Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Holori(f): 3:58pm On Aug 03, 2022
Good Day All,

I have few questions to ask for clarification before I commence my application.

Due to the stress in the processing of Nigerian international passport, I'm yet to change my Surname to my husband's name. Would this cause any confusion in my application.

* All my documents contains my surname (fathers name)

* I'm married with a child

* is it safe to indicate married in all application forms? - my husband and child would be my dependents.

* I actually intend to keep my surname name (maiden name) or hyphenate both surnames.

* I have marriage certificate - Ikoyi registry.

* However, I want to clarify if different surnames would affect my (our) application.

Thank you.

Family / Re: My Brother's Marriage Is About To Collapse. by Holori(f): 9:02am On Jan 21, 2021
Does your brother listen to his wife and children when he was very buoyant or uses paying of bills to shut them up?

How was the relationship between the father and his children in the past?

Does he listen to advice and suggestions from his wife and children?

Maybe when he had money, he was only settling bills, had no time to play his role, and doesn't listen to his nuclear family.

You brother might even be more of an extended family man than actually spending quality time with his family. So after his numerous transfers, that is when he comes home on a monthly basis, he still gives little time to bond with his nuclear family, because whenever he returns all the extended want to spend some time with him.

Your brother might even be listening to you more than he listens to his wife and children.

The nuclear bond from the father/husband is weak.

Crime / Re: My Experiences With Pick-pockets by Holori(f): 7:45pm On Jun 26, 2015
durosegun:
@OP, I wasn't lucky as you were. I had a terrible experience in the hands of pickpockets like four years ago, when I was still working in a company on agindigbi road, ikeja. It was on a Saturday afternoon and I just finished from work, I just exited the company's gate when one of two guys on a bike waved at me and asked to wait. I first ignored him but he kept on making gestures that implied that he knew me somewhere so I stopped.
He came to where I was standing and we both shook hands. I wanted to leave cos I was feeling unease then he asked me if I knew anyone by the name ifeayin that was living in omole estate. I told him that I had a friend by the name but he was living in ikeja and not omole. The next I noticed was the guy grabbing me by trouser, telling me that he would have done worst to me if I had offended him the day he saw me with my friend in ikeja.
Bro, I was lost and was just wondering about what was happening. I shook the guy's hand again and we both agreed that it is good to always do good and the guy went for the bike that brought him and he left.
As I was thinking about the drama that just happened, my mind quickly went straight to my wallet which was inside my back pocket and I felt relieved that it was there and immediately I felt that my front pocket was no longer heavy, my phone was gone. I was dumbfounded cos I didn't even know what to do, I couldn't scream and I couldn't do anything. I called thenumber but it was switched off.
Ever since then I have stopped giving audience to people I don't know on the road.
Eyah. sorry
