned. But within seconds, they bolted!

It turned out to be a robbery attempt! The driver, completely unaware, remained still. This close call made me realize how easily we can become targets.

This incident, and many others, raise a crucial question: Who's to blame?

Is it the unsuspecting driver? Or a system struggling to keep up?

The answer lies in taking responsibility. As individuals, we can learn to safeguard ourselves and our belongings. Whether you're a tenant, homeowner, business owner, or manager, security is paramount.

Here's the good news! We're hosting a FREE webinar on April 20th with security experts. They'll share valuable tips on protecting yourself from fire outbreaks, burglaries, and more!

Crime / Don't Be Fooled By The Beep! Myth Busted: Fire Alarms & Your Safety by hollamie(m): 1:56pm On Mar 14
Busted Myth: Loud Beeping Doesn't Always Mean Fire

Think all fire alarms mean a raging inferno? Wrong!

Here's why a beeping alarm might not signal a full-blown fire:

Low Battery Warnings: A dying battery can trigger that annoying beep.
Dust Buildup: Dusty sensors can get confused and set off the alarm.
Burnt Toast? Depending on the location, cooking smoke might trigger the alarm (we've all been there!).

BUT WAIT! Even if it's not a fire, you ALWAYS need to take action:

1. Evacuate Immediately!: Follow your escape plan.
2. Assess the Situation: Is there actual smoke or flames?
3. Investigate (Safely): Check the fire panel for error messages (if the danger is clear).
4. Never Re-Enter! If there's a fire, call the fire department!

There is no definite time to resign unless been led by God

However, what I notice is that you want to go into full agricultural production without having the basics or understanding the market dynamics

If I were to advise, I would go into the marketing and sales of agricultural produce.

If you begin with this skill, you will learn how to sell or market agricultural produce, as well as have a list of the potential markets which will help you when you go into cultivation

Crime / One Hidden Secrets About Making Money by hollamie(m): 8:25pm On Jun 17, 2023
A lot of people ask the question (How do I make money Online)and yet no definitive answer

Whilst flipping through blogs, YouTube videos, seminars, conferences etc

Its hard to discover this major secret as schools and religious institutions find it hard to discuss it

Before we delve into making money online, let's discuss how people make money traditionally or offline (I mean day to day activities)

Here's an illustration

While moving from lagos to Ondo in a bus, one of the commuters was thirsty and needed water desperately

The solution was to find someone selling pure water or table water and then offer money in exchange for the pure or table water

If an instance, you have money and can't get someone that sell water. What Happens?

You will not get the water

In a case if you dont have the money and you find the person that sells water. Will you get water?

Hell No

This means that before you can make money be it a wage or salary, you must give something in return for the money

It could be a trade by barter ( meaning exchanging money for what you want)

How does this affect making money Online?

Online is a mirror of the offline world meaning that the internet showcases or mirrors whatever happens physically on the earth 🌎 we live

Career / How Messi Suspension By PSG Can Influence How You Can Make Money Online by hollamie(m): 3:42pm On May 04, 2023
The news of Messi's suspension broke and shook up the internet in various ways, this goes beyond doubt that many will put their perception into it. However, we are here to discuss how Messi's suspension by Psg could influence how you can make money online

Making money Online is quite a mirage for quite a lot of us due to the fact it was hardly taught at homes or schools. Another reason could be the disparity of times we are in, this era is called the digital age where microscopic things do not need microscopes to become bigger

Just with the internet, your small-scale business can hit various continents of the world in little or no time

How does Messi's Suspension by Psg affect Influence Money Online?

Let's explore Messi as a footballer

Messi is a footballer who has over the years built a name around the game called "soccer". From a country like Argentina to Spain and then to France.

While doing all this, different sorts of merchandise such as endorsements, campaigns, advertisements, etc come with the soccer game. This is why Messi was preferred as the new tourism brand ambassador by the Tourism Ministry of Saudi Arabia on May 12 2022,

The main goal was to promote Saudi Arabia to the outside world rather than just a religious centre, This is why he schedule his routine visit on one of the free days before the next football match after the PSG match at the weekend.

Whilst he was en route, he got a notification that there was a scheduled training. As this was impromptu, he could not meet up. On coming back, he was suspended

Having understood the background information of the suspension of Messi by Psg, here is how it should influence you're making money online

As an individual, with a job or a work be it skilled or unskilled.

Here is what you have to know, that skill or business can yield more business depending on your mindset and insights

In Messi's case as a footballer, merchandise such as being a brand ambassador, influencer etc. were extra ways to make money online

There are many other examples I can use such as Macaroni, kiekie, and portable amongst the rest are various Nigerian celebrities who make money not just by their skills

For you to increase your income, make money online, and have the financial security you wish to have. Its important you see beyond that skills and job

There is no restriction to you making money online irrespective of the skillset. A roadside hairdresser can augment her income through diverse means such as

a. selling products such as hair creams, hair wigs, extensions etc. (selling physical products-ecommerce)
b. reviewing different hair products (based on brands), discussing challenges in hair styling - (starting a vlog or podcast)
c. selling services such as hairdressing, hairstyling etc-
d. Training of prospective students
e. Consulting and
f. Selling your experience(what you know) as ebooks and videos. This is referred to as selling digital products

Doing this will not restrict your business within the four walls of a shop, it will enhance the scope of your business, and increase your income. From this, you can become an ambassador of one of the brands which can earn you royalties

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Never Pay Money To Buy These 3 Courses Again... by hollamie(m): 2:13pm On May 01, 2023
They are not all scammers, the honest truth is that we want an overnight success without putting in the effort

My journey as a content creator to a mini importation expert and now to someone who can manage social media and various digital marketing services is about 3 years

If I tell you to come a course on my importation secrets how I can buy phones and laptops from USA , you will say it's scam whereas you don't want to undergo the process

Although quite a number of people are trash, they dont know jack and they influenced other people to buy a course they don't even know

However, if you care to listen.

3. Crypto courses

Career / Re: I Am Approaching 40 And Am Scared My Dreams Are Not Realistic by hollamie(m): 3:03pm On Apr 28, 2023
greatopec:
Good day Nairalanders
I will be 40 on Oct 19 this year and I am scared the kind of life I have always desired may not be
achievable. Let me list these things that worries me so that you can probably advise me or assist me in achieving any of them.
1) By 40 I had wished I will be living in my house with cars in my garage
Current situation- I am a salary earner who eagerly waits for the salary to drop before my family can eat conveniently every month.
2)I love cars and driving. Was thinking of getting a good car for Uber business.
Current situation- I have not been able to gather enough money to buy a car for Uber or personal use.
3)Seeking greener pasture abroad.
Current situation- I have not been able to have enough disposable income to even get a passport to start with in the first place.
4)Self development. I had interest in programming so I decided to learn coding and all that. I started with free code camp and also this thread by iyenimofe on nairaland has been so helpful https://www.nairaland.com/1383359/learn-web-design-live-nairaland/6#17571611
The issue I have progressing is that of enough data subscription to watch more tutorials.
5)Acquisition of at least Masters.
I have a passion for learning and self development but I struggled to have my HND with distinction. Gathering enough funds to start my masters program has been an uphill task.

Little about my background
I am an HND graduate
I have a sister who is responsible for also.
I have a wife and two kids.
I work 8-5weekdays

This is quite so overwhelming especially in a country like Nigeria, i understand how you feel especially been in that shoes

Here is what i advise and I appreciate God for what I am today

Its better late than never
Worrying will not solve the issue, it will however add to it
Likewise coping and trying to imitate another person is no brainer

Kindly take 15-30mins of your time, to define what you want in life(please put in priorities not needs)
Look out for people who achieved this feat legitimately and successfully
Surround yourself with positive environment and people
Be flexible and ready to learn and adapt to new changes

This points are small but mighty to kickstart changes in your life

Business / Re: . by hollamie(m): 4:14pm On Apr 23, 2023
Before you consider what business you can start

Take a deep analysis of yourself

What are your passion or interests
Find a problem that aligns with your interest
Carry out a pre test on this business idea, this is when you start the business with about 20% of the money you want to use to kickstart the whole business

In all of this, ensure your interest aligns with solving a problem in or where you live

I write this because i have once been in your shoes and I know what it feels like

No business is too big that you can start small, it's even in the starting small that you get to learn and develop experience and expertise

This is not to say others are wrong but we can only talk about what we know but what I just shared with you is wisdom that you would appreciate if you apply it
